Twilight Sparkle, Rainbow Dash, AppleJack, Rarity, Fluttershy, and Pinkie Pie have activated the Elements of Harmony and are about to fire the beam at the monstrous Nightmare Moon and end her once and for all. This probably would have been the end for her had this been any other Nightmare Moon but this Mare in the Moon is smart and knows how to counter the rainbow beam. She teleports the beaten Princess Celestia in the line of fire as a meat shield.

Taking advantage of the young mare's shock, Nightmare Moon quickly captures them while knocking the Elements of Harmony at her hooves cackling like mad. All hope seems lost as the fabled Mare in the Moon raise her hooves high, preparing to shatter the elements once and for all and let her night reign forever. As the mares cry in despair, Celestia whispers one final prayer to the Overmare known as Faust, aka her mother.
Her prayer was answered when out of nowhere a blur scoops up the Elements and frees the mares from their bounds. The blur reveals to be an Earth Pony stallion that introduces himself as Daydreamer and he challenges Nightmare Moon to a one on one fight. Will he be able to win the fight or is he doomed to fall?
