//-------------------------------------------------------// Grandaughters of Discord -by LoverG- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Tennis Ball/First Day, First Insanity //-------------------------------------------------------// Tennis Ball/First Day, First Insanity It was a rosy morning when, a couple were sleeping peacefully in their bed. The sleeping couple slept together while hugging each other. The day started when the doorbell rang. The colt opened his eyes and looked at his wife. He smiled with a ‘’You get it.’’ The mare woke up by her husband’s voice. She smiled. ‘’No, you get it.’’ Mothball pushed a little further. ‘’I’m not the one closest to the door.’’ ‘’So?’’ Screwball asked cockily. ‘’So, you get it.’’ ‘’Look, I’ve been getting it for two weeks, it’s your turn to get it.’’ ‘’No,’’ Mothball protested. Screwball raised an eyebrow. ‘’ We made a deal on this, remember?’’ Mothball didn’t’ look convinced. ‘’oh yeah? Since when? -‘’ That was when Mothball remembered something. He had a flashback for when he had made a deal with Screwball. He was with her at Fluttershy and Discord’s house for a tea party. He was having a conversation with his beautiful, precious, and very powerful wife. ‘’So, hon, have you cleaned the bathroom yet?’’ asked Screwball. ‘’yes, sweetheart.’’ Replied Mothball. ‘’Good, Because I hate to scrub the toilet again.’’ Screwball said. Fluttershy’s face lit up. ‘’oh! That reminds me, Discord, have you finished making that cake? Besides, I smell something burning.’’ Discord Screeched in alarm. ‘’My cake!’’ As the colt dashed to check on his dessert, Fluttershy sighed. ‘’I better go follow him, that’s the third time he forgot to check on the food he cooks this week.’’ As Fluttershy followed her husband, Screwball scooted closer to hers. ‘’Promise me.’’ She whispered. ‘’What?’’ ''Promise me to get the door tomorrow! Don’t act innocent.’’ ‘’But we’ve been taking turns since last month, you…’’ ‘’Look, I’ve been getting it five weeks,’’ She said, rolling her eyes. ''It has to be your turn!'' ''But, Screwy, I've been getting it for six weeks! It has to be-'' Suddenly, a baby cut him off with it's crying. Screwball looked at it and rocked it gently. ''Shh, it's ok, Tennis. You see?! Even Tenny agrees with me!'' An infant with a yellow coat and a curl of lime green hair was in Screwball's arms. Her eyes Fluttered open, revealing them to be Lime green spirals for pupils. Mothball sighed. ''Screwy, Tenny can't decide anything, she's just a baby! She was probably crying because she wants something!'' He trailed off as the little filly stared at him with her eyes and pouted. It was if she was trying to intimidate her grandmother's stare. ''Now don't look me like that, young lady!'' He scowled. The filly huffed. The colt rolled his eyes. ''Tenny, You're embarrassing me in front of your mother!'' A shadow loomed over Mothball, but as he looked up, a gallon of chocolate was poured on him. Screwball couldn't contain her laughter while The foal's lips curled into a devious smile. A soaked Mothball looked at his daughter in blind embarrassment. ''Tennis Ball.. don't do that again.'' Another shadow loomed over Mothball, as he looked up, instead of chocolate milk, there were lots and lots of tennis balls about to crash on him. ''Aw, nuts.'' he muttered to himself. the tennis balls dropped on him like an anchor. in a few seconds, he was already drowning in the tennis balls. Screwball laughed contagiously, while Tennis Ball laughed along with her mother. ''We're back!'' The voices said from the next room. When Fluttershy and Discord returned, they gasped in astounishment. ''What Happened here?!'' Then Tennis Ball's crying. Oh, Mothball remembered that part. It's not that he hated his daughter,or visa versa, its just that she's so loud sometimes. Nevertheless, he loved his daughter. He loved her SO much. and the best part was, she was just like her mother. Just then, Tennis Ball really started crying. Mothball snapped out of his memory and Looked at Screwball. She gave him a look meaning: ''You gonna get it or what?'' He sighed and got of bed. he reached the door and unlocked it with his magic. He gasped and saw it was Discord. He seemed unamused, there was a diaper on his left antler and he was Giving him his five - month old daughter, who was giggling innocently. Mothball sighed. ''Teleported again?'' ''This kid is a lot of hard work.'' Discord admitted. And he was right. Tennis Ball was a sweet filly. Just like her grandmother, she was shy and a tiny bit anti - social, but the only company was her family and animals, that was, until she met golidie Thundercloud. Tennis Ball was in class in kindergarten when she heard whispers from behind her. She looked back silently, trying not to get the unwanted attention of Mrs. Cheerilee. It was a blue mare with blonde hair and dark blue eyes whispering to a white mare white mare with gold hair and green eyes. She could make out what they were saying as clear as day. ''It's that half pony daddy and mommy talked about!'' ''Yeah! I've heard so much about her! What with those eyes!'' ''Seriously, she looks like a blind mare with those eyes!'' ''She needs to see a doctor for those eyes.'' ''And isn't she supposed to have a mental side or something? She may seem sane, but everyone knows she's INsane!'' Tennis Ball tried to drown out the words that were coming out their mouths. Freak! Mental Mare! Half Pony! Insane fool! She doesn't belong in this world! ''Hey! cut it out, you two!'' Tennis Ball looked up, and looked towards where the voice came from. There, she saw a gold Pegasus, about her age, with violet eyes sitting behind the two bullies. She could feel her hot tears that streamed down her face. The gold Pegasus stared at the two bullies and Tennis Ball could tell that they were Rivals. ''Don't you think that's enough damage for today?'' The gold Pegusus remarked. The blue earth pony scoffed. ''Oh PLEASE. It's not like she'll understand. Mental Freaks are not meant to understand.'' Then Tennis Ball broke. Her sanity snapped as soon as she heard those words. She stood up, the anger raging in her eyes. Everyone looked at her, including mrs. Cheerilee. ''Tennis Ball?'' She ignored her teacher. Mrs. Cheerilee got mad. ''Tennis Ball, sit down!'' ''No!'' Tennis Ball snapped as she wrenched her head at her teacher. Mrs Cheerilee Gasped and kept her mouth shut. Tennis ball Turned back to the fillies. Who were confused and Terrified. Lightning Flashed behind Tennis Ball She started to breathe heavily as she towered above the Frightened fillies. ''Not meant to understand? We'll see about that.'' The students looked up as a dark shadow covered them and screamed when they saw Tennis balls hurdling directly towards The blue mare. They all scattered out of the way. Tennis ball managed to grab The gold Pegasus before the Tennis balls hit her with her magic. Tennis Ball's eye twitched as she glared at the mare. Money Maker let out a shriek as lime green light enveloped around her, pressing her into a sphere. The others backed away as she bounced on the asphalt. ''We'll settle this outside, shall we?'' The filly smiled insanely. She and The others were teleported outside. Mrs Cheerilee included. A strong, cold wind blew as soon as they were outside in the basketball court. Tennis Ball lifted the sphere shaped pony in the air, and threw it back down as hard as she could. Money Maker cried in pain as she did so. ''Stop! Please stop!'' Money Maker pleaded. The filly screamed as she was thrown across the basketball court and into the net. The insane filly then darted her eyes at Golden Delight. Before she had a chance to escape, she was pressed into a ball as well and tossed into the other basket. ''Tennis Ball stop!'' Mrs. Cheerilee called. ''There's another way to settle this.'' ''And what would that be?!'' The filly again yelled, wrenching her head to her teacher. This made the earth pony jump in panic. The filly smiled. ''I thought so.'' ''Please stop!'' The golden Pegasus yelled. ''You don't have to do this!'' ''And why not?!'' ''Because this is wrong! You shouldn't get upset about what they say.'' ''Kid, are you nuts?!'' An older student bellowed. ''Nuts?!'' the crazy look on her face made everyone jump. ''Don't you fools know who I am?! I AM TENNIS BALL SCREWBALL DRACONEQUUS! DAUGHTER OF MOTHBALL AND SCREWBALL AND GRANDDAUGHTER OF DISCORD! If you all make fun of me, and my family, I SHALL HAVE YOUR HEADS! YOUR HEADS!'' As she let out a frightening laugh, the sky turned red and a bolt of lightning struck. ''No! Tennis Ball, please! See what you're doing! see what's happening now! You're not getting anywhere with this!'' Tennis Ball paused and looked at The Gold Pegasus. she had concern in her eye. No one has ever actually cared for her that much other than her family. The sky turned back to blue. and she stared at the Pegasus. A tear fell down her cheek. She looked around. everything was a disaster. she fell to her knees and cried. the gold Pegasus patted her back for comfort. everyone stared at her with sad faces. Tennis ball sat hunched on the school steps. Even though the door was closed, she could hear the conversation clear as day. "That half-pony nearly killed my girl!" Gold Digger bellowed. "She didn't mean to hurt any pony," Screwball insisted. "She's a menace! You should expel her at once!" "No!" Golden Delight's mother screeched. "A child like that should be in an asylum!" "After all, what else can you do with the Devil's grandchild?!" Screwball gasped and Tennis ball heard a slap. "How dare you insult my child and my Father?!" "Every pony, calm down!" Cheerilee shouted. "Calm down?!" Golden Delight's mother shrieked. "Look at my daughter! Look at his daughter! That half-thing must be punished!" "And what about your kids?" Scootaloo demanded. "They hurt my Goldie! It serves them right for hurting my angel!" Tennis ball winced as she tried to block their words out. "Freak!" "Devil child!" '' Mental Freak!" "Halfling!" "Monster!" "She doesn't belong!" A tear fell down her cheek. The sound of the door slamming open broke her out of her trance. She looked up to see Money Maker, Golden Delight and their parents send her death glares as they passed by. The boys held ice packs to their heads. Next came Scootaloo and The gold pegasus, but they were silent. Then her mother appeared. She was not happy. "You're lucky she didn't expel you," she said calmly. Tennis ball hung her head. "Honey, this is the third complaint I've received this month! I've let the other mishaps slide, but this…this is worse than the piano incident!" "I'm sorry," the filly sobbed. "I...I don't know what came over me, I...I didn't mean…" Screwball sighed and sat beside her daughter. "Look. It's noble that you were standing up for yourself, but you hurt those ponies just as they had hurt you." "I wish I had done worse." ''Tenny!" "At least then it would have all stopped!" She sniffed. "They're right, Momma. Maybe I am evil like they say. I…I don't wanna be evil!" She cried into her mother's chest. Screwball stroked her mane tenderly. "You're not evil, sweetie. You just made a bad decision." "What if I can't control myself next time? What if I...?" "You'll learn, hon. Maybe…you shouldn't use your powers anymore, at least not in school. Okay?" Her daughter glanced up. ''But momma, I can't control it! It's only a one time thing when i'm mad or upset!'' Screwball gave her a look. ''Maybe we'll have to teach you how to control this power.'' The gold pegasus slowly approached them. "I still think you were pretty crazy back there, but...thanks for standing up to those bullies.'' Tennis Ball looked at her new friend and then suddenly embraced her. The Pegasus was shocked at first, but hugged her back. ''My name's Goldie Thundercloud.'' She said after she pulled away. She looked at the orange Pegasus. ''This is my Mommy, Scootaloo.'' ''Pleased to meet you kid!'' she said. Over the past seven years Tennis Ball seemed to be a curious pony. She was mostly curious about her powers. Every time, she would have these sudden magical surges when she is either upset or angry. It didn't take long for Screwball and Mothball to notice her magic to grow stronger. Tennis Ball was playing with her ball when she heard Crying. She started to wonder where it was coming from. She followed the sound to her parent's room. She wasn't allowed in there so she peeked through the door. It was her mother and father. She didn't know what was going on, they have been acting strangely since that incident at school. ''Screwy, please, she'll learn over time!'' Mothball assured. ''No! I'm not giving up my baby girl!'' Screwball cried. ''We have to! This is best for our daughter!'' ''Need I remind you she has her mother and grandfather's powers!'' ''Yes, but she is the daughter of a changeling! with that much power she won't be able to control it!'' ''Mothy, we can't! She's our only child! I can't live another day without her!'' '' Twilight will teach her everything she knows!'' ''She's seven, for crying out loud! I'm not letting Twilight poison her mind with her boring lessons!'' ''You've been stressed out from teaching her so much! She needs proper help!'' ''Are you saying that her mother's help isn't proper help?!'' ''No! I'm just saying that Tennis Ball needs some pony who's experienced!'' ''I'm experienced!'' '' I know! but you're a mother now! you're experience is going to spoil our child!'' Screwball paused and stared at her husband in sadness. she then hung her head. ''I just want what's best for Tenny! She's my only child, and I...''' Tears started to fall down her cheek. ''I...'' Tennis Ball gasped quietly. ''Don't cry Momma, don't cry!'' She teleported to her room and searched her drawers. Her search was cut short when she found a locket she planned to give her mother. the locket had a picture of her and Screwball. ''Momma's gonna love this.'' Tennis Ball Whispered under her breath. ''And love it she will.'' A voice said. Tennis Ball looked up and saw a figure at her widow. it was twice her mother's height, and long hair fell to it's waist. Tennis Ball gasped and backed away. ''Who are you?' ''Relax, child, I am here to help you.'' the figure said. ''Help me?'' Tennis Ball said in confusion. ''Yes. just come with me.'' The figure ushered. ''No. This... This not right.'' ''Trust me, child, I will make your dreams come true!'' The filly hesitantly walked to the figure, but before she got too close, she heard her parents call for her. ''Tenny?'' Screwball called. ''Tennis?'' Mothball called. They got to the room, and Screwball gasped. ''Tenny!'' Tennis Ball's ears perked up. ''Momma?'' The figure growled,, and before anyone could do anything, Tennis Ball was grabbed by magic. She screamed. ''Momma!'' Screwball screamed and grabbed her daughter's front hooves. ''Tenny!'' Mothball grabbed his wife and pulled. But the figure's magic was too strong. They were all dragged to the window. ''Tennis! Hold on sweetie, hold on!'' But Tennis Ball couldn't hold on much longer. Screwball lost her grip on Tennis Ball and She got sucked into a portal. ''No! Tenny!'' ''Momma!'' Were Tennis Ball's last words. Screwball was pulled back in. Mothball fell to his knees and cried. ''NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!'''' Screwball cried at the top of her lungs. she hollered so hard you could hear her from all over Equestria. Discord appeared with Fluttershy next to him. ''Screwy, what's wrong?!'' Discord gasped. ''Is everything alright?!'' Fluttershy squealed. ''What happened here?!'' Discord continued. ''Where's Tennis Ball?!'' Screwball just gave them a face with tears in her eyes. Her daughter, her protégé, Her only child, was gone. She didn't know what to tell her parents. in fact, she didn't know what to tell anyone! She just cried. ''Tennis...'' She wheezed. ''She... She was taken!'' Discord gasped. Fluttershy doing the same. ''I tried. I tried to save her!'' Screwball cried loudly. ''But she...'' Screwball broke into tears. Fluttershy flew towards her, Tears welling up her eyes. ''Not my grand baby!'' Discord cried. Mothball doing the same. Then, Screwball noticed something shiny in the corner of her eye. She gasped and saw it was a golden locket in the shape of a heart. She picked it up with her magic and opened it. she Broke into more tears at what she saw. A picture of her and her daughter hugging. She held the object to her heart ''I love you Tenny.'' She said. ''Momma loves you.'' No matter what, Screwball wouldn't rest until she found her daughter, that was, until a new sort of chaos started to form. Author's Note Screwball and Mothball belong to disneyfantic! i'm a big fan of her! and Tennis Ball was actually their first daughter! //-------------------------------------------------------// Fluffball //-------------------------------------------------------// Fluffball The wedding bells chimed outside of the church of ponyville. Mothball was the groom's side as the bride walked down the aisle. Pumpkin Cake met a brown colt with black hair, brown eyes and ground chocolate being poured into a bowl for a cutie mark named Coco Powder. they started dating, and a few years later, he popped a question to her and she happily accepted. Now, they were getting married under the roof of the church of Ponyville. Pumpkin Cake was wearing a puffy but elegant white gown with a golden lace at the bottom of the hem and a see - through veil so that Coco could still see her incredible blue eyes. She was so beautiful that the world stood still in his eyes. Screwball held the hem of the dress while she was walking, followed by her maid of honor, Crystal Star, the ring bearer was Spike, and, with an empty basket in her mouth, was flower filly Phoenix Sun, the only daughter of Sunburst and Starlight Glimmer. Mothball was in his finest disguises: a blue unicorn with brown eyes and black hair, dressed in a black tuxedo to match the grooms, only thing the Groom had a blue bow and he had a green one. Mothball could feel the love radiating off the soon-to-be-married couple as well as the not-married one. While he'd learned to control his feeding around ponies, he could still feel instances of love without trying. He was glad to see the two lovebirds tying the knot. After Twilight had used her magic to slide the rings onto the bride's and groom's hooves, she announced, "I now pronounce this couple husband and wife." Pumpkin and Coco didn't wait for the princess to tell them to kiss. The crowd cheered, but the bride's family was the loudest as they shouted "Yee-haw!" and threw their hats in the air. The reception was even rowdier, as the bride and groom's first dance was to an upbeat country tune. Mothball stood and watched from the punchbowl with Pumpkin and Applejack "Guess this means we're related now," the earth pony said to the unicorn. "Guess so," Pumpkin giggled. "So," she said with a sly grin, "when are you and Spike gonna have another?'' Applejack's orange cheeks turned red. "Well, uh…we kinda decided to wait until our baking business gets off the ground. You know. We wanna be able to provide for each other before we take any big leaps." Lightning sighed as she watched other couples join the bride and groom on the dance floor. "Looks like I'm the only single one in the group." "You still have time," Mothball pointed out. "I mean you guys are hardly even twenty yet." "Yeah," Cinnamon Stick smirked. "Thunder had to marry my cousin because Uncle Big Mac wasn't sure of his 'intentions' towards his daughter." "Boy, do I know how that feels," the changeling muttered under his breath. "I know we're all young," Lightning sighed, "but now that my Aunt's settling down, I kinda wanna settle down too." "You sure you're ready after that breakup with Aquafresh?" Cinnamon Stick asked. "Yeah, I think so." "Then you're in luck. 'Cuz I think my cousin Apple Tart over there's giving you the eye." Lightning looked in the direction he was pointing and then raised an eyebrow at him. "Aren't they all my cousins now?" "Only by marriage. Besides," he whispered in her ear, "they're distant." The pegasus grinned and made her way across the field. "Think it'll work out?" Cinnamon Stick asked Mothball. The changeling shrugged. "They both have a slight attraction. I can't predict the future though." "Hey!" "Oomph!" Mothball exclaimed as a pink hoof wrung around his neck. "How 'bout a dance, Lover Boy?" Screwball demanded. The changeling smiled. "Sure." She pouted. "I wish you wouldn't wear that disguise. Ponies are used to you enough.... Because of Tennis Ball." Mothball sighed. "The ponies of Ponyville are used to seeing me. Apple Blossom's cousins, however…" "Oh, so what if they see you? What's the worst that could happen?" "I don't know. A giant mob of cowponies carrying pitchforks and shotguns?" "Oh, you!" she giggled, playfully nudging his shoulder. "No, he's right, actually," Cinnamon Stick said with a shrug. "There's always a pitchfork or something at these things, in case the groom gets cold hooves. Did ya hear about my parents' wedding?" Screwball rolled her eyes. "You're not helping. Whatever. I still want that dance." She pulled her disguised husband onto the dance floor. Mothball was usually a splendid dance partner, as all changelings learned to dance as a way of seduction. However, he was not prepared for square dancing. Screwball ended up taking the lead and twirled him on his hooves before dipping him. "Just so you know," she said, bringing him back up to her eye-level, "you didn't have to wear a disguise at our wedding." "Oh, that's good, I guess." He paused and then looked at her with wide eyes. "Ahem!" They looked up to see Discord looming over them. "Dad!" Screwball groaned. "I'm almost thirty! Lay off!" "Chill, sweetie!" the draconequus said, putting up his hands. "I only wanted to ask my daughter for a dance. Your friend there is doing the same." He pointed to where Apple Blossom and Big Macintosh were dancing; Thunder Dash and Rainbow a few feet away. Screwball smiled as she took her father's paw. "Okay, Daddy." "We're almost there!" Pinkie Pie chimed as she led Screwball and Mothball towards Sugar Cube Corner. Screwball was having trouble walking as she was now nine months pregnant and her belly was more swollen than it was supposed to be. She nearly fell forward to have her husband catch her. "You sure you don't want me to carry you?" She shook her head as she steadied herself. "No, I can handle it. Aunt Pinkie, what's this all about, anyway?" "You'll see!" Pinkie snorted as she bounced up the bakery steps. Screwball was about to follow her when Discord scooped her into his arms. "Dad..." "But you can't walk up the steps! You might trip and hurt yourself and the baby!" She sighed in surrender and let him carry her. As soon as they were inside, every pony jumped out of hiding and shouted: "SURPRISE!" Screwball gasped at the decorated room before her. Her three girl best friends, her aunts, her mother, as well as Spike and her three favorite fillies were there. On the wall was a banner reading: 'Congratulations!' "What is...?" "We threw you another baby shower!" Pinkie Pie squealed. "But she showered this morning," Mothball said confusingly. The mares laughed. "A baby shower is a party for expecting mothers," Twilight explained. "Her female friends organize it and bring gifts for the new baby." Tears filled Screwball's eyes. "Girls, this is wonderful! Thank you so much!" "Don't thank us yet!" Pinkie insisted. "You haven't opened your presents yet!" She led her friend to the stack of presents and handed her one wrapped in pink. "Open mine first!" Dinky cried. Screwball was about to sit down when Discord summoned a comfortable armchair beneath her. Pinkie placed the gift in her lap and Screwball began unwrapping it. She opened the box to reveal a yellow and orange hat with a green propeller. She took it out and looked at it questioningly. "I saw it in the hat shop the other day and thought it would look cutesy wootsy on your baby!" Dinky said excitedly. Discord twirled the propeller. "It is kind of cute." "Thanks Dinks," Screwball smiled. "I'm sure our child will love it." "Now for my gift," Apple Blossom said, handing her a box in purple wrapping. Inside was a Cherry Blossom perfume. "I didn't know whether it was going to be a boy or a girl," the Earth pony explained, "so I made one for both! Well, I hope it's going to be pony shaped." She darted her eyes at Mothball. "What?" the draconequus shrugged. "When the baby arrives, I can make a whole new set with proper measurements." "It's perfect, Blossom!'' Screwball said. She opened Twilight's present next: an illustrated book on fairytales to read to the child. Then Lightning Dash gave her a rainbow colored rattle, which she explained had been hers as a foal. "But don't you want to keep this for your baby?" Screwball inquired. They had received the news last week that Lightning was expecting as well. "Discord didn't tell you? I'm having triplets! I can't have them fighting over one rattle." "Wait!" the Tri- pies cried. "You're having three foals?! Which one's going to be our godchild?" Lightning laughed. "We'll figure that out later." Next was Applejack's present: A pony ballerina music box. "It was mine," she explained, "and Apple Bloom's. I figured you should have it." "Ooh!" The tri pies cried. "Can we go next?" Her wish was granted and the fillies gave her a small quilt. It was checkered in Black and pink. Each yellow square was decorated with a screw and a baseball matching Screwball's cutie mark and each black square had a blue and white spiral in the center. "I made it myself!" Rasberry said proudly. "I incorporated both the parents' personalities into it, so that your baby may always be reminded how special she is!" " Girls," Screwball uttered, "this is beautiful!" She slid out of her seat and gave the fillies a hug. The dragon then stepped forth with his gift. "I had to ask Twilight's permission for this first," he said. In the box was an old stuffed orange dragon. "This is Sir Cheezeball," Spike explained. "Twilight gave him to me after she took me home, but I've kind of grown out of it. I'm sure Screwball Junior will like it!" "I have a toy for the baby too!" Scootaloo announced. She brought out a tiny red scooter with a yellow bow on it. "This was my first scooter, but I've gotten too big for it now." "And I have a record of my favorite lullabies!" Sweetie Belle said, holding up said record. "Oh, I have one too!'' Fluttershy declared, Giving Screwball the smallest one. ''This was meant for Tennis Ball actually.'' It was a locket. Screwball opened it with her magic. Inside, with a picture of her and Tennis Ball and her, it has music, a mixture of Hush Now and Daddy Discord. ''Mom,'' Screwball uttered. ''It's beautiful!'' "We're not done," Applejack declared. "We all pitched in on this one." Pinkie Pie bounced upstairs, followed by the cowgirl. The returned with a wooden crib painted blue and decorated with pink roses on the side. The cushion was feathered and the laced pillow was made of silk. Screwball was about to cry. "You are all such wonderful friends and I know our baby is going to have the best aunts, and uncle, in the world!" They all moved into a group hug when suddenly, Screwball felt a sharp pain in her belly. She let out a cry and clutched her stomach. Her friends backed away as Mothball flew to her side. "Honey, what's wrong?!" he pleaded. "The baby," she wheezed. "I think it's coming!" "Now?! But it's too early!" "Tell that to the baby!" "But it's only been nine months!" Dinky exclaimed. "Doesn't matter," Twilight said. "We need to get her to the hospital." Discord did not waste a second to teleport them out of there, leaving the ponies and dragon alone. "Guess we're walking," Spike said with a shrug. ❊ ❊ ❊ The hospital staff was caught by surprise when Discord came barging into the emergency room, pushing Screwball on a stretcher. "My daughter's baby's coming, the baby's coming!" he screamed frantically. "What?" Dr. Stable uttered. "The baby's not due for another two months!" "Well, it's impatient! It is my next grandkid, after all!" The doctor was still skeptical, but it was clear that something was wrong with the mother and led the couple to the maternity ward. Screwball's entered another room. "I'll need to get an x-ray..." Dr. Stable said. Discord summoned up the device and hung it over his daughter's stomach. The doctor examined it with wide eyes. "It's impossible, but the baby looks like it's ready to come out." "Then what are you waiting for?" the draconequus demanded. "You're the doctor! Help my daughter!" Dr. Stable called for Nurses Sweetheart and Coldheart. They put on their scrubs and masks and got the patient into position. Discord had summoned up a mask as well and tightly held his daughter's hoof. "It's okay, honey!" he assured her. "I've got you!" "Just breathe, ma'am," Nurse Coldheart said. "You're doing great." "Oh, I see it!" Nurse Sweetheart declared. "Keep pushing!" Screwball let out a cry that could be heard all the way from Canterlot. ❊ ❊ ❊ The six ponies, three fillies and dragon paced around the waiting room. They stiffened when they heard Screwball's scream. "What are they doing to her?!" The tri pies squealed. "If it hurts that much for one baby," Lightning Dash clutched her stomach, "I can't imagine what it's going to be like for me!" "I'm sure she's fine," Twilight said calmly. When Dr. Stable entered the room, the alicorn jumped out of her seat. "Is she still alive?!" she asked frantically. The doctor laughed. "Screwball has successfully given birth to a healthy baby girl and is going to be fine." Every pony gasped. "Another girl?" Pinkie repeated. "This is fantastic!" "Wait," Rarity said. "What does it look like?" ❊ ❊ ❊ Screwball gazed down lovingly at the foal as she cradled it in her hooves. "Isn't she beautiful?" Discord scratched his head. "She... looks more like her dad." The infant was a changling with a purple fur coat and a green and white poofy hair. "Isn't that what you wanted?" Screwball asked. "You said you didn't want our child to be judged by her looks like you were." "Yeah, but...how do I know it's my grand baby?" The earth pony was appalled. "Dad!" The baby's eyes then fluttered open, revealing them to have green spirals for pupils. "I'd say it's yours," Screwball said, cuddling her daughter. "Welcome to the world, little one. If only you could meet your sister.'' ''Yeah... If only...'' Discord sighed, thinking about his FIRST granddaughter. He trailed off as the baby started crying. She looked sympathetically at the foal. "Aw, I think she's hungry." She gasped as a bottle of chocolate milk appeared between them. The baby giggled in delight as it floated down to her. She took it in her hooves and sucked contently on the nipple. "Dad, she shouldn't be drinking that stuff," Screwball said, trying to tug the bottle away, only for the foal to get a tight grip on it. "I didn't give her that," the draconequus said, holding out his hands. "I swear." "Then...how?" She glanced down at the baby as the bottle slowly disappeared from her hooves. She then threw the chocolate milk away, creating a small explosion. A wide smile spread across Discord's face. He bent down and tickled the infant. "Cootchie-cootchie-coo!" The baby let out a laugh as she attempted to squirm away from the delightful torture. "Aw, look at her! Isn't she just an adorable little Fluffball?'' ?" His face lit up. "That's it! We'll call her Fluffball!'' Screwball looked at her father in confusion. ''She's not THAT Fluffy, dad.'' "Need I remind you of your name?" "Point taken." She smiled at the laughing foal. "Fluffball, it is." ❊ ❊ ❊ "Which one is it?!" Pinkie demanded, eagerly pressing her face against the window of the nursery. "The one in the middle," Nurse Sweetheart said, pointing. The ponies turned their attention to the purple foal sucking on her hoof. "It's..." Rainbow speculated, "...mostly like her dad." It then opened its swirly eyes. "Never mind." Every pony jumped as Discord appeared behind them. "I know, isn't she precious? We named her Fluffball!" "How lovely," Rarity grumbled. "Aw, she's so cute!" Pinkie squeaked. Fluffball stared at the ponies watching her. she then looked at her grandfather. what was that thing? She then made a bottle appear before her and started sucking on it as she thought. The ponies saw this and gasped. "Did I mention that she has my powers?" Discord said in awe. "Oh, she's going to be such a troublemaker one day!" He clasped his hands together. "She's gonna make her grandaddy proud!" "Another baby with Discord's powers?" Spike uttered. "Oh boy," Twilight mumbled. //-------------------------------------------------------// Different //-------------------------------------------------------// Different There was no doubt about it. Fluffball proved to be a difficult baby. Tennis Ball was easier, despite her magical surges and eagerness to fly. The second daughter of pure chaos had that and more. While her magic satisfied her hunger, a task that the parents were relieved of, the infant did not fully understand the capability of her powers. A single thought from her simple mind would cause something extraordinary to happen. One day, Fluttershy had the misfortune to come into the nursery and find her child gnawing on the bars of her crib, which had been turned to licorice. Mothball would never forget the night he made the most shocking discovery. A month after bringing their filly home, the couple woke in the middle of the night hearing her wails. "Your turn," Mothball said wearily. With a groan, Screwball teleported to the nursery and gasped when he saw the crib empty. "Fluffy?!" she called desperately, using his nickname for her. "Fluffy, where...?" She heard a sinister laugh and looked up to see Fluffball floating (floating!) above her head. ''What?!'' Screwball shrieked. ''But your wings aren't fully developed yet! usually it takes a year or so, but that doesn't matter right now!'' She never guessed this would happen. She jumped up and swung her hooves at her, oh, but she was as stubborn as her mother and easily dodged her. "Get down here, young lady!" she demanded. Then she jumped so high that her head crashed into the ceiling, her hat leaving her stuck. Fluffball snickered, but gasped when she saw the angry look on her mother's face. She took that as her cue to flee. "Oh, so that's how you want to play it, huh? Come back here!" shee flew furiously as she chased her around the room. For an infant, she was quite fast and sneaky. She flew beneath the crib and she collided into its side, thanks to her hat, once again. she chose to go around and finally got a grip on her with his magic. "Gotcha, you little scamper!" Screwball shouted triumphantly. The filly tried to struggle out of his grasp, but her mother's magic were too strong. At last, she gave up with a pout. she laughed as he stood and held her up. "Now to get you back to bed so your Daddy and Mommy can get some sleep," she cooed. Then she took a sniff of the air and cringed. Fluffball snickered again. "But first, some pony needs a change." She sighed. "Ugh, I hate this part!" in a flash the filly's dirty diaper disappeared, a clean diaper replacing it. "Who knew raising a foal would be so much work?" she grunted as she set her down into her crib. She crossed her hooves and glared at her with her spiral eyes. She began to wonder if she had inherited her grandmother's Stare. "Don't give me that look, little missy!" she ordered, pointing her hoof at her. "You may have chaotic power at your disposal, but I'm the princess of Chaos! I make the rules around here, got it? Playtime is over! Now get to sleep before I make you sleep!" The filly suddenly broke into tears, causing Screwball to freeze. That had been louder than she had intended. "Please, please don't cry!" She opened her mouth and wailed at full volume. It was not that she hated his daughter or vice versa, but when it came to her crying, she was helpless. She had the ability to calm down any living creature like Screwball. So far, she had been the only one to handle situations like this. "Please!" she begged. "You'll wake your father!" She had to get her to quiet down and go to sleep. She had tried a sleep spell on her ages ago, but the filly had developed a resistance to most of her magic, she had discovered. A trait she had received from her father, no doubt. She considered fetching her husband to take over from here, but she did not want to rouse him from bed. he had been working harder than ever this past month, taking care of the baby along with their pets. Screwball decided he at least had to try to calm her daughter down. First, she considered what was making her cry. She had already changed her diaper and she clearly was not hungry, because she could handle that herself. She considered getting a laugh instead of a cry. "Hey, Fluffy!" he exclaimed. "Watch this!" In a flash, she was on top a unicycle juggling a pie, a boot and an anvil. Fluffball stopped crying and watched this act with curiosity. The objects then slipped out of her mother's hooves and landed on his head: first the boot, then the pie, then the anvil. "Ta-da!" She blinked for a moment and then cried again. "Sheesh," she muttered. "Tough crowd." She knelt to her bedside. "For goodness sake, what do you want from me, kid?!" Her outburst did not make it any better. She slapped herself in the face. What would Mothball do in this predicament? In the time that she had known him, she still had trouble being gentle with other creatures. She thought the problem was that others were too absorbed with her appearance to give her a chance, but then she realized that the problem might be her not giving them a chance, or rather kindness a chance. Maybe she should give it a chance now. He thought about what Mothball would use to calm the baby down and then a literal lightbulb appeared over her head. "A lullaby! Is that what you want?" The filly seemed to understand her for she stopped wailing for a bit and held out her hooves with a whimper, indicating that she wanted her to hold her as well. She carefully scooped her in his hooves. She was so tiny and soft. She would not be surprised if she grew up to be as beautiful as her. Thank the heavens she had inherited that part of her. She cradled her gently and attempted to sing the lullaby Fluttershy would always use: "Hush now, quiet now It's time to lay your sleepy head. Hush now, quiet now It's time to go to bed..." She trailed off as she began crying again. She rolled her eyes. "Everyone's a critic." Unfortunately, she was not as gifted in singing as her husband was, mostly because she had not had much practice. Besides, the song was not in her key. Maybe she should try another song, but she did not know that many. Then an idea came to her. She remembered that song she made to get Tennis Ball to sleep a long time ago. Maybe if she sang her that song, SHE would go to sleep. She sang softly and sweetly: "Please do not cry, my dear Your Moma is so very here..." She paused a moment to listen to the haunting tune. Screwball glanced down and saw that her cheesy song was working, so he continued: "And if any pony Causes you any harm or fear..." She thought about what she would do if anything happened to her daughter. "Then I will bring them pain And drown them all in chocolate rain 'Cause I...am your Mother, Screwball And you...are a piece of me." The filly giggled in delight, clearly enjoying the song. She clapped her tiny hooves for more. Screwball smiled down at her. "Life here, is not a game, It's full of endless Joy and Pain, But we'll get through it all, As long as you, Oh, call my name, You are, my precious gem, And I can't ever replace you again, 'Cause you...are my daughter, Fluffball And you're...gonna sleep right now." The lullaby took its effect as Fluffball let out a yawn and closed her eyes. She gazed in awe as she innocently sucked her hoof. She would have given her a pacifier, but she knew it was useless, considering she had eaten the last three. So she laid her in her crib, careful not to wake her. She picked up her stuffed dragon Sir Fangs-a-lot and slid it under her free foreleg. She then gently tugged the quilt Apple Bloom had made over her small body. Smiling, she leaned forward and lightly kissed the filly on the forehead. Perhaps she was not such a bad Mother after all. When she teleported back into bed, she announced to her husband, "Our baby can fly." Mothball sighed, still half asleep. "Of course, she can." ❊ ❊ ❊ Despite the complications, Mothball and Screwball loved their newborn filly. She had a contagious laugh that was a combination of joy and sneakiness, much like her mother's. Her powers, while making her difficult to deal with, were actually quite entertaining. Once she had learned to teleport, she and Screwball took the game of peek-a-boo to new heights. She would often get restless, but Screwball was able to calm her down with her tenderness. When that did not work, she would use the Stare on her. Mothball was grateful that the filly had not inherited her grandfather's immunity. The biggest issue was finding a babysitter. While Pinkie was the most eager, not even she could handle the filly's unpredictability. Rainbow Dash had to rest up for her delivery, Twilight was too busy on her studies and Rarity was too occupied with her store. Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo had tried, but not even three normal ponies could control this powerful, ecstatic infant. Dinky proved to be the best babysitter, with the assistance of Cinnamon Roll. As she had to raise Pumpkin seed Doo from infancy, she had the most experience, though her son could not do magic. Even though it was a pain searching for her whenever she disappeared, she would not lose her patience and actually found ways to calm the filly down. The unicorn considered her quite adorable. She had reminded her of Pumpkin. "I wish we had Another one," she had once said while cradling her. She had forgotten that Cinnamon Roll had been standing right next to her. "What?" Screwball was excited about her daughter's powers, not realizing how unusual it was for a filly like her, and she got the most excited whenever Pumpkin seed was over. As Dinky had promised, she and Screwball would bring their daughter and Son together for play dates. Fluffball so adored her little playmate and was fascinated with his funny yellow eyes. She would stare at them for ages and wonder what the earth pony was looking at with one eye or the other. She would amuse her playmate with her powers, making their toys levitate and circle in the air. Pumpkin would clap his hooves in pleasure. The only magical surges the unicorn had had were when his pacifier, the same one Screwball had given his when they met in the hospital, was out of reach. When Apple Blossom's twins arrived, Fluffball was given two additional playmates. They were fraternal twins, a boy named Apple Thunder and a girl named Zapple Bloom. They both had their Mother's green coats and their father's violet eyes. Apple Thunder's mane had a dark purple, light orange and light blue streak while Zapple Bloom had the same but with a lighter purple. Fluffball took an immediate interest in their wings, finding them similar, yet smaller, to their father's. The two could fly before they could walk. Fluffball was a little over a year old when she had discovered this and was just learning to walk on four legs herself. She was able to fly at their age too, but she noticed that her wings were not like theirs. She also realized that their eyes looked in the same direction, but she already knew that Pumpkin's eyes were unique. Some point at this age, she met a pony she had never seen before and jumped back at the sight of her. Her short curly mane was green with streaks of white, her coat was a light purple, but it was her eyes that interested Fluffball the most. They were different. They were nothing like Pumpkin's. She seemed to have no blackness in her eye, only a green swirl. Fluffball reached out to touch the filly and at the same time, the filly reached out to touch her. Their hooves met and Fluffball flinched at the smooth texture she was feeling. It was not a hoof, it was glass. Her parents had already observed that Fluffball seemed quite intelligent and understanding for a foal her age and it did not take long for her to conclude that the strange filly was indeed her. That was when she knew. Screwball found her daughter sitting in front of the full-length mirror and flew down to her. "So there you are," she said, reaching her hooves out to her. "I've been looking..." "Differ," Fluffball uttered. Her mother blinked in surprise. She had gurgled a few words before, her first one being 'Grandpa,' much to Discord's pleasure, but this was new. "What did you say?" The foal pointed to the mirror. "Differ." Her hoof then tapped at the reflection of her eyes. ❊ ❊ ❊ As Fluffball grew older and developed better speech, she began noticing other things that were different about her. Her diet was the first indicator. Her friends always stared at her when she drank her sip cup instead of the milk inside it. Her playmates, their mothers did not do the things she did. Objects did not appear out of nowhere on their command, nor did they just come to them from afar. It happened to Fluffball, but not as much. She noticed her mother did the same things as her frequently, even more often. Ah yes, her granddad. She was only starting to realize how different he was from the other ponies: his size, his shape, his appearance, his behavior. She only saw the contrast whenever her mother or one of the other ponies was next to him. When she was four, she finally approached her grandparents about this. It was after they read her a bedtime story that she asked. "Grandmommy, Grandaddy?" "Yes, dear?" her grandmother responded softly. "Why am I different?" Discord and Fluttershy paused, their smiles disappearing as they shared a look. "You're not different, honey," her grandfather insisted. "You're just...unique." "Like your friend Pumpkin," Fluttershy added. "He don't do magic," Fluffball said. "Not like mine. Twins have no magic. None. Why me? Why my eyes different?" Her grandmother glanced to the side. "Sweetie..." The filly pointed to Discord. "Granddaddy very different." He winced. "Fluffy, I think you..." "Why?" The couple looked at each other again and sighed simultaneously. "Yes, my love," Fluttershy said. "You and Granddaddy are different. As you may have noticed, I am a pegasus, your grandfather is a draconequus." Fluffball tilted her head. "Like Uncle Spike?" Her grandmother laughed. "No, honey. A draconequus. They are wonderful, majestic creatures with incredible powers that can bend reality." Discord put his paw over his heart. "My dear, you flatter me! Yet your flattery is an understatement. I am the Spirit of Chaos and Disharmony! It is my duty to make the world less boring with my little...quirks. After all, what would this world be without chocolate rain?" Fluffball squealed and kicked her hooves happily in agreement. "Anyway," Fluttershy continued, "it is very unusual for two different creatures to marry, so when your grandfather and I fell in love, no pony really approved. We found a way through however and had you. You look like a pony, but you have your father's powers. There's never been such a pony born before." "What your grandmother's trying to say is," Discord interrupted, leaning forward to brush his granddaughter's hair, "you are special, because you are a product of two species, two creatures who love each other very much despite their differences." He smirked as he wrapped his tail around Fluttershy and pulled her closer. She was startled at first but then laughed and kissed him on the snout. "Your grandfather's right," she said to the filly. "Well, duh!" Discord huffed. "Of course I am!" She nudged him playfully in the ribs with her elbow. "Don't you worry about being different, honey. Your eyes, your powers are what make you special." The draconequus leaned forward. "And there's no pony more special than our little Screwball, FluffBall and Ten-!" The draconequus paused. He then switched his direction to Fluttershy, who gave him a warning glare. ''And Mothball!'' The filly smiled, assuring them that their words had helped. After her parents had kissed her goodnight and turned out the lights, Fluffball closed her eyes and sighed contently. Special. That's what she was. Special. //-------------------------------------------------------// First Day of school //-------------------------------------------------------// First Day of school Fluffball was five when she started school. There was some debate that morning on who would take her. Screwball worried that Discord would shock the young colts and fillies, but he saw it as his duty as Fluffball's grandfather to walk her to her first day of school. The earth pony finally gave in and allowed him to come. As they slowly approached the red building, Fluffball felt her stomach churn. "What if the ponies don't like me?" she asked her parents. "Of course they'll like you!" Discord replied, playfully twirling her hair. "Why wouldn't they? After all, who wouldn't like the most adorable filly in all of Equestria?" Silence fell over the schoolyard as the foals stopped their playing at the sight of the draconequus. Fluffball gestured to them. "Because I'm different?" "And that's what makes you so adorable!" her grandfather exclaimed, ruffling her mane. "Everything will be alright, honey," Screwball assured the filly. "Pumpkin will be there, So will The twins, and the triplets." After Thunder Dash and Apple Tart had tied the knot a couple of years ago, they had three Fillies, Named Winter, West East, And Lightning Stroke. Winter Looked exactly like Her aunt Prism, West East Had her mother's eyes and Mane, But her father's orange complexion, and Lightning Stroke had a purple and Pink Mane, with Light blue eyes and had a green complexion. "Your teacher is also Cheerilee," Screwball Continued. "You remember her: aunty Blossom's mother? Oh, and she will be in your class too." Apple Blossom was also around Screwball's age. She and Fluffball had not met that often, but she knew she was Aunt Applejack's real niece. She also remembered Cheerilee, a very nice mare who always smiled. The idea of her being her teacher made Fluffball feel a little better, plus all her friends were going to be in her class. "And don't worry if any pony makes fun of you," Discord added. "Just show them who's Boss and turn them into an orange!" "Dad!'' Screwball shouted with a glare. "That's no advice to give to my child!" She looked back at the filly. "If any pony cannot accept how special you are, that's their problem. As for your magic...don't get into any trouble and don't make any pony feel jealous..." "She deserves to show off her powers!" The earth pony shot him another warning glare before continuing. "Promise me you'll behave. Okay, honey?" Fluffball nodded. "I'll be good, Mommy." "Good." She kissed her on the forehead. "Now, have you got everything? Your lunch?" "Check." "Your notebook and pencils?" "Check." "Don't forget your apple for the teacher!" Discord exclaimed, snapping his fingers. An apple appeared in Fluffball's hoof. She gasped and then chuckled as a worm popped out of it. "Dad...'' Screwball warned. The draconequus laughed as he replaced the apple with a ripe worm-free one. "Just kidding, darling! Don't take everything so seriously!" "Fluffy!'' The family turned to see the wonky-eyed unicorn rushing towards them. Fluffball embraced her best friend happily. "Isn't this exciting?" Pumpkin bouncing up and down. "It's our first day of school! We're gonna have so much fun and make lots of new friends!" The unicorn grew even more excited as two pegasi and on earth pony walked up the road. "Hey, Screw!'' !" Thunder Dash greeted. "Looks like our kids are going to be in the same class." "Zapple! Apple!'' The twins landed with a thud as Pumpkin tackled them both. Lightning Dash Chuckled as she appeared behind them. Three fillies bolted past her. ''Hey, Fluff!'' Winter greeted. ''So good to see ya!'' West East continued. ''We've Been flyin' for hours!'' Lightning Stroke tiredly said. West East Blushed at the sight of Pumpkin. Pumpkin shared the same blush as he caught sight of her. ''hey Pump.'' Was all she could say. ''H-hi... West...'' He blunted out. Screwball, Dinky and Lightning Dash shared a knowing look. Every pony looked up as the school bell rang and Cheerilee emerged from the building. "Alright, kids! Come inside!" Screwball gave her daughter a light shove. "Go on! We'll come and pick you up at three." After receiving another kiss, Fluffball joined her friends as they raced up the steps. She stopped at the door. "Oh, Ms Cheerilee!" she exclaimed, handing her the apple. "This is for you!" "Why thank you, Fluffball," Cheerilee said with a smile. Once the children were inside, Screwball approached the teacher with concern in her eyes. "Um, I should let you know that Fluffball sort of...takes after me in...'' Cheerilee held up her hoof. "I'm fully aware of Fluffball's...talents." "Oh, well...sometimes she can't control herself and...if she causes you any trouble..." "You just let me worry about it." "She's also a little sensitive about her eyes..." "She'll be treated like any other pupil, I guarantee. Don't fret, Screwball. She's in good hooves." Screwball smiled at the teacher as she closed the door, but she was still unsure. Discord scooped her up in his arms. ''She's going to be fine.'' Discord reassured her. ''She reminds me of Tennis Ball...'' ''Ah, don't worry, Screwy. Things will be different, I promise.'' Discord tried reassuring his daughter. ''the only thing that worries me...'' Screwball turned to her father. ''Is how Tennis should know how much I really miss her...'' Cheerilee attempted to get her new students to settle down. "Alright, class! I know you're excited and all. You'll find your name on your new desk." The schoolhouse had twelve desks in total. Fluffball found hers in the third seat of the second row. She was thrilled to see that Pumpkin got the seat next to her. Zapple Bloom and Apple Thunder sat in the front row while The Triplets got the back left corner. Fluffball felt more comfortable being surrounded by her friends. "Well, welcome to the new school year, my little ponies!" Cheerilee announced. "I'm your teacher, Ms Cheerilee. We're going to spend this morning getting to know one another. Everyone turn to the pony next to you and introduce yourselves." When Zapple Bloom turned to her right, she met the blue eyes of an earth pony she had not met before. he had a Green coat, a few freckles on his cheeks and an orange mane . They sat there motionless for a second before Zapple spoke: "Hi.'' "Hey," the foal muttered in return. She held out her hoof. "My name's Zapple Bloom.'' Without breaking eye contact, he accepted her hoof. '' Water Vapor.'' "Oh! You're Vapor Trail's adopted son, right?'' He nodded slowly. "And Rainbow Dash is your grandma?'' "Uh-huh." They did nothing but stare at each other for a long while. Fluffball's desk partner on her right was a white unicorn with red, white and blue striped hair. She flinched at the sight of the earth pony's eyes. Fluffball eagerly extended her hoof. "Hi! I'm Fluffball!'' The unicorn hesitantly shook her hoof. "Minty Breeze.'' "Isn't this all exciting?" "Uh...yeah. Hey, are you...?" Cheerilee tapped her ruler on her desk to get every pony's attention. "Alright, now we're each going to introduce ourselves to the class. State your name and please share something interesting about yourself. I will go first as an example." She cleared her throat. "My name is Cheerilee, I am happily married and currently teaching a wonderful class!" Fluffball ball tried to pay close attention to the others as they introduced themselves, but the only ones she really listened to were her friends. "I'm Winter!'' "I'm West East!'' ''And I'm Lightning Stroke!'' "And we're going to be Wonderbolts!" "Just like our parents!" The triplet's did a hoof bump before Water Vapor spoke: "My name is Water Vapor. My mom used to be in the Wonderbolts...'' Zapple Bloom blushed as she heard his voice. Then she shook her head as she was poked repeatedly by her brother. ''Huh? Oh! My name's Zapple Bloom! I like apples!'' Pumpkin Seed Doo was very excited for his introduction: "I'm Pumpkin Seed Doo and like everything made out of pumpkins!'' Fluffball giggled slightly and then realized it was her turn. "I'm Fluffball and my Mom's the Princess of Chaos!'' The room became so quiet you could hear a pin drop. Fluffball shrank at the thought that maybe she had gloated, despite what her mother had told her. She had not meant to brag, but the teacher had asked for something interesting, and well, that was the most interesting thing about her. She could not understand why every pony was so shocked. Based on how the twins were looking at her, she had the feeling that what she said was wrong. Why? It was not like they did not know. It was not like she had grown a second head. "Did I say something wrong?" she asked the teacher. Cheerilee shook her head. "No, Fluffball, you said nothing wrong. Let's continue." "I'm Minty breeze.'' the unicorn beside her said, rather shakily, "and my mom's a dentist." Fluffball did not hear the rest of the introductions, or pay attention as Cheerilee began the lesson. She was too busy listening to the whispers of the two colts behind her. "She's the one my sister told me about! Her granddaddy's supposed to be a big scary monster!" "Yeah! I think I saw him this morning!" "My sister tells me she's as much a freak as he is!" "Yeah!'' "And what's up with her eyes? Is she blind or something?" Her head wrenched around her neck as she faced the colt and filly. "I'm not blind!" "Fluffball!'' She faced Cheerilee, realizing that she had said that out loud. "What's going on?" the teacher asked crossly. "Are you paying attention?" "Sorry, Ms Cheerilee," she pleaded. "But...they're saying mean things about me." "Tattle tale," whispered the boy behind her. "Is this true, Sapphire Gold?'' The mare with red fur and blonde hair shook her head. "No, Ms Cheerilee. We were just talking about her eyes." The teacher squinted at her. "Your sister was a pupil of mine, so I expect you to be familiar with the rules of this class. Every pony, let it be known that from now on, there will be no talking during the lesson!" Fluffball glanced over at Water Vapor and tried to copy his pose by sitting upright and folding her hooves on her desk. She could not get in trouble on the first day of school. Mom would get upset. She flinched as she felt a prick on the back of her neck. She glanced around and shrugged it off, assuming it to be a fly. Then she felt it again. It did not hurt really, but she found it quite annoying. Then something hopped onto her desk: a rubber band. She looked at the red mare out of the corner of her eye. She and her friend were snickering with pleasure. She thought of what her grandfather had said numerous times that morning: If any pony makes fun of you, show them who's Boss. She did not want to disappoint her mother, but these bullies needed to be taught a lesson. She had to be subtle in her revenge, for Cheerilee knew about her powers. Fluffball glanced at the rubber band that had missed and remembered Aunt Pinkie showing her something called a Cat's Cradle. She smiled deviously as she made a rubber band appear between Sapphire Gold legs and copied the trick. When she was successful, she tried it on the colt. Then the bell rang for recess and the two boys tripped out of their seats. "What the...?" Sapphire Gold uttered, looking at her tied legs Zapple Bloom and Apple Thunder gawked at the sight and gave Fluffball a questioning glance. She nodded with a devilish grin. "Nice," Apple Thunder muttered, giving her a hoof bump. "Let's get out of here before the teacher notices," Zapple Bloom whispered. The fillies agreed and rushed toward the playground. For the first five minutes of recess, Fluffball and Pumpkin spun a rope while the twins and triplets competed over who could jump the longest. "Nine, ten..." Pumpkin counted. "Uh...what comes after ten?" "Eleven," Fluffball continued. "Twelve, thirteen...hey, guys! Watch this!" She let go of the rope, but it kept spinning as if some pony was still holding that end. Pumpkin gasped and released his end as well. "Awesome!" the twins exclaimed. "We have the coolest friend ever!" Winter declared "And the sneakiest!" Lightning Stroke and West East added. ''N-No it's Just...'' A voice stammered. Fluffball looked up, and turned to her right. There, she saw a grey alicorn with dark blue and green hair, with violet eyes, with those two bullies, Sapphire Gold and... Bumble? Was it? Whoever he was he was up to no good with his bad best friend. ''It's ok, Bumble, we don't need an excuse for a princess as our friend.'' Fluffball's eyes widened and her irises shrank and her eye twitched. Did she just say friend? ''Besides, we all know she has a problem with her magic.'' ''Oh, THAT. IS. IT.'' Fluffball muttered that only her friends could hear. Winter and West East appeared by her side, West East pounding her hooves together and Winter snapping her head side to side. The twins also appeared but her side, Both crossing their arms. Pumpkin trotted next to Zapple Bloom with a determined look on his face. last came Lightning Stroke, hovering over Fluffball. Fluffball teleported the seven friends to the trio and boomed: ''LEAVE HER ALONE!!'' Fluffball screeched. The alicorn Sapphire and Bumble turned to them with a shocked expression. ''Why don't you pick on somepony your own size!'' Winter boomed. ''You mess with her, You mess with us!'' Lightning Stroke yelled. ''Let the kid get her own friends!'' West East shouted. ''Nothing's always gonna go your way!'' Pumpkin screamed. ''So let the kid have her own fun!'' Zapple Bloom and Apple Thunder yelled. ''Why are you so mean to somepony you just met?'' Fluffball demanded. Sapphire Gold and Bumble rolled their eyes as they backed away from the grey alicorn filly. ''What makes you think you could talk to us like that?'' Bumble huffed. ''You better know your place, freaks!'' ''Let's go Bumble. I don't wanna be around these ponies no more.'' Sapphire shot a warning glare towards The young alicorn. ''Don't think we're done with you yet, Magic Screw up!'' The bullies walked away with their noses high in the air. Fluffball held a hoof to the crying filly. ''Hey, are you ok?'' Fluffball asked in concern. Rubbing her eye, The grey alicorn accepted her hoof and Fluffball helped her up. ''yeah... I think so....'' she replied. ''Thanks...'' ''Don't mention it!'' Fluffball smiled warmly. ''Those two can be real bullies.'' ''Well let me introduce myself.'' Pumpkin said. ''My name is Pumpkin Seed Doo, and this is Zapple Bloom, Apple Thunder, Winter, West East, Lightning Stroke, and Fluffball. ''It's nice to meet you guys!'' The grey alicorn said with a curtsy. ''My name is Princess Light Shine Breeze.'' ''Wow!'' Fluffball lit up. ''We're BOTH princesses!'' ''Really?'' Light Breeze raised an eyebrow in confusion. ''But you're not an alicorn.'' ''NOPE! I'm the princess of chaos! Daughter of Screwball and Mothball and granddaughter of Discord!'' ''Discord?!'' Light Breeze placed a hoof on her mouth in embarrassment, blushing as she did. ''Oh sorry, I didn't mean to say it like that.'' ''It's no worries.'' Fluffball reassured. Light Breeze looked between Zapple Bloom and Apple Thunder. ''So i'm guessing you're twins?'' ''Yup!'' Apple thunder said. ''AND WE'RE TRIPLETS!'' West East, Winter, and Lightning Stroke said in a chorus. ''I wish I had wings though...'' Zapple Bloom sighed. ''But I told you sis, once i'm able to carry you, i'll take you flying.'' ''Who want's to go play in he jungle gym?'' Pumpkin suggested. ''I would play with you....'' West East muttered, blushing a light pink. ''What?'' Pumpkin said as he turned back to his friend. West East blushed and her eyes widened. ''N-Nothing!'' Fluffball turned to Winter and Lightning Stroke with a knowing look. ''Looks like your sister has a crush.'' ''We see that, Fluffy.'' Lightning Stroke rolled her eyes. Everypony but light breeze ran towards the gym. Light Breeze watching. Everypony turned to her. ''Well, ya comin' or what?'' Zapple Bloom asked. ''You want me to?'' Light Breeze's eyes twinkled. ''Of course! You're our new friend now, and friends stick together!'' Fluffball beamed. Light Breeze beamed as she joined her new best friends. ''So, Fluffy, how was your day at school?'' Mothball asked after Fluffball and Screwball arrived home. ''It was awesome, Daddy!'' Fluffball exclaimed. ''I made a new friend today!'' ''Oh you did?'' Screwball beamed. ''Who is it?'' ''Her name's Light Breeze and she's the daughter of Princess Celestia and King Sombra!" Mothball's face lit up. ''really! you're so lucky honey!'' ''Yeah!'' Screwball smiled. ''Your father and I were expecting to make a new friend today, but we didn't expect you to make another princess for a friend!'' Fluffball beamed. Her father and mother were very supportive of her everyday actions. And they always seemed to make her smile, even though it wasn't necessary. She was even allowed to go wherever she wanted except the room next to hers. Her mother specifically told her not to go there, and everytime she did, her tone sounded desperate. she wondered why. Why was that room so important? But other than that her family was happy. small, But happy. ''So... did you find your special somepony yet?'' Screwball asked with a cocky smile. Fluffball spat out her cup of tea and stared at her mother. ''Mom!'' ''Just Kidding!'' Screwball laughed. Mothball snickered. Fluffball rolled her eyes. Then soon after, they all laughed. Author's Note My Ocs for Lightning Dash's daughters are Winter, West East and Lightning Stroke, Hey, Someone had to do it! And also i've noticed Pumpkin hasn't had a love interest yet. so like i said: Someone had to do it! And yes, Minty Breeze also belongs to me. Aquafresh might not have Lightning, but at least she has her daughter. Do not ask about Water Vapor, You know the answer already (look at the first - last line.) //-------------------------------------------------------// Fluffball Snaps //-------------------------------------------------------// Fluffball Snaps As the years went by, Screwball and Mothball noticed that their daughter possessed talents other than chaos. Like her mother, she had the ability to communicate with the animals and had a decent singing voice. They discovered another gift of hers one evening. "Mom? Dad?" "Yes, dear?" Screwball replied. "Where do babies come from?" Her parents both dropped their forks. Screwball nearly choked on her cotton candy. "W-w-why do you ask, dear?" her father stammered. "Since Pumpkin is having a baby sister, I want to know." The couple looked at each other nervously. "Well, sweetie," Mothball said, rubbing the back of his neck. "Babies come from...um..." "The stork!" Screwball intervened "Yea—what?" "The stork left you on our doorstep!" "Yeah! The stork!" Fluffball blinked at them. "No, he didn't." "Of course, he did!" Mothball insisted. She narrowed her eyes. "You're lying to me." "No, I'm not!" "Stop it, Daddy!" "Hold on a second!" Screwball interrupted. "How do you know we're lying, sweetie?" She shrugged. "I just feel it." From then on, they knew not to lie in front of Fluffball ball, though her question was not answered until many years later. Sapphire Gold and her friend Bumble Crown continued to pick on her and her friends, but she kept herself composed, most of the time. There were a couple incidents involving wedgies (she gave them underpants first) and whoopee cushions, but she had not gone as far as the piano accident in a while. The laugh was on them when she was the first in her class to get her cutie mark. The Ponyville Zappers and the Baltimare Orioles were playing at Funway Park and Screwball begged her father to take her. Fluttershy could not join them because she was at the spa with her friends. Discord yawned during the first few innings, because they were filled with walks and strike outs and ponies barely even ran. Fluffball however, was enticed in the entire spectacle and bounced in her seat, cheering and waving a foam finger. It got boring for her by the sixth inning, as the ball had only been hit twice. Both pitchers were equally horrible. She glanced at her grandfather, who was on the verge of falling asleep. Her mother was not here and she knew she would get angry if she found out, but this game needed more excitement. The Orioles were up to bat now. Their team was leading fifteen to thirteen. The pitcher was looking very tired and nervous. There's no harm in helping him a little. As soon as the ball left the pitcher's hoof, the audience gasped as it moved in a corkscrew motion. When it hit the catcher's mitt, the umpire cried out: "Strike One!" "What?!" the batter protested. "No fair! It was a foul!" "It hit the mitt!" the catcher argued. Discord woke from his near slumber, his attention finally caught. "There was no way I could have hit that!" Shut up, Fluffball thought. With that, the batter's mouth was zipped closed. Fluffball gasped at her mistake and instantly made the zipper vanish, but her dad and most of the ponies had already seen it. Discord stared at his granddaughter in surprise. She slumped guiltily into her seat. "I...I...I..." "Why, Fluffball Screwball Draconequus!"he exclaimed, dramatically putting his paw over his heart. "I never thought my own daughter would stoop so low as to cheat!'' "I'm sorry, I..." "Amateurs cheat." He whispered in her ear. "The professionals sabotage." She looked at her grandfather in disbelief, seeing the mischievous grin on his face. Fluffball's lips curled to match his grin. As the pitcher wound up again, she put a silent curse on the ball. Before he could throw it, the ball leapt out of his hoof and circled in the air. "What the heck?!" he cried out. "See?" the batter pointed. "They've got a remote control ball!" Suddenly, the ball rocketed toward him and knocked him on the head. He landed on the ground with a thud. "Ooh," Fluffball cringed. "He's fine," Discord said, waving it off. He turned her head in the direction of the centerfield. "That mare over there has done nothing but file her hooves this whole game! I say we bring her attention to the field." The filly nodded and picked up the ball with her magic, sending it hurdling towards the centerfielder. "Rosey, watch out!'' The mare looked up and squealed. She stuck out her glove, but the ball was going so fast that it burnt a hole through the fingers. "Some pony get that ball!" the umpire commanded. The players scrambled for the stubborn object as it zigzagged across the field. Fluffball and Discord snickered in delight. "Now this is entertainment!" the draconequus applauded. Fluffball then had another idea. The umpire jumped as arms and legs sprouted from the bat and it began to run the bases. Discord laughed hysterically. "Genius, my dear!" he shouted, high-fiving her. "Absolute genius!" The filly watched in amusement as the players scattered from the field, screaming for the bat not to attack them. She had not realized how much fun it was to mess with ponies' minds! Deep down, she knew it was wrong, but she was enjoying every second of this! "Well, would you look at that?" her grandfather mused. "What?" Fluffball asked. He pointed to her rear and she glanced down to see that a picture of a cloud had appeared on her flank! Discord squeezed the filly tight. "Well done, my dear! Grandaddy's so proud of you!" Their excitement over her cutie mark died the next morning when Screwball angrily showed them the headlines of the newspaper: 'Fiasco at Funway Park!' "Care to explain this?" she demanded, folding her hooves. "Uh..." Discord stammered. "Did I mention Fluffy got her cutie mark?" At this moment, Fluffball was seven years old. Her mother and father had kept a close eye on her for her every movement, like they were expecting her to do something wrong. Most of her friends had received their cutie marks by now, except Pumpkin, who was as obsessed over it as his aunt Apple Bloom had been. Zapple Bloom had a zap apple while Apple Thunder had a bolt silhouette. Winter had a cloud with blue snowflakes on it. West East had a compass, and Lightning Stroke had a rain cloud. They had received it after busting some nasty storm clouds for their parents. Light Breeze had a sun for a cutie mark For raising the sun. They were in the schoolyard, making teams for a game of basketball. Unfortunately, Sapphire Gold and Bumble Crown were the captains. Their cutie marks were a ruby ring and a crown in the design of a bee, respectively. The twins were picked first, since they were the best athletes. Then the triplets, since they were the second best athletes. then it came down to Pumpkin, Fluffball and Light Breeze. "Let's see..." Sapphire thought, rubbing her chin. "Okay, I'll take the blank flank." Pumpkin groaned as he went to join his team. Bumble squinted his eyes and acted to choose carefully. ''Just choose already.'' Light said impatiently. ''I don't know. It's hard to choose.'' Bumble Crown replied. ''Either a Halfling or a magic screw up.'' Turning to Sapphire he mockingly asked, ''I'll be a gentle colt and let you pick first Sapphire.''' "Are you serious?" Sapphire Gold grunted. "If I pick Halfling, she'll just turn the ball into a butterfly and Magic screw up will make the ball disappear!" Light Breeze gritted her teeth. "My name is Light Breeze and my magic is fine! just a little unpredictable." ''And i'm not a halfling.'' Fluffball added. ''I'm half changeling.'' "That's even worse!'' Sapphire snickered. "Come on guys!'' Zapple shouted. "You're not being fair!" Apple agreed. "Why don't you let them play?" Pumpkin demanded. Bumble Crown tilted his head towards Fluffball. "Why doesn't she go back where she belongs? In the Everfree Forest with her dad!" Fluffball was about to say something when Sapphire added.'' No wonder Your Mom and Dad had to replace the other one. They just wanted their baby to look exactly like them!'' Fluffball gasped. What did she mean by that? Light Breeze's eyes turned red. ''YOU TAKE THAT BACK, YOU SNOBBY JERKS!!'' Fluffball placed a hoof on her friend shoulder. ''Come on, Breezy. I'm just as mad but fighting isn't the answer!'' Light glared at the bullies. Fluffball intervened before Light tried anything. ''Let's just go.'' Sapphire grabbed a trash can with her magic and dumped it on Fluffball. Fluffball gasped and looked down at her hooves. she shivered in shock. ''Ha Ha! not only is she part changeling, she's part garbage too!'' Sapphire laughed. Fluffball looked back up with an angry look on her face, lightning striking behind her. Some of the fillies looked up, screamed and scattered from the area. while her friends stared in shock. Sapphire and Bumble doing the same. "That's it!" She stood on her hind legs and clapped her front hooves together with a great boom, causing the ponies to fall silent as they looked up at her in alarm. "You want to take out the trash? Fine! Let's take out the trash!" Sapphire gold let out a shriek as gold light enveloped around her throwing her into a garbage can. The others backed away as she rose from the mucky debris. "Screwball, what are you doing?!'' Pumpkin exclaimed in horror. "What does it look like I'm doing?" Fluffball replied, sounding like a mad mare. "I'm cleaning The playground!" The mare screamed as she is dumped in more garbage. The insane filly then darted her eyes at Bumble Crown. Before he had a chance to escape, he was thrown into a garbage can as well and more garbage splattered onto him. ''My mane!'' He screeched. "Woo hoo!" Screwball cried, throwing her hooves into the air. "That's six points for me, zip for you!" Pumpkin raced inside the schoolhouse. "Fluffball, are you nuts?!" Light Breeze cried out. "Nuts?!" The crazy look in her eyes made the alicorn jump back. "I'm not nuts! I'm Fluffball, the Princess of Chaos! And you all made fun of me and hurt my friend! I shall have my revenge! Revenge!" As she let out a frightening laugh, the sky turned red and a bolt of lightning struck. Fluffball paused as she felt a hoof on her shoulder. She turned to see Cheerilee's furious face staring back at her. Fluffball sat hunched on the school steps. Even though the door was closed, she could hear the conversation clear as day. "That half-pony nearly killed my boy!" Gold Digger bellowed. "She didn't mean to harm any pony," Screwball insisted. "She's a menace! You should expel her at once!" "No!" Bumble's mother, Faith Carton screeched. "A child like that should be in an asylum!" "After all, what else can you do with one of Devil's grandchildren?!" Fluffball gasped. one of?! what was going on?! first Sapphire, Now her friend's mom? Fluffball gasped and heard a slap. "How dare you insult my child and my father?!" "Every pony, calm down!" Cheerilee shouted. "Calm down?!" Sapphire Gold's mother shrieked. "Look at my daughter! Look at his son! That half-thing must be punished!" "And what about your kids?" Celestia demanded. "They hurt my Light! Fluffball was defending her!" Fluffball winced as she tried to block their words out. "Freak!" "Devil child!" "Mad pony!" "Halfling!" "Monster!" "She doesn't belong!" A tear fell down her cheek. The sound of the door slamming open broke her out of her trance. She looked up to see Sapphire Gold, Bumble Crown and their parents send her death glares as they passed by. The boy and girl held ice packs to their heads. ''Take that, Mental Freak.'' Sapphire spat. Next came Light Breeze and Celestia but they were silent. Then her mother appeared. She was not happy. ''Come on, Fuzzy Bites, let's go.'' She simply said. Fluffball rose to her seat, and Screwball scooped her up. Before she left, she turned to Celestia. ''I will get through to her and make sure this NEVER happens again.'' ''I appreciate your efforts to have this resolved, Screwball.'' Celestia replied. Screwball nodded. ''Your majesty, have a good day.'' With that, she flew away with her daughter in her hooves. After several minutes Screwball finally spoke. "You're lucky she didn't expel you," she said calmly. Fluffball hung her head. "Honey, this is the sixth complaint I've received this month! I've let the other mishaps slide, but this…this is worse than the piano incident!" "I'm sorry," the filly sobbed. "I...I don't know what came over me, I...I didn't mean…" Screwball sighed and looked down at her daughter. "Look. It's noble that you were standing up for your friend, but you hurt those ponies just as they had hurt you and Light." "I wish I had done worse." "Fluffball!" "At least then it would have all stopped!" She sniffed. "They're right, Mommy. Maybe I am evil like they say. I…I don't wanna be evil!" She cried into her mother's chest. Screwball stroked her mane tenderly. "You're not evil, sweetie. You just made a bad decision." "What if I can't control myself next time? What if I...?" "You'll learn, honey. Maybe…you shouldn't use your powers anymore, at least not in school. Okay?" Her daughter glanced up. ''But Mommy...'' Screwball's eyes widened. The look Fluffball gave her was the same look somepony had given her a long time ago. But momma... that sentence... that voice... it had always haunted her mind since... since... ''Mommy?'' Screwball snapped out of it and looked back at her daughter. Then she huffed. ''We're teleporting!'' ''But mommy, we're almost ho-'' But before Fluffball could finish, they were inside the house, With mothball standing at the entrance. He noticed by the looks on Screwball's face that something was wrong. ''What did Fluffy do this time?'' He sighed. ''Dump bullies in garbage.'' Screwball replied. ''Fluffy, What did we tell you? Bullies can be mean but you have no right -'' ''To do it to them. I know...'' Fluffball said in shame. ''Exactly.'' Mothball said. ''Let's just. get in. the house.'' Screwball shivered. ''Woah.'' Fluffball backed away at her mother's tone. ''You ok, Screwy?'' Mothball asked his wife in concern. ''Just. Get inside.'' Screwball said simply. Before long, they were at the table, eating dinner as usual. Until Fluffball spoke. ''Mommy? Daddy?'' Screwball and Mothball placed their forks down and faced their daughter. ''Am I adopted?'' Mothball spat his food out with Screwball stared at her confusingly. ''WHAT?! NO, you're not adopted sweetie...'' ''Then why? Why did you ban me from that room? why did Sapphire and Bumble's mom mention me being ''Another one''? What's going on?'' Screwball looked at her in shock. and Mothball coughed. ''Fluffball, why don't you go to your room?'' ''But Mommy...'' ''Please?'' Screwball pleaded. Fluffball sighed and teleported to her room. But she wanted to find out what her parents were talking about. So help her, She WILL get to the bottom of this. She WILL unlock her parents' secret. //-------------------------------------------------------// Lost Sister //-------------------------------------------------------// Lost Sister Freak, monster, devil child, doesn't belong... The words echoed throughout Fluffball's nightmares. Go back to the Everfree Forest where you belong! "No," she murmured, tossing in her bed. No wonder Your Parents wanted to replace the other one! "No! NO!" Screwball was instantly at her bedside. "honey?" she gasped. "What's wrong?" The filly shrieked as her eyes popped open. She sighed in relief at the sight of her mother. "I'm okay, Mommy. I just had a bad dream." "Oh, I see." She sat upon her bed. "Care to talk about it?" "It was...those things they said about me today...they won't go away..." "Is that all?" she took her into her arms and patted her on the back. "There, there. What do I always say?" Fluffball scrunched her nose. "What fun is there in making sense?" "No, no, the other thing." "Never bring pie to a cake fight?" "No, no, no! I mean about name-calling!" "Oh. Sticks and stones may break my bones, but names will never hurt me." "Exactly! Well, technically the sticks and stones won't hurt you either after a healing spell, but you get the picture." She pulled away from her embrace and looked up at her desperately. "But Mom, what if they're right? I lost my mind today! I even scared my friends!" She waved her hoof as if it were a minor detail. "Every pony loses their mind once in a while. You should have seen your grandmother at her first Grand Galloping Gala!" She tapped her chin. "Actually, you can!" He snapped his fingers and an image appeared on the wall. Fluffball gasped at the sight of a slightly younger version of her grandmother in a torn ball gown, standing beside a huge net. "I'll catch you yet, my pretties!" she said creepily to the animals cowering in fear. "Oh, yes. As soon as one of you little birds, or monkeys, or bears touches this net, you'll be mine! MINE!" She then broke into maniacal laughter, lightning striking from nowhere. Fluffball did not know whether to be scared or amused. It was hard to believe that the mare she was watching was her sweet, nurturing grandmother. Screwball stifled a snicker. She poofed the image away. "Now you know not to get on your grandmother's bad side. The treatment I gave you and dad today was nothing." "Okay, so it's not as bad as I thought," Fluffball admitted. "It's worse! I'm crazy on both sides!" She groaned as she collapsed her head onto her pillow. "Fluffy, Fluffy, Fluffy" Screwball said, shaking her head. "Every pony's crazy! Some just show it better than others." "I being one of them," she mumbled, flipping onto her side. "It's nothing to be ashamed of, sweetie," her mother assured her, stroking her head. "You have something that other ponies do not: chaos!" "And where is that going to get me? Look at what it did to you!" Screwball was taken aback by this. Fluffball sat up and faced her. "I'm sorry, but..." She hugged her knees. "Sometimes I think I might go too crazy...that I might turn evil...that they'll have to turn me to stone!" "Oh, honey, don't say such a thing!" She tenderly wrapped her arms around her. "No pony's going to turn you to stone, or bring you any harm of any sorts, not while I'm here to protect you." She wiped her tears from her face. "Did I ever tell you of the time your grandpa snapped in front of your grandmother?" The filly shook her head with a sniff. "Well, it happened while he had your grandmother imprisoned. It was her birthday and he brought her friends over for a visit. In the midst of that...she told them she didn't love him. She didn't know he was listening and...well, it broke his heart as well as his sanity. I'll spare you the details, but let's just say his rampage involved turning Aunt Applejack into cereal and Twilight Sparkle's horn into a candy cane." Fluffball snickered at the thought. "It may sound funny to you, but if you had seen him at that time, you wouldn't have laughed." She sighed as he remembered that fateful day. "he had lost so much control that he ended up physically hurting your grandmother. he could no longer keep her, knowing what he did, knowing that she would never forgive him. So he let her go. "But you know something? She returned to me and we finally confessed our feelings for each other!" "So how does this apply to me?" Fluffball asked, growing slightly impatient. "Are you saying that no matter what I do, every pony's going to be okay with it?" "Not every pony, only the ones that matter. Tell me, Fluffy. After today's incident, did any pony forgive you?" She pondered. "My friends?" "Then they're the only ones that matter. For Grandpa, that was your grandmother and that is what saved hi, from losing complete control. Your powers are special, hun, but never lose sight of what is really important. Understand?" She did not understand completely, but she nodded anyway. "Good," her mother smiled. "Now let's get you back to bed, shall we?" Fluffball crawled back under the covers and smiled up at the earth pony as she tucked her in. "Would you sing me a lullaby, Mommy?" ''Sure, hun. Which one?'' Screwball asked. ''The one you usually sing. It's my favourite.'' Fluffball replied with a warm smile. She sighed and sang the lullaby he had written for her. This time, he added a new verse: "Remember that one time, Your rampage took to that baseball game, You got, your cutie mark. And things were never quite the same, Your wild pitches flew, Driving the ponies all insane 'Cause I...am your mommy, Screwball And you...are a piece of me." It was a subtle reminder of how special she was to her. "I love you, Mommy," Fluffball said when she was finished. She kissed her on the forehead. "I love you too, honey.'' A few minutes after Screwball had left the room, Fluffball was still wide awake. That had still not answer the question that remained in her head: What did the mean by, ''Another one?'' Fluffball looked towards the open door. The room next to hers was still there. Had it something to do with this. The more questions she asked herself, The More curious she got. She wanted to know more about that door...So much more... She shook her head at the thought. No. She had to be best behaved for her parents. She didn't want to disappoint them after all... Suddenly she heard a small creak. She looked towards the door. The room's door was open. just a tiny bit. She figured if she went there and shut it, that would be the end of it, but she was SO curious that curiosity got the best of her. She had to know. She HAD to know her parents' secret. Fluffball got out of bed and trotted towards the door. A ray of pink shone from it. Fluffball peeked inside and pushed the door wide open. She stepped in hesitantly and trotted forward. She gasped at what she saw. it was a camera. a camera. She squinted. THAT was her parents' big secret? She picked the object up with her magic and turned it on. Static showed on the small screen for a few minutes. Fluffball gasped as she saw a younger, pregnant version of her mother, smiling brightly as she held the camera. ''Ok, so...'' The Screwball in the video said. ''It's the ninth month of my pregnancy, and... I am so excited to meet our baby girl/boy, and... I hope it looks just as beautiful as me or as handsome as it's father.'' Fluffball smiled. She was guessing that was her when Her mother was pregnant with her. Just then Screwball started to breathe heavily. Then changed from breathing heavily to blowing out wind. Fluffball could tell that she was ready to come out. ''Whew! You're-You're really kicking hun...'' Screwball panted. ''You... wanna.. come out...? That badly...?'' Just then Screwball's eyes narrowed. It was then she realized. It was time. ''MOTHY!!'' Screwball screamed. ''GET MOM AND DAD! THE BABY'S COMING!'' ''WHAT?!'' Mothball shouted in the distance. In an instant, More static showed, but only for a second, the next thing you knew Screwball was in a stroller, being pushed by the magic of Nurse Cold Heart. Mothball was right next to his wife, holding the camera. ''Don't worry, Screwy! It'll all be over soon! We're finally gonna meet our daughter/son!'' Then next thing you knew Screwball was in a pregnancy room, Screaming her lungs out. Then more static, this time for a minute. Fluffball wondered what she looked like as a baby. was she fat or slim? Was her hair short or long? Was she- ''Here she is,'' A voice said. Fluffball shook her head out of her trance. She then looked back at the screen. Her mother and her father were smiling warmly as they stared a the blanket the baby was wrapped in. She heard small gurgles coming from the blanket. ''Wow... She's really got your eyes Screwy...'' The Mothball In the video said with a small grin. ''And a mixture of our hair.'' Fluffball giggled as she placed a hoof on her hair. She really did have a mixture of her parent's hair, didn't she? ''She's even got her grandma's skin colour.'' Screwball said with a smile. Fluffball gasped. ''Huh? I don't have-'' ''Or a least a slightly darker shade of it.'' Screwball snickered. Fluffball gasped as Screwball turned the mysterious baby to face the camera. That did not look ANYTHING like her. The filly in the video had a yellow coat, lime hair, and lime, swirly eyes. Fluffball was shocked. Who was this? Maybe they switched with the wrong baby? ''What should we name her?'' Screwball asked her husband while staring at the filly lovingly. ''Well... She kinda looks like a tennis ball...'' Mothball replied. They looked at each other for a moment, then smiled brightly. ''Tennis Ball.'' Fluffball was in awe at what her parents were doing with this filly, But watched on. Screwball and Mothball play with their so called: ''daughter'' While the baby laughed in delight. Fluffball kept glowering at the seem to be imposter. How her parents are not realizing they had the wrong baby. The next thing you know, Screwball was signing the name of the baby on the glass which surrounded the filly, And a new video was shown with Screwball's face on the camera. ''Ok so...'' She said. ''Tennis Ball is starting to walk, she tried walking like, a week ago. So now we're gonna try again, with Mothy recording the whole thing!'' Screwball handed Mothball the camera and Mothball stood four inches away from them, still recording Screwball and Tennis Ball. ''Ok, honey, come to Mama.'' Screwball gestured to the baby. The baby looked at the pink pony with large eyes, then wobbled as she stood to her hooves. ''She's doing it! She's doing it!'' Mothball cheered under his breath. ''That's it, Come on!'' Screwball smiled. The baby stepped her way to her mother. Step-by-step, she wobbled towards The pink earth pony. Screwball, trying to hide her outbursting joy, embraced the infant with outstretched hooves. ''SHE DID IT! SHE DID IT!''' Mothball screamed with joy. Then Tennis Ball turned back and a small object came towards her in a lime green magic aura. Screwball and Mothball gasped when they saw this, Screwball turned to the camera with an expression of shock, her mouth agape. ''Mothy.'' She said bluntly. ''Yeah?'' He replied. ''Turn off the camera.'' ''Why?'' ''Just. Turn it off.'' Then more static. Fluffball wondered when this will end. She wondered why her parents kept that baby. Who did she think she was, stealing her parents away from her? Why, if was there, she would knock some sense into her parents, and- ''This is it, Mothy.'' Screwball in the video said. Screwball and Mothball were at Discord and Fluttershy's doorstep. With Tennis Ball in Screwball's hoof. Tennis Ball started chewing on her mother's hair, Screwball using her magic to pull it out. ''No honey. Momma's hair is not food.'' She said, looking down at her daughter. Tennis Ball looked up at her mother with her large eyes, but then looked down again. She did not understand. Fluffball stifled a snicker. This kid WAS pretty cute. The door opened and her grandmother smiled at first when she saw Mothball and Screwball, But then screamed when she saw the Baby. ''DISCORD!!!'' She shrieked. ''OUR GRANDBABY! SHE'S HERE!'' Screwball snickered as Fluttershy screamed those words, Fluttershy turned back to her daughter and Son-in-law. ''May I hold her?'' She shakily asked. Screwball snickered and nodded. Fluttershy held the baby in her arms while blinking back her tears of joy. Her granddaughter. HER granddaughter she finally met, and now she's holding her! Her grandfather teleported right beside her, And he gasped and teared up. ''Is that...MY granddaughter?'' The baby teleported into his paw and claw. The baby and him stared for a while, until the filly giggled and attempted to hug him. He smiled, a tear falling down his cheek as he hugged her back. Suddenly, an umbrella hovered over Discord, and Fluttershy gasped. ''Did she...?'' Screwball nodded. ''Yup! Our daughter has powers, alright!'' Fluttershy couldn't stand it any longer and her tears flowed like a waterfall. Screwball teared up as well and hugged her mother. ''Yes, ma'am, Meet the new being of chaos.'' The video was long, and it went up to Tennis Ball's seventh birthday. ''So, what's your wish, hun?'' Mothball asked his daughter when she blew the candles. ''My wish is that Everypony in this town could be happy, and world hunger would end.'' Tennis Ball started. ''Awww~'' was said within the crowd. ''I also wish that Mommy and Daddy would have the first slice of cake.'' Another ''Aww~'' was said within the crowd. ''You raised your daughter well, Screwball.'' Twilight whispered to Screwball. She blushed as a thanks. The video ended with static. Fluffball looked up at the ceiling and turned on the light. Her eyes widened. There were pictures of the same filly her age. Most of them involving the filly, her mother and her father. She gasped in horror. Who was that filly? Why was she involved in this? AND WHY do her parents consider her as a ''daughter''? She then saw something shine in the glimpse of her eye. She looked in front of her. It was a locket of some sort. She picked it up with her magic and inspected it. She opened it to reveal The filly with her mother. She looked at the table that was displaying the object. there, a piece of paper was exposed to the light. she picked it up with her magic and also inspected it. It turned out to be a letter. She read: To my dear Tennis Ball, We all miss you, Momma misses you, Daddy misses you, Grandma and Grandpa miss you, Everypony misses you. Don't worry we will do everything we can to find you. We will not give up. And who knows, Maybe someday, you'll get to meet your sister. Fluffball gasped. It all made sense now. The pictures, the video, everything. She had realized now. ''I have a sister.'' She plopped onto the floor in disbelief. She then smiled in joy. ''I HAVE A SISTER!'' she shouted. She then covered her mouth and made sure no pony was watching. She then placed the locket into her schoolbag. She walked to the phone and dialed a number. She had to talk things through with somepony. Author's Note Yup. Somehow you knew i would upload this chapter. :raritywink: https://static.fimfiction.net/images/emoticons/raritywink.png But no worries, though, I will put Tennis Ball's persperctive and where she is.
