Nightmare Night is for Foals
Chapter one: Silly Alicorns
Princess Luna was in her chambers on the day of Nightmare Night decorating her chamber with pumpkins and strings of ghosts that hung on her ceiling. Luna was so excited for tonight as she and her sister had gone trick or treating almost every Nightmares Night together since her return. She looked up at her Witch’s costume hanging on the back of her door the design made by Rarity herself as a favor. Moving over to it, she took a moment to feel it’s black silky material. She squealed “oh this is so exciting! I love Nightmares night!” She scanned the dress with her horn “hmm, it seems more fashionable then scary but that’s okay I could fix it up a little.”
As Luna did some final touches to her costume, she didn’t notice that somepony was knocking on her door. She just gave a sigh and growled. “Come on in.”
Celestia slowly walked in and looked around in amazement at Luna’s bedroom seeing how much her sister had gotten into the spirit of the holiday. Celestia gave an exasperated sigh, yes they had been going trick or treating for the past few years and yes it was fun, but everypony in Canterlot would give them awkward smiles seeing two full grown princesses’ trick or treating with a bunch of foals, it was getting quite embarrassing. The princess turned watching as Luna added some spider webs to her dress and with a small smile the princess asked. “Luna, how are you doing?”
Luna turned around and gave her sister a big excited smile. “Hey, Celestia! Ready for tonight! I got my witch costume all ready to go! What are you going to be!?”
Celestia shook her head with a sigh. “Dear sister, I went along with you for the last few years to make you feel better about the festivities. But Trick or Treating is for foals not adults. I think it’s about time we stop this.”
Luna smile dropped instantly. “I know that sister, but it’s still enjoyable? What, you don’t like Trick or Treating?”
Celestia once again shook her head and continued, ”Yeah I do, but ponies are starting to get a little uncomfortable handing out candy to grown adults, and were princesses we need to act a little more dignified.”
Luna groaned and rolled her eyes as she asked, “so what are we going to do then?”
Celestia cooed, “hey we can celebrate Nightmare Night in different ways, we can host a party or hang out with Twilight’s friends?”
Luna pondered for a few moments as a smirk came over her face. She learned a new spell a few days ago and she thought this would be the perfect time to use it. Luna lit her horn and cooed, “I have a better idea.” Her magic tendrils wrapped around Celestia causing her to squeak. “Hey, what are you doing!?”
Before Celestia could react she felt her body shrink in age becoming younger and younger. Her mane grew out as it turned into a bubblegum pink color and her eyes went wider apart making her look a little like Flurry Heart. The dignified princess Celestia was now a chubby one-year-old foal squalling and whimpering. Luna squeaked “Oh dear! I was trying to turn you into a school filly, not a foal!”
Celestia glared at her sister angrily and tried to demand that she turn her back to normal, but found she could only babble gibberish. It was kind of cute.
Luna smirked as she lit her horn and lifted the wiggling chubby baby in her magic. “Well, I guess there’s no going back until the magic wears off. You may need a diaper though.” She let out a small chuckle.
Celestia tried to escape wiggling about and flapping her tiny wings but she was no match for Luna’s grown up magic. She was gently placed upon the bed as Luna took out a big dark blue diaper bag. “Good thing Cadence left a diaper bag while we were babysitting Flurry Heart.” She took out a cute little thick white diaper square and went about diaper up her sister. The squirming her sister was doing just made her remember things about the past when times were simpler. While she was doing the padding she smiled. “Oh remember when we drove our parents nuts. Ah, good times.” The princess tapped up the diaper all snug seeing Celestia pouting. Luna tapped a hoof to her chin. “Now for a costume...usually mothers dress their babies in pumpkin style onesies or like little dolls or superheroes. I want to do something different…”
She turned to her witch’s costume and clapped her hooves as a thought came to her almost instantly. “I know! Every witch needs a cat!” She exclaimed, looking down to see Celestia trying to take the diaper off. Luna lit her horn and poofed soft black paw booties on the foal’s tiny hooves. “Now now Tia, no playing with your diaper. We don’t know if you are potty trained yet.” Celestia pouted and stuck her tongue out as Luna snickered “What a naughty foal if I was your mother I would put you in timeout.”
She continued to dress up her sister by placing two little black cat ears over her pony ears and a silky black onesie to match the occasion. It even had an attached tail. Bringing out some black makeup, she smeared three little streaks on either side of her cheeks for whiskers.
Luna stepped back and admired her little adorable kitty cat “Oh you’re too precious I have to take pictures.” She hurried to her closet getting out the new camera device before coming over and adjusting the focus and exclaimed, “Say cheese!”
Celestia faked a smile, cheeks still burning from sear embarrassment. This was somehow worse than going as an adult.
Luna beamed ear to ear scooping up the foal and cheered. “Huza, let’s get going sister.” She looked outside and cooed, “oh dear, I need to raise the moon then it’s time for trick or treating!” She took out a cute foldable stroller and buckled the squirming Celestia inside. She then took her costume and got dressed. All the while Celestia looked down at the obvious diaper bulge around her bottom she kicked her legs feeling the thick diaper and blushed hoping she could get through the night without having to use it. But the odd rustling noises caught her foalish mind and she continued kicking her legs cooing at the noises until she suddenly heard. “Alright! Let’s go!” Celestia squeaked in surprise as she was pushed out of Luna’s room and into the halls of the castle.
It was an embarrassing trip for Celestia as she was pushed down the halls and amazed guards and maids watched and tried asking about the baby alicorn. Luckily Luna was in a hurry and was pushing her right along avoiding any embarrassing questions. They eventually came out into the courtyard where Luna turned to her checking the diaper and cooed, “I’m going to leave you alone for two seconds to raise the moon you better not do anything.”
Celestia crossed her hooves and babbled angrily as Luna flew into the sky to raise the moon. Just as Sunburst was coming along pushing Flurry Heart in a stroller. He turned to see Celestia and cooed, “Hello little one who might you be?”
Celestia just hid her face with her hooves as he snickered, ”aww, don’t be shy. I wonder where your mommy is.”
Flurry perked up and bubbled pointing at Celestia. She was dressed up like a gray wolf with cute paw mittens to match.
Luna flew down and squeaked, “uh hey Sunburst!? I thought you went out with Flurry Heart way earlier!?”
Sunburst blushed and rubbed a hoof behind his head. “Yeah well I forgot the diaper bag and she had a bad accident.”
“So Cadence and Shining went to enjoy the castle’s Nightmare Night party In Canterlot Square I take it?”
He nodded again. “Yeah, it’s the first nightmare night together since Flurry was born. They need the alone time, I don’t mind trick or treating with Flurry we already got a boatload of candy.”
“Well lucky you that you’ll get all the candy.” Luna chuckled wheeling Celestia alongside as they move down the street passing by other kids on their way to get candy treasures.
Sunburst laughed “ So who’s the little one? Is she a relative?”
Luna looked around and whispered, “well...to be honest, she’s Celestia. I kind of used a spell on her when she didn’t want to come Trick or Treating.” A faint blush washed across her face.
Sunburst adjusted his glasses unsure of what to say. “I see...well you’re more than welcome to join us.”
Luna eyed Flurry Heart who squealed in delight. The lunar princess cooed, “I”d be delighted too. The more the merrier as they say.” She did a little skip before moving to the first house nearby.
Sunburst rang the doorbell and out came one of the royal guards who wore a suit of rusted armor and a long black cape as he cooed, ”Hello happy Nightmare ni-” He squealed upon seeing Luna. “oh princess! You’re here again!”
Luna blushed, ”hello Cannon Feather, it’s nice to see you as well.”
He laughed “come on! I’m always your first stop every Nightmare Night!” he turned to the little princess in the stroller. She squeaked and tried placing her hooves over her diaper bulge. The guard just cooed, “Aww, so cute!” He hoofed candy into their little plastic pumpkin baskets that the adults held out. “I didn’t know there was another alicorn foal born.” He eyed the foal and whispered, “she reminds me of Celestia.”
Luna waved a hoof and chuckled, “Oh...well...it’s funny you would say that...um….”
“it is, she got herself turned into a foal she really wanted to enjoy Nightmare night like this.” Sunburst blurted out.
Flurry was busy playing with the tail on Celestia outfit giggling as she pulled it back with her magic causing Celestia to be pulled with it into her seat. Cannon Feather chuckled too. “Well, hope she enjoys it. You four have fun now.”
As they walked to the next house Luna sighed, ”thanks Sunburst, I mean I know I shouldn't have turned my sister into a foal. All because I wanted us to hang out together.”
Sunburst shrugged, “hey, it’s alright, I’m sure she could use the short break. Besides, she's awfully adorable.” He looked down the street at all the decorations. “There is a nice children's event happen at the center of Canterlot. I think they set up some sort of haunted house."
Luna listened to Sunburst explanation as they continued to Minuette's house nearby with fun Nightmare Night decorations. Luna pushed Celestia’s stroller to the front door as the blue-coated mare peeped out and smiled. “Oh, Princess Luna it's so nice to see you!”
Luna smiled back and cooed, “yes it is, I'm happy to see that your trick or treating this year!” She looked down at the foal and cooed, “oh and Celestia turned herself into a cute little kitty cat! How adorable!”
Celestia shouted and whined kicking about in a little tantrum. Luna just chimed in with a sheepish smile. “Can you give me a meow.”
Celestia squirmed kicking about in her diaper uncomfortable about the situation. Luna gave the foal's diaper a pat and cooed, “come on sweetheart give her a meow.”
The little filly glared at Luna but Celestia realized she'll probably would be here all night if she didnt comply. She rolled her eyes and gave a cute little, meow. Minuette placed her hooves on her cheeks and squealed, “oh she's so precious!” The mare then placed some candy into the plastic Pumpkin basket.
Sunburst came up afterward pushing the stroller with Flurry Heart bouncing up and down in her stroller. Minuette looked around at the other filly. “aww looks like Flurry has a friend for Nightmare Night. Minuette turned around and asked the little filly.“Hey, sweetie, can you give me a little grr.” Flurry Heart's instantly growled and wiggled her hooves around. Minuette clapped her hooves. “Oh my, you two are super adorable.” She then hoofed some more candy into Sunburst’s pumpkin basket. Flurry Heart squealed in delight and kicked about in her diaper.
Sunburst fixed his glasses and whimpered, “yeah thanks for the candy…” Luna and Sunburst walked off pushing their foals down the street. They continued walking until they came up to Moondancer’s house next with orbs floating in magic showing ghost-like forms flying around. As they approached Luna felt odd as she realized she was slowly regressing. Confused, she tired lighting her horn to stop it but only sparks came out. Within a few seconds, Luna was reduced to a chubby one-year-old as well. She whined and kicked her hooves seeing her witch costume that included a little black dress and hat has shrunk with her.
Sunburst blinked in surprise and whispered. “Wow, was that supposed to happen?”
Celestia laughed and clapped her hooves with glee watching the situation unfolding before her. Sunburst quickly scooped the baby Luna into his hooves and cooed, “aww looks like you’re a foal too.”
Celestia stuck her tongue out. “Haha, serves you right.”
“Wow, foals can talk?” Luna gasped still embarrassed about being so small. But neither Flurry nor Celestia could give a response as Sunburst went about powdering Luna's rump with foal powder then sliding one of Flurry blue diapers around her rump slowly taping the little tabs snuggly on the landing zones with a solid crinkle. Sunburst then slowly snapped Luna into the stroller.She groaned looking down at how her which dress did nothing to hide her diaper. The padding now clearly shown tapped around her rump like a big blue bulge.
Sunburst patted the diaper and snickered, “wow even the costume regressed with you.That's one odd spell you must have used.”
Luna was still frustrated as she flapped her wings in a storm of diaper crinkles and clouds of foal powder. All the while Flurry Heart and Celestia were both laughing and bouncing up and down in excitement.
Luna glared at them and began to slap her hooves at them and Sunburst gasped as he squealed, “Okay you three calm down stop that no fighting!”
Moondancer hearing the commotion came out and tilted her head at the odd sight of Sunburst struggling to settle the foals in their strollers. ”Hey what’s...” she blinked upon seeing Sunburst struggling with three excited alicorn babies babbling and squealing. Climbing off her pouch she revealed herself wearing a cute moon costume that formed around her body made of paper mache with her face painted with grey face paint. She slowly trotted over to the struggling Sunburst and asked in a shy nervous tone. “Uh hey, Sunburst!? Do you need help? I haven’t really gotten many trick or treaters tonight.”
He turned around with Flurry in one hoof crying and Celestia in the other hoof spitting and flapping her wings in excitement. The stallion gave a groan seeing how ridiculous he must look and sighed, “yes, uh if you don’t mind. I could use an extra pair of hooves”
Luna and Celestia had gotten in a mini slap fight apparently arguing about something but clearly, the adults had no clue about what. Sunburst moved their hooves away and sighed. “I’m sure you two can still have fun together. Besides, it not like you’re stuck as foals.”
Moondancer came over and squeaked, “Wait, Celestia and Luna turned themselves into foals!?”
Sunburst fixed his glasses and nodded as he explained. ”Yeah, they’ll probably be like this for the rest of the night.”
Moondancer rolled her eyes. “Ugh, if they wanted an age regression spell they should've come to me?”
“Why’s that?” Sunburst asked curiously. “Age spells are very hard to pull off properly.”
Moondancer fixed her own glasses as she bragged. “I did turn Twilight and myself into school fillies perfectly when she came by to visit a month ago for a little sleepover. Twilight Velvet enjoyed that. she even made us some cute pajamas.”
Sunburst giggled as both Celestia and Luna’s mouths were wide open with disbelief. Flurry took the opportunity to pop in the spare pacifier from the diaper bag into their mouths. The two alicorn princesses turned around with glares at Flurry but they slowly began to suckle the binkies and watched them bob up and down. Sunburst turned around at Moondancer and asked, “so uh, I guess we could take these three to the foal haunted house and the party their having.”
Moondancer nodded. “Sure, sounds like fun, but fair warning I never changed a diaper in my life.”
Sunburst snickered, “don’t worry it’s easier than it looks. As long as the foal holds still.” He stared back at Flurry as the adorable princess just stuck her tongue out mischievously.
The foal Haunted house was designed to be more silly than scary with big bouncing ghosts, and ponies dressed as clowns passing out candy and pinching the foals cheeks. Celestia and Luna were dawwed and cooed at asking if they wanted more candy or commenting on how adorable they looked. They both loved the attention cooing and kicking about just being memorized by the bright colors and weird sounds. Sunburst and Moondancer however, were the ones embarrassed as many of the ponies whispered seeing how they looked like a couple with a few foals. Sunburst just rubbed a hoof over his face and groaned, “Starlight is going to kill me.”
Moondancer laughed as she watched the three foals wonder around. “Oh, it's’ not so bad it's just dumb rumors, Besides, you are kind of cute with three foals Mr. Crystaller.”
Sunburst smirked, “yeah well you did fumble with Luna’s diaper, I can’t believe you had it upside down.”
Moondancer cringed at the recent memory of her trying to change a whining baby Luna and whined, “Stop don’t remind me!”
Meanwhile, Celestia laughed as she tackled Luna pawing at her with her booties and making mock cat sounds. Luna’s foolish mind caught up to her as he squeaked and laughed too worming around on the floor as they roughhoused a little. “No don’t eat me!”
“Rawr, I'm a black cat, I'm cursed.”
Luna bumped her nose. “Nah uh. ya just a kitty cat.”
Tia frowned, “it doesn't matter, still cursed.”
Luan babbled, “nuh uh,”
“Yeah huh!”
They got into another slap fight as Sunburst turned and had to break it up again. “Hey stop that right now or we're going home!”
Both foals stopped hearing the threat as they were strapped back into their stroller.
Flurry shook her head. “Ya two need to stop fighting! I no wanna go home early.”
They both look down and mumble apologizes to Flurry as their strollers moved them along for more candy.
Moondancer ruffled Sunburst’s mane. “You’re going to be a good dad someday.”
He gave a look of horror at the notion of more foals and stammered, “Well...hopefully not soon! I want to take a break after Flurry Heart grows up a little.”
Moondance smirked. “Oh so are you trying to get Starlight on a date or not?”
He scoffed, “well hopefully she won’t get jealous about the stupid rumors that are probably going around tonight. “
They eventually made their way back to the main party where there were booths full of games and ponies handing out more candy. Cadence and Shining are both in the crowd dancing She wore a cute cupid costume with a toga and a quiver of arrows around her back. Shining Armor wore a vampire costume with a black cloak, fake teeth, and his mane combed back. They both turned around seeing the three foals and Cadence couldn't help to wander over to see who the other fillies were. But as she got closer she recognized the two foals immediately as her aunts and leaned down and asked. ‘Oh my, what happened to them?”
Moondancer shrugged. “long story short, They got regressed for the night so we are foalsitting them. At least Flurry has playmates.”
Cadence looked up at the two and giggled. “Oh wow, you two do look like a couple. But thanks, I appreciate you two helping out with the foals...Um...If you don’t mind Shining and I are really having a lot of fun could you tuck them into bed and all that?”
They both gave exasperated sighs but nodded as cadence cooed, ”thanks again.” She then left off in a hurry to continue dancing with her husband. Sunburst sighed, “well I think we should at least let them play a few games then take them back to the castle.”
Moondancer gave a nod and exclaimed, “That’s a good idea, come on I think they would love the spider throwing game.”
They moved over to the book with the rubber spiders. Luna giggles floating up one of them in her magic and making it crawl around. A nearby foal squeaked in horror as it crawled up his back. The night princess laughed some more pointing and kicking her legs as the foal cried and jumped about.
Celestia rolled her eyes as she picked her spider up and tried to throw the spider but it just fell to the ground. Flurry just took her rubber spider and started to chew on it. Sunburst sighed “I think that this game may be too complicated for them.”
Moondancer looked around “What about the eyeball bowl. All they have to do is put their hooves in a jar full of rubber eyeballs and grab one of the toys.”
Sunburst looked up at the clock. “Well it is getting close to Flurry’s bedtime we should take them to the nursery.”
Luna and Celestia tried to deny they were tired but were soon rubbing their eyes.
Sunburst gave a nod, “yeah that’s a good game for one-year-olds.”
They took the foals to the other both and place them around the big punch bowl full of rubber eyeballs. They dug around the bowl picking out some cute packets full of candy corn.” They all giggled as they continued to take handfuls of candy corn before any of the adults noticed they took all the candy corn from the bowl throwing it all over the place covering the ground in candy corn. Sunburst squealed as he scooped the foals “I'm sorry! No bad foals you were supposed to take one!”
This, of course, made them all whimper and began bawling causing sound waves to travel across the party sunburst did his best to hush them as he placed them in the stroller and placed his hooves over his eyes and cooed, “where's the babies?”
Every foal stopped as they looked up at Sunburst with surprised looks then he opened his hooves and squealed, “there they are!”
All of the foals giggled and clapped their hooves in delight. Sunburst did the simple trick a few more times as Moondancer slowly came over and whispered, “I think I had enough for one-night let's get them to the castle.”
Sunburst gave a nod as he took out some candy corn from his mane. “Yeah me too I think we got more than enough candy corn.”
Sunburst was tucking the foals into a crib in Flurry’s temporary nursery back at the canterlot castle. They were all dressed in cute sleepers with pumpkins and bats printed on them. But the foals were whining and fussing about not wanting to go to sleep. Sunburst growled “that's enough! if you keep on fighting you won't have any of your candy tomorrow.”
The foals all stopped fighting and stopped their fussing as he fixed the blanket over them and placed pacifiers into their mouths. He then gave each foal a kiss on their foreheads and shut the lights. Celestia and Luna snuggled under their blankets adjusting themselves hugging Flurry heart who hugged them back. Sunburst stood by watching them fall into a deep sleep with pacifiers bobbing up and down. Sunburst watched them with his mane frizzled and glasses bent lopsided. Moondancer, however, was out of her costume and was wearing her typical sweater and she came over smiling to see the three foals fast asleep. She came over and cooed “they are so cute but I hope the princesses never do this again.”
Sunburst gave a nod and a long exasperated sighed, “yeah this was one crazy night…”
They both looked down at the three foals all fast asleep. Sunburst gulped and whispered, “I really hope they are back to normal by morning.”
Moondancer fixed her glasses and explained. “As you were putting the foals asleep I read the spell book Luna used. They should be back to normal by morning.”
Sunburst sighed in relief and mumbled nervously, “well I guess we can...um...well…”
Moondancer smirked and suggested, “how about we just read some scary stories and eat candy.”
“Good idea.” Sunburst chuckled and followed Moondancer out of the nursery. As they walked out of the nursery magic tendrils wrapped around the fillies. They instantly transformed into adults as they squeaked as they crashed the crib under their weight. Both Sunburst and Moondancer rushed back into the nursery to find the two princesses now with surprised expressions in their adult forms. They both still had their sleepers and their thick diapers that somehow grew with them and the pacifiers still bobbing in their mouths. Everypony was silent and unsure of what to do until Flurry Heart popped out of Celestia mane squealing in delight. Sunburst gave a blush as he fixed his glasses and asked, “uh...do you two need help?”
