A deadly beast stalks the night, spilling innocent pony blood. With both ruling princesses occupied with other diplomatic matters, Princess Twilight tries to make sense of the gruesome killings.

Meanwhile, with Nightmare Night fast approaching, Fluttershy is eager for the cursed holiday to pass her by. However, soon she realizes that the horror within her is not truly gone, and that it is waking up fast.

Soon Ponyville is caught in the middle of a no-holds-barred bloodfest as two legendary creatures of the night square off in a fight to the death. There will be death. There will be blood. There will be war.

Rated M for gore and some disturbing/distressing content, such as character death.
