A Friendship's Journeyby Dawn DarknessChapters1. Something Lost2. A New World3. Meeting with Royalty4. A Week Later5. Friendship is Magic, Part 11. Something LostIt had been a good few years since the Pacific Ocean opened with a gateway to another dimension just underneath our planet. I was eight when the first Kaiju came ashore on our surface, attacking cities and towns with no intention to stop. After that attack from the Kaiju, the governments began to establish a new order of where mankind comes together to defeat the horrible Kaiju that continues to attack our homes and lands. After I turned twelve, I was recruited alongside my brother in the Jaeger program. We worked as a team, defeating many Kaiju along the way. Some other teams also defeated a lot of Kaiju from their part of the whole program. The Jaeger pilots became rockstars. We were interviewed many times, even me and my brother. Until one day.. I awoke abruptly after a voice echoed through the building of the headquarters of the Jaeger program. I got up as soon as I had woken up, rushing to my brother, Chet's side as I began to hit him with my hands. "C'mon, bro, wake up!" I called. "Another Kaiju has come ashore from the Breach. Now's not the time to be a sleepy-head." He groaned as he woke from his slumber. "What time is it?" He grumbled. For someone like my brother, he's awfully grumpy in the morning. "Seven thirty," I replied as I checked the clock. "That early?" Chet asked again. "What category of a Kaiju are we dealing with?" "A category Five, one of the biggest ones yet," I answered, tossing him his shirt as he grabbed it. Chet was about to leave when he turned to look at me from behind. "Hey, kid!" "Yeah?" I called back. "Don't get cocky." Hardy-har. After a while of getting dressed, we left our chamber as we walked through the corridor to our Jaeger. We walked over to a gate that was opened for us and, as soon as we stepped through, it began to close. "We're about to kick some ass," Chet called joyfully. We got prepared as we were in our white suits, looking terrific as we stepped onto a panel in the middle of the head of our Jaeger. We put our helmets on as a voice echoed through them, as the yellow in the helmet moved down so that we could see where we was going. A few people got our suits closed as we were locked onto the panel that was the controller of our Jaeger, Gipsy Danger. "Hello, boys!" A voice called from somewhere in the control room. "Mandel, my boy," Chet said. "How are you and the girls?" Of course he would ask that. "Oh, my wife is fine, so is the kid," Mandel replied As Mandel was busy talking with the chief of our Jaeger program, and started the countdown, Chet and I looked at each other. "You worried?" He asked. "Not one bit," I smiled at him confidently. "Don't get too confident," Chet warned. "There will be consequences, you know." "I know," I responded back as I looked away from him as I took in a breath to calm myself. A mental link appeared through my mind. The Jaeger program has a mental link between two pilots, a shared mind. The greater your mind, the better you fight. A movement got me out of my thoughts as I looked straight ahead. My brother and I heard what Mandel was telling us to do. "Okay, boys, here's the deal," he told us. "You have to go rescue a ship that's in danger from the new Kaiju. Once you got it to safety, you'll have to fight and destroy the Kaiju from causing any potential havoc." "No problem," Chet said smugly. "It'll be a piece of cake." I wouldn't be too sure about that... We moved our arms up for a bit, making them connect as the Gipsy's arms did what we were doing. Lowering our arms, the robot's arms also lowered. "Here we go." That's right, Chet. We started to walk in the waves, as our Jaeger was making its way to our location. There's one thing that no one can defeat. If you are near a thunder storm, all you have to do is walk around, and you'll be alright. But, once you're in a Jaeger, suddenly, you can fight back. Coming up from seeing the Kaiju near the ship, my brother and I began to lift the harmless ship up as we got it to safety as the Kaiju growled angrily at us. The Kaiju's appearance was slightly different than most Kaiju. It had dark gray skin, a sharp and long head piece, as well as strong and powerful arms and legs. Its tail also looked quite strong. "Let's get ready to rumble!" Chet cried cheerfully as we began to brawl with the Kaiju. The Kaiju charged in first, attacking our Jaeger with its powerful arms before it went for a tail swipe. We were sent backwards for a bit, but maintained our physical state clearly. The Kaiju made another tail attack, but this time, our Jaeger grabbed the tail and started to loosen the grip as the Kaiju was flung back a bit. Me and my brother piloted the Gipsy with great skill and naturally got the Kaiju back for a few meters in the raging waves of the ocean near Alaska. Continuing to pilot Gipsy, we worked together to bring down the Kaiju after a while of struggle. But, as we were in close range, the Kaiju began to go in for the kill. It pierced through the arm of our Jaeger, as I let out a painful cry as my arm was stuck and paralyzed from the sudden move of the Kaiju. "It's breaking through!" Chet cried out as he noticed the Kaiju biting its way to us. Chet quickly looked at me with an unreadable expression. "Daniel, listen to me! You have to-" He was thrown out of the controller of the Jaeger as I cried out for my brother. "NO!" I yelled helplessly, as I struggled to get the controller into my other free hand. I managed, as I began to scream out in anger as tears started to form from my blue eyes. "YOU'LL PAY!" A blue light started to form in Gipsy's unbroken arm as it was aimed directly at the Kaiju, as something happened I wasn't expecting. Slowly walking to a snowy beach, I let the Jaeger I was piloting fell down on the surface of the cold beach as I managed to get out of the robot, looking badly beaten up. I had bruises and cuts all over my body while my suit was torn as well. I saw two humans nearby, one of them was no doubt the boy's elder. I soon fell on my back and blacked out. A few months later after the incident, and the loss of my brother, I returned home to my parents as they scorned me for what happened. I had retired from the Jaeger program as I was feeling pretty down right now, with uncontrollable emotions that was going all-out on me from the inside. After what I went through, I needed some good night's sleep. What I didn't expect, was a bright white light engulfing me as I was unexpectedly transported away from the face of the Earth. This is where my story truly began. I'll meet friends, enemies, and a new family to call my own as my parents never truly cared about me, only my brother who they had lost so terribly from what happened that day. I won't make amends with them for how they treated me in the past... 2. A New WorldI was groaning in annoyance as my body twitched a bit from my position. My blue eyes slowly opened as I took in my surroundings. A plain was in the view as I tilted my head to the side as I was utterly confused. What happened? Last thing I saw, was my ceiling in my...parents' house as I...then it clicked. I quickly got up from my uncomfortable position, but fell down again as I let out an 'Oof' sound from my mouth as I blinked in confusion. What now? I looked down on my hands...which turned out to not be hands as I saw blue colored hooves instead. My eyes widened in shock and fear as I quickly turned my head over to get a better look on my body. My human form was no more, being replaced with a blue horse thing instead of my usual skin and such. Eyes looking upwards, I saw an horn sticking out of my forehead as I groaned in confusion, literally. How the heck did I turn into a blue horse?! I walked over to a pool of glittering water as I took in my new form. I sighed as I lowered my head in confusion and a bit of shame as I knew I was in Hell now. Hanging my head downward, I began to grumble under my breath. "Where did I go? Where the Hell am I?" All these new surroundings gave me even more questions to ask. I saw that my eyes were still blue, which was a relief. But, in this form, how can I fight back if I can't learn on how to use hooves? I need someone to teach me on how to use this form of mine, even if it turns out to be of royalty or something noble. After some moments of alone time, I decided that, if I should be in this strange world in all of my life now, then I'd better see if I can find someone to teach me how to be like them. I turned away from the glittering pool of water, then knew that my throat was sore. I sighed as I began to drink like a horse from the pool, with the drinkable source of water flowing through my throat as I gulped it down. This was embarrassing... Afterwards, I walked away from the watering pool as I walked to a mountain that had a city outward of it. Better see if I can find someone there, then. This was a longer walk than expected. I had gone for about two hours now from the watering hole. I was exhausted, to say in the least. When I managed to get to the city that jutted outwards of the mountain, I took some time to breathe in the fresh air of this world. I realized that I was in a new world from back there. So, I'd better be like them, if I was going to be with them for the rest of my life. Anyway, I was now within the city, as I continued to trot in the streets as I began to gain some attention from the bystanders that was looking at me. I shrank back as I was not happy with the attention I was receiving. Suddenly, I bumped into someone. "Oof." I groaned as I looked at who bumped into me. The one I bumped into was an elegant purple, twelve-year old horse with an indigo streak in her lavender mane and tail. She had violet eyes that I found was rather attractive. Where did that come from? The purple pony looked at me as she squinted her eyes at me with curiosity. Then, after some inspecting, she spoke. "Hello," she greeted. "...Hi..." I shyly greeted, looking away from her gaze. "You don't need to be shy," she told me. "I'd like to talk with you." Oh, yeah? Well, let's see where this was going. "Where are you from?" she asked. Eyes widening in fear, as I didn't expect that to come first as I thought it could come last. "Um...somewhere down...near...the forest close to that town..." Gosh, I'm so nervous and shy. "Oh, you're from Ponyville?" the pony asked in wonder. "Ponyville...?" I whispered lowly to myself before knowing that she was still waiting for me to answer. "Oh. Oh, yes. I'm from Ponyville." It was weird to say a name after something like that. "How is it like?" Man, does she has many questions. "It's rather great, easy and quiet," I replied to her. "It's what you expect from a town like that." "I know," she sighed. "I sometime wish to move there, but I'm not old enough to do that." I waited after an awkward silence came between us. "So...what else do you need to know?" She blinked before she motioned me to her home. "Come. Let's go to my place in Canterlot. I have something to show you." I gave a shrug as I followed her into the city, which was apparently called Canterlot. God. That almost was the name of Camelot somehow. That's funny, actually. As I walked with the purple unicorn to her house, I started to ask her one thing I missed back there. "I didn't get your name," I said. The pony I was following looked at me with expecting violet eyes. "My name is Twilight Sparkle." She continued to show me the way to her home as I mused something under my breath. So, her name's Twilight, eh? That is...kinda like a magical name even. Her form, her voice...where did I hear and see that from? After a while, the two of us managed to get to Twilight's home as I tilted my head at the building that was awfully close to the building in the back, which must be the palace of this place. When I was done inspecting her home, Twilight motioned me to follow her inside. I accepted her gesture as I sighed in relief from getting away from the public attention of Canterlot. As Twilight showed me the way to her room, a little six year old looking lizard came up to her as it...spoke. "Hey, Twilight, you're back!" the lizard happily hugged her as Twilight hugged him back as I stood there. "Spike." So, his name is Spike, eh? "I have somepony that is kinda lost. He'll be staying here for a while after some interaction between him, me and our parents." Somepony? Isn't it someone? What is the logical name for the species here? "That's great!" Spike bounced up and down as he spoke. "Somepony to have company with! I've been looking forward to this!" Man was he excited. "Don't get too excited, Spike," Twilight reminded him. "He's shy to new faces." "Oh." Spike nodded in understanding as he smiled at me. "So, you're the new guy in the city?" "I...am..." I nervously answered as I hung my head a little low. "No need to be afraid, I won't bite," Spike reassured me as he smiled. "Twilight could show you her parents. They should know the new one before they go out for some shopping." "Great idea, Spike," Twilight agreed with a nod of her head. "Come...uh..." She tilted her head in confusion as she hadn't thought of my name firsthand when we met back there. Even I was in a thinking mood. Name...name...name...Got it! "Dawn," I told her. "Dawn Darkness." "I'll remember it, Dawn," Twilight smiled thankfully as she motioned me to follow her again. Once we got to where her parents were, I started to feel homesick as I was still nervous of being in a world I know nothing about. After my retirement of the Jaeger program, I was still remembering the rough times with my brother Chet, who was now dead thanks to that damn Kaiju. Yes. I still remembers that even in this new form of mine. "Dawn?" Twilight got me out of my thoughts. "You okay? You look a bit down there." "Sorry," I apologized, hanging my head low. "Just thinking about a private matter." "I understand," the purple unicorn nodded. "If you feel like talking about it, you have plenty of time before then." "I will, eventually," I replied. We managed to get to where Twilight's parents were at, as the two unicorns looked at us, mostly at Twilight with expecting eyes. "Twilight, you're back," the light gray unicorn called. "You're early," the blue one added. "I ran into somepony, which was the reason of my short trip," Twilight told them. "Oh?" the light gray unicorn, obviously her mother, raised an eyebrow. "Who is this somepony?" "Him," Twilight looked at me just then, as I gulped inaudible at the stares I received from her parents. "So, you've met our daughter?" the blue unicorn asked me with questioning eyes. "Uh..." I was very nervous now. "...That'll be me..." "He's rather shy and nervous around new faces," Twilight explained to them. "He's from Ponyville." "Really?" her mother's eyebrow rose even more. "That's interesting." The blue unicorn, most likely Twilight's father, looked straight at me in the eyes. I was filled with nervousness and anxiety as I feared the worst. However, to my small surprise, he simply walked up to me and held a hoof out for me to shake. I was now in confusion. "We'd like to remember you here," he told me. "So, if we're going to do this, why not speak more with us over dinner? Maybe you'd like to know what we'll get." Slowly, very slowly, I shook his hoof with mine as he smiled gently at me. "Tomorrow, we're going to meet the Princess," Twilight suddenly announced to them. "I think she'd like to meet with a new face in Canterlot, as well before we make arrangements." "Good idea," her father nodded knowingly as he smiled at his daughter. "If you feel that way, why can't he meet with a royal? He'll need to feel welcomed and loved." I was now very fearful with anxiety. How...can...they...know...I'm not...from...Ponyville...? Twilight looked at me as the three unicorns looked confused at my state. I was breathing in and out as I was trying to calm myself. "Dawn?" the purple unicorn looked worried. I didn't respond, as I suddenly collapsed from the overwhelming feelings that were going all-out against me from within my very being. 3. Meeting with RoyaltyGroaning in annoyance like when I got to this world, I slowly opened my blue eyes as I noticed I was in a book-filled room, and that I was laying on a bed instead the ground. The light of the sun illuminated the room as I grunted before trying to get up from my position. I saw that Twilight wasn't in the room as I panicked to know I was alone once more in a world I know little about. As I continued to panic, I tried to calm myself as the door suddenly opened and in came the one I met back there on the streets. Calming myself by inhaling and exhaling, I noticed that Twilight looked worried for my condition. "You okay?" she finally asked after some moments of silence. "...No..." I told her honestly. "Panic-stricken is really irritating me, you know. Where were you anyways?" I don't want to feel alone again. "I was just telling the Princess about a new arrival in the city," Twilight answered. "...Oh." I felt a bit relieved about that, but by hearing the name of a Princess, made me panic again as I was now breathing in and out. "Dawn, you need to calm down," Twilight tried to assure me, with little success. "Sorry..." I apologized, hanging my head in shame. "I don't feel good around folks when mentioning a royal and such." "I understand," Twilight smiled with gentleness. "How about some breakfast? You must be awfully hungry after a whole day and night before dinner when you collapsed like that yesterday." My eyes widened in shock as I finally spoke again. "It's already been a day?!" "Yes," Twilight confirmed with a nod of her head. "You were out for more than ten hours after you collapsed. Ten hours, thirty minutes, and twenty seconds, to be more precisely." I was out for almost eleven hours?! God, was that longer than how I was normally sleeping before the Jaeger program assignment. As I continued to sink in the words Twilight told me, I didn't notice her walking out of the room to get me some breakfast. I was now alone once again. God, this is terrible. After a while, Twilight returned with a tray of food that was above the ground, in an strange aura. I soon saw that her horn was lighting up with a lavender aura. "How...do...you do that...?" I was baffled and confused at the use of magic in this world. "Oh!" Twilight realized, setting the tray down on a table near me. "This is the magic that Equestria uses. There's many different types of magic, in fact. You'll know it after getting a lesson from the Princess." I began to dig in the food after Twilight explained that to me. As I can't utilize magic yet, I have to eat the food with my blue hooves for now. I noticed from the corner of my eyes that Twilight blinked in confusion. "You can use your horn's magic, you know," she told me. "Sorry, but I can't." I was being honest with her, as I hated lying. "What do you mean you can't?" Man, she was asking a lot. "First off," I began after gulping down some water from the glass. "I can't use magic. I haven't yet learned on how to do it. I'm sorta like a newbie when it comes to magic." "Still," Twilight started. "I can teach you after the meeting with Princess Celestia, then hopefully you can use your horn while the lessons are on." "Really?" I asked, hopefully. "You'd teach me?" "Of course!" Twilight exclaimed with a smile. "I've wanted to teach somepony while being under the teachings of the Princess herself." I spit out some water on the ground after hearing that. Twilight blinked in confusion. "Sorry," I apologized again. "So, you're the student of a royal?" "Pretty much," Twilight nodded, as if it was no big deal. "Huh." I was now humming in interest as I continued to eat my food. I finally finished my meal as Twilight smiled at me as she spoke once more. "Come, let's go." Man, was she enthusiastic of meeting the Princess with me. As I was done washing the tray in the kitchen, which was a bit hard with hooves instead of hands, Twilight and I announced to the former's parents that we'll be out for some time. They understood as they had nodded as me and Twilight walked out of the house, which was a library I came to think of as of late. Twilight and I walked through the streets of Canterlot once more, as I hung my head low to not get too much attention like yesterday when I arrived. As we continued to walk, I began to be in deep thought as I was hanging my head low. This Princess Celestia must be pretty honored to have Twilight as her student. Whatever the case is with me, I'll explain some of the things that I went through with honesty. I hate lying to royalty, you know. After my thinking, the two of us managed to get to the doors of the castle. I was very nervous and was with anxiety as I noticed the guards in front of the gate, having spears in their magic as I nervously looked at them. The guards only nodded to us as they noticed Twilight with me, which was a good sign as the two of us walked through the large door to the castle. The inside of the castle was white and gray with pillars high enough to hold the rooftop above us. There was a few stained glasses on the walls with some windows. A red carpet laid on the floor, what we were walking on, that is. We continued to walk forward, as we passed by a white unicorn clad in golden armor. He had blue eyes like me, looking at Twilight. "Twily!" "Shiny!" Huh? The two hugged each other as I stood there, looking away shyly as the white unicorn looked at me from his position. "Who's he?" Did he just ask that? "That's Dawn," Twilight introduced for me. "His full name is Dawn Darkness. A nice guy to be with, in fact. We've just met recently yesterday before he met our parents. He's rather nervous, shy, and usually quiet." She just explained my traits to a guy I know nothing about. "Oh," the white unicorn nodded in understanding, but held skepticism and guard up for some reason. He cleared his throat as I looked at him. "I understand you want to meet up with the Princess, is that correct?" He was having his guard-like attitude now. "...Yes..." I quietly replied, so low he couldn't hear me. "Huh?" He tilted to the side with his head. "Didn't quite catch that." I inhaled a breath as I spoke more clearly. "Yes. I want to meet up with the Princess." "That's more like it," the white armored pony smiled, pleased, nodding his head as he let us through. As Twilight led me to the throne room, I looked behind me as I hummed from the way I met up with the white unicorn, who was no doubt Twilight's brother from what she told me afterwards. Before us, after some more seconds of walking, we were greeted with a door that led to the throne room of this castle. Twilight kindly opened the door for me, as I walked through it as I had gotten a glimpse of the pony sitting on the throne. A white pony with the wings of a pegasus and the horn of a unicorn sat on the throne. She had a sun-like marking on her flank, as she had light pink, lime green, and blue colored floating hair and tail. She had pink eyes as she smiled warmly at us. Standing up, the pony gracefully walked down to us as she spoke. "Twilight Sparkle," she said the unicorn's name first. "I see you've arrived with your new friend." "Yes, Princess Celestia." Twilight nodded. So, that's this Princess Celestia. "May I know your name, my little pony?" Celestia asked me, as I let out an inaudible gulp of nervousness. "Dawn...Dawn Darkness, Your Highness," I introduced respectfully, as I was now getting a couple of overwhelming feelings like yesterday. Celestia smiled warmly and kindly. "No need to be so overwhelmed, Dawn. I won't hurt you." I gasped as she let her horn touch my own horn gently as I suddenly felt more safe with her. "What...did you do?" I asked for clarification of what she's done. "I simply let a small portion of my magic inside of you," Celestia told me kindly, smiling once more. "I could tell you had no magic in you, from how you've arrived in Equestria. Can you explain, please?" Well, as she's asking nicely, I might as well tell her a few things. "Okay. But, can we do this privately, with no one to hear this?" I questioned her. "Of course," the larger pony nodded as she looked at the guards and the ones in the throne room. They nodded as they left the room quietly for us to speak with no eavesdroppers. Celestia looked back at me. "You may begin." "I'll start from the beginning, alright?" The two nodded as I sighed deeply before starting. "It all happened one day, in a different world unlike yours. I was only twelve back then. I was in a program that controlled giant robots called Jaegers, which was something creatures of myths from your world, has created to combat evil and merciless beings called Kaiju." "Kaiju?" Celestia tilted her head to the side. "A word meaning 'strange beast'," I explained. "Oh." She motioned for me to continue. "After one day, a couple of months ago," I continued, "I lost someone dear to me, my brother, from a Kaiju that threw him out of our Jaeger. I was depressed, desperate, and hopeless a few weeks later, wishing to see him again, but I was just someone who couldn't do something like a God could. I couldn't bring him back to life. I couldn't see him again. I was alone with my harsh and cold parents who gave me little attention. They were nothing like my brother, who gave me more attention than them. I wanted to get out of their house, but since I am a young boy, I can't live alone in a world with evil creatures on the loose." "So," Twilight started. "You're what the myths calls...a human? Is that right?" "I was, but not now," I told her, lowering my gaze as I gave a low, but cold growl. "My parents are nothing like how you are to me. They beat me up, giving me bruises, cuts, you name it. My brother, although kind to lend me a hand afterwards, was giving harsh warnings about helping me. They says they would throw him out if he helped me from their beatings. He couldn't be that way, so he gave me some space when he got their warning." "That's sad," Celestia noted. I nodded in sadness as I finished. "After I lost my brother, and returned to their house for more beat up, I was in a flash of light before everything is where I am now." I didn't realize I told them my whole story. I had told them I was human, which was a bad move for me. To my surprise, Twilight hugged me tightly as she whispered, "You won't be alone again." Celestia cleared her throat as Twilight released me from her hug. "Twilight, I'll be putting you in charge for Dawn's well-being. As for him, he'll be in your family for now." That put my hopes up as I was getting acquainted with Twilight rather well. "I understand, Princess," Twilight nodded. "We'll give him the best treatments he'll ever have. I promise you that." I gave a small smile as I was dismissed with Twilight by Celestia. Me and Twilight walked out of the castle, before going to her home. My new home. 4. A Week LaterIt's been no more than a week since I arrived in this world. Twilight was kind enough to make comfortable around her parents. She told me, that if I should be in Equestria for a better life than my previous one, I should get more interactions done beforehand. The light of the sun illuminated in my new room as I lightly groaned until I awoke from my slumber on my bed. I was having an fantastic sleep, only to get ruined by the sun that happened to be rising in the horizon. Ugh. How I hate the sun sometimes. As I stretched my limbs after my small awakening, I jumped off my bed as my horn lit up as I adjusted the blanket I slept under to a nice format and comfortable way. After that, I gave a low sigh as I turned around and left the room as I walked down the stairs to the living room of the house that I can call my new home. I met up with Spike, the green-purple small dragon that I met the other week when I arrived here in Canterlot, who had a pleasant smile on his expression. "Why the happy face, Spike?" I asked in sly wonder. "It's a new day of the week," he told me. "Why shouldn't I feel happy, Dawn?" "Oh, you know," I gave a fake smile. "If something might happen when you were out of the day. Twilight would get pretty worried for you if something was to happen." "Please," Spike didn't look as enthusiastic like I, as he scoffed. "There'll be nothing wrong today. Meet you at breakfast." He was near the door, when suddenly, he was engulfed in an blue aura as I smirked from behind him, as he struggled to get free from my grip. "Hey! Dawn! Put me down!" "Who said that it was me that lit up the magical aura?" I was joking around, looking a bit smugly as Spike frowned. "I can clearly see that it's your horn!" He tried to accuse me, but failed miserably. "No other can have that clear blue aura other than Night Light." "You're comparing me with him?" I faked a hurt expression. "You're hurting my feelings." "Cut it out!" Spike exclaimed in a medium voice. "Okay." Why not? I let Spike down, a bit harshly as he grunted in little pain from hitting the ground. He got up as he glared at me. "Not funny," he tried to look like he was sneering, but failed. I shrugged. "Nothing is like a good fun time, huh?" "That is not what I call fun," Spike scowled at me. "You could've hurt me, and Twilight would not like it." "He's right, you know," a voice suddenly joined in the conversation between us boys. I looked like I was faking innocently, but Twilight wouldn't buy it. She frowned at me for having a little fun with Spike. "What's wrong with you?" she questioned me. "Hey, can't a thirteen year old have some fun?" I gave her a small smile. "That isn't what I could call fun for Spike," she noted. "Clearly," I then gave a joke, "Maybe if I did it to you, I can get a break for today." "Hardy har," Twilight scoffed. "Not happening." "Aw," I joked around. "Can't I just get some fun in a while?" "After our lessons," she told me. I sighed irritably as the three of us walked into the dinner room near the kitchen for breakfast. As we sat at the table, Velvet, who was rather caring towards me, walked out of the kitchen as she put the food on the table, as my stomach growled a bit hungrily. "You can eat now," Velvet told us kindly. I didn't need to be told twice. I began to dig in the oatmeal as Twilight went for the sandwiches for now, whereas Spike dig in the pancakes that were also in the menu. We all, even Velvet and Night Light, ate together in silence, as I slowly ate my meal as I wouldn't want to choke myself. After breakfast, Velvet took the dishes as she went to the kitchen to wash them. I was in the living room, playing with something as Twilight got up to me, with expecting eyes as I sighed. "Right. Our lessons," I remembered. The two of us announced that we would be out for the day to Twilight's parents. They understood that I needed to learn how to utilize magic, as I was nowhere near compared to them. After coming to a perfect place Twilight thought she could teach me magic, I observed her as she was in thinking mood once again. Waiting patiently, I stood where I was as Twilight finally began lesson one. "First, we need to do something simple," she told me. "Can you lift a rock with your aura over there?" She pointed to an rather big rock with a hoof, which she would mean a boulder, actually. "Pfft. Easy," I said as I walked to where the boulder was, as I stood ready to utilize my magic on it. I concentrated my mind into my inner self, as an magical blue aura started to come out of my horn as the boulder also started to glow with a blue aura around it. Smirking in delight, I began to concentrate more on my magic as the boulder started to raise from the ground and to the air. However, as a boulder, I was having some trouble making it steady in midair as I started to struggle from holding my grip on it as I grunted. The boulder just landed on the ground again, harmlessly, as I panted a bit from using a bit magic and all just in order to lift it to the air. Twilight giggled as she noticed my struggle. "Ugh," I groaned. "This thing is harder than I thought it would be." "That's because you've never really used magic before, haven't you?" Twilight inquired. "No," I sighed as I shook my head to clear my thoughts. "I'll have to try again later." "Alright," Twilight nodded. "Next, lesson two." "I'm looking forward to this..." I grumbled. "You'll have to be able to use your hooves to combat other foes," Twilight instructed me. "Just imagine yourself hitting enemies by hitting the air." I tried to punch the air with a hoof, only to lose my balance as I fell to the side when I also tried to kick behind me. I heard Twilight sigh. "This will be harder than it would seem..." I heard her whisper out. "My point," I grunted as I got my balance again after standing back up. "Try to hit that boulder over there with your magic." Twilight pointed over to a boulder that was a few meters away from me. I smirked. "A piece of cake." I readied myself as I started to lit my horn up with my blue magical aura, just as an beam of blue was shot from the horn and hit the boulder dead-on in the middle of it. I was dumbfounded to see that only a crack fell down from it. "What...?" I was baffled. "What the heck?!" I growled as I charged my magic again, as another blue magical aura was shot from my horn and hit the boulder, harsher than the first time as I saw the boulder was now in pieces from the blast. Twilight sighed in exasperation when she saw that. "You don't need to use your anger just in order to destroy a rock," she told me. "Sorry," I apologized as I relaxed. "I was just so...how should I say it? Bewildered that it only received a single crack when I hit it with my normal magic power." "I understand," Twilight gave another sigh. "But, next time, restrain from using anger when concentrating on your opponents." "I will," I, myself, sighed afterwards. "We will take a break for today." Twilight announced. Really? That was quick. "Don't be so smug and happy about it, Dawn. Tomorrow, you'll get the same lessons again." "Who said I was being smug?" I questioned her. She only shook her head in exaggerate. I sighed. "Fine. I'll try to be more precise with them." "Good," Twilight gave a small, pleased smile as she looked up to the sun, noticing it was in the high afternoon already. "Wow. Time does move pretty fast when you're having fun." I looked up and saw the sun's midpoint as well. Huh. "Let's go back home and get something to eat, shall we?" Twilight asked me. "Let's." I gave her a nod of my head as we began to walk back home. The next couple of days should be interesting... 5. Friendship is Magic, Part 1Celestia's sun rose on the horizon, illuminating the land with brightness as the sun's circle was slowly rising. The blus sky had some white cloudy dots as decoration. Five years has passed since I arrived in this world. I've had a more wonderful time in Equestria than that of planet Earth. I was now an official member in the Sparkle family, living in their house as if I were their own - which I am now apparently - and was giving me more attention than my former human parents ever did. I was now seventeen, almost eighteen as my birthday is only one to two years away. Currently, I am walking to the palace in Canterlot as I was called by the Princess herself, who asked me for my presence to her for some reason. Trotting through the streets to the palace doors, I greeted a couple of nobles who, somehow, responded back to me with their own greetings. When I first came here, they either didn't respond my greetings, or wanted to let me play with their children. I have a soft spot for kids, let me tell you. I was now in front of the door to the throne room, somehow managed to get here quicker than expected. I sighed to relieve some of my negative thoughts, before opening the door with my blue colored magic and trotted into the room. "You wanted to see me?" I asked Celestia as I stopped a few centimeters from the steps of her throne. "Yes, Dawn," she nodded. "I wanted to tell you something privately." Celestia nodded for the guards to leave us in peace. The guards didn't respond, as they simply walked out of the room as it left only the Princess and I. I continued to stare at the Princess until she cleared her throat. "Dawn, this is something important," Celestia told me. "I want you to keep this only to yourself and Twilight, understand?" "I do, Princess," I nodded in understanding. I was now more openly to the Princess than my first meeting with her five years ago. I had also been a bit of a book-lover alongside Twilight, who insisted on me to learn the culture of this world before I had anything to do with it. Luckily, I was able to understand the Equestrian language rather easily, with me being pony myself, that is. Returning back to the present, I focused my blue eyes on the Princess as she began to speak once again. "Dawn, this is regarding a family member of mine," Celestia started. "My sister, Princess Luna, is coming back from an thousand year exile on the moon. She had been in a different and evil form from the time I was younger. Now, she's Nightmare Moon, an pony corrupted by darkness." "And, you want me to free her, right?" I asked straight ahead. "Straight to the point, huh?" Celestia chuckled warmly to me. "Yes. My sister is very dear to me, like Twilight is with you. You'll understand what I mean when you see Luna in her normal form once this is all over with Nightmare Moon." I was now in a thinking mood, like I am more every often. "I'll do everything in my strength to bring her back to you, Princess Celestia." I spoke respectfully to her. She smiled upon hearing that. "Thank you, Dawn. This means a lot to me." After my conversation with the Princess ended, I trotted out of the palace as I started my way home to Velvet and Night Light. I haven't decided to call them parents yet, as my old parents would be infuriated if I did that if they had met them. As I was making my way home, I met up with three other unicorns, whose names I had forgotten. "There you are, Dawn," one of them spoke to me. "Moondancer is having a bit of a get-together. You wanna come?" The other two smiled at that, but I was far from thrilled. "Sorry, girls," I apologized. "But, I have a lot of studying and preparation to do for another one. Catch you later!" I ran past them, as they mumbled to themselves which I heard. "Does those two do anything except studying?" "I think they're more interested in books than friends." I knew they were talking about my sister figure Twilight as well. As I continued to run, I slowed my pace as I came to a stop in front of my home, while meeting Twilight at the same time as I grinned upon seeing her. "Hey there, Twi," I greeted her. "Done with the reading?" "Yes," she nodded. "And, I see you're done speaking with the Princess." "Yup." My grin widened as the two of us started to see if the other could go in the door to the house quicker. Twilight won, of course. She barged straight into the door, causing a small familiar drake fall on his back. "Spike. Spike!" I shook my head at Twilight's call until she heard a groan. She looked down. "There you are." As Twilight ran up to the shelves, I helped Spike up on his two small feet. he thanked me before we looked at the purple unicorn as she searched through many books with her lavender aura. "No. No. No," she said in irritation before getting frustrated. "Ugh. SPIKE! DAWN!" "Over here," I took a book concerned about the prophecies and the legendary Elements. I had guided it over to Twilight as she smiled, thankfully as she took it with her own aura. As Spike and I was busy cleaning the books back up on their shelves, Twilight started to read aloud. "Elements. Elements. Elements," she began as she continued to look through the pages. "E. E. E. Here we are!" She had found the page she was looking for as I helped Spike with returning the books to their respective shelves. "It is said that, upon the thousands anniversary of the Summer Sun Celebration," the purple unicorn read aloud, "the mare of the moon will return and bring about eternal darkness." As I managed to help Spike when his stair was a few centimeters away from the bookshelf we were at, I took one of the books in his claws back into the shelf. He thanked me as I continued to help him with my magic aura. I suddenly heard Twilight gasp as she looked behind her to us from the corner of my eyes. "Spike. Dawn. Do you know what this means?" "No," we responded simultaneously as Spike fell down from the stair but landed on the purple unicorn's barrel as he grunted in small pain. Twilight held a quill and paper for him. "Take a note, to the Princess, please," Twilight spoke to Spike as he slid down from her. "Okie dokie!" Spike was ready to write. "My dear Princess." I saw Spike writing the first line. "My continuing studies of pony magic have led me to discover that we are on the precipice of disaster!" "Hold on." We looked at Spike as he struggled to write the last line. "Preci...preci..." "Threshold," Twilight said instead. Spike tried but looked confused. "Threh..." "Uh, brink?" Spike looked confused again. A groan escaped Twilight. "Ugh, that something really bad is about to happen!" Spike started to write it down on the paper. "For you see, the mythical Mare in the Moon is in fact Nightmare Moon, and she's about to return to Equestria, and bring with her eternal night! Something must be done to make sure this terrible prophecy does not come true. I await your quick respond. Your faithful student, Twilight Sparkle." "Twi...light...Spar...kle..." Spike wrote the last line on the paper. "Got it!" He was now done. "Great, send it," Twilight ordered. "Now?" "You mean, right now?" I added. "Of course," Twilight sighed. "Dawn, you know that Nightmare Moon and her eternal night is terrible. You've read the prophecy several times, haven't you? You could at least be more sensitive with me here." "Sorry," I apologized. "It's just...I sense something far more dangerous than Nightmare Moon." "It's alright," Twilight assured me. "There'll be nothing bad to happen." A belch caught our attention from our small conversation. "I'd knew she'd make an immediate action," Twilight said gleefully as Spike read the letter from Celestia. He cleared his throat before started reading. "My dear Twilight, there is more to a young pony's life than studying, so I'm sending you and Dawn to supervise the preparations for the Summer Sun Celebration in this year's location, Ponyville. And I have an even more essential task for you and Dawn, make some friends!" Our eyes widened as we sighed until two chariots arrived outside of our house as the three of us made our way out, taking one chariot each as the pegasi guards took off with the chariots. By being away from Canterlot from my five years of being adopted there, I was a bit afraid of Ponyville. What would they think if they saw an alien-turned-pony? Would they freak out, or worse, be knocked unconscious? The pegasi guards landed on the ground, as me, Twilight and Spike hopped off our respective chariots. "Thank you, sirs," I thanked the guards that were from my chariot. I trotted over to Twilight as I started speaking, "I'll have a look around myself. You may do the preparations." "But, the Princess specifically said in the letter that the two of us should be supervisors," Twilight protested. "Don't worry," I dismissed with a shake of my head. "I've got more important things to do here." "Alright then," she nodded as I trotted off somewhere in the town. I was trotting through the town of Ponyville, as I suddenly bumped into somepony. "Sorry. My bad," I apologized as I looked at the lime green unicorn that looked at me with wonder eyes. "It's nothing," she assured me. "Say, wouldn't you be the one who was a brother figure to the Princess' protégé?" "I am, not was," I reminded her. "Had been that for five years now." "Wow, that is something," the unicorn admired me. "Wasn't it tough, with the questions?" "Nah," I dismissed with a wave of my hoof. "I was kinda expecting it." "Is that so? Hm. Okay," the unicorn then asked, "Who are you, anyway?" "I'm Dawn," I introduced myself. "Dawn Darkness. A pleasure." I gave her a polite bow as she giggled. "No need to be formal, Dawn," she reminded me. "Sorry," I said. "Being raised in the capital city of Canterlot makes me just so polite and all." "You live in Canterlot?" she asked. "Mhm," I nodded my head. "Like before, for five years." "Wow," she was amazed. "Why don't you come with me to my place, Dawn? I might give you a snack for having a talk with me." "I'm sorry, but I've got a lot of things to do," I apologized, shaking my head. "Aw." She hung her head down in shame. "But, later, after the Summer Sun Celebration, I might," I reassured her. "Okay!" she exclaimed before trotting away from me, not long before saying, "See you later, Dawn!" "Later!" I waved my hoof to her in farewell. I continued to trot down the streets of Ponyville, feeling a bit more reassurance that the town isn't so bad after all. The citizens seemed calm, quiet, and sensitive unlike those snobbish nobles in Canterlot who demanded for respect and the like. I, again, didn't see where I was going as I bumped into someone once more. "Oof." I heard a grunt from a female as I looked at her. She had a brown and light coat, with a light blue tail and mane. "Sorry," I apologized to the female pony. She was an earth pony, as she didn't have an horn like that unicorn from before. "It's alright," she replied in a soft voice. She looked up and saw a blue unicorn pony as she just stared at me. "Um...who are you?" "Dawn. Dawn Darkness," I introduced myself, bowing respectfully as she chuckled in amusement. "No polite bowing, please." I obliged her wish as I smiled at her. "I know, living in Canterlot has made me such a polite pony after all," I smirked as she gasped. "You're from Canterlot?!" "Yes," I nodded. "Now, if you'll excuse me, I've got some things to do." As I started to trot away from her, she stepped in front of me as I eyed her. "Can I help you?" "If you're from Canterlot," she began. "Then, I must get you something for being such a gentlecolt. Come with me, please." She motioned for a nearby shop as I chuckled nervously. "I'm...not so much into shopping," I told her. "For many ponies, can get me quite stubborn if it's too much for me." "Oh," she hung her head. "Sorry, for trying to make you to shop with me." "No problem," I said with a toothy grin. "If anything, I might have somepony who might like it." "Really?" she asked in a 'sure' voice. "I think so." She shook her head at my words. I sighed. "Well, I'd better be off to somewhere, then." "See you later!" She waved a hoof as I trotted away from her until she was out of sight. As I continued to trot in Ponyville, I stumbled upon a lake where I saw an pegasi sitting by the edge of the lake, looking a bit down. I trotted up to her as I called out, "What's wrong?" She was startled by my voice as she turned her head to me as she lowered her gaze from mine. "Sorry. Didn't mean to startle you." I looked at her yellow form as I observed her look. She had a magenta mane and tail, while her eyes were a blue color. "Um..." she shyly began, looking away again. "Why are you looking at me like that?" My head tilted in confusion until I realized what she was referring to. "Oh. Sorry," I apologized politely. "I didn't mean to stre at you with your back behind." I looked away as an awkward silence came between us. She, too, was dead silent as we continued to have an awkward silent contest. I cleared my throat as I finally announced, "Well, I'd better be off. Don't wanna miss my schedule, would I?" She remained silent, as I awkwardly trotted away from her. Let's see. There was this one mare with the pegasi wings that should be clearing the clouds along with one named Rainbow Dash. I checked my preparation list as I looked up in the blue sky, seeing that the white clouds were still there. I heard a quick flap of wings, as I just barely managed to jump above the white blur that swooped under my very hooves. Landing safely on the ground, I stared at the white pegasus that should be responsible for clearing the clouds today. The white pegasus panted as she looked at nowhere with a bright smile on her face. "That was quicker than the other day." She sounded surprised with herself. "Excuse me." I saw her turn her head behind to look at me. "Are you the one who is supposed to be responsible for clearing the clouds for the Summer Sun Celebration?" "Your guess is correct!" she exclaimed. "The name's Starfire. Nice to meet ya!" "Star...fire...?" I whispered to myself before saying, "Well, you're a bit behind the schedule, because the Celebration's the day after today. Why are you even working out for something like that?" "Well," Starfire started before proclaiming: "I'm going to impress the Wonderbolts!" "Uh...the Wonderbolts?" I questioned, which I shouldn't had done. She gasped as she exclaimed, "You don't even know who the Wonderbolts are?!" I shook my head. She just stared at me in disbelief. "You're kiddin' me. The Wonderbolts are the greatest flyers in Equestria! And, someday, I'm going to be a Wonderbolt myself!" "How predictable," I said with a sigh. "There's also this mare called Rainbow who's a big fan and wants to be a Wonderbolt." "She is?!" Starfire gave a huge smile. "Then, it means I have an rival to see who can impress them more than the other can." "Anyway," I said. "About clearing the sky from the clouds?" "Yeah. Yeah." Starfire was now on a cloud as she seemed to be goofing off. "That'll be in a snap after I take a nap. I could do it within ten seconds." I quirked an eyebrow at that. "Really? I think that Rainbow is much faster and more quicker than you." And, she took the bait. Starfire glared at me in a challenging way. "Oh, yeah? Well, I'm more quicker than her." "Prove it," I challenged. Starfire got up from her cloud as she took off rather quicker than the speed of light as she popped the clouds away in a matter of low seconds as she returned to hover above me as I had my mouth aghast, generally shocked to see a mare that quick. "Ha!" Starfire laughed at my shocked state. "You should be seeing the look on your face. It's hilarious." Shaking myself out of it, I admitted, "Well, I didn't expect you to be that quick. Seven seconds? That's a new record for somepony to be faster than Rainbow Dash." "You know it, uh...your name?" She looked for clarification. "Dawn," I introduced myself. "Well, you know it, Dawn. See you later at the Summer Sun Celebration!" Starfire took off into town. I trotted along the path to a sugar shop called Sugarcube Corner as there's one more on the list before I am going to find Twilight. Just by hearing the name Sugarcube Corner, made my stomach want to eat the whole building. But, that's a real building, so no eating that, I guess. I trotted inside the shop, looking around at the inside of the building as I took in the sweets, guests and owners as I looked for a specific mare for preparing the food. Trotting over to the counter, I asked, "Do you know where I can find a mare named Ink Pie?" "Of course!" the mare in the counter nodded. "She should be at the library by now, preparing for a guest of honor or something." "I see. Thanks." I trotted out of the shop as I began my trek to the Golden Oak Library. I trotted in the town as I looked for the library, where Twilight would be at as I looked up to see the starry night was in the sky. Was I out for that long? It must be. I noticed Twilight in front of the library as she glanced at me with an expecting look as I gave her a small smile. "Where were you?" she asked me. "Sorry," I apologized. "Was busy with something." I was being honest. "You done with the preparation list?" "Yes," she nodded. "Man, was they also a bit irritating, Dawn. They wanted to make friends with me." "That's great!" I exclaimed, but soon fell quiet from her glare. "It's not great, okay?" she said in irritation. "They kept me from going to the library." "What's so special about the Golden Oak Library?" I wondered. "It has some books that we don't know in Canterlot," she told me. I shook my head as we trotted into the library with Spike. What greeted us, was utter darkness and silence as we tried to look around for the switch. "Spike, where's the switch-" Click... "SURPRISE!" We fell on our butts at the shouting as we were very shocked to see a library full of colorful ponies, all looking at us with smiles and grins as they stared at the two guests. I nearly had an heart attack by that. My heart nearly jumped out of me. Suddenly, two ponies was in front of us as they spoke so quick we couldn't understand them. "Hi!" the pink pony began. "I'm Pinkie Pie! I am the one who set this party up just for you! When I heard my sister spotting a new unicorn that was blue in color, I couldn't help feel so happy to know that we have newcomers to Ponyville! I just wanted to throw this party just for the two of you! Were you surprised?! Hh? Huh? HUH?!" "Very surprised!" Me and Twilight exclaimed at the same time. "And I nearly had an heart attack by you, dammit!" I snarled with a growl escaping my throat. The pink pony just smiled by my unnoticed growl and snarl. "You're welcome!" I just was aghast at the way this pony was in personality. She didn't take my small statement enough? What's up with her? "You must be Dawn!" the one who was Pinkie's sister exclaimed to me. "You must be from this unicorn's home, right?!" She was just as excited as Pinkie. Now, was I getting the feeling why the Princess would send us here in this crazy town. "That's...right..." I managed to breath out from my shocked state. "Yay! A new friend!" Ink happily shook my hoof roughly. "I was just dying for not getting a new friend! Luckily, you came along and I was just so happy!" "Hold on!" She didn't hear me properly. She almost took me with her until I was surrounded by lavender aura as I was levitated above ground, courtesy of Twilight coming to my rescue. "I'm sorry!" Twilight gave a brief explanation. "He's not very fond of making fast friends. As he says, interactions come first before making friends. That's just the way he is. So, we'll be off!" She quickly teleported us away from the body to an room somewhere in the library. Coming out of the teleportation, I landed safely on the ground as I sighed in major relief. "Thanks, Twi," I thanked her. "I was nearly, how should I say it, taken from you by that Ink pony." "No problem," Twilight sighed. "I'm just glad that I was able to teleport us into this locked room, which thankfully I locked before the ponies went crazy with their party." I sighed as the starry night soon turned to midnight as Twilight decided that, if Spike should inform us of Celestia's sunrise, then we'd better have the door open for him. Five more hours later, and the party was still going on as Twilight and I was in our beds as we tried to cover our poor ears from the loud music they were playing. After some time, Twilight groaned in frustration as did I from the music they was currently playing in the main hall. "Man, is this irritating," I grumbled, loud so that Twilight could hear my grumpy attitude. "Dawn? You alright?" she asked. "I'm not too good with this kind of music," I grumpily replied. "I can be more to other kinds of music except this kind." "I understand," Twilight nodded from her bed. She looked up into the starry midnight of the black sky as did I when I teleported myself up to her. Twilight pulled a book to us as she read it aloud, "Legend has it that on the longest day of the thousandth year, the stars will aid in her escape, and she will bring about everlasting night!" She looked at me as I glanced at her. "I hope Princess Celestia was right...I hope it's really an old pony tale..." Just then, the door opened as I covered my poor ears from the music. "C'mon, Twilight, Dawn! It's time to watch the sunrise!" Spike announced to us. We were now in the Town Hall, where all of Ponyville was within the large hall. I was shy, nervous and more quiet than I was the previous years living with Twilight as Pinkie and Ink jumped beside us. "Isn't this exciting?!" Ink started. "Are you two excited?" Pinkie added. "'Cause, we're excited. We've never been so excited...well, except for the time we saw you two trotting in town and I was"-a deep gasp-"but I mean really, who can top that?" A fanfare sounded, for my poor ears from the music earlier. I gritted my teeth as I was unprepared for that. The Mayor of Ponyville was on the stage as she started her announce. "Fillies and gentecolts, as mayor of Ponyville, it is my great pleasure to announce the beginning of the Summer Sun Celebration!" The cheering was loud, causing me to lower my head from my already deaf ears. "In just a few moments," the Mayor continued, "our town will witness the magic of the sunrise, and celebrate this, the longest day of the year! And now, it is my great honor to introduce you to the ruler of our land, the very pony who gives us the sun and moon every day, the good, the wise, the bringer of harmony to all of Equestria..." I tensed up, as Twilight and I were the only ones who noticed the face of a mare in the moon vanish. "...Princess Celestia!" The curtains opened, revealing...nopony. "This...can't be good," Twilight mumbled. The Mayor looked at everypony as she said, "Remain calm, everypony, there must be a reasonable explanation." "Ooh, ooh," Ink bounced from beside me. "I love guessing games! Is she hiding?" She looked around. "She's gone," the white unicorn on the platform above the stage called out as we all gasped. The Princess? Gone? Wha- "Ooh, she's good," Ink aid no heed t what's happening before she yelped. We all looked at the platform where the Princess of the Sun was supposed to be at, as a blue swirl started to form on it as the swirl turned into an pony. An alicorn pony, no less. She has a black coat, starry, floating mane and tail as well as sharp blue eyes. "Oh, my beloved subjects," Nightmare Moon began, whom I recognized from the pony tale Twilight read earlier. "It's been so long since I saw your sun loving faces." "What did you do to our Princess?!" Starfire demanded, attempting to fly at her, but was held by my blue magic. "Slow down, now," I told Starfire. "Don't cause a conflict." Nightmare Moon chuckled darkly. "What, am I not royal enough for you? Don't you know who I am?" "Ooh, ooh," Ink bounced up and down from her position. "More guessing games! Um. Hokey Smokes! How about...Queen Meanie! No. Black Snooty. Black Snooty-" I silenced her as well with a lip-zip spell, cutting her off. "Does my crown no longer count now that I have been imprisoned for a thousand years?" the Nightmare questioned. "Did you not recall the legend? Did you not see the signs?" "We did!" Twilight and I proclaimed loudly, making Nightmare Moon turn to us. I continued to where Twilight left off. "And we know who you are." I stomped a hoof down. "You're the Mare in the Moon. Nightmare Moon!" Multiple gasps of shock erupted within the Town Hall. The Nightmare chuckled darkly again. "Well, well, well. Someponies who remember me. Then you also know why I am here." "You're here to...to..." Twilight gulped, as I stared blankly at the black alicorn. Another chuckle. "Remember this day, little ponies, for this is to be your last. From this day forth, the night will last...forever!" She laughed evilly as her starry floating mane swirled above her as thunder cracked from it.
