The Final Attack

(Last Chapter)

I put my armor on and then, made my way around a small stage where I found Tia, Luna, and a couple guards there. [i}‘Waiting for me to get here, I suppose. I walked over to Tia who had just finished placing her golden armor and helmet so that she would be safe from harm, and it had been enchanted to protect her from magical attacks, in case something bad were to happen. We were a bit worried that maybe, somehow, the Changelings had found out that we’re doing this and could try to attack us from range. From what I know and heard, they like to aim for the head.

“You ready for this?” I asked Tia, she nodded.

“Yes I am Jerry. And to tell you the truth... I’m a little worried.” I knew what she was talking about. I was also a little afraid about what could happen. I mean, they could attack us right here, right now if they wanted to. I gave her a quick hug, but loving and reassuring hug, before I made my way past the curtains of the stage that I would be talking from. When I looked out I saw that the courtyard was packed with royal guards and servants. As I looked further back in the crowd, I saw the six mares that I had met before, were with a group of guards, with Shining armor in front of them with Twilight.

I walked up to the podium, this one almost looked like the one in Ponyville. When I stood behind it, there was a ‘microphone’ like object on the top for me to use. I tapped the mic so I can get their attention. I decided to start with the royal guards and volunteers.

“I would like to start with those who are risking their lives today.” I started. “To all the royal guards and volunteers, thank you. Thank you, for risking your lives to help keep Equestria safe and it’s subjects. I know that this will be dangerous and some of us might not make it back. Yes, I mean US, because I will be helping you. This battle... This fight to end all wars, shall be the last one ever fought. We have to win, not just for us, but for the future generations to come. For the foals, and those in which to come, may have foals of their own so that those who have died a week ago, can be remembered.” I let that linger in the wind for a little bit, as I remembered the events of that fateful day.

I will never forget what happened... The first time I had to kill. The day that Blackbell was taken from Tia and me. I forced myself to look up, I looked around the crowd and saw that most of them had their heads down in despair or trying to comfort those who had lost loved ones. I even saw Farcry among them. I continued talking to the large crowd of ponies.

“If we lose, their sacrifices would have been in vain. Now I know what it’s like to lose loved ones and see those whom you care about, die or be forcefully taken from you. So let this be the last time that we have to fight to the death against the threats of Equestria.” As I finished, somehow I could see that the royal guards and volunteers faces light up with determination and with some moral gained. I even saw Shining Armor a few guards give a salute. I then thought of the armor and weapons that we will be using. They had to be made by somepony so I thought I should address the servants.

“Now of course, there are some ponies that we should thank, for what they did for us, making these armors and weapons. The ponies who spent all day and night making us what we need to survive and to fight.” I looked around and saw the surprised faces of the servants and those who had made what we're wearing.

“To the servants and civilians of Equestria. Without you, there wouldn’t even be an Equestria, or even an army to protect it.” I could see faint smiles starting to form on most of their faces. I looked up at the sky and saw that the sun, the sun that Tia was trying so hard to keep in the sky, was already close to the horizon, with purple, red-ish, and pink-ish hues starting to form. I let out a sigh as I tried to think of what to say. Then something came to mind.

“I want to say one last thing. I know that very soon we will have to attack where the enemy is hidden. Though, some of you... might not survive. So right now is the best time for anypony here, to leave right now, either you are with the guard or volunteers.” I said as I looked out at all the ponies who stood infront of me. They could choose to leave and stay safe or stay and help fight. Nopony would think differently of them if they would leave.

We all stood there for a couple minutes not a sound being heard besides the occasional gust of wind and the sun high in the sky beaming down onto us.

“Alright then. For those who are staying gear up and get ready. We move in ten minutes. Last time to say goodbyes for those who might not make it.” Then right when I finished I stood firm at attention and had my right hand got into a full salute hand only inches from my head. All the guards did the same hooves going close to their heads as they saluted.

“May Equestria forever live and prosper no matter what happens here today! Long live Equestria!”

“Long live Equestria!” They all yelled and with that we stopped saluting and went on to our last ten minutes before the real fighting would take place. I turned and made my way to Tia. She looked like she had so much fear in her eyes and she was visibly shaking. I just did what came to mind. I just made my way to her quickly and put my arms around her tightly. She just let out a shaky sigh and wrapped her forelegs and wings around me tightly her head resting against my chest.

We stayed that way for maybe five or so minutes before I pulled away.

“I’m scarred Jerry.” She said.

“Hey your not the only one. But we have to do this in order to get Blackbell back and to bring back peace to Equestria. To finally have things go back to normal....before I arrived.” I said. I guess thats when she realized that I was blaming myself for all of what was happening. I mean if a sane pony would have the time to think about it then they could figure out that ever since I arrived things have gone to hell. From the incedent with Shining Armor to this war that was happening now. I know that war has never happen in the last thousand years. Not until I arrived at least. She just let out a sigh as she placed one of her forehooves against my cheek.

“Jerry....you think this all happened because you arrived? Well don’t think that at all ok? Because if it wasn’t for you what else could’ve happened? I mean Shining Armor could still be cursed, Blackbell would never have been born, Luna would be Nightmare Moon again, and the Changelings would’ve taken Equestria by now. So Jerry for all the bad you THINK you caused think of all the good things you managed to do. So without you we would all be lost right now.” She ended with a smile before she pressed her soft lips against mine. I just closed my eyes a small smile creeping on my lips as we kissed. She pulled away from the kiss. She pressed her forehead against mine as we looked into each other's eyes.

“You really know how to make a guy feel better before a major battle.” I said in some weird humor. She just chuckled.

“Yeah...yeah I guess I do.”

“Well its time. You ready to go fight and save Blackbell Tia?” I asked. She nodded.

“As long as i’m with you yes I am.”

We arrive on top of a hill overlooking where Discord and Queen Chrysalis are hiding. I looked to my left and right and saw the whole Equestrian army we have brought. To my right was Shining Armor along with what seemed like hundreds of pegasus Royal guards behind him flying mid air. Then I looked to my left that had Tia in her golden armor covered completely and Luna beside her in her Dark blue Armor. Beside them was another seeming huge army of Royal Guards beside them as well. I then looked back down the hill which seemed to only be slightly steep.

“DISCORD!” I yelled as I took out the sword that was on my right side and it made the noise you would hear when it came out of its sheath. I held it in my right hand as it was at least a foot and a half long. Through training I have taken a while ago the blade wasn't that heavy. Almost on cue the other ponies did the same either using their mouths or magic for some. In unison they all took out their blades.

“DISCORD SHOW YOURSELF!” Tia yelled as loud as she could in her canterlot voice. Then just as she said that there was a large flash making us all shield our eyes. When we reopened them we saw the whole Changeling army with Discord and Queen Chrysalis both standing in front of the army and neither had any sort of armor on them. To tell the truth that was when fear took me over a little bit. I never thought we would be going against this many changelings. The army stretching as far as the eye could see. But that didn't stop me from my goal. I looked at Shining Armor who looked back and nodded with a grin. I looked at Tia and Luna as they did the same. I let out a long sigh to try and control my heart beat. I looked down at the army ahead glaring at Discord as he looked back smiling like nothing bad was gonna happen. I lifted my sword high in the air then pointed it forward straight at Discord.

“CHAAARRRGGGEEE!” I yelled as I ran forward down the hill the Equestrian army close behind. The sound of a thousand galloping hooves smashing against the ground rumbling. All of us now just screaming at the top of our longs as we headed for the final battle. The changeling army charging at us making their wings buzz like bees. Discord leading them like I was leading mine. With both sides charging it took only seconds for us to be mere inches from one another. That’s when Discord and I swung our weapons forward me using a sword him using his lion claw. They met in a clang as the battle started.

That’s what woke me up from the memory like dream. I slowly sat up in the bed looking to my right where Tia was sleeping soundly and I looked to my left and saw that Blackbell was laying in her crib sound asleep as if what happened never occurred. I let out a happy sigh. Equestria was now at peace....and forever it shall stay that way.

Ok guys I wanna say that this was a LONG fic and crazy adventure for me. Now for those of you raging this is NOT the last you will hear of this family. I will continue it in a new fic called "The Blackbell Chronicles" so I hope you guys can wait for that fic. Lastly if you guys want me to make a chapter of the fight scene.....you will just have to wait guys and the reason why I haven't uploaded in so long is because I had other things( Like Farcry 3 and other games) plus school got in the way. Plus some of it is UNEDITED! CYA YALL NEXT TIME! Plus my BIGEST thanks to Bronyboy777 because without him this would have NEVER happened.
