Twilight’s family vacation had came to an pleasing end, end though Twilight never had the chance to hang out with her kin. The highlight of the whole trip was her meeting a pony named Star Tracker, who wanted a chance to hang out with her. He had his chance, but it was under an unpleasant circumstance. His hoof was stomped by the the once frustrated princess, whose judgement was clouded. She did apologize afterwards for lashing out at him, and thus she and Star did have a fun time hanging out with her. She was willing to accept him to be an honorary member to her family for a day, although the opportunity wasn’t backed up.
As soon as the rest of the guests exited the ship, Twilight and her family were the last ones to depart in order to grab their stuff. Star, who also stayed on the cruise, decided to help Twilight and her family pack up.
“Star Tracker, you have been so helpful as an honorary member.” Cadance approached.
“It was nothing.” He replied, awkwardly.
“Believe us,” Velvet added. “You’re always a family member in our book.”
“And, it’s really a shame that we’re not going to see each other for a while.” Night Light replied.
“Awww! I know I’m going to miss all of you.” He smiled.
“It’s okay. Us too.” Shining Armor pulled Star into a big hug, with the rest of the family joining in as well. They then let go with a smile.
“Don’t you want to talk to our princess? You know we’re going to be away for awhile. Tomorrow isn’t promised” Velvet reminded. He saw Twilight brushing Flurry Heart’s teeth in the bathroom. Star was thinking about helping her out, but he learned to give Twilight some space.
“It’s fine. I should really gather my things.” He replied before getting his supplies. Twilight actually heard what her family and Star were talking about, and thought that she could try talking to him one more time. After being defended from Iron Will, she saw grateful, and wanted to express it to him.
“That was the most excited cruise ever!” Night Light exclaimed.
“Flurry really had a fun time, right?” Cadance said with a giggle after seeing her baby fly around her with glee.
“She sure did,” Armor nodded, trying to keep his composure together. “When we get back to our kingdom, can we go to a hospital? I’m still a little air sick.”
“Sure.” Cadance answered, leaning by her husband’s side.
As soon as everyone left and said their goodbyes, Twilight turned around and saw Star taking his things and walking down the deck. Star noticed that the princess stood there, looking at him with a serious and sweet look on her face. It wasn’t long before she got closer to him first.
“Did you had a great time hanging out with my family for one day?”
she asked.
“Of course.” He nervously uttered. “I’m sorry for getting close to you too much. It’s just that I have this habit of getting close to special ponies. Also, this was just a once-in-a-lifetime chance for me to see you.”
Twilight nodded with concern. “When I was a filly, I had idols that I really wanted to become closer to. Everyone desperately wants to meet somepony they dream of in their lifetimes. However, it still feels very unpleasant to be that close. In fact, everypony has their personal boundaries.”
“Yeah, I know. Still, I’m sorry for being out of control most of the time.” Star looked at the ground feeling guilty.
“Don’t worry about it. Just try to be more careful next time, okay? Twilight spoke before Star nodded. It was then she looked down at his hoof.
Does your hoof still hurt?” she asked.
“Not much. Well, it’s just a little tender.” he lifted his hoof before looking at Twilight. “Am I going to see you again?”
“Probably not. I’m still a princess and I have friends who pretty much missed me ever since I left Ponyville.” Twilight shrugged.
“How can your friends miss you after just one day?” he wondered.
“Pinkie Pie.” She answered with a giggle. “Trust me, she already misses me when I leave Ponyville.”
Star raised his eyebrow. “Your friends are really that Important?”
“Of course…,” she nodded. “I know today didn’t last forever but… You can be my friend… and even if we will never get the chance to hang out again, we can still be friends.”
Twilight walked closer to him, which causes Star to back up. His face showed a light blush.
“Umm… Twilight... I thought you wanted personal space.” he wondered, but Twilight continued to walk towards him. Star got slightly confused since he never thought that Twilight would stand so close to him on a whim. It wasn’t long before he was up against the deck wall.
“Look, if there’s anything you want me to repay you I can give you some ice cream, or anything!” Star bargained. It was then, much to his dismay, Twilight slowly leaned in slowly to him.
“I’m happy that we had a fun loving vacation on the cruise but I feel like I should be-” he spoke nervously. But, he was cut off when Twilight gave a kiss on his cheek. During that moment, his eyes shot wide open and his face was quickly reddened. He never expected Twilight to give him something that unexpected, let alone a kiss. When Twilight pulled away, Star blushed hard and his legs shook.
“I really hope that we will meet again. “You’re a really good colt, Star Tracker.” Twilight giggled as she walked off to her castle, waving to Star, who still stood in place. He then slowly smiled after the kiss he received from Twilight to the point he wishes he can meet her in the future again. Star realized that he became a honorary member to Twilight’s family. He shook himself from his slight trance, and smiled as he looked to the princess’s castle with a smile. Sure enough, all of his nervousness was slightly gone.
