It had been an hour since Celestia had left the castle to go back to her own. Chrystal Hoof still had not made any progress in finding a place to stay.

"Do you have any friends who live in Ponyville?" asked Spike

"Not that I know of." Chris replied.

"Do you have any friends?" Twilight asked "Besides Celestia and Luna."

"Does Lyra Heartstrings still live in Canterlot? She always talked about moving here, but I doubt she had time to move." Chris replied.

"Oh, you know Lyra. She lives here maybe 'she' would like the company." Twilight said with a smug look on her face,

"Ha ha, very funny. S, she really lives here in Ponyville?" Chris asked looking surprised.

"Yeah I can show you her place if you want. Spike can you go around and try to find Lyra? She might not be home, she almost never is." Twilight said as they turned at Sugarcube Corner.

"Is it alright if-" Twilight cut him off.

"Yes, Sweetie Drops can come if she's with Lyra."

"Okie-dokie." Spike said as he headed off.

"Almost there Chris. Hey, how do you know Lyra?" Twilight asked. "If it's not too personal."

Chris hesitated for a moment then said,"I knew her back in Canterlot, but I can't remember too much of what we did together. Or how we met It's all to hazy. What I told you is what I can remember."

Twilight thought 'strange how can he not remember too much of his own friends' a voice broke her train of thought.

"Twilight, Twilight Spike said you wanted to speak about something. Of course, he didn't tell me what you wanted to talk about." She was a light blue pony with white and silver hair and tail and her cutiemark was a yellow harp. She caught sight of Crystal Hoof and dashed towards him and hugged him at once.

"Oh, Chris I missed you." Lyra said happily "Come in right now. I won't take no for an answer." Chris and Twilight followed Lyra inside. "So, Twilight what did you want to talk about?" Lyra asked.

"I actually wanted to talk about him." Twilight replied and continued,"So first off, how do you know each other?"

"We actually met back when I still lived in Canterlot, in the courtyard."Lyra said,"Remember that Chris?"

Chris replied,"Sorry, I don't."He said sadly.

"Well, that's not exactly new." Lyra continued,"First thing I noticed was that cape-"

Chris cut her off,"You said it looked funny."He said smiling.

Twilight and Lyra looked at him shocked.

"Was it something I said?" Chris asked looking from Lyra to Twilight and back again.

"It's exactly that. I thought you couldn't remember anything." Twilight said starting to look more confused than shocked.

"I thought that to. But then, I said it and started to remember what happened." said Chris still looking at their faces.

"What else do you remember from that day?" Twilight asked.

"I can remember that we started to talk, Lyra said that she liked that I wasn't as stuck-up as everypony else in Canterlot."

Lyra chimed in, "Then, he started to get hungry and said he was going to go to Cadence's house."

Chris continued,"I don't think that Cadence liked me bringing a stranger to her house without asking. But, everything turned around when I introduced them and they started talking and giggling. A couple of times I thought they were talking about me when they started to whisper. Of course, they both denied it."

"Okay that question is answered, the next question I have is a bit more in the now." Twilight said and continued, "Is it okay with you, Lyra, If Chris can stay here for a little while. Celestia wants him to stay in Ponyville."

Lyra looked happier now,"Of course he can."

"I'd rather not bother your peaceful life Lyra."

Lyra replied,"It won't bother me at all. If anything my life is a little too peaceful."

"I... I can't. I don't want to put anypony in danger it's best if I find my own place."said Chris trying to make-up a reason to not stay.

"How are going to put anypony in danger?" Twilight asked.

"You haven't told her yet?" Lyra asked.

"Told me what?" Twilight said demanding an answer.

"I never wanted to say this but, Queen Chrysalis wants my magic on her side." He said looking down neither looking happy nor sad.

"That settles it your staying in the protection of my castle." Twilight said with a straight face,"That is a royal decree."

"Are you sure, trust me Chrysalis will do anything to get me on her side."

"Yes!" Twilight said sternly
