Note: This story uses the character of "Dashiel," the Rainbow Dash from the Crystal War (aka War Dash) from my Twilight Learned story.

Dashiel has been through a lot. A soldier who was involved in nearly every major conflict of the Crystal War and found love on the battlefield, only to have her wife die in her hooves at the very end of the war. Now exiled to Twilight Sparkle's gentler, more peaceful Equestria, the maimed pegasus continues to struggle with survivors guilt and the memories of all she saw and did as a soldier during years of total war.

Perhaps, in a ceremony of remembrance, she might find a quantum of solace.
