The Raven Black Spiritby Viper PitChaptersThe last flightThe Raven RisesThe Ravens RevengeEpilogueThe last flightThe sky was a light gray, the wind was cold as it rushed past her wings. She had walked a few good minutes to the corner stalls in this small town. Her adoptive father, a cruel ma-stallion, had ordered her to get more liquor and some food. She would’ve said no, but he was bigger than her in the weight area, so he could easily hurt her if she dared to refuse. Though, now that she wasn’t closeto his horrid smelling house, she could scoff and rant about how bad he was... though that didn’t matter, most ponies here didn’t really believe her because of her diet. Who might this mare be? Well, this was no ordinary mare. This was a human, a human female named Raven that found herself displaced in a world of pastel-colored horses, or, as they call themselves, ponies. She was displaced here at the young age of 10, that was also when she was adopted by her new family. Things were rough for Raven given that ponies seem to age faster than her or at least mature faster when they got their cutie marks, but she would never get one herself. her mother was kind and loving, her father, well, before he wasn’t too bad, still an alcoholic, but not as bad as he is now since mom left them. But, she did have a younger brother, who joined the police force and helped ponies with their day to day problems. However, both he and mom left her with dad after a big argument, her father blamed her for it... She shook her head, trying to think of positive thoughts, as her friends! While she was younger, she used to mess around in the wheat fields by an old looking barn. One day, she was discovered by a blue pegasus named Frost Bite who worked in the fields. She thought she would get punished for messing around, but the stallion let her go with a warning. At school, she met her other friend, Silver Flame, a kind and generous mare who stood up for her. One day, she heard the news of Silver falling into the wheat field and she worried for her safety. Yet, like the mare she was, she brought out a new friend, the stallion who helped her. Raven was a rather hopeful young lady, always happy to help others in their time of need and often like to joke that she and her friends were the same flocks has given they all had wings and saying things like the birds of a feather flock together, the early bird catches the worm and many more bird jokes. Yet one thing ponies could not understand, lest they were very close to her, was that she was near scared to DEATH by simply bumping into a pony by accident. This seemed like a crippling fear to have. Barely anypony knew that the true reason behind this deathly fear of accidental touching or upsetting anypony stemmed from her household father and his "less than nice ways" of dealing with small issues. Now that pleasantries are out of the way on to what Raven is currently doing which is going to the store to get more beers for her dear old dad. She still loves her dad with all her heart and by pony standers she was of legal to buy the whiskey but she never dare touch the stuff herself lest she feel more of her fathers, special love, like the back of his hoof, sometimes it was a belt or a paddle on her ass and other times it was much worse it, lets just say Raven is just lucky she isn't pregnant and leave it at that. She paid for her father's whiskey and left and she decided to fly home to save time as it was starting to get late. She was not a very good flier given she rarely ever had time to practice but she can fly short distances with little to no issue Raven just as long as she didn't go to high or to fast. Upon landing at her house and went inside to only be greeted by a bottle just missing her head and smashing into the wall behind her. Raven's father was in his lazy boy drinking away like always. "I'm home," Raven said as she set the whiskey down on the coffee table and got to work picking up the mess her father made while she was gone. "Yer late ya, Whore." Her father slurred as he downed his current bottle before tossing it on the floor. " When yer done, Ah need ya to unclog the toilet." He then reached for the new bottle of whiskey and downed some only to spit it back out. "DA HELL IS THIS PISS." He yelled causing raven to flinch. "It's what the store had, dad, I'm sorry," Raven said as she on her hands and knees and braced for the oncoming beating. "Yer not sorry not yet anyway." Her father said as He kicked her hard enough to put her through a wall. "Now look at what yer ass made me do." His drunken rage only mounted as he pulled Raven out of wall her cries in pain going unanswered. "Yer gonna pay fer this as well." He then slammed her on the ground and then stomped on a wing breaking it instantly. "I'm sorry, I won't make the same mistake again." Raven desperately pleading her cries for mercy at her father over and over again as she endured the relentless beating. It wasn't the first time her father did this to her and she was ready to crawl to the hospital again when her father got tired but this time was different her father didn't stop. "Ah Thought Ah told you aren't sorry 'til Ah was through with yer ass." Her father breathed heavily as he kicked her again. He then got it in his head to rip off her good wing, so he grabbed it and started pulling. Ravens Eyes widened in horror when she realized what her father was doing. He was going to take away the one thing that helped her stay hopeful. Her wings or more specifically her ability to fly. "NO! PLEASE I'LL BE GOOD. PLEASE DON'T TAKE MY WINGS" She pleaded, but once again her pleas went unanswered as her father kept pulling and pulling. The pain was becoming too much for Raven to handle. Soon the wing was dislocated and blood was starting to come out of Ravens back as her Father kept pulling. "Ah'm gonna make sure that yer ass never flies again." Her fathers voice strained clearly pulling her wing was a lot more work then he had anticipated but his drunk ass was stubborn and he kept pulling all while his daughter pleaded for him to stop even going as far as to offer her self to him again but he was having none of that he wanted that wing off her back even if it killed her, and at this rate it will. Soon flesh was tearing and Raven passed out from the pain shortly after. Without Raven struggling so much the Pulling became easier for Her father who laughed as tendons snapped and Blood poured from her back and with one more mighty pull the wing was off and He was laughing triumphantly while his daughter was lying on the floor with a massive hole in her back and clear view of her non-beating heart. Tossing the now free wing to the side her father grabbed the piss whiskey and downed some more of it. " When Ya wake up Ya need to clean this place up." The stallion said as he got back in his lazy boy and fell asleep completely unaware of what he had truly done to Raven. The Raven RisesThree fillies who each have their own eccentric personalities and goals were sitting in their clubhouse setting up to try and get their cutie marks in...something to do with spirits; whether it would be in summoning them, talking to them or even helping them move on whatever the case may be those three fillies were going over the last of the things they needed. "Magic chalk?" An orange pegasus with tiny wings and purple mane and tail asked as she read from a checklist. "Check." Said a light yellow earth pony. She had a red mane and tail but she also had a pinkie bow in her mane. "Scented candles?" The filly pegasus asked again. "Check." Squeaked a white unicorn. She had a pink and purple mane and tail. The color was split down the middle with the pink on the left and the purple on the right. "Spirit talking board thingie?" "You mean an Ouija board Scootaloo." Said the unicorn earning a light glare from her friend. " Yeah, whatever it's called a dictionary." The pegasus now known as Scootaloo said earning a jab by her earth pony friend." Hey, what was that for Applebloom." Scootaloo says. "That was fer messing calling Sweetie Belle a dictionary just cause she knows a lot of stuff," Applebloom says in defense of her friend "Yeah!" Sweetie Belle joined in. "I can't help that you don't study." The fillies all glare at each other for a moment before simultaneously laughing. "I'm sorry sweetie belle I didn't mean it when I said you were a dictionary." Scoots said as she and sweetie belle hugged. "Apology accepted scoots." Sweetie Belle said as they separated. "Now what's left on the list?" "Let's see the ritual capes and a piece of the dead pony we are trying to summon." Scootaloo read. All three Fillies shivered at that last one. "Ah got the capes," Applebloom said as she pulled them out. They were white with a red interior. "And I got the feather." Sweetie Belle said as she used her magic to lift it so none of them would have to touch it. Applebloom looking a little more green then yellow given where they found it a decomposing wing they found in the woods. She vomited on the spot. The wing was way too large to be a bird's so it had to of most likely come from a pony "Ah think Scootaloo should say the incantation since this was her idea," Applebloom said with Sweetie Belle nodding in agreement. "Yeah, fine whatever let's just hurry and see if we get our cutie marks," Scootaloo said which got the other two to hurry and put on their capes and draw the circle with the candles as a sort of guideline in the center of the circle they put the feather and while Applebloom and Sweetie Belle did that Scootaloo was going over the spell a few times to make sure she got it down otherwise the Spirit they could summon could take control of her body even if it was only temporary. "Ready, everypony?" Scootaloo asked as she took her seat in at the top of the circle with Sweetie Belle on her right and Applebloom on her left. Both of her friends gave her a quick yet nervous nod. "Alright, let's join hooves." "Wait!" Sweetie interrupts "Why did we bring the Ouija board if we don't need it?" "Yeah, I was wondering the same thing?" Scoots said as she rubbed her chin. "Ah thought it would add to the atmosphere." Applebloom huffed as the others nod in agreement. "Yeah, that makes sense now let's join hooves." Scoots hold out her hooves and the three of them join hooves. "Now no matter what happens don't let go." Scootaloo then looks at Sweetie Belle with a stern look. "I mean it Sweetie otherwise we could have a spirit very mad at us." "I won't let go... sheesh," Sweetie said with a roll of her eyes and with that Scootaloo began chanting. "Spirit, we summon thee to the realm of the living." The wind picked up as Scootaloo continued. At first, it was brief and light that it would have been easily ignored, however, each word Scootaloo said caused the wind to grow slightly. "We wish to know about thee and how thee is doing." A small tornado began to form in the center of the fillies lifting the feather as it began to glow. "We can like to hang out and stuff and I can show you cool tricks on my scooter." if it wasn't obvious Scootaloo forgot the words she was supposed to say and her friends were more worried about the fact that whatever scoots was doing it was working because the spirit is being summoned and it was a tall one. When Scootaloo finished chanting, there in the middle of the three fillies was a tall, well tall compared to them anyway. skinny figure with white skin bright blue eyes, black hair, and single black wing, The figure also had on a dress that was Raven black with a single glove that goes up to the elbow. She looks down at the fillies who were clearly stunned at what they had summoned. The figure takes a deep breath and speaks in a cold monotone voice "Hello, young ones. My name is Raven and why did you call me?" Applebloom nearly breaks the hold due to can't believing that they actually did and is laughing like a hyena, Sweetie Belle is admiring her dress and wondering if its made out of satin or silk. But it was Scootaloo who worked up the courage to speak. "We were trying to get our cutie marks in ghost n stuff ya know?" Raven chuckles. It's not an evil chuckle but a polite one to help the fillies calm down some and it seemed to of done the trick as Applebloom stopped laughing and Sweetie Belle had determined that yes the dress was in fact made of silk. Why Sweetie's mind focused on the dress was more than likely fear but she was the next to speak. "I-I-l-like your d-dress, R-Raven," Sweetie said with a semi-forced smile. "Thank you for the compliment," Raven says in the same voice even though the fillies could tell she meant it. "What's wrong with yer voice?" Applebloom asked and just for a moment, the air lost all warmth as the wind picked up getting the fillies to shiver. "What the hay was that." "I'm sorry to have scared you but someone I knew when I was alive had a similar accent and he was not a very nice stallion," Raven reassured yet her voice somehow got colder towards the end of her sentence. "Ah'm sorry tah hear that, Ms. Raven." Applebloom was now suddenly not so keen on talking anymore. "It's alright if anything I should apologize for I did not mean to scare you," Raven said with a small smile. " The truth is I always loved foals they are so cute, happy and innocent." " I'm not cute I'm awesome" Scoots protested earning another round of giggles from everyone. "Any way the book we got never said anything about what to do after we summoned you." "Yeah, that is true." Sweetie Belle confirmed but another question popped into her mind. "Why is your voice so bland umm no offense." "its because the cute orange one didn't summon me correctly and as such left me unable to express emotions the same way as you three." Scootaloo complained about not being cute but Raven ignored her and continued." It also has to do with the fact that I am not whole for I was not buried in one piece and from the looks of this ritual you have found that piece." "Umm, why are you telling this to us?" Sweetie Belle asked a little confused. "Because I want to be whole once more so that I may have hope, however, faint it might be," Raven stated flatly getting the CMC to look at each other with concerned looks. " I can give one of you a Cutie mark but their will be a cost." The Three fillies listen intently to the spirit. "I can only give one of you a mark and for that I must merge with the one you decide." Applebloom looked like she was about to say something but a sudden shout caused the fillies to jump and let go. "APPLEBLOOM, SUPPERS READY." Applebloom's brother hollered from outside the clubhouse. "OH NO!" All three fillies exclaimed as Raven disappeared and Big Mac screamed in fear and pain, getting the three of them to look out the window too see Raven just beating the hell out of Big Mac and she made it look easy because Big Mac as the name suggests is not small. "What are you doing to ma brother," Applebloom begged for an answer with a frightened tone as she and her friends rushed over to the pair. "Why, it's simple, Applebloom. I'm going to make every stallion pay for what they did to me and he just happens to be the first." As Raven spoke the wind began to howl and roar causing the trees to bend and shake. She then stopped hitting Big Mac and he began to crawl away. He did not look good with two broken legs a black eye and a small hole in his back " Or you could like not do that," Scootaloo said her friends rapidly nodding in agreement. "Then make me whole again and I'll stop," Raven announced before she flapped her one unbroken wing and flew off to the sky to head towards to an unknown location. After a brief and uncomfortable moment of silence, the girls stared at one another to digest the information at what just happened. Sweetie Belle opened her mouth and said with a worried tone. "Girls, we are so in trouble when our families hear about this." The Ravens Revenge"Not cool, Bra. So not coo..." A brown unicorn stallion said before he no longer had a head and his soul had whisked away into the afterlife. Raven simply walked past the body as she attacks continued on the small town of Ponyville. The mares soon realizing that this attacker had been only targeting stallions caused them to act to protect them because stallions are in high demand after all. Well, the acting to protect them quickly stopped when Raven blew them all away literally. "Stop You don't have to do this." A Purple alicorn tried to reason as she avoided looking at the bodies that Raven was leaving in her wake. She was trying to distract Raven while her friends got the stallions to safety. The key word being trying. "That is where you are wrong I will have my revenge on all the stallions for it was a stallion that ended my life," Raven said as she sent a blast of air at a light blue pegasus stallion who is to fly away. he dodged the attack only for Raven grab one of his wings and pull the feathers off in a single pull kinda like pulling leaves off of a branch. Raven then tossed him to the ground. The stallion was thankfully caught by the alicorn. "What do you mean a Stallion ended your life you look very alive to me." The alicorn shouted as he teleported the injured stallion to safety. "I am only able it interact with the living world thanks to the mana of my summoners I have in fact died nearly two hundred years ago." Raven was getting tired of this mare. The look on the mares told Raven this was news to her." Why are you surprised none of your attacks have phased me even in the slightest." "It's because whoever did summon you is clearly evil." The alicorn concluded. Raven chuckled. "What's so funny?" "I was summoned by three fillies trying to get their own Cutie Marks they had found a feather of mine and used it as a catalyst to summon me," Raven informed the alicorn. "And if you wish to stop me wouldn't be wise to give me your name so I have something to call you by." "Fillies summoned you?! How could Fillies..." The alicorn pauses for a moment then." I'm so telling their parents about this well assuming she doesn't kill them first." She turned her attention back Raven who is waiting patiently for her answer. "My name is Twilight Sparkle." "Well, Twilight my name is Raven and now you are annoying me, so turn back to your home and I will kill you," Raven said her voice as cold and empty as ever if not more so. "Don't you mean 'or' you'll kill me?" The alicorn asked Raven, which only returned with an annoyed expression. "Ohoho, You heard what I said." She replied with a mischevious grin that can only be compared that to the evilest magical beings in Equestria. Twilight's body began to tremble in fear. She tried her best to compose herself as to not show any weakness that Raven might use against her. One false action would lead to a horrific disaster around their surroundings. "Please stop I know that you're upset that you were killed but you shouldn't take it out on others." She tries to reason but again her words fall on deaf ears as Raven kills another stallion this one was what you could argue still a colt having only recently gotten his cutie mark about two months ago. "Whoever killed you is long dead so please stop." Twilight despite knowing that her words won't reach Raven she can at least buy time until her friends give all clear., "Yes, I know that my father is dead. He, in fact, died the week after he killed me. Bastard got an ironic death due to two alcohol poisoning. Just saying that was freakin' hilarious" Raven let out a malicious chuckle which sent out a gentle yet ominous breeze to find more stallions in the area. "Tell me Twilight do you know what it's like living in fear that every little action you take will get you beaten half to death or worse," Raven asked as she continued her search. The question caught Twilight off guard for a moment. "No, I don't and I hope nopony ever does." Her answer was true and straight from the heart which was good as if she were lying then Raven would have struck her down on the spot. Twilight then put it together Ravens had the worst kind of pony in her life. It would certainly explain her hatred of stallions. "But surely you had a couple of male friends growing up right?" "I only ever had two friends and one was indeed a stallion but he was often cold and distant I don't think he meant to be but he just was." At this point, Twilight had succeeded in her distraction because Raven was no longer walking. Distracting is one thing defeating is another entirely different challenge altogether and they both knew that. Things where tense for Twilight she had succeeded in one of her goals and now she had to wait for her friends to show up so they could hopefully used the elements of harmony on Raven. On Ravens end, she was waiting for this mare's friends to arrive because it would mean that all the stallions would be in one place and she knew where that place was thanks to her wind. "Look I'm sorry for your life but why don't you just move on to the light that's something that ghost do right?" It was clear that Twilight was out of her element here. She was a mare of science and magic not religion tho she was starting to regret not going to the church of the sun when she was younger. "I can not for my soul is not compatible with this world and as such, I can not move on, but I also can't return. I am trapped in limbo." Everything Twilight could think of was easily shot down by Raven's cold words and even colder wind. Luckily Twilight's friends came unknowingly walking into Raven's plan. "Trixie reporting for duty Twilight." A light blue unicorn with a pointy hat and cape covered in stars says "Yeah." A rather bulky pegasus white mare with ironically tiny wings shouts causing Raven to pause at the sight and hold back a chuckle. "Snowflake What have ah told shouting in our ears." A beige earth pony with white socks. No not real socks I mean she has white fur on her legs. "Sorry Applejack." Snowflake said as she looked over to the last two to arrive. One of them was another pegasus this one grey white a sandy yellow mane and she was eating a muffin, the other mare was yellow with an orange mane and tail. She was trying to push the grey mare along."Muffin, Carrot Top hurry up." she yelled "Whoops, my bad." Muffin said and she quickly finished off the muffin and flew with her friends "Oh, sweet merciful Luna, that mare is stronger then she looks." Carrot Top said once she caught her breath. "Okay, Twilight we are ready when you are." Twilight was confused at first sure they were her friends but they weren't the elements well four of them weren't anyway. Twilight was about to say something when Trixie quickly whispers in her ear."Flutter thought it would be a trap with that...thing just letting all the stallions go with the mares so Rarity came up with a quick plan we are fill-ins to see if that's the case so that only you and Applejack have to make it to them instead of all of you." The whispering caught Raven attention and she concluded that either they were on to her or that they had indeed hidden the stallions. Despite the risks, she had to take this opportunity while was in her grasp. When Raven spoke her voice causing the newcomers to shiver. Snowflake to almost faint."It looks like my patience has been rewarded." she spread her wing and flapped it creating a tornado around the two pegasi and they are quickly trapped before the ponies can react another tornado starts to quickly form around Applejack and Carrot Top but Trixie's quick to react as she rushes and pushes Applejack out of the twister before it can form. "Twilight we gotta git if we want to stand a chance of saving our friends." Applejack shouts as she and Twilight book it to safety or at least as safe as they can manage with what is very angry spirit chasing them. While all that is going Down the Cutie Mark Crusaders are in the woods looking for the wing the found the other day but that wasn't the problem the problem was they were all incredibly tired and drained of magic. They aren't out of Mana but they are pretty low. "Where is this stupid wing already I'm getting tired," Scootaloo complained for the umpteenth time in the last five minutes. "Look all ah know is that if you don't stop yappin' I'm gonna make ya," Applebloom growled out with Sweetie Belle sighing at the sight. "Look The wing was aground here somewhere." Sweetie Belle says as she looks at their surroundings. She shivered when she has seen a bit of rope hanging from a tree. The news that a local artist by the name of Quillian Inkheart had killed himself how he died she didn't know and she hoped that they could find Raven's wing before any more join Quillian in the afterlife. This has not been a good month for Ponyville. It's probably where Scootaloo got the idea to contact the dead in the first place. "Look all I know is that its dark and we are looking for a black wing when we can't even see five feet in front of... UUUUUSS!" Scootaloo lands face first in a bunch of raven black feathers. Naturally, she gets up and spits out whatever got in her mouth all while saying ew over and over. "Looks like Scoots found it." Applebloom semi joked as Sweetie Belle inspected the wing. "Um, girls I'm not quite sure but didn't the wing have more bone showing yesterday?" Sweetie pointed out as Scootaloo finished getting the feathers off of her. "Who cares. Let's just go and bring this back to Raven before it's too late." Scootaloo says as she puts the wing on her back after making sure that its firmly attached with tree sap the three fillies book it back to town in the hope that they will save the stallions. All of them agreed to take many baths when this was over like at least three baths. Now back in town the mane six were getting their asses handed to them on a gold platter. Yeah, they were getting wrecked that hard. Raven tossed Rainbow dash off to the side as she punted Applejack and made her crass into the already downed Fluttershy. It was a very one-sided fight. The worst part was that Raven had intentionally left the ponies with minor injuries and they knew it. "Damn it, she's just toying with us," Rainbow said as she dusted herself off. Rarity was fixing her mane because Ravens attacks kept blowing it in her face effectively taking her out of the fight. Pinkie Pie can't get her hooves on the ground so she can't pull out her party cannon. Twilight had the worst of it having a sprained wing joint and having her clock cleaned. Fluttershy was just too scared to do anything since her infamous Stare failed because ghosts are not affected by mind magic. "Ah know right." Applejack said as she gets up and puts her hat back on." Sorry about that Fluttershy but this is bad we can't afford to lose anymore Stallions lest this year's heat is gonna suck." "Its alright Applejack but please be careful I'll try and wake Twilight up," Fluttershy said clearly shaking something fierce as she crawled towards Twilight. "Miss ghost lady can I get down now this ride is getting boring." Pinkie Pie said as she appeared to be practicing her backstroke. Ehh it could use more work. " I know that's why I'm practicing." Pinkie stop breaking the fourth wall this is supposed to be a serious scene. "Oh, my bad mysterious sky voice... also known as the author." It's quite all right Pinkie. Now, where... we oh yes I remember. "No because if I let you down you will attempt to help your friends and only delay the enviable," Raven said as she decided that she has wasted enough time playing with these mares. Raven lifts them all into the air about the same height as Pinkie Pie. The stallions where only about a block away and Raven oh if Raven's heart could beat it would be beating hard right now. The CMC fillies were flying through the middle of town following the destruction trying their hardest not to look at the occasional dead body they passed. They had picked up their usual mode of transportation that being a scooter and a red wagon. It was about twice as fast as running. "Do we think we will make it in time?" Applebloom asked from the back of the wagon with Sweetie Belle holding on to her trying not to look at the carnage. Applebloom wasn't fairing much better. "We have to Applebloom! We just have to." Scootaloo said as memories of her father flashed through her mind and how he was visiting her while he was on leave for the month. Every time they pasted a body. Scootaloo lets out a small sigh of relief that it wasn't her father. Pretty soon the three of them meet up with the Mane 6 who were up in the air. "Sweetie Belle?! What are you doing here?" Rarity scream once she saw the three closing in. For obvious reasons, she didn't want her little sister being anywhere near the area. "Rarity!" Sweetie Belle shouted as the wagon pulled over. The three fillies ran up to their respective siblings only to be knocked to the ground when they got to close. "What in tarnation?" Applebloom said as she got up and dusted herself off. "It's that dastardly Raven's fault her wind power is preventing us from touching the ground but it also prevents anypony from getting to close darlings." Rarity explained as she kept trying to get her mane under control. "Oh but The Worst Thing is she's currently trying to break into the barrier where all the stallions are." Scootaloo gasps and gets on her scooter Making sure the wing is attached "Where are you going Squirt?" She heard her honorary sister ask from behind her. "To save my dad." Scootaloo then takes off leaving her friends behind. She would make it up to them later but for now, she had to stop Raven. Raven made it to the barrier and had begun to wail on it. her first strike had scared the ponies inside. A couple even shitting themselves on the spot. Seeing as her attack had no effect she kept hitting it. Whatever this barrier was made out of it was hard to get past. It wasn't until she noticed the salt on the ground that she stopped. Scoffing she couldn't reach her prize at the moment, at least not until she could get past the salt at any rate. "Whoever made this barrier knew what they were doing." Raven summarized pondered for a while at least until she heard a voice call her name. "RAVEN STOP." Raven turned around to see one of her summoners riding along with her wing on her back. "I have your stupid wing now please just stop." Scootaloo pleaded with tears streaming down her face. Raven walked towards the filly Everyone inside the barrier screaming at Scootaloo to run away and get to the safety of the barrier but too afraid to actually leave the barrier themselves. "You have fulfilled your end of the bargain so I shall fulfill mine hold out my wing Scootaloo," Raven instructed as Scootaloo begrudgingly did as she was told. Raven touched her wing and the instant that contact was made a bright light came to be. This light was so beautiful that some might describe it as beautiful as the Princesses plots. Yes, indeed all four of the princesses asses where as beautiful as this light. When the Light faded so did Raven and her wing. As Raven faded Scootaloo's Cutie mark appeared as a single black feather. The last thing Scootaloo saw was her father leaving the Barrier before she passed out. When Scootaloo woke up she had a splitting headache and her mouth was incredibly dry. She felt something tied tight around her chest and back, and her wings were also held taught against her back. She felt that she was laying on something soft, and there was also a silent beeping. With a groan, she opened her eyes and saw a dark room. The walls were white as she scanned the room. On the bed was her father, who laid his head down on the bed as he seemed to be seated on a chair near the bed. She looked at the door that leads out of here, then to the machine that seemed to be measuring something. Then, she heard faint whispering from all around her. Yet... she didn’t seem bothered. She looked at herself, she was hooked up to the machine, and she had gaze wrapped around her chest and wings to keep them in place because of... something. “W-what happened?” Scootaloo spoke softly as she pressed her hoof against her chest. This made her father’s ear twitch, but he remained still and silent. “You are in the hospital, young one,” A familiar voice echoed around her. Scootaloo’s eyes shrunk as she asked in a panic,” R-Raven!? Where are you!?” “I’m am inside your mind,” Raven’s voice was soft, delicate even,” Yet that does not matter now, are you alright?” Scootaloo thought for a second, then looked down at her father. With a sigh, she said,” I guess so... but please... don’t hurt my dad... he is all I have left...” “I won’t,” Raven spoke,” Yet this does not mean I do not hate these... stallions, but your father is yours to keep.” Scootaloo was about to ask something, but with the slow creak of the door made her attention quickly jump to the noise. In walked Nurse Redheart, who carried a tray with a glass pitcher filled with water, two cups, and what looked to be medicine. That was when the nurse noticed the filly wide awake. “Oh, good afternoon, Scootaloo!” the nurse said as she walked over. “Hello,” The little orange filly said with a rasp now present in her voice. “Hm... you need some water,” she said as she poured a glass halfway with it, she then reached over and grabbed two pill bottles and opened them. Redheart then offered both the drink and pills to the filly, who grabbed the pills and swallowed them down with water. “There, that should help with any pain,” She said,” As well as to help you sleep.” “What happened?” Scoots asked as she placed the cup down. “Well...” Redheart grimaced,” When that crazy ghost attacked and you gave her back her wing, you passed out, not only that, but your wings started to gain a few black highlights. So your father brought you here in quite a rush. We helped you, and to be sure, dabbed the black parts of your wings with anti-inflammatory gel, just to make sure they weren’t burns.” “Oh...” Scoots said, her mind became foggy as her eyes drooped slightly. “We can answer your other questions later,” Redheart said,” But now, please, sleep.” Without `hesitation, the filly laid her head back on the soft pillow and drifted to sleep. No nightmares, no dreams, just an empty and freezing void was all she saw before she woke up. Scootaloo spent a week in the hospital after her encounter with the spirit. The spirit herself had remained mostly quiet, only scoffing loudly at any stallion that walked in. Finally, after the long week, she was released from the room and her wings were free. As a joke, she tried to fly but found that she could. Her joy filled screams echoed across Ponyville as she finally could fly. She could swear that she even heard the spirit cheer her on. Which snapped her back to reality as she landed. The spirit was with her now, and might always be... was this a curse or a blessing? She didn’t know, all she did know was that she had The Raven’s Black Spirit. EpilogueThree months later "It's hard to believe that it's been exactly three months already," Scootaloo said she landed at her house after her weekly flight lessons with Rainbow Dash. Ever since she got her Cutie Mark she had really improved but of course, she had hidden help. "I know right, Scootaloo." A voice said from inside her head. This was the voice of Raven Black. Her voice was no longer monotone or cold as it was when Scootaloo and her friends first summoned her. Something Scootaloo was very thankful for, but it wasn't quite was expecting either. That being similar to Twilight's in tone but closer to Fluttershy's in nature. However if Raven was ever upset then the cold monotone voice would comeback "Oh, I had almost forgotten that your friends are meeting at the clubhouse after they get done with their internships." "Oh yeah, Thanks for the reminder, Raven." Scootaloo entered her house. "Dad, I'm home" She yelled. Her dad was a white Pegasus the same mane and tail color as Scootaloo. His cutie mark was a spear. "Welcome back, Champ." Her father said from the kitchen. Upon entering the kitchen Scoots was treated with a wonderful smell. Scootaloo hovered into her seat "I take it you like what you smell Champ? I made mac&cheese." Her father teased electing a small giggle from Raven. Raven had grown to tolerate Scootaloo's dad as part of the deal they mad three months back, and Raven had to admit he would be the type of stallion she would fall for. That type being brave funny and most importantly nice to his family. She still had strong hatred towards all stallions but she had to tolerate them for Scootaloo. "Of course, you make the best food next to Pinkie Pie" Scootaloo stated as she eyed the stove. "You sure do love to eat I wonder if you were always this way of it is a side effect from our bond." Raven Pondered. The only Scootaloo could hear her she still would talk as if others could hear her. "Hey, dad how's the job hunt going?" Scootaloo asked as her father set down lunch and she wasted no time digging in. Taking a seat across from his daughter. "It's not going good not to many jobs out there for a former guard but the odd jobs that the local farmers need help with do provide bits of help on paying the bills," He stated as he munched into his own lunch. "I just wish your mother was around still." "Well, she is kinda married to your sister so I'm sure you still see her around." Scootaloo then took a drink of water. "Yeah that is true your aunt may still feel bad about the whole thing. but I've long since gotten over that." pausing to take another bite of the macaroni. "So what are your plans for today Champ?" "I'm going to meet up with my friends at the clubhouse." Scootaloo got up and put her plate in the sink. Her father stunned at which his daughter ate simple astounded him considering he wasn't but halfway through with his own meal. Scootaloo then gave her dad a quick kiss on the cheek before to the front door. "Love ya, dad," she said before heading out. Raven through the lunch was unusually quiet minus the comment about how much Scootaloo eats. "Hey, Raven what's eating at you?" Scoots asked once she was in the air away from wondering ears. "Just thinking where my family is," Raven stated her voice monotone but not cold. "I had a bother who my mom took with her when she left." Things were silent for a moment. "Let's go Sweetie Belle's shift at the hospital is over and she's probably picking up Applebloom from the construction site," Raven said. For a moment Scootaloo didn't move as she briefly wondered about Raven's life but that was for another day, for now, she had friends to meet.
The last flightThe sky was a light gray, the wind was cold as it rushed past her wings.
"Girls, we are so in trouble when our families hear about this."
The Ravens Revenge"Not cool, Bra.
