The Raven Black Spirit
Epilogue
Previous ChapterThree months later
"It's hard to believe that it's been exactly three months already," Scootaloo said she landed at her house after her weekly flight lessons with Rainbow Dash. Ever since she got her Cutie Mark she had really improved but of course, she had hidden help.
"I know right, Scootaloo." A voice said from inside her head. This was the voice of Raven Black. Her voice was no longer monotone or cold as it was when Scootaloo and her friends first summoned her. Something Scootaloo was very thankful for, but it wasn't quite was expecting either. That being similar to Twilight's in tone but closer to Fluttershy's in nature. However if Raven was ever upset then the cold monotone voice would comeback "Oh, I had almost forgotten that your friends are meeting at the clubhouse after they get done with their internships."
"Oh yeah, Thanks for the reminder, Raven." Scootaloo entered her house. "Dad, I'm home" She yelled. Her dad was a white Pegasus the same mane and tail color as Scootaloo. His cutie mark was a spear.
"Welcome back, Champ." Her father said from the kitchen. Upon entering the kitchen Scoots was treated with a wonderful smell. Scootaloo hovered into her seat "I take it you like what you smell Champ? I made mac&cheese." Her father teased electing a small giggle from Raven.
Raven had grown to tolerate Scootaloo's dad as part of the deal they mad three months back, and Raven had to admit he would be the type of stallion she would fall for. That type being brave funny and most importantly nice to his family. She still had strong hatred towards all stallions but she had to tolerate them for Scootaloo.
"Of course, you make the best food next to Pinkie Pie" Scootaloo stated as she eyed the stove.
"You sure do love to eat I wonder if you were always this way of it is a side effect from our bond." Raven Pondered. The only Scootaloo could hear her she still would talk as if others could hear her.
"Hey, dad how's the job hunt going?" Scootaloo asked as her father set down lunch and she wasted no time digging in.
Taking a seat across from his daughter. "It's not going good not to many jobs out there for a former guard but the odd jobs that the local farmers need help with do provide bits of help on paying the bills," He stated as he munched into his own lunch. "I just wish your mother was around still."
"Well, she is kinda married to your sister so I'm sure you still see her around." Scootaloo then took a drink of water.
"Yeah that is true your aunt may still feel bad about the whole thing. but I've long since gotten over that." pausing to take another bite of the macaroni. "So what are your plans for today Champ?"
"I'm going to meet up with my friends at the clubhouse." Scootaloo got up and put her plate in the sink. Her father stunned at which his daughter ate simple astounded him considering he wasn't but halfway through with his own meal. Scootaloo then gave her dad a quick kiss on the cheek before to the front door. "Love ya, dad," she said before heading out. Raven through the lunch was unusually quiet minus the comment about how much Scootaloo eats.
"Hey, Raven what's eating at you?" Scoots asked once she was in the air away from wondering ears.
"Just thinking where my family is," Raven stated her voice monotone but not cold. "I had a bother who my mom took with her when she left." Things were silent for a moment. "Let's go Sweetie Belle's shift at the hospital is over and she's probably picking up Applebloom from the construction site," Raven said. For a moment Scootaloo didn't move as she briefly wondered about Raven's life but that was for another day, for now, she had friends to meet.
