Fallout:Equestria - Bad Company
It was a beautiful day in the Equestrian Wasteland… Well, as beautiful as it could get. The sun was hiding behind a thick curtain of clouds like it had done for the past two centuries, and only a dim light shone down onto the long-abandoned settlement.
What had once been a plain, unseeming village in the middle of nowhere had since evolved into a miserable-looking settlement; a decaying assembly of moldering houses, none of which looked like they would survive the next year despite having weathered the past two centuries.
Dead silence hung over the village; silence that was only interrupted by the soft thud of something landing on the dusty ground in the center of the settlement.
Dark Water looked around as he launched into a soft landing on the wasteland ground and let his leathery wings fold in. His light blue eyes carefully scanned the abandoned village around him, his sensitive ears twitching lightly as he listened for any noise.
One second.
Two seconds.
There. There it was again. A gentle thud, followed by a clatter.
His body perked up, eyes widening attentively as his ears located the origin of the sound in the building ahead of him.
The bat pony felt his lip curl into a grin. Another scavenger, it seemed. Right on cue.
He licked his lips, briefly showing off his sharp fangs as he pulled a rusty, beaten shotgun from a strap around his midsection and held it in his hoof. Briefly, he raised his left leg, checking his PipBuck, before setting his focus back on the building ahead of him. Indeed, his EFS showed one sole dot ahead of him - yellow, non-hostile.
Dark smirked mischievously as he got underway, drawing closer to the building with silent steps. See how long it’d stay that way.
Of course, he wasn’t planning on killing or even harming this pony; that just wasn’t his style. He had long since given up the losing battle of being a ‘good’ pony, realizing that, in a world as fucked-up as the one he had been born into, the best one could do is say ‘fuck it’ and just try to get by somehow; make ends meet by any means possible. However, he wasn’t a murderer; he didn’t go out aiming to harm ponies… not those that didn’t deserve it, anyway.
He didn’t have any family or friends to speak of, having grown up by himself in the wastes. And with the Wasteland seeming to throw a bigger threat at him with every day that passed, he just… tried to get by; and did whatever it took to achieve just that. Not wasting another second, the bat pony closed in on the building. Through the long gone door, he could see into the dark insides of what might have once been a saloon, although the still considerably bright light outside made it hard for his sensitive eyes to spot anything inside.

He frowned.

So instead, he kept walking - silently, step by step, he closed in on the mare, who appeared to still be digging through a taut pouch filled with all sorts of junk, appearing to be searching for valuables.
Again, he made a face, rolling his eyes. Scavengers.
Oh well…
Finally, Dark came to a halt behind the mare; close enough for his shotgun to be effective should things go downhill, but far enough away should the mare turn out to be armed with a knife, bat, pipe, or whatever.

In an instant, the mare stopped her frantic searching, almost freezing in her movement. Then, slowly, she turned her head, and for the first time Dark got a closer look at her features.

However, she just looked back at him with a relaxed, almost casual grin on her face; a fact that made the hair on Dark’s neck stand on edge.
But of course, he did his best to not let it affect him as he raised the arm holding the shotgun, putting on a confident face. “So, scavenger, huh?” he said, a subtle hint of condescension in his voice, “Made any good discoveries lately?” he smirked, lightly swaying the shotgun in his hooves, “Anything you feel like sharing?”
The little stable dweller raised an eyebrow as she looked him over, perhaps needing a second to understand what he was referring to. He couldn’t blame her, really. Stable ponies - when it comes to wasteland-life, they were as intelligent as Brahmin sometimes.
He opened his mouth, ready to elaborate and make it clear what it was he wanted, but cut himself off as the mare reciprocated his smirk, and her green eyes shot him a cutting glance.
“Actually,” she said smugly as her left hoof, concealed by her body, lightly tapped against the pouch next to her, “I think I just made a pretty good catch.”
“Heh,” Dark smirked, baring his teeth. This was just too easy, “Well then, why don’t yooooah!?” he was cut off mid-sentence as the mare’s horn suddenly lit up with a light green hue, and mere split second later, Dark yelped as he felt the shotgun yanked from his grip with a sudden, utterly surprising force.
“Whatthefuck!?” his mouth sputtered out even before his mind could process what had happened, the force of the yank almost upsetting his balance and throwing him off his hooves. His ears twitched as he heard the mare chuckle softly, although his attention was mostly focused on his shotgun that was now pointed right at him, hovering in the mare’s magical aura mere inches away from dark’s forehead.
“Too easy.” the mare remarked visibly amused, her face a bemused grin as she slowly, comfortably, arose to her hooves, and came walking into the direction of the thestral.
“W-what the…!?” Dark gasped, feeling his heart pound in his ears, his eyes never leaving his shotgun; his trusty H&K Fabarm FP6, which was now being used against him - a sight that was truly disturbing to think about.
“Come on, did you really think I didn't notice you coming in?” the short mare asked almost reproachfully as she closed in on the stallion, “You should know how an EFS works… hell, you have a PipBuck yourself!” she pointed out, the shotgun momentarily pointing at the device around Dark’s leg. “It’s in terrible condition, by the way. It’s a miracle how it’s still running.”
Dark needed a moment to fully understand what she had just said, but the questions on his mind were answered as his look went down to the mare’s ankle where, lo and behold, a well-maintained PipBuck in pristine condition was visible.
“...Fuck.” Dark furrowed his brow. How… how didn’t he know? How the fuck could he have forgotten!? Almost every stable dweller was wearing one of these things around their leg! Hell, that’s where those things came from in the first place!

“What, sour you got overwhelmed by a mare?” said mare asked almost tauntingly, “Don’t worry, you’re not the first one.” she said, grinning sinisterly, “They never suspect the small ones.”
Dark sighed, rolling his eyes. Another thing about stable dwellers - most, if not all of them were complacent little shits.
“Fine.” he sighed, visibly annoyed. “You got me, okay? Tell you what, you give me my gun back, and we can both be on our way.”
The mare snickered at that. Her look went up to the ceiling for a moment as she pretended to contemplate his suggestion, before she decidedly looked back at him. “Hmm, no.” she declined briefly, shaking her head.
Dark sighed again, increasingly annoyed, “Look, I don’t have anything on me. If you’re trying to mug me, there’s nothing to take, so if you can just-”
“Take off your clothes.”
The command was just as cold and emotionless as it was surprising to Dark, who stopped dead in his tracks.
“...What!?”
“You heard me.” the mare repeated herself soberly, “Your hoodie, take it off.” she commanded with a brief nod at the stallion’s body.
“What the fuck is wrong with you!?” Dark snarled, cocking an eyebrow. Why in the world was she telling him to get undressed? Did she want to steal his hoodie out of pure spite or something!?
He narrowed his eyes, his grim look going back to his gun floating in front of him, wondering if she even knew how to handle such a thing. Hell, being a stable dweller she probably had never even touched a gun in her life before coming out into the wastes; simple to operate as a shotgun might be, chances are she didn’t even know how-
“That’s a nice gun,” she remarked, seeming to have caught his glance, “12 gauge, right? Coming from Germaneigh if I’m not mistaken.” she noted, her green eyes coming to rest on the weapon in question, before going back to meet those of Dark, “I used to have one of those myself… until my friend annexed it.” she explained, slowly twisting the gun in her telekinesis.
“A bit rough to handle, but they do make quite a mess.” she grinned deviously, locking eyes with him, “Do you really wanna die that badly? It wouldn’t leave a pretty sight to look at, I’m sure.”
Dark’s slit eyes narrowed as he stared back at her, his teeth clenching. The struggle for dominance lasted just a few brief moments, before Dark grimaced and hissed a curse under his breath.
Damn his curiosity. Damn it all to hell. He should’ve just kept flying.
Taking a step back from the floating gun to give himself some space, he stretched out his membrane wings -which, unbeknownst to him, got him a curious raise of an eyebrow from his captor- and fought to wiggle his way out of the hoodie.
