The legend everypony knows tells that after a thousand years of banishment, Nightmare Moon will escape to once again shroud Equestria in darkness, and that the stars will aid in her escape. Those stars are under control of the sister nopony wants to mention, the black sheep of the family: Stella. But what happens when Stella, after nearly a thousand years of commitment to her imprisoned sister, finds a reason to remain on earth, even though she knows she will eventually leave to eternally remain among her stars? This is the untold story of Stella, a story of love, fate, and the beauty of darkness.

(Note: This story is being written for the National Pony Writing Contest, and will likely not be very good as I will push myself to write 1,613 words a day. But you can read anyway, if it turns out you like it. Other characters might be added as the story progresses.)
