Chapter 1
"Will you marry me?" The purple unicorn, Twilight Sparkle asked me sincerely, holding up a box with a ring inside.
"Twilight... I think you already know the answer." I grinned and leaned in close to her. She leaned in as well. Our lips came close, and were an inch away from touching.
But just then, before we could get the chance to kiss, a pony near us yelled something, ruining the whole moment.
"ENEMY NUKE INCOMING! It's over..."
"What on earth!?" I looked to the sky to see a nuclear warhead, and looked back to where Twilight was, only to see the remnants of a teleportation spell, and cursed myself for not knowing how to use the spell myself. Since there was no chance of running away, I accepted my inevitable death, and watched as the bomb hit the ground right next to me, exploding with a huge mushroom cloud of death.
And then I woke up.
Slipping out of unconsciousness, I realize that it must be morning, and that means I would have to get up. I felt around the bed, and soon realized that there wasn't one. What I was laying on almost felt like... Grass? That's weird, I could've sworn I slept in my bed last night... I opened my eyes and sat up to look around, and I saw that I was in the middle of a large grassy field, with just a few trees.
"Is this somebody's prank? Was I at a camp? No, that can't be it..." I stood up and got a better look, rubbing my eyes. I saw my thick, black glasses on the ground near where I was. "Well, at least I have my glasses." I put them on and looked around again, and soon realized that the field I was in was EXTREMELY colorful. Too colorful to be real.
"Is this what heaven looks like?" I thought about it for a moment, looking around once more. "Nah, I'd probably go to hell if I had died." I started walking in a straight direction, hoping to find civilization. For some reason, the top half of my body started to get very heavy. I looked down at myself to see that I had become the very thing of my dreams: a pony.
...And then I passed out.
Waking up for the second time, I checked myself out. By some stroke of luck, I looked exactly like my Ponysana, So I already had a name for myself.
"Now I just have to find Ponyville." I looked around, seeing nothing I recognized, nor any other ponies to give me directions. So I decided to walk through the field. It felt like three hours before I finally saw something I recognized. Too bad it was the Everfree forest, and not the "Welcome to Ponyville" sign.
"Fluttershy lives on the border of the forest... I'll just follow the border until I see her house!" I kept walking, following my own plan to go around the border, and finally saw a cottage.
"Yes! Civilization! I found Fluttershy's house!" I started walking towards it to ask Fluttershy for directions, and knocked on the door. The door opened, and the shy, yellow pegasus stood in the doorway.
"H-hello... U-um, w-what do you need?" Fluttershy asked me shyly.
I opened my mouth to talk, but then my brain started working again.
And then I realized I was talking to Fluttershy.
THE Fluttershy.
And then I passed out.
...Again.
Waking up, I felt a bed around me. "Ugh... It must've been a dream..."
"What must've been a dream?" A soft voice said to my side. My eyes shot open, and I sat up to see that the source was none other than Fluttershy! "O-oh, I'm sorry, d-did I wake you up?"
"No, it's fine! Perfectly fine, everything is perfectly okay!" My brain was so full of thoughts, I thought it would explode! But that would be adding to the amount of thoughts, so I thought to stop thinking it, and, well, you get the point.
"Y-you knocked on my door and then passed out after I said hello..." Sweet Celestia, that's adorable. "So I b-brought you upstairs and put you in my bed... I-Is that okay?"
"Oh, that's fine! I'm sorry for passing out on your doorstep."
"S-so, uhm, what's your name? I-I mean, i-if you don't mind me asking..."
"Thespy An! It's nice to meet you Fluttershy!"
"Nice to meet you too." She thought about this for a moment, then added, dumbfounded, "H-how did you know my name was Fluttershy?"
I internally face palmed at my own idiocy. Okay, I have to come up with something, she'll think I'm crazy if I told her the truth...
"I... uh... I remember you from all those magazines you were in! You know, back when you were modelling!" I lied to her. It hurt to lie to Fluttershy's face, but a stallion has got to do what a stallion has got to do. Although maybe it wasn't the best thing to say, because the pegasus in question started giving me a very sad look the second after I said it. "Um, D-did I say something bad?"
"I-it's nothing... Just bad memories..." She said to me, still with a sad look.
"Well, uhm, sorry for bringing it up..." I felt so awkward, talking to, easily, the most adorable pony on the best show on television, but it was made even worse about five seconds later, when I finally realized where Fluttershy was sitting.
"Um, Fluttershy?" I called for her attention.
"Y-yes?" She asked me curiously.
"Were you... sleeping with me?"
Fluttershy's face to a bright shade of pink, even through her coat. "I-I-I d-didn't m-mean it like th-that, I was j-just t-tired, and I lied down n-next to you, b-because the bed just l-looked so comfy, and I d-did'nt think, and I-I... u-um..." She looked panicked, so I interrupted her.
"Hey, no worries! It's fine, I don't mind." Oh my Celestia, I just slept with Fluttershy!
