First Contact

Not long after finishing Starswirl's spell, Twilight did not know what she would do next. Soon, another strange vehicle appeared, and a figure got out. He stayed silent, and then put a chain around Twilight. He pulled out a glowing orb, and clapped it above their heads. Twilight was blinded by the flash of light. The person snapped his fingers, and disappeared without a trace.

"Where did she go?", asked Applejack, with a panicked tone.

Twilight reappeared in an ethereal place. She did not know what had happened. Celestia appeared, and congratulated her for finding the magic of friendship. Soon, Twilight was engulfed by a mass of magic, and did not know what was happening. Celestia was puzzled too, because this was not what she had usually done to perform an alicorn transformation. Twilight felt something queer, as her back began to ache. It felt like something was growing there, but she could not tell completely. Energy flew from all of her limbs, around her neck, and out of her eyes. She could not see, nor hear ANYTHING. She felt herself going into an unconscious state. Then, as everything was going dark, she felt wind whistling, as if she was flying.

Back on the ground, Rainbow Dash saw what looked like a stray firework. Then, there was one orb of light that flew in the direction of the lake.

"It must be a sign of some sort.", said Rarity.

They followed it until they heard a *SPLASH*.

At the lake, Twilight floated to the surface. They pulled her out, and she woke up coughing 3 minutes later. Her alicorn wings were partially spread when Celestia came. She explained that her star student had become Equestria's newest princess, and that the crowning would be the following week in Canterlot at noon.
