Thump, thump. I hear it even from miles away I can hear it, it's almost mocking. Everyday day and night I can hear their heartbeat. Whether slow or fast it doesn't make a difference, because all that matters is what is flowing inside. The delicous red liquid inside the veins. Thick, red, and oh so sweet just freely flowing for somepony like me to have a midnight snack. I lick my lips as I think about. I could almost taste it now.

I look outside of my cloud home hovering over Ponyville. It was a quant little town just outside Canterlot, the capital. It was your normal small town, it had your vendors, small shops, and great places to eat. I also have five of the greatest friends a pony could have.

Applejack was one of my oldest friends who lives on a apple farm just outside of town. She was an earth pony with one powerful buck. She could probably knock a pony out with one of those kicks. Yet she is also honest and caring to her friends and family.

Pinkie Pie was simply insane. Possibly even more insane than I am which is saying something. She always laughing at something even when it wasn't funny. She also always seems to not follow the rules of gravity. She also has this weird Pinkie Sense which can sense danger. She also threw the best parties around.

Fluttershy is my oldest friend and her best, even though were complete oppisites. She's very shy and scared of almost anything. She loves taking care of animals and is quite good at it. She is also very patient and understanding something that I'm not. I spite of this we are possibly the greatest friends.

Rarity is the fashion pony of the group. She couldn't get dirty if it meant her life. Yet she was a very generous pony and would do anything for her friends. She also uses me as a model for dresses. I hate that so much that I would rather go to hell not that I'm not going anyways.

Lastly there is Twilight Sparkle. She is the leader nd most responsible of the group. She is incrediblely gifted in magic and academics. She is also the biggest egghead in Equestria. She would kill to get a good book, not like she would go that far. Yet if it wasn't for her I'll be probably living in the Everfree Forest.

My thoughts go back to my crimson dinner. I start to scan the suurounding area. I usually get a homeless filly, get her to go to sleep. Feed on her blood untill I have enough energy for the week. Then dump her in the forest somewhere. It sounds horrible, it is, and I enjoy every second of it.

I find somepony in the distance. From my vantage point I can see that it was a filly, but to young to get a cutie mark. She had a green mane with cream colored coat. She was crying, possibly from abuse or being homeless. She almost pittied the young filly. But she was going to die anyways.

I flap my wings and go out the window towards the filly in town. I could already imagine how good she would taste. I lick my lips as I descend toward town. I put on my best pity face as I land behind the filly.

"Excuse me", I start."Where are your parents little one", I continue try ing to keep myself restrained. She starts to cry more so I assume she had no parents.

"So you don't have parents, what about a home", I say. She only shakes her head in dismay. Just perfect.

"Okay so you know what I'll take you back to my place and get you some food, is that okay with you", I continue barely containing a smile. I lift her up in my arms and craddle her like a foal. With a single flap of my wings I take off from town. I start going in random directions to make it seem it would be a long time to my house. As I head over the Everfree Forest she falls asleep.

My fangs extend from my mouth which were previously hidden. I sink them into her neck and put my hoof over her mouth to keep her from screaming. Wave after wave of sweet blood flow in my mouth and stains my muzzle. My pupils turn crimson red as I feed. Finally, I have feed enough for about a week. My eyes return to normal and my fangs retract into my mouth.

Since I have no more use for her I drop her into the tree line. Once I her a satisfing splat I know my deed is done. I flew back to my house with new energy I got from her blood. I open my door and head to the kitchen to whipe the blood off my muzzle. I head to my bed and rest my head on my cloud pillow.

Someponies may call me evil, others may call me demonic, and some a parasite. I'm all of the above. I don't enjoy it as much as others but I do because if I don't, I will most certainly die.

"Spike!", a studios mare called from the depths of the library. Her name was Twilight Sparkle, the town librarian. She is also the faithful student of Princess Celestia and would do anything for her. Which is probably why she is in her situation she is in now.

Five days ago she sent a paper to the Princess explaining why fairytale monsters especialy vampires couldn't exist at any time. She thought her paper was perfect but her response proved otherwise. Princess Celestia sent her a book, but not just any book, a book about vampires. There was a note attached to it saying "Read It" in perfect cursive.

Now she had to study it, if only she hadn't thrown it away. Spike, her pet dragon had disinfecting it to make sure it was mint condition.

"Spike!", she called again. Really how long could it take to make a whethered book in perfect mint condition.

"Right here Twilight I got it cleaned an- oof" he said before falling flat on his face because of Twilight taking the book out of his claws.

"Ah, perfect Spike", she exlaimed as she dove in her book. Spike began to mumble something under his breath but she couldn't quite catch it.

"Alright, so Vampire: A True Beast, by Sugar Pie?", she said with a clear confused look on her face.

"Isn't that Pinkie's mother?", Spike asked as he got up from the floor holding his head.

"I think your right Spike", Twilight responded while closing the book. She then got up and started out the door before Spike asked "Where are you going".

"To Sugarcube Corner to talk with Pinkie" she stated before walking out the door. Spike groaned as he headed upstairs to take a nap."Atleast she didn't tell me to do any thing" he mumbled before going to sleep.

Rainbow flew high in the sky looking over Ponyville. Thanks to last nights refreshment she felt like she could tak on an ursa major, or do seven sonic rainbooms in a row. She felt herself. Suddenly her picked up something down below. She feared of what it might be about. She saw Thunderlane and Cloudchaser talking, nothing unusual.

"So guys, what are you talking about?", she asked. Cloudchaser turned to her and responded "We were talking about that liitle filly being murdered last nigh-", before she could finish she saw Rainbow take off again. She rolled her eyes and continued to talk to Thunderlane.

The word "No" was echoing throughout her mind as she took off towards Sugarcube Corner.
