When I got to this world, the first thing I did, was fight a unicorn.

I didn't know what happened during the flash. But I knew what happened it. What happened was this: me, flat on my ass, with a pony of all things hovering over me. She had a horn, so it couldn't have been a pony... do unicorns count as ponies?

Then the unicorn's wings spread out and then... wait a second, unicorn's don't have fucking wings.

“What the fuck are you?”

The winged unicorn blinked. “Wait. You can speak?”

“I can speak alright.” I brought a hand to my chin, feeling around my face for anything damaged or sore. “Just didn't know I could speak animal. Or animals learned how to speak human.” I shook the nonsense out of my head. “Original question again. What the heck are you?”

“Me?” One of its wings pointed at her chest. “I am an alicorn. I have the wings of a pegasus and the horn of a unicorn.” She smiled while her ears tinted pink. “But the others aren't like me. In fact, there are only a few alicorns across the world.”

“Your parents must have been proud.”

“They really were!”

Seemed like sarcasm was a dead art in this world.

“So, forgive me for asking this, but am I about to die right now?” The hand exploring my face dropped to the floor. “Because you're actually a train speeding toward me in real life. Or some gang-member who I'm misinterpreting everything you say, or—“

“I'm not going to harm you!” the unicorn—alicorn thingy—tucked her wings into her sides. “And this is all very much real! You were brought in consequence of a spell to procure something from your world.”

“Like my heart?”

“We ponies are friendly. Fri-en-dly!” She walked over to me and offered her hoof. “We don't want to fight you, eat you, or... anything like that!” She sighed, closed her eyes, then smiled. “My name is Twilight Sparkle, and I assure you, you're in good hooves!”

I gazed at her hoof for a solid second. It was small with fur all around it, some of its fluff standing up on its own. I didn't realize I was reaching for it until the sensation of it coursed from my hand—my fingers clamped down along the softness. She was like a warm and soft pillow that was somehow alive.

“Let's get you up!” Twilight's pull was more like a yank. One of those, and I was up on my feet, feeling my backpack settling against my back. “There where go! My, aren't you tall.”

“Oh yeah, extremely.”

From a rough glance, Twilight stood just over my hip, which she took for me being tall. The truth of the matter was that she, and if there were more like her around, was small. Smaller than small. Back home, I was a few inches below the common man.

But I wasn't about to tell her that. There's something that everyone should know about me, something that they would have to figure out for themselves because, only in my rare moments of honesty, I'll admit this one fact about myself.

I am a liar.

And a damn good one at that.

“Sweet crib you got here.” I finally took a moment to digest my surroundings which, really, was everything if everything had a crystal finish to it. “This some kind of studying room or something.”

“Correct!” Twilight walked around me, gazing up and down my figure, and I was half-tempted to take a pose. Her eyes became glued to the thing on my back. “Is that your equivalent to our saddlebags?”

“You got it.” It felt neat to be so closely examined for once in my life. At home, I went to my room; at school, I made it through the halls alone; playing online, I never once used my mic. I was a loner. I wasn't anyone of interest. “Would you... like to see inside of it?”

“I was hoping you'd ask!” Twilight's wings flared slightly from her sides by the excitement that was coursing throughout her body. She sat on the ground and even crossed her legs, like that one kid who got overly hyped for show and tell back in grad school. “I'm not sure how much you realize this, Mr...”

“Jak. Name's Jak.”

My name actually wasn't Jak. It was Frank. I hated the name Frank.

“Well Jak, you may not realize this, but this is the first communication between our two species!” Twilight shook her head, throwing up her forelegs. “Do you even realize how great that is? What all of this will mean when our interaction is over?”

“I imagine you'll be able to fill these shelves with some of your own books.” I was playing down my own excitement to the point of indifference. I couldn't show her how desperately I needed this attention, to be viewed as something remotely close to special. “But, for now, I have some of my own to offer.”

“You've written books before?!”

That's not what I meant.

“Of course I have.” I sat on the floor, pulling off my straps and putting the bag between my legs. “I'm actually a very important writer back at home. I retired a while back due to reasons.” I unzipped the top of the bag, reaching into it. “Probably rusty now I imagine.”

“I very much doubt that!” I pulled a book out from my bag—A Tale of Two Cities—and tossed it her way. “Even the title alone has me hooked! May I start reading now?”

“Be my guest,” I said. “And be sure to tell me what you think.”

Not much had happened after that. My bag didn't have much more to it than that: a few more books from my English class, gym clothes for gym class, and a bong for when it came to all the other classes.

Twilight was curious about all of it, of course, though her muzzle was between pages throughout most of the exchange. Many times, something on the page would stop her to read, look up at me, blush only for a second, then return to the pages.

And I was conflicted about that. Because once in my life, I felt good about something, I was admired and respected for being something and having done something, though most of it was a simple lie.

Man, I was so caught up in the admiration, in the fuel of validation that I didn't bother to ask how I wound up here, why I was up here, or even if there was a way back home. Guess that's what I thought of my life on the other side of this fantasy.

Eventually, though, we stopped our talking, and Twilight explained a few things to me. She showed me the castle once she was done. There was a room I could have until this whole mess was over. It was big. Bigger than any room I'd ever had in my life.

I went to bed that night with a beating heart, one that I was counting every beat of, excited and afraid of everything that was coming to be. I worried too, as my eyes slipped shut, to exactly what would await me when I woke.

Would I be at home, awake after a pleasant dream, one I would soon forget?

Would I be at school, mocked by a teacher, with droll on my desk?

Would I be at the hostile, blood everything, my vision nowhere, as beeping filled my ears?

When my eyes finally did open, it was not because of my choice, and there was no light to be found. All I saw was lavender; all I felt was softness. I'd gone to sleep without a blanket yet awoke with one. Twilight Sparkle was draped over my body, hooves and legs draped along my sides.

“Liar.”

First word. That was the first word she said to me. Drowsiness was no longer a thing as my heart pounded against my chest again. Had she already seen through my lies? Was she to send me back? My fantasy doomed to be shorter than any dream I had?

“I'm such a horrible liar.” Twilight's muzzle lifted off from my chest, tears pouring down her cheeks, eyes quivering in a shimmering of violet. “I'm so sorry, Jak, I so so sorry.”

“W-What's wrong?” I shook my head. I'd never been in a room alone with a girl, much less one crying, claiming to be something that I excelled at. “What did you even lie about? Please don't cry. Come on, it's alright.”

For once in my life, something happened that I didn't expect, if only because my body acted faster than my mind could think. One of my hands lifted to her muzzle, my thumb softly gliding across her cheek, wiping away her tears; my other hand went around her barrel, holding her close to my body.

“When... when I told you... that I cast a miscast a spell...” Twilight pressed her face back into my chest, her softness pressing against my skin. Without thought, I draped my arm around her neck. “I was lying to you. Really, I had found.... some other books from your world, and wanted to summon some more.”

“That's it?” I chuckled, scratching at the back of one of her fluffy ears. “That's what you're crying over? Don't be so silly, Twilight.”

“Don't you get it, Jak?” Her head raised against my hand, her eyes staring into mine, backed by a flame burning behind her pupils. “You're here because of me. I was being selfish! I wanted something more that did not belong to this world, and I... I...”

I stroked the back of her mane. She was crying again. All I could do was let her rest her head against me again. Guilt stabbed me at once—or maybe it was her horn. Didn't matter. I didn't like that Twilight was crying, and worse yet, she was crying because of me.

She really did pin all of this on herself. She was better than me. She really did feel bad for what she did, she really did feel regret, and hated herself for something as small as wanting a few more books. I couldn't stand a pony like that hating herself.

“Easy there, Twilight, you're giving yourself too much credit.” I stroked her mane slowly, enjoy how it felt like silk brushing against my fingers. “Where I'm from, wars have been started for less than that, and the reasons were a lot less innocent than yours.”

“J-Just...” she sniffed as her voice was weak, muffled against my skin “...because others do... bad things... that doesn't make me good!”

“And I would never dare say that.” I made sure to breathy slowly and heavier through my mouth—I couldn't let Twilight catch on to my heart rate. For once in my life, I had to be careful with what I said. Just like a writer, I had to choose my words. “What I'm saying is that you care, Twilight, and you care enough to feel like this. Back home, not many let themselves cry anymore, and even when they do, it's for themselves.”

Twilight's sobs became the occasional hiccup.

“And us writers are always willing to embark on the next adventure!” That was a rip-off from some quote I read long ago, but it worked, so I used it. “What better place to get inspiration for a fantasy story than a place with talking ponies?”

Twilight lifted her head again, and this time, for good. “So... you're not mad that you're stuck here? E-Even though I just... took you away from your world, from your home?”

“My books weren't doing too well back there.” Damn it. Lying again to a fragile mare. What was wrong with me? “Plus I was having a hard time writing. Taking me here was probably one of the best things you could have done for—“

I would have kept talking if it weren't for the lips that pressed against my own. They were soft with some fur covering the skin. Delicate. Sweet. If I was a writer, I would list all the adjectives to describe Twilight's lips.

I went to kiss back but found that I was too late.

“Sorry! Sorry!” Twilight at once flew back, her firm rump crashing down my groin, filling dangerous near to my crotch. “I am so sorry for that! I-It just sorta happened and...” She shook her head. “I love you!” She covered her mouth with her hooves real quick, cheeks turning brighter than her coat. “I mean that I love your works.”

I was so confused and with so many things to be confused about. Transported to a strange world. Making friends with a pony. Lying about being a great author. Losing my first kiss to something other than human. Then realizing that this mare, this beautiful mare, read a book in a night that took me four months to get half-way through.

“I know that you're smart, Twilight.” I coughed only to then wheeze, for all the air in my lungs had drained away during the kiss. “But I didn't realize just how smart you were. So... you enjoyed the book?”

I was glad she was off my chest, or else, she could feel my heart trying to implode. She was way too smart and pretty for her own good. I was clever—not smart. There was no way I could keep lying to her. Twilight would find me out soon enough.

“Enjoyed it? It was the best thing I ever read!” Twilight wasn't meaning to, but she was sliding her flanks along my abdomen, each one the perfect amount of squeamishness to it, both of them rolling along with my skin. “I couldn't believe that someone so young had such insights inside our minds! There's just so much depth to you...”

I was as shallow as they came, so much so, that I hoped she didn't check to see what was growing behind her. Sometimes, as she talked, her tail flicked dangerously close to my erection.

“There's so much your book left me with,” Twilight continued, “it made me feel so much. And once I had finished it, I realized just what I had done, just who I had taken away from his own world.” She lowered her head. “I'm so sorry, Jak, and I hope that you can forgive me.”

It made sense that Jak would be different from Frank, because unlike Frank, Jak could be whoever he wanted through the lies he told. So Jak response to that wasn't to talk, but to act, leaning up and forward, earning Twilight's surprise.

She looked up in time to see me upon her. I took her lips by force, feeling their softness mesh against my own, a warmth and a tickle of fur that I'd never be able to find back at home. And they kissed back. Oh my, how they kissed back! All thoughts drained from my mind as my eyes were set on nothing but her.

I hugged her against me. My arms wrapped around her back while my hand found their place underneath her legs. Fur flattened against my palm while my fingers searched along her barrel, along with her chest, tracing along her skin.

Twilight's body drove me crazy. Small and petite, cute and shy, a vessel for soft perfection. Her curves drew my hands on their own. Her moans filtered into my mouth, accompanied by a warm breath and a prodding of a tongue.

I wasn't expecting things to race on, but they did, and I was racing along with them. We breathed sharply through our nostrils, and I sat up more, all so I could bring my lips crashing down on hers. Our lips meshed. Our tongues played. Our groins touched.

I was startled and so was she, but for whatever reason, our kiss still remained. I had no clue what I was doing, but thankfully, Twilight appeared as clueless as me. She was enjoying it. Her cheeks were pink, her wings were no longer contained, and she kept rubbing herself down there closer to my crotch. All I had on was boxers, and on my skin, I felt wetness drooling onto it.

After a few more seconds, we had to break the kiss, if only to breathe long enough so we could kiss some more. Between the short distance between Twilight's muzzle and my face, a bridge of saliva connected our lips, while we both continued to pant.

“I like you, Twilight Sparkle. Like a lot.” I raised a hand and laid it against her cheek, feeling her fur fill out between my fingers. “ You're cute and you're smart. And your body is just... wow.”

Twilight giggled. Strands of her mane covered her right eye. “I must be amazing if I could stump a writer with your vocabulary.” She dipped her muzzle, though I could still see her small smile. “Listen, Jak, I've never... really done something like this before.”

With my hand on her cheek, I lifted her head by an inch—just enough to stare into her violet eyes again. “Neither have I. You're my first, Twilight.”

“R-Really?” Twilight blinked. “Even with how you handled romance?”

“References from friends.” I sighed as it was my turn to gaze down. Another lie, but at least this time, I could take some importance away from myself. “Those books may have been written by me, but it was a group effort, Twilight. Friends and editors and others helped make that thing real.”

“Even still,” Twilight said, “I liked you anyway. There's just something about you that I don't understand, that I just want to get to learn more of and... explore.” She gulped when I looked back up, and when I saw here, she was looking down her back. “I-I know I caught you by surprise, but is that your... thing poking into my butt?”

I gulped. “Y-Yes.”

I was expecting anger to come next. I was expecting for her to shout, to scream, to kick me out from her life. We'd kiss and we felt each other up, but this... this was too much to impose on such short notice.

“So you weren't lying then.” Twilight looked back at me, leaning forward to plant a kiss on my cheek. “You really do find me attractive.” She leaned further until her lips brushed against my ear. “You really do... want to have a mare like me?”

“I-It's like I said!” There was no stopping my heart from pounding when her hooves came onto my chest, balancing themselves on each of my pecs. “We writers are always exploring! S-Searching for inspiration... and other stuff... like our muses and things.”

“I want to be your muse, Jak,” Twilight whispered into my ear, nibbling on it afterward. “I want you to write about our lands.” I felt her muzzle brush down the side of my head, where she licked at my neck. “I want to be your reference for everything about mares.” Twilight kissed at my throat, then down to my chest, where she lingered for quite some time. “But.... more than anything ever... I want to be your editor and lover...”

I wasn't even a real writer and all that stuff was turning me on. There was no way Twilight hadn't learned to do all this somewhere before. The way how her lips lingered on what little muscle I had on my chest, kissing it gently, letting her tongue flick across the skin, nipping the surface all so gently made me all the more hard.

And that wasn't all she was doing.

I was pretty much sitting up at this point when she took control. Twilight arched her back much like a cat, forelegs on my chest while her lips traveled downward, and meanwhile, her supple flanks backed into my erection, catching in inside her crack.

I had to grip the bed sheets as hard as I could—which was not much harder than my cock. Beneath me, Twilight flicked her gaze up, smirking my expression. Without giving it away, she lowered her rump along my cock, letting softness of her flanks conform along my length.

I wanted to yell with how soft her flanks were, so close and so far, the cloth of my boxers separating us. Twilight was evil enough to then sit down on my erection, having it almost painfully press against my stomach, trapped under her ass.

“Should the draft end here?” Twilight asked me. “Or should we see where the story goes?”

“I'll chase your tail wherever it goes.”

“Tail for tale!” Twilight giggled as her sudden seductiveness vanished for a second. “Clever writer!”

I didn't say anything after that as I continued to watch. Twilight was quick to let her muzzle again, a smirk at once retaking her lips, all while she gazed down at between her legs. My gaze followed. She had her tail pinned, the strands of violet and highlights covering her crotch.

“It seems like we both having something covering our bodies.” Twilight glanced up at me, her mouth open slightly. Her eyes hid beneath the shadow of her mane. “We both have something keeping us from each other.” Twilight began to flick her hips, riding her weight atop my cock, letting her flanks clench along my sides. “If it's alright with you, Jak, I would like to do a little research.”

“You can do whatever the hell you want to me.”

Twilight only smiled. “I knew you would see things from my perspective, writer.”

I wanted to cry when Twilight got off my cock. She slid down onto my thighs, watching my crotch as my cock began to rise, standing tall and struggling against the black cloth. I watched intensely as Twilight poked her muzzle forward, kissing at the underside of my dick, before going over it, and taking the waistband of my boxers with her teeth.

“Lwets see whwat you're hiwding under here.” Twilight's voice came muffled as she pulled back, slowly, building toward the reveal, keeping her eyes always on my cock. I groaned as the fabric pulled down on it. “Hwere we go!”

My boxers traveled the last inch over my cock, pinning it no longer, as it then bounced up in freedom. I felt it bat against the side of Twilight's muzzle, who left herself purposely there for the attack. “Now aren't we just cute?”

Cute wasn't the word I was hoping for, but then again, it could have been a lot worse.

Twilight's muzzle prodded at the underside of my dick, like she was examining it closely, analyzing it inside her mind. My heart beat harder in my chest underneath such scrutiny. It was hard not too when a girl was staring and thinking about your cock intensely.

But more than that, I was hoping for her to do something. I wanted her to take that warm tongue of hers and lick at it, to have her wings wrap around my girth and begin jerking me off, or just... anything!

But Twilight was slow at first, almost hesitant, and I could see her heart beating through her chest. But she shook her head. Her muzzle rose over my cock, her lips slitting over my tip as she took my head inside her tight muzzle.

I arched my back in response.

I struggled to keep my eyes opened as I heard Twilight giggle. She didn't go any further down my length, deciding instead to stay at my tip, letting my head rest on the surface her tongue. Her lips came down against my skin, rubbing, even slowly, up and down.

Twilight experimenting, and at the same time, getting comfortable.

I felt my cock inside her mouth, where her tongue stroked at my underside. She did this before suddenly pulling back, her tongue ceasing to support me as my dick hovered in her maw. But as quickly as she back away, her tongue came at me again, flicking the tip of her tongue again my tip, swirling around the girth of my head.

“T-T-Twilight!” My nails threatened to break with how hard my fingers clenched the bed sheets. “Y-You're outrunning me...”

Twilight flicked her eyes up at me only for a second, giggling. I felt it vibrate against my head, and from then on, I wished she would have started humming as she sucked me off. She really didn't know what she was doing to me. I'd never felt my cock ache so much before, brought to the edge only to be sent back, continuously denied its sweet release.

But Twilight was growing confident. My dick grew slick with her saliva, feeling it coat around my girth, having it leak down my length, which her lips were quick to race down to catch. Her muzzle was tighter than anything I'd felt before. It was so humid and warm inside her maw, her tongue endeavoring to swirl more along my length, leaving not a patch of skin dry.

I could feel pre oozing from my tip. From the way how her eyebrows suddenly rose, I gathered Twilight tasted me to, and in a second, her tongue rose up and flicked at my tip, licking ever more at my cum as I was about to explode with the stuff.

“Twilight!” I couldn't help myself! I couldn't stop my hips from flicking, diving my cock deep inside her muzzle, feeling my head poke against the back of her throat. “S-Sorry! I'm—“

But there was no way I could say anymore when she threw her muzzle into my crotch, taking the rest of my length for me, as the silky walls of her throat clenched around my cock. For the moment I had, I flicked my hips, thrusting my cock deeper inside of her, trying to bank of the softness and tightness pressing all around my member, like it was trying to milk it dry for the seed that I possessed.

I was just about to finish when Twilight pulled her muzzle off of me. I wanted to cry and scream when my dick, once kept hot by her maw, cooled in the open air, only warmed by her left-over drool. It took everything inside of me to not grip my dick, jerk one out, all so the aching inside of it would go away.

But I was drawn by the way Twilight fell onto her back. She laid between my legs, legs in the air, curled into themselves, exposing her chest, belly, and leaking little pussy. She had brushed her tail to the side, leaving for me to devour the sight.

I wasn't even thinking anymore when I got to my knees. I crawled on top of her, watching as she shrunk into herself, rolling her head away, cheeks full of pink. She was looking away, like she was scared, though she would toss a glance my way, all the way from underneath her thick mane.

I winced from how cute this little mare could be, from how long and slim her barrel was, to the thickness of her flanks and the silkiness of her mane. Everything about her was perfection; I wondered if that was true of all ponies here. But I didn't care for the moment—I needed her as much as she needed me.

So I brought my hand down to her chin, and tilting it toward me, dived my lips against hers again. She kissed back. Her lips overlapped mine as she tried to take more of me for myself. Our tongue danced and played out little games again. I couldn't get enough of how soft and warm and wet her's was.

It only got better and worse as I dropped my body on hers, not my full weight, but enough to pin her to the bed—my revenge for her rump crushing my cock from before. She moaned and yelped into the air when I held her legs and hooves down.

And we both gasped when my cock pressed down against the expanse of her belly. Twilight gasped in such a cute way when she felt it, looking down her chest and staring at it. She was warm and soft. Her fur brushed along my underside. I started to roll my hips.

Twilight gasped more and more as my cock slide along her stomach, her fur brushing against my side, the weight of my dick pressing down into her soft skin. I was rolling myself back now, bringing myself closer to her crotch, feeling wetness catch to my skin.

I could smell her now, too, with her tail out of the way. The air filled with the musk of her pussy, strong and alluring, making my head go crazy—both of them, in fact. Bringing my length to her slit, her fuzzy vulva greeted my skin.

“T-Twilight.” My cock sunk into her slit, each side sandwiched by her folds, keeping my self there as I thrust slowly. Even while I held her down, Twilight brought her thighs closer together, feeling the lips of her pussy trying to clamp down on my cock. “I... don't think I can hold myself back for much longer...”

“...neither can I, Jak....” Twilight never stopped looking into my eyes while I lowered myself, watching her mouth pant all the while. Pulling my cock back, my head rested at her entrance, slipping an inch past her soft folds. “...please, I can't wait anymore...”

That was all, and what, I needed to hear. Very slowly, my cock sunk inside her pussy, greeted at first by the tightness of her walls, which began to split part the deeper I went. Careful. I was being careful. Twilight's pussy was unbearably tight. My cock ached while inside her, but I didn't want to do anything to harm her.

So we took it slow. I took it slow. Sliding my cock all the way in, having it ache ever more, soothe only when her walls clamped and clenched on my girth and on my length. Then, with a small shove, I was all the way inside.

We both gasped as I hunched over her body. Our faces were together again, our eyes looking away, our mouths breathing faster than our hearts. With some courage, we faced each other again, and with a love so sudden for each other, our lips became one.

We made out, slower than before, as I pulled my hips back. Then with a rough kiss, I pushed all the way in, feeling her gasp into my mouth, though she didn't pull away. She only flicked her hips. Rocking them as best as she could. With every thrust, her thighs came closer together, squeezing my cock all the tighter from inside her.

Faster. My hips rocked faster. My cock dove in harder. The walls of her pussy split far enough to accommodate my size and length, clenching down when I was fully inside, trying to hold me back whenever I pulled back.

Our kiss deepened above. Though my body was atop of her's, I let my hands let her limbs go free. There was a better use for them. One was to have one rest on the back of her head, helping to keep it up as her tongue wrestled with mine.

My other hand, being the selfish bastard it was, snaked its way down its side. My fingers traced along the bone of her wing, making it slowly flare out as she moaned in response. Wings were sensitive? Good to know for a novel.

But like I said: that hand was selfish. It traced down her wing and back to her side, feeling the fur brush underneath my finger trip, drawing along the curves of her hip. Then, with a smile, I felt my hand come to her rump, settling on her right flank, which I gave a good hard squeeze.

Another yelp. Another moan. Another thrust deep inside.

Things were getting quicker. My cock ached harder than any time ever before. The walls of her pussy massaged against my member, coating it with her wetness, making it easier for me to slip back inside, again and again, each time quicker than the last—my thighs slapping against hers.

“Mmmhmm.” I pulled out of the kiss for a second, staring deeply into Twilight's eyes. “Twilight. I'm almost there.”

“Good.” Twilight retook my lips, nibbling on my top lip. “Finish your first draft inside of me, writer.”

Weird, but kinky. We went back into the kiss, the aching in my cock ready to explode, as I was full-on humping Twilight Sparkle's tight little pussy. We kept going on as quick and as hard as we could imagine, unable to kiss as all we could do was moan. Soon, it was all too much, and I shoved my cock deep inside her, feeling as her pussy crushed along my member.

I came.

I came harder and better than any time before in my life. Twilight's pussy clamped around my member, denying it from moving as it squeezed my seed out from me, massaging it even while we both were coming.

From the entrance of her pussy, I could feel our cum leaking out from under us, pouring onto the sheets.

We didn't say much after that. Catching our breaths and slowing our hearts were all we could handle during our joint bliss. My cock gradually shrunk, slipping out from her warm pussy all on its own, tired and spent like its owner.

It took all of my remaining willpower not to pass out. Lying onto my back, I lifted Twilight with me, my hand still on her flank, feeling her softness fill out between my fingers. She draped her body along my stomach, resting her head against my chest. Her eyes were closed and her lips were wide in a smile. “I... thank you, Jak.”

“Think you took my line.”

She only giggled. “I'm excited for tomorrow.”

“For the first time in my life,” I replied, “so am I.”

“By the way, Jak, I hope you know I was being serious during our talk.” She nuzzled my chest, her mane tickling my skin. “I really am going to help you write again, even if that means being your editor and...” she paused to giggle “...doing other things.”

My heart raced again. I hoped Twilight would mistake it for something else.

“But I have a feeling you'll enjoy my friends a lot.” Twilight sighed. “They're going to be great characters to write about.” She giggled again. “There are many ways for you to write about them too, if you get to know them well enough.”

Something about the way she said that threw me off. “I'm... sure that will be the case, Twilight.”

“So much for you to explore, Jak.” I laid my head back, both scared and excited for the tomorrow, and hoping that my lies could be as consistent as my heartbeat. It killed me to lie, but worse would be being away from Twilight. “Those, if it's okay, there's one thing I would like to ask you.”

I smiled. “Shoot away, Twilight.”

“Okay then.” She cleared her throat. “On the book you wrote, how come the name was different?”
