In The Town

While in Ponyville Applejack was buying extra supplies for Sweet Apple Acres in Ponyville as it had been a while since she had shopped for anything so she wanted to get the stuff as quickly as she could.

It took her a while to browse through the choices in the open market stands in Ponyville and since she didn't have enough bits she would just have to deal with what she had to use.

As she worked to get the supplies she remembered how she was to one to go out and get everything since Big Mcintosh had a cold and had to stay inside leaving the farm work to her and Apple Bloom who was still learning on how to take care of Sweet Apple Acres.

Soon she got the rest of the supplies for Sweet Apple Acres and went back to pay for it all as she had promised each vendor she would do that, once she got that out of the way she lugged all of her stuff back to Sweet Apple Acres as she walked along the long road through Ponyville.

Before she made it to Ponyville she saw that Rarity her best friend and bearer of the element of generosity was sitting on a bench staring at a picture, she decided to go meet up with Rarity before she made it back home when she did Rarity noticed her and greeted her, Applejack went up to her and say by her.

"Hey Applejack, I had no idea you would be out and about in town today, I came into town because I went to speak to Starlight over at Sugarcube Corner and then came over here because I have a lot of stuff on my mind, what are you doing?" Rarity asked.

"Ah I was getting extra supplies for Sweet Apple Acres, Big Mac is a little bit under the weather so I have been taking over a few more responsibilities at Sweet Apple Acres that's all. What do you have on your mind?" Applejack asked, Rarity looked away.

"I still feel bad for trying to discourage Twilight from doing ballet, I....know it was a long time ago but the way I acted was inappropriate, she has done all that she could to save us from dangerous situations in the past, whether it's changing us back to our true selves after Discord negatively changed us or desperately fight Tirek when he came to harm Ponyville, she has put her life on the line for us and yet I tried to discourage her from doing ballet even after all that she had done, I hate myself for it and I wish I had never acted the way I acted." Rarity said as she started to cry, Applejack had Rarity look at her.

"Rarity listen, it's in the past now, you apologized so you shouldn't beat yourself up anymore, you redeemed yourself right after and she forgave you so don't try and feel bad anymore just forget about it and continue your support for Twilight." Applejack said, Rarity realized that Applejack was right.

"Thanks Applejack...I should just move on and leave it all behind as I just continue my support for Twilight's endeavors." Rarity admitted, Applejack patted the seamstress on the back.

"That's what I'm talking about! See? Didn't I just make you feel better or what? You can always depend on the local farm girl." Applejack boasted, Rarity giggled.

"Yes I can depend on you, thank you for that Applejack I really needed that, I'm going to go back to Carousel Boutique, take care Applejack." Rarity stated, Applejack nodded and Rarity went home as Applejack watched her.

After that discussion ended Applejack went to Sweet Apple Acres and dropped off all of her supplies and went inside the main house near the farm where Granny Smith was waiting for her as she had taken a lot longer to get their.

"Y'all sure are late, whenever you do a task for Sweet Apple Acres y'all take almost an hour to complete." Granny Smith said, Applejack did respond and set down the stuff and headed upstairs as she had Twilight on her mind.

"You alright Applejack? You acting mighty strange?" Granny Smith commented, Applejack walked past her and headed upstairs to her room.

"Sorry Granny...I just have a lot on my mind so I'm going to lay down for awhile...." Applejack said, Granny Smith just stared at her in concern.

"Uh...alright then, y'all just rest and I'll make supper tonight..." She said as she watched Applejack head up the stairs she hoped that Applejack didn't get Big Mac's cold.

Upstairs Applejack sat on her bed looking at her hands thinking about the incident between Rarity and Twilight, even if it was years ago she reflected on hearing about it she wondered what would happen if Twilight had never gone through with her desire of being a ballet dancer, she knew that Twilight probably would have ended her life if it ended up like that but she was glad that it didn't turn out like that.

Applejack reached into her nightstand and pulled out a personal copy of a photo of Twilight in her leotard holding her ballet shoes smiling get after competing in a dance competition, it was one of Applejack's favorite photo's of Twilight, she stared at it as she felt grief over the work and the intense negative reaction from Rarity the princess of friendship faced when she said that she wanted to become a ballerina.

"Twilight....please don't ever give up yall's dream even if it means pushing your entire body and soul..." Applejack whispered, as Applejack stared at the photo she fell off the bed and collapsed to her knees while she held her face in her hands as she breathed heavily teetering on the edge of tears feeling like she was going to cry.

"You have no idea how sorry I felt for you for what you went through..." Applejack whispered as she knelt there overcome with emotion that was coursing through her overwhelming her resolve.
