The Alicorns were to blame. These horrid beasts sought out destruction of all the lesser species, species that were not worthy to roam the world, and they did so freely and without hindrance. Until one day, the stars had had enough of the destructive forces of the alicorns, and saw them as a threat had they found a way to spread. The stars blessed upon this world a mighty foe against the alicorns, his name was Draco (Star constellation of the dragon, AKA Draconis). Draco was a wise and benevolent creature, who sought purification and harmony for the land, he was the first among a race known in his tongue as 'Alikiin'... The Alicorn Born... The Alikiin could only first be found as a dragon, until several hundred years after Draco, his grand son Riscor. Riscor was the final dragon Alikiin, and the only way that he could be sure that all chaos was removed from this world was to trap all the forces inside himself, The Great Sacrifice. The forces were far too great for his form, he was viciously warped into a beast of pure chaos as they passed through him. However with the last bit of harmony he had he created a portal for the forces to flow into, a portal to a place only known as Oblivion. Unfortunately, the last bit of harmony that Riscor retained was not enough for all the beasts, two remained, but when their souls were forced through Riscor all chaos in their form left them, they defeated Riscor and trapped him and all chaos he absorbed. With that the powers for the Alikiin were lost to the land. The two Alicorns left sought only divinity and equality for the world they were in. With their mighty powers untainted by chaos, a world began to form. They populated the world with various forms of creature, and made three different races in their figure, Unicorns, Pegasi, and Ponies of the Earth. The two alicorns grew to love the world and all that was in it, they named it Equestria, and they ruled it with harmony and love in their minds. The two alicorns came to know each other as Cellestia and Luna, Princesses of Equestria. ~ As told by Essan Manar Twilight Sparkle placed the book back down on the table. “Alicorn History” the title said. It was the only volume in the set. From what she could tell, Alicorn history had been largely overlooked. Before Discord showed up, it was said that Alicorns roamed all across Equestria. But hardly anything was said about what they did during that time. Twilight placed her hoof on her chin. Maybe Princess Celestia can tell me some things, Twilight thought to herself. She placed the book in her bag, the last piece of luggage she would be bringing to Canterlot, to go see the Summer Sun Celebration. She and her friends were cordially invited by Celestia to attend. Twilight was always excited to do anything with her friends. “Hey Twilight,” Spike, her dragon assistant called. “Are you ready or what? Everybody is waiting for you!” Twilight closed up her bag. “Coming!” Twilight yelled. She galloped down the stairs to where her friends were waiting. “What have you been doing Egghead?” Rainbow Dash said. “Sorry girls, I got caught up in one of my books. It's about-” Twilight was about to continue until her friend, Applejack, stuck a hoof into Twilight's mouth. “Nuh uh sugarcube, we can't have you go summarizing books right now.” Applejack said with a frown. “If we don't hoof it, we're going to be late! And you know how far Canterlot is from Ponyville.” Twilight pulled Applejack's hoof from her mouth and frowned at her. “Of course I know Applejack. But fear not! I've got a teleporting spell!” All of Twilight's friends gave her a fearful look. Rarity stepped forward. “Ahahaha, Twilight I know that you want to use that Teleporting spell, but you see I don't think it'd be such a good idea to use it right now.” Rarity was trying her best to not hurt Twilight's feelings. “But it will get us there instantly.” Twilight said. She gave her friends a confusing look. “Twilight, I'm going to be frank with you, that spell of yours has caused disasters.” Twilight looked at Rarity, more confused then before. “Name one time!” Twilight shouted. Her friends all looked at her. “That time we teleported to an alternate reality.” Rarity said first. “That time we warped back in time.” Applejack said. “That time we warped into Pinkie Pie's mind!” Rainbow Dash said. “The time we warped into Clonetrooperkev's room.” Pinkie Pie said. The writer shuddered when he wrote that line. “Or how about the time you caused a magical explosion?” Fluttershy said. Twilight sighed and surrendered. “Fine. How are we getting there?” Twilight asked. “Well, if you weren't so busy reading your books, you would have remembered that Celestia sent us a carriage?” Rarity said with a smile. Twilight looked off to the side and simply said, “Oh.” The others rolled their eyes. As they made their way to the exit, Pinkie Pie did a cartwheel out the door. “Woohoo!” The Pink pony screamed. “The Summer Sun Celebration is my favorite kind of Summer Celebration! Well except for birthdays, cookouts, and that thing that Clonetrooperkev said to try, binge parties.” The writer regretted telling Pinkie about that one. *Note: Pinkie Pie encourages you to drink responsibly. Twilight and her friends loaded their luggage, attached Applejack's Apple Cart, got aboard the carriage and went off to see the Summer Sun Celebration for the second time since their Friendship began. But elsewhere, in the city of Trottenheim, was a pony named Orion, who was searching through his father's books to solve an ancient mystery. “Dad said that this day would come. Question is, what's going to happen? His father was a researcher in Alicorn History and was a very well respected member in the field, until he went insane and talked about the “end of the world.” Orion was a bartender, he simply wanted to have ponies come in and be happy. But while visiting his father, he was told of an impeding doom that was supposed to happen today during the Summer Sun Celebration. His father, who had a heart condition, died shortly after he was told to stop it. Orion had no idea if it was true or not, but he owed it to his father to check and see if his theory had any legitimacy to it. He eventually came across a notebook with the language of the dragons written in it with a translation. He went to last page that had writing on it. He read aloud. “On this day, the land will know true fear. On this day, the land will burn. After the brave sacrifice of Discord, who gave up his sanity and body to Chaos, he sent a majority of the terrible, destructive Alicorns to a plane where none would be harmed. However, two were able to remain and trap the broken dragon.” Orion looked up, he couldn't believe that Discord was anything besides that creature that wrecked Equestria. “But I guess that's what happens when you give yourself up to chaos.” Orion continued to read. “It will be 1500 years until the need to stop the Alicorns comes again. And on this day, the celebration of the sun, it will be the two Alicorns and six keys that unlock the portal to where the rest of the banished Alicorns are.” Orion then took on a face of fear. “And it will be the end of days. The creatures of the land will fight each other amidst the carnage, and the Alicorns will make their power known. But there are some who can fight against these creatures. Some who can instill fear in the Alicorns. In our tongue they are 'Alikiin' . . . Alicorn Born!” Orion placed the book in his satchel and ran out of his father's house. He knew if he was going to have any chance of stopping this from happening, he had to go to Canterlot and stop the celebration somehow. Orion knew his father, he was as eccentric as can be, but he was honest. And would never lie about the end of the world, insanity or not. Orion rushed to a carriage that had Canterlot as it's destination. He would stop this, no matter the cost. If it was jail, he would serve his time. If it was death, then he would die happy knowing that either an apocalypse was not going to happen, or if he prevented it. No matter how many ways he painted it, he knew he had to stop it. He wasn't too strong, nor did he have knowledge in fighting whatsoever, but he would try. Orion looked down. “I just hope I'm not too late.” The carriage took off to Canterlot, where the Summer Sun Celebration and the hour of doom, were approaching. Tales of Equestria Tales of Equestria Twilight and the others were enjoying a nice ride in the carriage supplied to them by Celestia. They all had thoughts in their heads about what they were going to do. Twilight would finally get a conversation in with the Princess, talking about anything she wanted. Applejack would set up her Apple Stand and sell anything she could. Business before pleasure, Applejack thought. Rarity would try to get into the good graces of the people of Canterlot. Truly, they were the elite that was meant for her. At least she thought so. Fluttershy would be playing with all the animals she could find, making sure to stay away from the animals in the palace. She didn't need a repeat of last year. Rainbow Dash had her eyes set on the prize of becoming a Wonderbolt at last. There was a competition being held that would test Pegasi and if they passed, they were to become Wonderbolts. Rainbow Dash squealed in anticipation. Pinkie Pie would of course do what she did best, but would also keep an eye on her friends, her Pinkie Sense was telling her that something worse than a “Doozy” would happen. She didn't think anything of it, mainly because of Princess Celestia and Princess Luna. Two of the most powerful creatures in the land would be able to stop whatever the threat was. Pinkie stared out the window and looked at her beautiful land of Equestria. She was brought back to reality by Spike, who was pulling on her mane. “Pinkie!” Spike said, “Are you feeling okay? You've been real quiet.” Spike said with a sad look on his face. He hated it when any of his friends were sad. All he wanted was his friends, his family, to be together to enjoy the celebration. Pinkie Pie quickly put a smile on her face. “It's okay Spikey Wikey!” Pinkie yelled. “We're on our way to Canterlot to PARTAY!” Pinkie jumped around in pure bliss. No one could know the fear she felt. The rest of her friends yelled with her in happiness. They all discussed their plans with each other, laughing all the while and telling each other tales to shorten the trip. Rainbow Dash told the tale of the Wonderbolts and how they were formed. They were a force that was made for the sole purpose of defending Equestria. Apparently, in the old days, anyone was allowed to be recruited. By that she meant Earth Ponies and Unicorns were up for the job, as well as non pony creatures. Twilight's eye brow rose. “So they weren't always flyers?” She asked. “Nah, they were like, 'the Best Warriors in the Land!' and they would fight against whatever evil came their way.” Rainbow Dash said with a smile. “But now they're the team you see today, which is still awesome but I don't think they fight as much as they normally do.” Applejack snickered. “That explains why they didn't help us when there was an imminent disaster.” Twilight nodded in agreement while Rainbow Dash was wearing a frown. “Whatever, they're still the best flyers out there, and I'm going to join them!” Rainbow was determined that this would be the time that her dream would come true. Applejack smiled at her friend's dream. “Okay,” Applejack said, “It's my turn for a story. This takes place a long time ago. The Apple family was known as, 'The Apple Clan.' We harvested apples of course, but we were also a clan of warriors that fought against giant monsters that wanted to burn down our orchards.” Applejack said this while posing as a, “monster.” She continued, “So there was this one warrior called, 'Applebjorn', and there was this dragon-” She looked over at Spike, who was following her story beat for beat, and acknowledged that the dragon was the bad guy in this story. “And he was tearing up the orchard something awful. So, Applebjorn used a power that somehow attracted the dragon over to him. So there he was, standing on a cliff, waiting for the dragon to come over. Applebjorn stood on the cliff wearing Equestrian Armor, made just for him. His helmet had a spike on it that acted as his weapon. The dragon roared breathing fire as he approached the cliff.” Applejack was trying her best to motion the story for her friends, who were completely lost in the story of the Apple Warrior of old. “Applebjorn stood ready for the dragon, he wouldn't dare disappoint it by running away. The dragon rose above Applebjorn, and swooped down to kill him. Applebjorn only stood there. The dragon screamed at it's prey.” Applejack saw the faces of anticipation on her friend's faces. “Applebjorn then jumped in the air, screaming all the while, and scared the dragon.” “Hold on.” Rarity interrupted. All of her friends looked at her, angry for stopping the story. “He scared the dragon by yelling at it?” Applejack smiled. “Eeyup, besides being a great warrior, he was known to have a powerful voice that could do many things.” Everypony nodded and motioned for Applejack to continue the story. “Anyway,” She looked at each one of her friends, making sure they weren't going to interrupt her, “the dragon faltered in flight and was surprised by this small pony pushing him back. And before he knew it, remaining still was the worst and last mistake of his life. Applebjorn jumped onto the dragons head and forced it to land. As they got closer to the ground, Applebjorn gave the dragon stabs from his lance to the dragon's head. The dragon crashed into the land below, sending Applebjorn flying who landed on his feet. The dragon tried to rise, but Applebjorn came back and slashed it's throat. The Apple Clan never had to worry about another dragon coming to mess up their orchard.” Everypony applauded to Applejack's story. Applejack did simple bows. “Thank you, thank you.” Rarity cleared her throat. “Yes that was a great story that talked about your brutish family origins.” Applejack frowned at her friend for making a rude remark, but it was expected of her. And I'd hate to interrupt but Canterlot is in view!” All of the ponies rushed to the window to see the crowning achievement of Ponykind, the city of Canterlot. Twilight gazed at her old home, mixed feelings returned to her. Her family and teacher were here, but she had no friends there to catch up with. But, all those negative feelings disappeared as she looked at her new friends, all here and with her. She looked back at Canterlot, with anticipation. Orion was reading through his father's notes and kept coming back to the “Alikiin” as the dragons called it. Apparently they were ponies that could possess the magical potential of Alicorns and could master any magic of any creature in Equestria. That ranged from dragons to Alicorns, he thought. One would know the “Alikiin” from their extreme ability to summon a large amount of magic. “The only ponies with that kind of potential are the bearers of the Elements of Harmony, and they serve the princess.” Orion put his hoof to his chin. “With that power, they could just about do anything.” Orion gasped, he turned to the page about the “six keys” in the prophecy. “Six Harmony bearers, six keys! I got to get to Canterlot faster.” He leaned out the window to the ponies pulling the carriage. “Hey you guys live in 'Trottenheim' right?” The ponies nodded. “If you can get me to Canterlot as soon as possible, you never have to pay for a drink at the bar I work at for the rest of your lives.” The ponies nodded with smiles on their faces and dashed to Canterlot. Orion had a look of fear on his face. Meeting the Elements meant he had to face an old, “friend” of his. Somepony that he pushed around when he was a foal. “Sparkle, don't hold a grudge please.” He said while looking at Canterlot in his window. The Past Hurts The Past Hurts Celestia looked over her kingdom on the highest tower in Canterlot. Everything she saw was her doing. She made Ponies a force to be reckoned with, she helped build towns like Ponyville, Manehatten, and Stalliongrad with her power and will. And she made her empire a peaceful one. Removing any doubt her subjects had in her. This was her kingdom, the kingdom her kind deserved. She regretted many things she did over the years to make her dream come true. She had to deceive a pony or two here and there, but ultimately it was for the start of something new. Luna came up behind her. “It appears the day has come at last.” Luna smiled. “All those years of planning, all the times of deceit, all for this day.” Celestia looked to her sister with her ever knowing smile. “Yes Luna, finally the damage Discord did will be ultimately erased, his failure will be complete.” Celestia motioned for Luna to follow her. “Is everything prepared?” Luna nodded and said, “Yes, we've made it so the ceremony will take place in front of the portal. When you raise the sun, I'll get the Elements to power the portal. With the power of the sun and the power of the Elements, the portal will open and our brothers and sisters will finally be free.” Celestia glared at Luna. “They will be free Luna, but do not mistake the fact that in order for our dream to come true, we have to keep our position of power. If we lose that, we'll be disorganized and will fall prey to what happened before.” Luna shrugged. “I know big sister, worry not.” Luna smiled. “You know I've made the sacrifices just like you did, perhaps even more so.” Celestia saw the anger in Luna's eyes. She still held a grudge for her, “banishment.” Everything that happened, aside from when Discord broke free, was all staged for the big show that would happen tonight. Celestia laughed with excitement, “This is going to be quite the party.” Twilight and her friends got off the carriage and made their way to the Ceremony. The party was in full swing at this point. Thousands of ponies, dancing, drinking, playing games, and just having a good time. Twilight and the others smiled with excitement. Twilight was the first to speak. “Well girls? What should we do first?” Applejack responded, “I have to get my Apple stand set up. I can't miss this opportunity to make some bits.” She pushed her Apple cart to a position that would get her a lot of patrons. Twilight slumped her shoulders and turned to Rainbow Dash to find that she was already off, flying to the Wonderbolt try outs. She saw Rarity talking with some Unicorns that belong to the cultural elite of Canterlot, obviously enjoying herself. Fluttershy was moving with impressive speed to the woods near Canterlot. Twilight didn't want to take Fluttershy away from a place she felt most comfortable. And Pinkie Pie was . . . “WOOOOOOHOOOOOO!” Pinkie Pie was screaming and firing her Party Cannon all over the place. “You can't stop Pinkie Pie.” Twilight said looking at the ground. Spike patted her mane. “It's okay Twilight, you still got me.” Spike said. Twilight smiled, “Thank you Spike. What would you like to do?” “Well I was thinking we could-” Spike was interrupted when Pinkie Pie grabbed him and started dancing with him. They both disappeared into the crowd. Twilight was alone in Canterlot, again. She decided to walk to her old study place and see what was happening there. Orion got off his carriage and made a signed agreement with the ponies pulling his carriage about the drinks. He turned to face Canterlot, his old home, where he shamed himself. Orion rushed to Ceremony as fast as he could. He ran past so many places that flooded his mind with memories. He eventually came upon his old school for gifted unicorns. He cringed at the sight of this place, he always felt uncomfortable here, after what he did. He shook his head and continued to run to the Ceremony. He looked back at the school just once, until he knocked into somepony. “Oof!” he said as he fell. His satchel opened up, send his father's notes flying everywhere. “Sorry!” he said to the pony he knocked into. He tried his best to gather his things and get out of there. “Maybe you should watch where you're going next time?” The pony he knocked into was a mare. Orion organized all of the notes and placed it in his bag. “I know, but I've got to get to-” He turned to the mare he bumped into, turns out he knew her. The purple mare had a shocked expression just like Orion did. All those years, all those painful memories returned all at once to the two ponies. “Hey there . . . Sparkle.” Orion said softly. “Hi . . . Orion.” Twilight said with a look of fear and sadness. The two looked at each other with so much awkwardness it would fill Equestria ten times over. Orion was the first to speak. “So um . . . how have you been doing?” Orion was trying his best not to bring up any painful emotions or memories within Twilight. “Oh . . . great. Thanks for asking.” Twilight said with a chuckle. Scratch ten times over, make that 20 times over on the “Awkward Meter.” Orion knew he had to say something to her, he had to say a lot of things to her. But the most important was the prophecy he found and how it concerned her. “Listen, Twilight, we have to talk about something, it's very important.” Orion said. Twilight glared at Orion. “Oh? Are you going to apologize for what you did to me?” Twilight asked. Orion shook his head and said, “You know I apologized a thousand times over for what I did, and I sent you many letters saying how sorry I was, which you never responded to.” Twilight gave a deeper glare to Orion. “Yeah well, maybe an apology is just too little for me.” Orion was confused, he apologized and left the school after what he did. Why is she still feeling anger? “Twilight, I don't know what else I could say or do for you.” Orion said. “Well maybe you should, considering what you did.” Twilight turned her head to Orion. “Twilight, I think about that day all the time. I know I hurt you, but not to this point.” Memories suddenly filled Orion's mind. It was a winter's day in Canterlot many years ago. Twilight was reading a book while a “Hearth Warming” party was going on. She always hated those parties, she couldn't relate to anyone. Suddenly, she heard a knock at the door. A blue unicorn came in. “Hey there Sparkle, what are you doing in here by yourself? Don't you know it's a party?” She continued to read her book. “Not interested.” She couldn't have said that without any less emotion, Orion thought. “Come on Twilight, we've got a lot of fun stuff out there, and it wouldn't kill you to socialize for a bit right?” Twilight lifted her head from her book. “Just five minutes, and then I promise if you ain't having fun you can come back to this dark library and read about whatever it is you read about.” Twilight gave a weak smile to Orion. “Ok, you win Orion, let me put this book away first though.” Twilight said with a smile. She went off to the section where the book belong. “You do that Sparkle.” Orion said with a smile. He exited the room and came out to a bunch of ponies that were waiting for him. “Well?” An orange unicorn asked. “Is she coming out?” Orion snickered. “Yeah she's coming. You can pull your prank now.” He trotted away from the door and went off to get some punch, only to find the bowl missing. He turned around to see it levitated above the door Twilight was going to come out of. He dashed back to the door to stop them. But he was too late. The door opened with a happy Twilight Sparkle coming out. The punch fell from the bowl and onto Twilight Sparkle. Orion was shocked, he knew they were going to prank her, but not so meanly. The other ponies laughed like hyenas at Twilight. They pushed her and shoved her around while she was just sitting on the ground.Twilight started to cry, and as Orion was trying to make his way towards her, she saw him and erupted in anger. With that, her eyes started to glow, and all the other ponies stepped away from Twilight. She lifted her body off and gave off a huge magical discharge. Orion used his special talent of creating shields to save everypony. The building itself however, was destroyed. A few days later, there was a hearing with Celestia as the judge. The hall was filled up with Ponies except for Twilight Sparkle. Orion stood before Celestia looking down all the while. “Well?” Celestia said, “What do you have to say Orion? Who was responsible for this?” Orion looked up and said, “I was the eldest pony there Princess, I should have stopped the prank before it began.” He looked back down again. Celestia shook her head. “I thought that one day, you'd become a pony that would earn honor and respect. Perhaps one day, become a Guardian of Equestria.” Celestia looked away and said, “But I guess that isn't your destiny. Orion closed his eyes, he knew what was coming next. “Orion, you are hereby expelled from the school with no chance of re-enrollment. What's more, you are no longer eligible for holding a position in the Ministry of Magic.” Orion walked out of the court, with ponies yelling at him and throwing things at him. Celestia then teleported him back to Trottenheim back to where his father was. Orion's father looked at how broken Orion was and said, “Oh my.” Orion looked at Twilight who still felt the pain of that day. “Twilight I paid the price, and I'm carrying it with me, even now.” Twilight turned away from him and started walking away. Orion grunted. “Twilight, none of that will matter if we don't stop what's coming.” Twilight stopped and turned to Orion. “And what do we need to stop Orion?” Twilight asked with a hint of spite. Orion put on a stern face and said, “The end of Equestria as we know it.” The RevivalTwilight could only chuckle at that statement. She rolled her eyes at Orion and started to make her way back to her friends at the ceremony. “Twilight I'm being serious here.” Orion rushed up to Twilight and pulled out his father's notes. “My dad studied Alicorn history, and he went to many different species in our land to find out about Alicorns.” He opened up a book showcasing the different histories from Dragons, Zebras, and even Diamond Dogs. Twilight only gazed ahead with a bored look. “Now all of these species have been inconsistent, but the one thing they all agreed on was the return of the Alicorn, and what doom it would bring.” Twilight frowned at Orion. “Then how can you explain Celestia then? She sure doesn't seem like the doom bringer your father's research suggests, if it can be even trusted.” Orion stopped and said, “Look I know it's insane, but if it's true don't you think it's worth investigating? At least take a look at the notes.” He shoved the book into Twilight's hooves. “The notes were taken before his mental breakdown. Reading them has taken me to the logical conclusion.” Twilight just looked at the book curiously, and then returned it to Orion. “Orion, you're a jerk. But I thought you were sane at least.” Orion glared at Twilight. “Faust Damn it Twilight! If you'd stop holding this grudge, you'd see I was right. I freely admit I was a jerk for setting you up like that, and I took the responsibility and paid the price.” Twilight stopped again. “And you know I was a good student just like you. So you know that I'm right.” Orion sighed and looked at his book again. “I don't know what happened to you that made you have a magical discharge like that, but at least look at the notes. If you come to a different conclusion, then I'll leave it alone, because frankly I'd rather be working at my bar than having to talk to some pony that has her head stuck up her ass.” He slammed the research notes into Twilight's hooves again. He started walking off to the ceremony. “When you find out what's what, I'll be at the cafe.” Twilight spent the longest while reading through Orion's father's notes. It was as he said, all the species he asked about Alicorns talked about an apocalyptic day that told about the return of the Alicorn's. “But why would Princess Celestia allow this to happen?” Twilight was puzzled, unlike the Nightmare Moon threat, there was no friendship lesson to be learned from a horde of powerful creatures bent on the destruction of all pony kind . . . of all creatures for that matter. But she simply couldn't bring herself to believe that her mentor could be responsible for the end of Equestria; or, for that matter, the end of the ponies who had trusted in her benevolent rule for over a thousand years. She knew this information was just too important to toss away. She rushed over to where Orion was, he was just sitting there, looking at his hooves. “Orion!” Twilight yelled. Orion looked up and met Twilight as she was running towards him. “You're right, this information can't be ignored.” Twilight thought that Orion would be a jerk and give the, “I told you so” act to her. Orion simply nodded. “We should get to the main ceremony grounds and try to stop it-” Twilight interrupted him. “IF- there is something to stop.” Twilight said with a raised voice. “Look better safe than sorry right? Besides, I'll get the chance to walk around with a real star from what I've heard.” Orion said with a smirk. Twilight rolled her eyes and said, “Let's just get this over with Orion.” “Gladly.” He said. They started walking to where Celestia was going to raise the sun when I Orion said, “By the way? Told you so.” Twilight cringed in anger at Orion. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ In the far off Dragon country of, “Dovas”, an elder Dragon sat above a mountain peak looking towards Equestria. Dark unnatural clouds were moving towards the peaceful land. The elder Dragon known as “Prose” shook his head and said, “So, the age of peace is coming to an end.” He took off from the mountain to inform his people of the news. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Twilight and Orion arrived at the ritual ground where Celestia would be raising the sun, to see that almost everypony in Canterlot was already there. Orion frowned and said, “It's going to be tough to do an investigation with all these ponies around.” Twilight nodded her head. “And the ceremony is starting soon.” Twilight chewed on her hoof to think. Orion snickered and asked, “You still do that when you're trying to think?” Twilight glared at Orion. “It's a perfectly normal thing to do, given the situation we're thinking about.” Twilight's eyes suddenly widened. “What do you mean 'you still do that'?” she asked. “Well um-” Before Orion could answer, there was a booming voice coming from the stage Celestia would be performing her Ceremony. It was Princess Luna, using the traditional Canterlot voice. “Citizens of Equestria, we shall begin the Celebration of the Sun shortly!” Luna announced. “We require, that the Elements of Harmony be present on stage!” Twilight looked at Orion and then looked back at the stage. “What should I do?” Twilight asked. “Go up there for now, but at the slightest sign of danger you need to make a dash out of there, okay?” Twilight nodded at Orion and made her way to the stage. She noticed her friends making their way up to the stage. Rainbow Dash was wearing a “Wonderbolts” T-shirt, Pinkie Pie was covered in confetti, Fluttershy still had birds in her hair, Rarity was doing a walk of a socialite, and Applejack was hauling large sacks of money that she earned from her stand. They all met on stage. “Howdy Twilight!” Applejack said. “How ya enjoyin' the celebration?” Applejack asked as she finished hauling her money on stage. Twilight smiled weakly. “Funny you should ask.” Twilight said. “I met-” She was interrupted by Princess Luna who stepped in between her and Applejack. “We require Twilight Sparkle and her friends to take these key positions on the stage, and to wear the Elements of Harmony.” Luna said to Twilight and her friends. She gave out the Elements to their respected bearers. Twilight gave a confused look to Luna. “It's something new we want to try this year. To have the Elements shine in the sun!” While Twilight wasn't convinced, she saw that all of her other friends had taken their places. “C'mon Twilight.” Applejack said. We don't want to keep the Princess waiting.” Applejack had a big smile on her face. It was obvious that Applejack trusted the Princesses completely. But for Twilight, after reading that book, something changed within her. It was at this point that Celestia made herself known. All the ponies in the crowd bowed, except for Orion, who was busy looking at Twilight, to make sure nothing was threatening her. “Thank you all for coming!” Celestia announced. “I'm sure this day will not be forgotten by any of you ponies out there!” the crowd erupted with cheers for their princess. Celestia turned to Luna and gave a nod. Luna then activated an enchantment on the spots the Element bearers were standing on. Twilight was the first to notice. “What the-?” She said before she noticed Celestia glowing with power. Orion looked up into the sky and saw the clouds converging on their location. He looked to where Twilight was standing. He saw her struggling. Orion, with a face of fear, rushed through the crowd of ponies to get to Twilight. “I've got to stop it before-” Orion made it through the crowd, but he already knew that he was too late. The normal yellow glow around Celestia turned into a blood red color that made the ponies in the crowd yell with fear and alarm. Suddenly, the Elements started to glow as well, and fired a focused beam of energy at Celestia. Twilight could only mutter an, “Oh no”, before Celestia fired a beam of energy into the sky of clouds. It looked like thunder and lightning were firing in the heavens above them. But slowly, a red circle made itself known in the sky, and within it, appeared to be shadowy figures of Alicorns. The ponies present cried in fear. Celestia and Luna gave devilish grins. “Welcome back, my people.” Celestia said. The Burning LandAnd it was said, the sky would run red with the rage of powerful beasts. These beasts would be around for the beginning, and the end. ~ Furor the Mythic Orion could only stare at the spectacle before him. Alicorns, just like Celestia and Luna, flying down from the sky. They only circled above at first, not doing anything, until one Alicorn swooped down, and fired a blast of energy at the crowd. Hundreds of ponies were gone in an instant. It was at this point reality returned to Orion, and he heard the screaming crowds of ponies, not wanting to die and were confused. Though Orion did know that this would happen, he was still confused by the situation. He got his head back in the game and took note of the situation. Hundreds of Alicorns were flying down from that portal and ponies were dying. Twilight and her friends were trapped in their places with no way out, just standing there with little choice, helping Celestia bring forth these Alicorns, these monsters. One Alicorn flew down and stood next to Celesta. “Oh dear sister, it's so good to be out of there.” This Alicorn had a fiery mane with a bright yellow coat. “Celesta it's so good to see you again. Thanks for getting us out of there.” Celestia simply smiled. “Your welcome Nova Wave.” Nova Wave was almost the same size as Celestia, but didn't have the same . . . “Composure” as her. “Are the Alicorns ready to serve me?” Nova bowed. “Everything has been done to your specifications sister. The Alicorns recognize your strength, and we will follow you.” Celestia laughed. “Excellent. However, it looks like some of our brothers and sisters got a little excited and killed some of our subjects.” Nova looked at Celestia. “What would you have us do to rectify the situation?” Nova asked. Celestia looked up and thought for a moment. “Eliminate all the ponies present.” Orion, Twilight, and her friends just stood there shocked. “We'll tell the rest of the Canterlot population that it was the Element Bearers that killed the crowd and I brought the Alicorns in to save them.” Celestia started to walk away. “Take care of it, won't you?” “PRINCESS!” Twilight yelled. She couldn't believe her ears, she couldn't believe her eyes, she didn't know what to believe anymore. But the princess didn't hear her, and with a flash, Celestia and Luna vanished. “It would be my pleasure sister.” Nova smiled and motioned that Alicorns in the sky to finish it. Orion quickly generated a shield to cover the retreat of the ponies in the crowd. The Alicorns roared in anger at this act of defiance. It wasn't easy for Orion to hold, especially since he was holding it while rushing over to Twilight and the others. When he saw that the other ponies were far away enough to fend for themselves, he deactivated his shield. “Twilight!” Orion yelled. Twilight looked back at Orion who was galloping across burning bodies and rubble to get to her. Just then, she noticed the Elements had stopped glowing and Twilight and her friends now had the liberty of movement. Nova Wave turned to Twilight. “Well now, it looks like this pony is guilty of being present.” Her horn started to flash. “It's a pity you weak creatures die so easily, I would have enjoyed torturing you.” She fired a beam at Twilight. Twilight could only stand there and wait, the doom of Equestria was already upon them, and Celestia had betrayed Twilight on every level. What else was there for her? She waited for the blast, for searing pain to consume her and her mind. But it never came, instead she saw Orion holding a concentrated shield around her and her friends. “Twilight!” Orion yelled. “Do you still know that teleportation spell?” Twilight couldn't believe what she saw, the jerk that betrayed her trust and caused her to destroy a building was protecting her. “Twilight!” He yelled again. “Yes, but where do we go?!” She asked. Orion turned around and placed his horn on to Twilight's. Suddenly, mental pictures flooded her mind. Pictures of a house, pictures of town, a location. She found a word for the location, “Trottenheim.” She took a step back. “Why did you-?” Orion interrupted her. “Later. For now, get us and your friends there right now! We'll be safe there.” Twilight looked around at all of her friends, they were all there. Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, and Spike. She turned to Orion and nodded. She placed the picture of Orion's home in her mind and powered up her spell. The Alicorns that were there swarmed around Orion's shield and were about to fire a concentrated beam that would destroy them. The beam fired, but Twilight managed to get them away just in the nick of time. Nova grimaced. But then she smiled. “No matter.” She said with confidence. “The hunt makes it all the more fun.” She turned to look at the burning part of the city and said, “Let's finish up here and then go back to the palace, to take our seats of power . . . under our dear sister.” Dark SkiesIn the silent town of Trottenheim, ponies exited their homes to see a spectacle. It wasn't the light snowfall or the dark clouds, abnormal in Equestria this time of year admittedly. But, it was the red fires in distance. Foals were smiling at the amazing sight. The full grown ponies could only look in fear towards the fires, for it was Canterlot. Canterlot was burning. Unbeknownst to them, there was a bright flash in the home of Orion's father, “Essan Manar.” The flash subsided, revealing seven ponies and a dragon, their bodies covered in soot, and their minds distraught. Twilight Sparkle, was far removed from reality, too far to notice her injuries or her friends injuries for that matter. Twilight didn't have a lot going through her mind, rather, she just had one question on her mind, “Why?”. Orion limped over to a first aid kit and got to work on Twilight and her friends. Applejack's mane was burnt a tiny bit but was otherwise okay. Rainbow Dash was in tears. Not over the destruction of Canterlot of the betrayal of her leaders, but the Wonderbolt shirt with the signatures of Soarin, Spitfire, and veteran “Warden”, was now ash. Pinkie, who's mane was poofy during the party, was now completely flat. Orion had knew of Pinkie's parties through notoriety only and that those parties could lift anyponies spirit. What kind of party could fix this bucking situation. Rarity was dusting herself off and was rambling. “I-I cannot- WILL not believe that- that Celestia-” She teared up and started to cry. Orion saw that she was fine and checked on Fluttershy. She was already fixing up Spike, whose leg appeared to be broken. Orion smiled, Fluttershy appeared to be handling the situation well. “Hey um- Fluttershy was it?” Orion asked. She looked towards Orion and nodded. Orion passed some medical supplies to her. She smiled at him and got back to work on Spike. Orion then focused his attention on Twilight. She was obviously lost in thought. She had a cut on her leg as well as multiple burns on her back. She appeared to have been affected the most by that spell Celestia used. It makes sense Orion thought, She is the Element of Magic. He got to work on her. The patch job was easy, considering she didn't move at all. Orion marveled at his medical job. Apparently all those fights at the bar had taught him more than he thought. Orion then stood before his new friends and said, “Hey listen, it's probably not safe to travel out there.” Applejack, Fluttershy, and Rainbow Dash gave Orion their attention, but Twilight, Pinkie Pie, and Rarity were still distraught. “You're welcome to stay here for as long as you need to. I'd recommend getting some rest, you all did give out a lot of energy back there.” Applejack nodded. “Right, you got anywhere to sleep-?” Applejack gave a quizzical look to Orion. “Oh.” Orion said with a sudden realization. “My name is Orion, I'm an . . . 'acquaintance' of Twilight back in our school days.” Orion decided, now wasn't the best time to bring up the past. Applejack came up and shook Orion's hoof. “Good to know you Orion.” Applejack said. “Glad you came in when you did. A few more seconds and we'd be burned like when my little sister and her friends try to make breakfast.” This got a smile out of Rarity. Her thoughts drifted back to Sweetie Belle, who was far away from Canterlot before the attack. Orion chuckled a bit. “Well, we got some guest rooms on the second floor for you all to use.” Orion motioned for them all to go up stairs and sleep. Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy had to help Pinkie get to a bed, considering how lost she was. Applejack and Rarity were about to help Twilight when she spoke up. “No.” She said. Applejack and Rarity took a step back with surprised looks on their faces. “I'll catch up, I need to talk to Orion.” Applejack and Rarity nodded and went on their way. Twilight turned to Orion. “Why Orion? Why?” She started to cry a bit. Orion went over and hugged her. “I don't know Twilight. But she's been planning this for a while.” He stepped back and looked into Twilight's eyes. He sighed and said, “I think she's always been like this, just biding her time until she could get her power back.” This did not help Twilight, as she went back into her memories, remembering Celestia. __________________________________________________________________________ It was a few days after the accident that caused Twilight to give off a magical discharge that blew up a building. Twilight was resting in her room in a tower high in the Canterlot palace. She looked down at the construction work being done to fix the building and the surrounding area. She heard a knock on the door. “Twilight? It's me, Princess Celestia?” Twilight quickly got up from her bed and composed herself, trying to clear up her sad face and ruffled mane. “Come in your majesty.” Twilight said as she stood at attention. Celestia opened the door and walked in. She wore a face of concern for her dear student. “Twilight, the sentence has been cast.” Celestia walked over to Twilight. “The students involved have black marks added to their records, and Orion, the ring leader has been expelled. Twilight closed her eyes and said, “I'm sorry Princess, I should have composed myself more.” Celestia smiled at her student. She has never had somepony as loyal as her. She nuzzled Twilight and said, “You have nothing to apologize for Twilight Sparkle. The other students betrayed your trust, and they're now paying the price.” Celestia motioned for Twilight to follow her to the balcony. “There will be plenty of people that will want to hurt you Twilight, or want you to betray who you truly are.” She gave Twilight that warming smile of hers and said, “But you can always trust me.” Twilight smiled at her teacher and leader and happily nodded. “Thank you Princess, you are too good to me.” Celestia and Twilight looked out over Equestria. Twilight continued to sob. The one pony she placed complete unbreakable trust in, and Celestia didn't just break it, she incinerated it. Orion hugged Twilight harder. He didn't say anything, he knew how bad it was to talk. The wrong words could destroy a pony. And Twilight's mind didn't need to move from completely destroyed to nothing. _____________________________________________________________________________ Celestia stood before hundreds of Alicorns in the Palace throne room. All neighing, all showing their power off, annoying Celestia to no end. She stomped her hoof, a way to show her power. Power was something the Alicorns respected. Celestia cleared her throat. “My Alicorns.” She looked around, seeing that every Alicorn was listening. “We have a very daunting task ahead of us. We must convince the ponies of Equestria to follow us, or else-” “Or else what?!” Celestia was interrupted by an Alicorn named, “Typhoon.” She gave him a dark glare. “We don't the ponies to follow us, we can just destroy them like before. I've only eaten a few ponies since I got back from that Faust forsaken prison, and I don't plan on stopping!” Typhoon yelled with a growl. Celestia heard a few Alicorns yelling with approval. Celestia glided down to Typhoon gracefully and slowly walked towards him. Typhoon was undaunted by Celestia's approach. Celestia got into Typhoon's face and said, “Are you challenging me Typhoon?” Celestia raised an eyebrow. “Because, if I remember correctly, I'm the one who freed you from your prison. I'm the one that controls this land.” Typhoon stood his ground, growling all the while. “And I am far more powerful than you are Typhoon. You're not even in the same league.” Typhoon's face was flooding with anger. “Don't challenge me Typhoon, you'll just get hurt.” Celestia turned from Typhoon and was about to fly to her throne when Typhoon yelled, “I'll show you who rules Alicorns!” Typhoon conjured an energy storm which he focused and sent towards Celestia. It impacted, leaving a cloud of dust. Typhoon laughed maniacally until he saw Celestia's figure within the cloud. He didn't scratch her, he didn't even scratch her jewelry or shoes. Celestia turned around. “Okay, boy.” She unfurled her wings and powered up her horn. “Show me.” Typhoon gasped and tried to make his way out of the court room. Only for Celestia to fire a beam of energy that annihilated him. The other Alicorns remained silent. A magical essence of Typhoon was left behind, which Celestia absorbed. She returned to her throne. “Anyone else want to question my leadership?” Celestia asked. The court remained silent. “Good, we do things my way. Or else you'll end up like Typhoon there.” The court rang with approval. One Alicorn name “Aldolore” shook his head and flew out of the court room. The rise of the Alicorn hierarchy had begun. Nightmares and InsomniaLuna sat in the highest tower of Canterlot, overlooking the destruction and devastation that was quickly being covered up. Celestia had declared that the Element Bearers had perverted the Elements and used it to destroy the part of Canterlot that hosted the Ceremony. Surely not everypony would believe it, but Celestia held the power in her hooves and therefore could say anything. Anyone that opposed would face death or worse. Luna hated it. Luna looked up to see her bright stars contrast with the new red sky that acted as a portal to another realm. More and more Alicorns were coming through each day, which is what she wanted. But something felt wrong with the whole situation. She saw all this death and destruction and managed to put it to a few single words. Pain. Horror. Regret. She was a goddess by Pony standards but by Alicorn standards she was a mere foal. Her powers were severely weakened by allowing herself to be a possession of that . . . thing . . . that controlled her. Celestia called it, a symbiote. Luna called it a monster. She remembered. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Luna and Celestia stood before this dark cloud and took in it's malevolence. The creature was detained in a giant glass jar of sorts. Celestia grinned. Luna shuddered. This entity could effectively take another creature and warp them into something terrible. Celestia turned to Luna. “What do you see before you Luna?” Celestia asked. Luna was unsure how to answer. “A creature of dark desire.” Luna said. Celestia nodded. “If that creature were to possess somepony, what do you think would happen?” Celestia asked as she walked around the creature inspecting it. Luna saw it as a logical question, though with a hint of dark intent. “That creature would inherit the abilities of said pony.” Celestia nodded and continued. “Now what if it possessed an Alicorn?” Luna stepped back, wondering what to say. “Celestia what does any of this-?” Celestia interrupted her. “This creature would possess an Alicorn and do whatever it wanted with it's new powers.” Celestia played with the lock on the jar. “And if it possessed one of us, you know the other would have to stop the possessed one. One would be heralded as a hero, while the other would have to suffer.” Celestia walked over to Luna, whose jaw was wide open. “Don't you see? This will stop the uprisings, and then we can proceed with the plan!” Luna frowned at Celestia and said, “I don't want to fight you sister. We can find another way to gain the ponies trust, we can-” Celestia stomped her hoof. “THERE IS NO OTHER WAY!” Luna covered her head, fearing Celestia's great power. She composed herself. “Earning their trust, YOUR way would take thousands of years. My plan would have it done in one.” Celestia levitated the key to the cage and stopped. “This is what the plan will be Luna.” Luna looked at her sister with horror. “You will be possessed. I will stop you.” She put the key into the lock. This made the cloud active. “I will use my power to put you into stasis on the moon. This will do two things. One being almost the complete trust of the ponies in Equestria.” She slowly began to turn the lock. “Two being me finding suitable bearers of the Elements. Without them we don't have any hope of releasing our brothers and sisters.” She slowly backed away from the cage. “You will be freed when the stasis is released, in some sort of dramatic fashion that will only solidify my leadership.” Luna couldn't believe what she was hearing. Her own sister doing this to her. Celestia smiled and turned the key, unlocking the door. With a flash she teleported away. Luna was alone with the entity. It slowly floated around her. It spoke. “Come now Luna, do not be frightened by me.” It moved closer and closer. “I have a feeling we will become good friends, you and I.” Finally, it consumed Luna. Her thoughts were erratic. The entity's were as well. First there were two “I's” in her head. Then a “we”. “We can be powerful together Luna, we can be a nightmare for your sister.” Evil thoughts plagued her mind. She liked the sound of that. “Yes.” She said. “A nightmare that brings fear just by it's name being uttered.” The dark entity encircled her mind. “YES!” Luna yelled. “We can rule this land and beyond it.” The entity said as the clouds around Luna disappeared. “No.” Luna said. “I will rule it. As an embodiment of a Nightmare. The dark ruler of the night. I AM NIGHTMARE MOON!” The being that stood in that room was no longer Luna. The thought patterns had merged, and neither one was there. Instead it was one creature. An unsuspecting agent of Celestia's. Celestia heard the cry and laughed. “Step one complete.” Celestia said. _______________________________________________________________________________ Luna opened her eyes. The plan had gone as Celestia had planned it to. But Luna couldn't put her hoof on why she was feeling pain over the situation. She needed time for it all to sink in. She walked back into the palace. Noticing the Alicorns flying above her. Enjoying their new freedom. How long before they begin to destroy? Luna thought to herself. Orion had been sitting in his father's old study trying to find something that could help him, something that could be used against an enemy that only knew defeat by being sent away. He went through journals and journals of trivial information and found nothing. Orion slammed his hooves against the table. “Damn it old man!” Orion threw all the books off the table. “Why couldn't you make a strategy? Why not make a plan to defeat the Alicorns then tell of the great doom?!” He sat back down in his chair and covered his face with his hooves. He had been at this for several hours after Twilight and the others went to bed. He went to the window and looked up at the red sky. Hopeless. That's the word that kept repeating in his head. He shook it and went to get some coffee. He found Twilight in the kitchen. They both gasped and jumped. Orion looked Twilight over. She was a complete mess. Her mane was messed up, her eyes were puffy, and it looked like she didn't even sleep for a second. “You know you're not supposed to be up right?” Orion asked as he made his way to the coffee. Twilight chuckled weakly and said, “I know, but coffee helps me relax in a way. It helps me think.” Orion nodded and said, “It gives your mind a fresh perspective in a way. Like a good shot of Rainbow Rum from Cloudsdale.” Twilight tilted her head. “You drink that?” she asked. “Yeah once and a while, but the pegasus ponies from my bar drink it all the time.” Orion finished pouring himself a cup. “Maybe I should get a shot or two for us huh?” Twilight and Orion chuckled a bit. “Listen- Orion- I wanted to apologiz-” Before Twilight could finish, Orion put a hoof up. “You don't have to.” Orion lowered his hoof. “You might have to apologize for the building, but as for over-reacting, you were in your right.” He took a sip. “I didn't consider how some people might take pranks.” He looked out the window. “Some ponies can be affected in ways you don't expect. And you need to be friends before doing a prank.” He looked back over to Twilight. “That prank wasn't friendly in the least, and what they did afterwords was terrible.” He put his cup down and walked over to Twilight. “I know that we had a rough beginning with our friendship, but maybe we can try again?” he asked. Twilight looked away for a second. “I don't know Orion, how can I trust you?” she asked. “How can I trust anypony for that matter? My teacher, the one I trusted more than anyone creature has released an evil we can barely comprehend.” Orion looked down at the ground, disappointed. “I don't know about friendship right now, but I do know that I want to stop this evil.” She walked towards the old study. “And I'll help you in that capacity.” Orion smiled, there might be hope. Orion grabbed his cup with his magic and joined Twilight in the study, hoping to find a strategy, a plan, a hope. Gift HorseTwilight and Orion were flipping through book after book, tyring to find a key, a piece of information that could help them in any capacity. Without it, hope seemed to be luxury. Twilight looked up from a large volume and said, “Orion, none of these books have any rhyme or reason to it.” She tossed the book on the ground from frustration. “Didn't he organize anything? Didn't he have any method to his chaos.” Orion tossed another book and searched through another shelf. “Not from what I can tell.” He picked up an old photo of him and his father. It was when Orion first opened up his bar, and his father was there shaking his hoof. You always were proud of me Dad, no matter what I did. Orion held back his tears and continued searching. “He probably thought that he'd be discovered and that keeping his notes organized would have the Alicorns discover a threat to them- if there is any- and destroy it.” Twilight nodded. “It's an old war strategy: don't leave anything for the enemy to use.” Twilight then noticed something about some of the journals, they had markings. “But, if there's a chance an ally could use something, leave a message on how to get to it.” She started shuffling the books around to have the markings on the journals match up. “What are you doing?” Orion asked Twilight. Twilight stopped and looked Orion and asked, “Do you like puzzles Orion?” Orion chuckled a little bit. “We've got one in front of us right now, why do you ask?” Twilight grabbed a book Orion was holding and placed it on the ground. Orion looked down, and saw an image taking form before him. Without saying anything, he kept finding books with similar markings and placed them in the appropriate places. Orion and Twilight stepped back, and saw the image before them. It was an image of compass, with the symbols of “North, South, East, and West.” replaced by symbols of different creatures in Equestria. North for the Dragons, South for the Diamond Dogs, East for Elks, and West for Buffalo. Orion and Twilight looked at each other, confused. “So, my dad wanted to lay out where the animals were? For what? Some places to go for help? Form an army or something?” Orion asked. Twilight chewed on her hoof and noticed the circle that encompassed the compass had markings on it. She read it carefully, her eyes widened. “It's a spell!” She yelled. Orion inspected the spell. “It's written in an old language from the looks of it. Maybe Horsk?” Orion looked to Twilight for an answer. “Yeah . . .” Twilight touched the words and spoke them aloud, “Hvis det er fakta du søker, les dette høyt og alt vil bli avslørt.” As she spoke the final word, a light flashed them both. They stumbled back blinded. They looked to the map which was now glowing and had a ghostly figure floating above it. “Dad.” Orion said dumbfounded. The figure, standing tall spoke to Orion. “Hello son. I see you figured out my puzzle.” He turned to Twilight. “With a little help from the looks of it.” They both nodded their heads. Orion lifted himself off the ground and walked over to the ghostly figure of his father. “Dad, I- I don't understand. How-?” “I'm not a ghost, I'm a memory fragment.” He floated down to the ground and walked towards his research area. “When I first discovered Celestia's plan, I went mad as you well remember.” Twilight and Orion only stared. “That was Celestia's doing. You see, when I discovered her ruse, I was planning on bringing it before the Mages of Canterlot.” He paused and turned to his son and friend. “She intercepted me, and used a spell to drive me to madness. The information however was still there, and with it, a little bit of myself.” He flew back into the air and looked up. “I had little time, I had to get my information out, protect it, and keep Celestia unaware of my little bit of sanity.” He floated over to his map. “This is but a small representation of what I had stored in my head. But with that spell you spoke, you took all the information I knew and implanted it within your heads.” Twilight and Orion's stood back surprised at this revelation. “Originally, the information was supposed to go to one pony, but it would appear that the information was split between the two of you.” “Okay, Dad. Look I believe you, but I don't know anything more than what I've read, which appears to be a lot of nothing.” Orion said with an apologetic look in his eye. His father laughed. “I told you that I was a memory fragment, correct? This is taking place in your mind, in both your minds!” Orion's father said. “So how can I understand what Orion asked you?” Twilight asked. Essan put a hoof to his mouth and clopped it against the ground. “Did you two cast a Memory Connection spell?” Essan asked. “Yeah, when I needed to show Twilight where I lived.” Orion said. “But that was supposed to have worn off right?” Essan chuckled. “Sometimes, when there is an affinity between two ponies, their minds can connect for quite a while.” Orion and Twilight looked at each other, and then looked away and blushed. Essan laughed again. “I won't go any further into that, but I will tell you what I know.” He floated back up and spoke. “You know that you Element Bearers are powerful correct? Well, the reason why is because you are, as the dragons put it, 'Alikiin', Alicorn born.” Twilight looked down and spoke. “But, I'm not an Alicorn. I don't have any wings.” Essan shook his head. “To be Alikiin does not mean you have to be an Alicorn. It means you possess the raw power that they possess. And any normal abilities you do possess, is amplified ten fold- possibly more.” Twilight pondered this, and then said. “So since my special talent is magic itself, my magic-” “Is on the same level or possibly even beyond that of an Alicorn.” Essan interrupted. Orion entered the conversation. “But what does the map have to do with any of this?” He asked. “The map shows the location of where the Bearers can learn to amplify their abilities. Twilight, you must go to learn magic from the Dragons. Their magic rivals that of the Alicorns, and if you mastered both, you would be unstoppable. As for your friends, I learned about their powers from the prophecy.” He then used his powers to display images of Twilight's friends. “Applejack, the bearer of Honesty, has sheer strength that is unparalleled to any pony. She must go to the Buffalo and learn to become the strongest in the land.” He then turned to an image of Rainbow Dash. “Rainbow Dash is the fastest pegasus alive. But she needs to go into the skies and learn from a race known as the 'Albatro's'.” He pointed towards Rarity. “She is the Element of Generosity yes? Well she has the ability to get anything she wants. Be it through persuasion, bartering, and even thievery.” He chuckled a bit. “Her family has quite a little history.” Orion and Twilight looked at Essan with confusion. “She'll tell you when she's ready. In any case, take her to see the Diamond Dogs- her abilities will be above anything you could ever imagine.” He moved on to Fluttershy. “This one has the ability to commune with animals. Her power goes far beyond that. If she went to the Elks, she could in theory be able to understand any creature and be able to heal them as well.” He then looked to Pinkie Pie, and cringed. “Pinkie Pie- she was the real oddity in my studies.” “She's an oddity in real life as well.” Twilight said. “Not just in that aspect Twilight.” Essan said. “She is chaotic to say the least, and that is what she is- chaos.” “I don't understand.” Orion said. “Are you saying that she-” “Is the embodiment of Chaos.” Essan said. Twilight stepped forward. “But, she's nothing like Discord- She's a good pony!” Twilight knew Pinkie was crazy, but not like Discord, not crazy enough to hurt other ponies. “Discord was corrupted by Chaos.” Essan said. “Originally, here was a Draconis, but in order to win against the Alicorns, he had to be possessed by it in order to get the necessary power to create that portal to the other realm. He was turned into that being as a result.” “Could he be changed back?” Orion asked. “Maybe he could help us.” “I don't know.” Essan said. “But he may be too far gone, too far destroyed to be anyone else other than that creature that tried to turn this land into a mess.” Orion looked down, and pitied the creature that was originally a hero but made a villain because of Celestia. “Pinkie on the other hand, is chaos. All the powers of Chaos, focused into one being.” Essan looked over to Twlight. “Has she ever done something that could not be explained, something that could not be believed?” Twilight nodded, she knew all too well. He trotted into the center of the map. “In any case, you both possess this knowledge, and you both have the ability to make the salvation of Equestria possible.” He turned to Orion. “You are not Alikiin, but that doesn't mean you can't help. You're magic, defense, could be used to help them on their journey. They need your knowledge and your power to help.” Orion nodded, knowing his mission. “It would appear that the two of you will need to split up to get all of this done before the Alicorns destroy the land.” Orion and Twilight nodded, but they feared what laid before them. “As for how else you should proceed, I leave that up to you two. Good luck, and Faust speed.” The image flickered away, and the map that was once lit brightly like the sun, had faded into darkness. Orion and Twilight galloped up the stairs to tell their friends about the plan. Prepare for the Fight“Spike . . .” The dragon baby was sound asleep. The events of that day had him sound asleep. But there was a dream he was having, not about the death and destruction, but rather, a dream about a soothing voice calling out to him. “It's time to wake up Spike- It's time to come home.” “Who are you?” The dragon baby asked. “Spike, return to your home, return to your kiin.” That was what the voice told him repeatedly until he awoke to find Twilight over him. ` “Spike! Get up!” She yelled. “We have a plan!” “Wha?” The dragon said, still waking up. “What plan?” Twilight rolled her eyes and said, “A plan to save Equestria!” Twilight levitated Spike onto her back and rushed down the stairs to where their friends were waiting. _________________________________________________________________________________________________ But, in a dark part of the castle, there was a brown Alicorn watching Equestria. He stared down at these creatures, creatures he deemed inferior. Inferior in every way. Their strength is nothing, their gifts are mere trinkets, and their magic couldn't even stand to be a joke in front of this Alicorn. This Alicorn, was “Day Star” and he thought his power was the greatest, and wasted serving a sister, who in his opinion, “opened the door” for them. He looked again to the ponies that would call him master. “It wasn't their fault they were weak and pathetic.” He thought. “This was the way Faust made them to be, and he deserved to rule them- they needed him to be king.” Celestia came up behind Day Star and spoke. “It's a beautiful city, is it not Day?” Day Star chuckled at this. “It will be a beautiful city, dear sister, when we expand it to be one.” Celestia frowned. “Are you not impressed by the kingdom that awaited you all?” she asked. “I am impressed by your skills in persuasion and deception. Truly there is no mightier kingdom based off of these principles.” Celestia stepped in front of Day Star. “Is that a challenge Day?” she growled at her brother. He looked at her and laughed. “We're kin, both masters of the Sun dear sister, you won't see me challenging you.” He turned away from her and walked to another window. “Rather, I would want to see our might, displayed in front of your pony subjects. They clearly need one.” Celestia stopped frowning, and wore a smile. “Don't worry Day, they will see our power soon enough. For you see-” Celestia was then interrupted by a sound at the door way. “Yes?” she asked with a hint of frustration. It was Nova Wave. “Sister, the leaders of all the pony settlements have gathered, and are awaiting you.” Nova, though clearly a force to be reckoned with, could only play second string to the more mighty Alicorns. That suited her just fine, she had more fun in the field. Celestia cleared her throat and said, “Very well, I'll head there right away.” She turned over to Day Star. “And make sure you're present- if you want a piece of the land to rule.” She flew off with Nova, leaving Day Star in the dark room, laughing. “Yes, a piece of the land. A piece . . .” He then put on a stone cold face, and left the room. _________________________________________________________________________________________________ At the landsmeet, Ponies gathered from all across Equestria. The Mayor of Ponyville stood silently, watching all the Alicorns flying and watching the ponies. There was also Nutcase of Fillydelphia, along with Brutish of Manehatten and Iron Pump of Stalliongrad. Apple Prime of Appopolis was there as well. Apple Prime was the leader and representative chosen by the Apple Family. In truth, the Apple Family was spread all across Equestria, giving apples to any creature with a minimal fee. Many other settlements were there as well, it was the biggest landsmeet the ponies of Equestria had in history. And then entered the leader of it all, Princess Celestia, the ruler of Equestria. She spoke. “My people, my adoring public.” Celestia scanned the room, all were paying attention. “It is so good to see you all here in the midst of this terrible crisis.” Celestia knew how to act in front of her the populous, but wooing the leaders to her side was another problem all together. “I'm here to tell you today, that the crisis was caused by one that was indeed very close to me. One Twilight Sparkle, and her friends!” The ponies gasped at this revelation. The Mayor of Ponyville was about to speak, but was beaten to the punch, by Iron Pump. “I question this Celestia!” All the eyes of the ponies turned to him. “There is no proof or motive of this betrayal.” Celestia glared, but only for a second. “I am indeed shocked by this betrayal, and even now I don't believe Twilight- my student- would do this on her own. I have reason to suspect a greater power possessing her.” Iron Pump wasn't satisfied with this answer, but enough so to listen to the ruler. “Her powers were far greater than that of any Pony I have ever seen, she was a threat to everypony there. Which is why I summoned the Alicorns to come to our aid.” She motioned to the Alicorns who were either flying or standing stoically before the ponies. “They managed to fend of Twilight and her band of terrorists before any more damage could be done.” Nutcase then spoke. “How do we know that they won't try again? Our cities could be under attack at this very moment!” Nutcase wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed, but he cared deeply for his people, and would defend them to the end. Celestia nodded and said, “That is why I have brought my brothers and sisters before you. Until we can find out where Twilight Sparkle and the other fugitives are, these Alicorns will rule your posts in the interim.” The ponies in the court gasped, many simply cringed at this statement, the mayor being one of them. Apple Prime started to leave the court. “Where you going Apple Prime?” Celestia asked. Apple Prime turned to face Celestia. “My people do not need Alicorn Protection. We will do just fine on our own.” He bowed and then left the room. Iron Pump and Brutish rose up. “I won't submit to Alicorn rule either, they have no right!” Iron Pump lifted his hoof in the air shaking it. “While Iron Pump and I don't agree on many issues, I am right beside him on this one.” Brutish worked his whole life to get to his position and worked to keep his ponies in Manehatten safe. “We demand that this motion be stopped!” Celestia shook her head and said, “I will do no such thing, the Alicorns are here to help you all.” There was a roar of anger from the oppositions side when she said this. The opposition left the room after wards taking ten settlements with them. The rest stayed behind and submitted. It was all the mayor could do, they didn't have any leverage to fight back against the Alicorns rule, so it would appear that they'd have to live with it. Meanwhile, Day Star observed the madness unfold. “It would appear, that the ponies are removing the surplus population in a war. All the better” He trotted off to Celestia to accept his assignment. The PlanApplejack, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, and Spike crowded around Orion and Twilight to hear their plan. Each of them were completely distraught in their own way. Applejack, an honest work pony that believed the words of her leader, is now left with a traitor that has been lying the entire time. Rainbow Dash, loyal to the Princess of the land and it's ponies, has been left almost entirely alone by Celestia. Rarity, a unicorn that idolized everything about Canterlot and it's nature, was now forced to watch it burn. Pinkie Pie, a creature of laughter and good fun, saw the turmoil of the event and is now left wondering if there is humor in anything anymore. Fluttershy on the other hoof was better off than the rest- while scary situations do frighten her, she recognizes the threat and stays with her friends. Yes she was betrayed by Celestia, but her friends here were all okay. Spike was distracted more than anything- something was calling out to him. “Okay everypony, we have a plan.” Twilight's face was full of determination, more than it has been for the last couple of hours. “As you all know, we bear the Elements of Harmony and each embody the power.” The others nodded. “But what we didn't know is why we're so strong with the Elements. But I just found out that we each have our power because we are all 'Alicorn Born'!” The others gasped, but then looked confused. “What the flank is 'Alicorn Born?'” Rainbow Dash asked. The others nodded in agreement. Orion came forward “You all possess the magical capacity of an Alicorn. Meaning that with your particular strength, you have the ability to excel more than any Alicorn.” The others were still confused. “Look, maybe I can show them the message my dad left me, sort of an info dump into their brains.” Twilight thought for a moment. “Do it” she said. And with that Orion's horn flashed and the others were lost in a trance of information. Everything that Orion and Twilight learned went flowing into their brains. They came out of their trances, looking more confused. “Ah-ah think I get it. We all need to go to these locations to be powerful enough to stop the Alicorns.” Applejack, despite the bravado of strength was the first to get it. “But why do I have to go to those icky Diamond Dogs?” Rarity asked. Orion walked over to Rarity. “We were hoping you could tell us that Rarity. My dad did say you had a skill that they could help you improve.” Rarity's eyes were shifty- as if a dark secret had been discovered. She sighed, defeated. “My family- we're- we're a family of thieves.” Her friends stood there shocked. “But we don't steal for ourselves. We give the spoils to the poor and work for ourselves. I've always wanted to get away from the business, but somehow it keeps pulling me back.” Applejack stepped to Rarity. “So wait an apple buckin minute. You're a thief- who do you steal from?” Everypony waited for Rarity's answer. “We stole from the Canterlot elite. They had so much money we figured that they wouldn't miss some valuables. And as I said, I've moved away from that- haven't stolen in years- intentionally that is.” Applejack facehoofed and said, “Ah suppose it don't matter much under the circumstances. We've got a world to save.” Twilight stood next to Applejack. “She's right Rarity- and you've got to get your thieving skills back up again- we're going to need them.” Rainbow spoke next. “What about me? What have I got to learn from some dumb birds?” Orion pulled out a book. “The Albatri have the ability to go at faster speeds than most, Rainbow- plus their technology, according to myth, is astounding.” He showed Rainbow a picture of a city within the clouds- mechanical in nature. Not a thing like Cloudsdale. Rainbow looked at the picture, looking at the bird creatures, noble in appearance. Fluttershy moseyed in. “And what about me? I've heard stories about the Elks- they're supposedly experts in medicine.” Orion flipped to a page about the Elks. “Apparently they have some type of magic that powers their expertise in medicine- best healers in Equestria. So that goes with your ability to understand animals and nature for the most part.” Orion pointed to Fluttershy. “You have such an affinity for all creatures that your ability to heal would be unparalleled.” “Oh- well- that's great- I think...” Everybody smiled at Fluttershy. But they then turned their attention to Pinkie Pie. “Pinkie- do you have any idea what my dad was talking about?” Orion asked. Her hair was deflated, her happy demeanor gone, all that was going on her head was feelings of regret and thoughts of “what ifs?” “I- I think I get it. But I'll need to go to that place he marked for us before I do anything.” Twilight patted Pinkie Pie on the back. “Spike, are you with us?” Twilight asked. He nodded and scoffed. “Do you even need to ask Twilight?” That statement brought the mood up a bit. Everypony turned to Twilight and Orion. “We don't have time to all go to each location, so we're going to divide into two groups. First group will have Twilight, Applejack, Pinkie, and Spike since their locations correspond with one another. Meanwhile, I'll help Rarity, Rainbow Dash, and Fluttershy get to their locations.” Orion then tapped his horn. “And thanks to whatever happened, me and Twilight share a bond that will make us be able to transfer thoughts instantaneously, so we won't ever lose contact. I know this was not how you were imagining spending your Summer Sun Celebration- but it's up to you all to save Equestria. We will encounter resistance on the way to be sure, but so long as our friendship keeps us together, we will be strong. Let's go to work.” Alicorn's and my OCSo this is not another chapter. And I know I have been a little lacking lately- Between this, Batmane, my new project, and School stuff it is hard to keep up. So here are pictures from Pony Creator of the Alicorns and my OC. Alicorns do lack cutie marks, they'll get some later. I promise. For now, enjoy. This be Morning Star Nova Wave Typhoon- KIA Orion AnnouncementOrion, Twilight, and her friends lay at the hooves of Princess Celestia. She smiled her evil smile, and laughed with the other Alicorns. Their laughs rang through the halls. Orion had failed to protect their Alikiin while they got their gifts, it was the second time he failed and was brought before Princess Celestia. “Are the any last words Twilight?” Celestia asked as she powered up her horn. “Actually,” a voice came from the entrance of the hall. It was a bipedal creature wearing a white suit and helmet. “I've got something to say about all this.” “How did you get in here?” Celestia asked. The creature looked at the door and then back at Celestia. “I came through the door. See the door? I came through the door.” The creature walked in. “But now I've got to ask, why is shit going on without my approval.” Celestia was confused. “Why do we need your approval?” “Because this is my story and it's been going on without me.” An Alicorn stepped forward. “It was I Clone, I moved the story forward.” It was an Alicorn named Raidan. “Raidan it was you? Why?” “Because you weren't updating the story. Someone had to do it.” Clone played with his pen. “Well I've been gone a while because... because College is tough okay, scanning computer code, writing linguistic papers, sword combat training, and engineering kind of drains the inspiration away.” “That's no excuse, you have fans for this story.” “Which is why I'm going to write again.” Clone moved to a pedestal. “Kids! The White Writer Returns!” With a flash of his pen, he got to work writing, and an update will be available at some point this weekend. Prepare yourself to return to the land of Equestria. The Start(A/N:) Sorry if the story keeps showing a new chapter, just some errors I'm trying to fix in the story. As Orion packed his bag, he found a picture of his father and him having fun at a park. Even though his father was probably one of the busiest unicorns in Equestria, he still managed to find time for him. He held the picture to his head and set it down. He packed his bag with all the essential materials. Food, medical supplies, books of analysis, spell tomes. But he was missing something. He turned to a closet holding guards armor. It was required for every male pony to be in the Royal Guard for at least one year. Orion did it and decided to let the armor catch dust afterwords. The armor was the color red, the lowest ranking of the guard armor. He put on the chest piece and grieves, the rest of the armor was either broken or missing. The last thing he needed was a weapon. He turned around and found his old sword, hanging from the wall at the head of his bed. He took it down and unsheathed it, it was still sharp. He swung it around a few times. It gave off a good sound. He sheathed it and put it to his side. He made his way out to the rest of the ponies. Applejack was stretching her body, getting ready for the adventure. Rarity was folding her clothes neatly into her bag. Rainbow Dash was trotting in place, waiting for the group to get going. Fluttershy was examining her medical supplies, making sure she had everything she needed. Pinkie Pie was filling her bag up with all sorts of baked goods. Twilight was filling her bag with books, endless amounts of books. Spike was filling his bag with scrolls. But there was a problem, their bags were weighing them down. “How in Equestria are we going to make our way across with all of our junk weighing us down?” Applejack asked. Orion tapped his chin. He had an idea. “There was this pony that came to my bar a few years ago. He taught me how to enchant certain articles of clothing to store more things. Pockets for example.” His horn shined at Twilight's bag. Suddenly the bag appeared as though it were empty. “What did you do with the books?” she asked. “They're still in there, but now you can store even more things in there.” Twilight looked into the bag. “It's bigger on the inside,” she looked at the bag, “then it is on the outside.” “Yeah that's the great thing about this enchantment, though you'll still need to empty it once and a while, it'll still fill up.” Orion did the same enchantment to all the others bags. “So who taught you this?” Spike asked. “I think he was a Doctor. Or something along those lines. Either way it doesn't matter, he took off.” Orion and the group walked outside. He locked the door behind him. He looked to the house and made his way with the group. “Okay so we're going to need to split up, that way we can get our powers faster and find the key to getting this all sorted out.” Twilight looked through the map she created showing where all the races were. “Applejack, Pinkie, Rarity, and Spike are with me.” They gathered around Twilight. “And Rainbow, Fluttershy, and Orion will head south and into the clouds apparently. “Wouldn't we have seen the Albatari if they lived in the clouds? I mean Cloudsdale is in the clouds so what's the deal.” Rainbow was right to be curious. “It would stand to reason that they wouldn't want to be seen Rainbow. And if the legend is true, they might have some kind of device that could cloak them.” Orion looked back to the shed that was in back of the house. “My dad always worked on this bathysphere sort of thing in the shed. Maybe that's the key we're looking for.” “Alright, you guys figure that out, we better be on our way.” Twilight put the map back into her bag. The group said their good byes and each made their way out. Twilight's group to the North, Orion's to the South. “Hey Twilight,” Orion said telepathically, “Faust protect you.” Twilight smiled. “You too Orion.” Finally, after months of not writing, the adventure began. _________________________________________________________________________________________________ Orion and his crew opened up the shed showing the bathysphere, covered in dust and cobwebs. Orion dusted off the machine. “So, any idea how this thing works?” Orion asked. Rainbow and Fluttershy inspected the entirety of the machine. Finally they found a lever. Fluttershy pulled it. “Eep!” She hid behind Orion and Rainbow as the door to the sphere opened up. They all looked at one another and stepped inside. The inside of the sphere was very nice. Leather chairs, a control panel, speakers, and even cup holders. “Ha. Dad always said that cup holders were the greatest invention ponies ever made.” Rainbow rolled her eyes. “But what does this have to do with-” She was interrupted when the door slammed shut. “That's never a good sign.” Fluttershy said. The speakers rang with a nice pleasant song. “Attention, please take your seats, you're about to be launched 30,000 feet into the air. (9144 Meters) Please strap in or else the force of the launch will destroy you. Have a nice day.” The group looked at one another and took to their seats. “Launching in 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, skip a few, 1, 0. The sphere launched from the shed and made their way to the sky. The group screamed with terror. They made their way through layers and layers of atmosphere. Until they finally reached a point where if they went any higher, they could have gone into space. The radio started to blare. “This Albatari Flight Control to Manar 1, do you read us Manar 1?” Rainbow saw a microphone on the ground and picked it up. She passed it to Orion. “Um. This is Manar 1. We read you.” Orion was unsure what to say. “It has been a number of years since your last visit Manar 1, please send us your credentials and we'll allow you to land.” The group looked around at one another. “We don't have any credentials.” The radio went silent. “No credentials? Well no entry.” The group got scared. “But we don't know how to land this thing.” Rainbow said. “Perhaps you shouldn't have gotten into it.” Orion scowled. Fluttershy took the microphone. “Please, we have come seeking your assistance. Equestria is facing the danger of the Alicorns and we need help.” Orion and Rainbow hoped that Fluttershy's plea didn't go on deaf ears. The radio crackled. “This is the administrator of Albatari control, did you say Alicorns?” “Yes! We need help and notes from Essan Manar suggests that you'll be able to help.” Just then, an engine on the bathysphere exploded. “That's not good.” “Stand by Manar 1. We'll pull you in.” Rainbow looked around. “Pull us into where?” With that a structure the size of Canterlot appeared in front of them. “Oh. Into that.” A blue beam surrounded them. “I guess we're going in.” The bathysphere went on its way. _________________________________________________________________________________________________ Twilight and her group made their way over fields and fields of crops until they came close to Ponyville. “Twilight do you think we could stop at Ponyville? Ah need to check on my family and see if they're okay.” for Applejack, family was the most important thing. “Of course Applejack, what about you Rarity?” Rarity shook her head. “Sweetie Belle is with my Mom and Dad over in Mareland. They'll be safe there for now.” “And the Cakes went over to Paris.” (What? You come up with pony names for towns.) “Alright, and me and Spike will be able to get more supplies at the library.” They then found a hill that overlooked Ponyville, they rushed towards it. “No...” Twilight spoke. Ponyville was burning. Operation: "Annihilation"Applejack cried out in horror over the sight she was viewing. The town that she was raised in was being destroyed. All the ponies in the town were running scared. The bakery was burning in place, Carousal Boutique's beauty was destroyed, but the library still seemed to be standing. “Twilight, why's the library okay?” Applejack asked. “After Discord attacked I implanted a shield in the tree that covers the area around it. I was working on a larger shield for Ponyville but the math just didn't work out.” Rarity spoke up. “Could we move survivors into the library?” Twilight shook her head. “There's not enough room in there for every pony.” Spike then pulled on Twilight's tail. “We could use that enchantment that Orion used.” Everybody shot up with glee. “Great idea Spike. Except I don't know the enchantment.” Everypony's head hung low. “But your minds are one. Couldn't you just call him?” With that their heads went slanted. “Give me a second.” Twilight shut her eyes and tried to contact Orion. Hello? Hello?! Orion I need you! Twilight? Is that you? It's me Orion. I need you to teach me that enchantment that made things bigger on the inside. Now's not the best time Twilight. We're in the middle of a situation here. Just let me in and I'll figure it out. Ponyville is in serious trouble. Okay okay. Give me a second. With that Orion sent all the instructions he received from the mysterious pony that night at the bar to Twilight. That should be everything, you've got that? I think I understand it. Thanks Orion. Okay just be caref- Orion couldn't finish, he was cut off. “Got it, I'll get the tree set up, the rest of you need to gather up the rest of the ponies in Ponyville.” Everybody nodded except for Applejack. “Ah need to go check on my family Twilight.” Twilight nodded. “Alright, you go get your family, Spike will go with you. If you see anypony on the way, tell them to go to the library.” “Thank you Twilight. Spike, hop on and let's get a move on.” Spike jumped on her back. “Let's do this AJ!” With that they ran off to Sweet Apple Acres. Twilight turned back to her friends, “Alright girls, let's roll out!” Twilight ran towards the library. Three Alicorns were sent to burn Ponyville after the Mayor showed her reluctance to give power to Morning Star. Their names were Ravage, Rumble, and Frenzy. Ravage was more similar to wild animal than to Pony. He was originally a very intelligent Alicorn that had a very firm grasp on reality. But while in Oblivion, he lost all that and became a vicious animal that the Alicorn's unleashed. Rumble and Frenzy were brothers and created vibrations in the grounds of Equestria causing Earthquakes. They caused all sorts of disasters just for fun back when they were free. One time they caused an avalanche on an unsuspecting mountain village. Nopony survived that encounter while the brothers simply laughed. “Hey Rumble, let's shake things up a bit more eh?” Frenzy asked his brothers. “As long as I get to 'drop the beat'.” The brothers laughed and caused a whole row of houses to collapse. Ravage was going up to ponies and attacking them. Ravage came upon a small yellow pony who was standing still in shock. He growled and sprinted towards her. She screamed in terror as Ravage approached. But before he pounced, Pinkie Pie came out of nowhere and kicked Ravage in the face, knocking him to the ground. Ravage got up and screeched at her. “Get to the library! Go!” screamed Pinkie. She nodded and went off. Pinkie turned back towards Ravage who was barreling towards her. She took that as her cue to run. She ran into an alley way followed closely by Ravage. She turned each corner in the alley system to lose Ravage. But he kept up with her beat for beat. She then saw a small sewer grate that was opened from the quakes. She dived into it to lose Ravage. He tried to get in but the hole was too small for him. He breather fire into the sewer as a last ditch attempt. But Pinkie was long gone by then. “Haha, guess Ravage isn't as fast as he thinks he is.” Rumble landed next to Ravage patting his back. “Can't get them all Ravage. Why don't you go up to that Farm and see if any of these ponies are hiding out there.” Frenzy scratched Ravage's ears who responded with a hiss. He went off on his way running off. “So should we collapse the sewers?” Rumble asked. “Nah, the boss said that Morning Star didn't want any of the essential buildings or systems destroyed.” Rumble's head hung low, but then shot up. “But the residential district is still open for destruction am I right?” “Right you are brother, let's do what we do best!” Screamed Frenzy. “Make funny quake puns?” asked Rumble. “Nah, destroy everything!” The brothers laughed and went to the center of town. Rarity had found a majority of the townsponies alive. She directed them towards the library and went with them to make sure they were safe. She then heard crying in a tree. She looked up, it was Scootaloo. “Rar- ity... what's going on?” The young little pegasus asked. Rarity used her magic to lower her down. “It's going to be okay Scootaloo, hop on my back, we're going to the library. We'll be safe there.” Scootaloo nodded and landed on Rarity's back. But then she heard to large objects land behind her. “Oh no...” “Well well well. What have we here? An Element?” Frenzy said. “I think we've hit the jackpot today brother.” The two laughed and made their way towards Rarity. She used her telekinesis to throw anything she could find. The two shook it off and continued laughing. “Scootaloo, you've got to run. Do you hear me?” Scootaloo had fainted from exhaustion. “Well that's just perfect.” Rarity had backed up towards a wall and kept a scowl on her face. “I thought that this would be harder. Oh well, never complain about an easy job.” Rumble raised his hoof up to stomp on Rarity. But before he could strike he was hit in the face by a bolt of energy. “Who in Equestria did that?” He looked around and saw three ponies on a rooftop, wearing gold armor. “You were supposed to hit his horn Ditsy, not his eye.” It was Lyra, Ditsy, and Bon Bon, each sporting weaponry. “Sorry,” Ditsy said shrugging. She loaded another bolt into a crossbow she had on her front leg. “I just don't know what went wrong.” Enter: GoliathApplejack, with Spike on her back, ran towards Sweet Apple Acres. While trotting up the country road, she look around at all the places she had spent her foalhood. The trees and fields she would trot through with her big brother were burning. Apple Trees that went on for miles and lasted for decades were crumbling into the earth. Applejack shed a tear, but only one. She was busy. Luckily, it seemed that the barn was still standing. A wave of relief washed over her. Spike tapped Applejack's head. “Uh... AJ?” Spike directed her attention towards an Alicorn rushing towards the barn screaming a blood thirsty cry. That feeling of relief disappeared, now she was in a race. And the prize is the Apple Family. She ran faster than she ever ran before, with Spike holding on for dear life. AJ looked at her opponent, his coat was black and his eyes were blood red. And he was gaining speed and on a collision course with the barn. “Spike, I'm about to do something stupid.” Spike gave Applejack a quizzical look to AJ before she threw him off and rushed towards Ravage. Spike rolled to safety and watched as Applejack defended her farm. She headbutted Ravage sending him crashing into farm equipment. It took a lot of strength to knock the almighty demigod off his hooves. She hoped that it would be enough, but it wasn't. Ravage rose from the debris, gritting his teeth towards the small pony before him. He snarled and rushed off towards her. He pounced and tried to strike her. Applejack managed to dodge the initial assault and managed to buck the Alicorn in the mouth. Ravage bled a little at the mouth and began again, landing many hits on Applejack. One to the leg, one in the ribcage, and one in the face. She was strong, but Ravage was in a whole other league. He sent her through the house where Applejack laid beaten and broken. Ravage gave off a little chuckle as he approached the house. Applejack had landed in the living room and managed move her head a little to look around. The house had been abandoned, furniture was missing, portraits removed, and the smell of stale air remained. She smiled, “They must have left when they heard about the trouble. Thank Faust.” She looked towards the hole in the wall and saw the animal that was Ravage approach. She closed her eyes. She had no chance of moving, she was in too much pain. “Ah'm sorry family... I won't be seeing you all again.” Ravage entered the hole and was about to put Applejack through even more pain. A slight burning sensation was felt by Ravage. He turned around to see a small little Dragon, using his flames to the best of his ability. “Get away from my friend you MONSTER!” Ravage snarled and smacked Spike away through the hole. Spike grabbed his side and tried to stand up. He glared at Ravage, his eyes glowed white with power, something all dragons did as a natural defense mechanism to scare away creatures. Ravage didn't fear Spike, and slowly walked towards him. Spike couldn't move as Ravage stood above him. Ravage geared up to finish the baby dragon. But before he could strike, Ravage heard a blood curdling cry. He turned around and saw a creature in the sky. It was a deep purple dragon with obsidian spikes and wings. He glided down towards Ravage and knocked him into the trees in the orchard. The creature landed in front of Spike who managed to stand. “re wux kepatmasto moxt ir?” the Dragon asked. Spike couldn't understand. “ca ti wux kampiun dout kurjh ooble?” Spike fell to his knees. “Please, help us.” Spike then collapsed and fell unconscious. The Dragon turned his attention towards the Alicorn, who was rising from the trees. It screeched at the dragon. The Dragon returned a loud roar. “You shall pay for hurting the innocent wux SOTI!” The Dragon flew to Ravage and wrestled with him. Ravage tried many times to stab the Dragon with his horn but failed to reach. The Dragon grunted and grabbed a hold of Ravage's horn. The horn heated up, Ravage's attempt to make the Dragon let go. The Dragon felt pain, but all that did was make him grasp it even tighter. With that he then jerked Ravage's head and broke the horn off Ravage's head. Ravage screamed in pain and tried to get away. The Dragon held Ravage close and used the horn to pierce Ravage's body with his own horn and stabbed him in the heart. “Scream Soti! Let your pain and death be known to your kind!” Ravage cried out before finally losing life and dying. He stood up and left the body lie in ruin. He moved to Spike's body and picked him up. “Wake up little one.” Spike slowly opened his eyes. “Who- who are you?” Spike asked the protector. He smiled. “My name is Vuthra in our tongue, but you can call me Goliath.” Spike knew he was in safe hands. Goliath moved to Applejack who was still laying in pain in the the living room. She managed to lean forward to see her rescuer. She tried to inch away from the creature standing before her. “Do not fear little Pony, you are not my enemy today.” Applejack then fainted from pain as Goliath picked her up. “Will she be okay?” Spike asked. Goliath growled. “She'll be alright. This area is unsuitable for her recovery, is there a better place for her to rest?” He asked while looking around the landscape. “The Ponyville Library will be a safe place. We can go there.” Goliath nodded and took off with Spike in one claw and Applejack in the other. “Excellent we will drop her off and be on our way.” Spike's eyebrow rose. “On our way?” he asked. “Yes, we will return to our land and we'll be safe there.” “But I live here, I want to stay.” Spike said pleadingly. “You are too young to understand young one. You don't have a choice.” Update TimeHey everybody Clonetrooperkev here, Well this story has certainly come a long way since I started this on a fling based on a conversation with a fellow Brony. Thank you all very much for all the tracks and comments. I am going to continue on with this so no worries there. But I do have a request. I need people to edit this thing. I need you (yes you) to take the story apart. This is your chance to be BRUTALLY honest. Find anything wrong with it, and then tell me in an email to clonetrooperkev@yahoo.com. Full credit will be given to you. No need to hold back. Essentially, to you nitpickers, this is what I'm offering to you, So please everypony, rip this thing apart. If you find anything wrong with it, point it out. And now to answer a few questions. While this is based on Skyrim, the story will be going it's own way. I do need help coming up with names of Alicorns however, since there will be thousands of them. Shoot a name or two at me and I'll try to integrate it in. People have also been asking about the Romance the story will have. Orion and Twilight will have a romance that I know for sure, and there will be other romances too, I just haven't thought of any yet. Now then there's another question, will there be "Clop" involved. The answer is that it's up to you. I'm not going to write it, but if you the reader want to contribute and do something that's fine too. I'm not looking for something that's just, you know, sex. Add some emotion in it. Thanks for reading and a new chapter will be up in a day or two. Clonetrooperkev
Revelations Revelations Thousands of years ago, before the time of harmony, lay a time of chaos and destruction.
Orion put on a stern face and said, “The end of Equestria as we know it.”
The RevivalTwilight could only chuckle at that statement.
“The hunt makes it all the more fun.” She turned to look at the burning part of the city and said, “Let's finish up here and then go back to the palace, to take our seats of power . . . under our dear sister.”
Dark SkiesIn the silent town of Trottenheim, ponies exited their homes to see a spectacle.
Let's go to work.”
Alicorn's and my OCSo this is not another chapter. This be Morning Star Nova Wave Typhoon- KIA Orion
AnnouncementOrion, Twilight, and her friends lay at the hooves of Princess Celestia.
“I just don't know what went wrong.”
Enter: GoliathApplejack, with Spike on her back, ran towards Sweet Apple Acres. You don't have a choice.”
Update TimeHey everybody Clonetrooperkev here, Well this story has certainly come a long way since I started this on a fling based on a conversation with a fellow Brony.
