Hadesscream III: Aftermath.
Vinyl walked along the hallways of Hadesscream manor, her head hung low.
Several mares and Stallions dressed in dark green variants of her yellow uniform with helmets passed her on their patrols, long rifles with curved magazines strapped at their sides walked past her in patrols of two, occasionally giving her a sideways glance.
I-I killed somepony. With a gun. What is happening to me?
This thought bounced around her head. Only yesterday, she had been DJ P0N-3, the best DJ in Equestria. Stallons wanted her, mares wanted her to be her, or to bed her as well.
Now she was a vampony, the ultimate predator.
The ultimate killer.
Tonight, she had seen evils. Evils that reminded her of something she would've rather left forgotten.
She walked morbidly back to the room that she had woken up in which Twilight, or as she calls herself on the base; Sir Hadesscream, had said was her new living area. There, on the table was a bowl filled with ice cubes, in the ice, was a blood bag.
Food for a vampony.
The DJ let out an anguished cry as she hit the bowl hard with her foreleg, swiping it off the table, causing the ice to scatter on the cobblestone floor, the blood bag intact as it flopped on the cobblestone.
She punched one of the walls in her anger, denting it and causing the room to rattle slightly and the lamps to shake and some dust to fall.
She inched back in shock at her strength, at how her punch left a deep hoofprint in the wall. How it was almost identical to her own hoof. How deep it was, how rounded it was.
How she created that indent.
She backed up in shock, her eyes widened in horror.
She kneeled down on the stone floor as she began to cry, her face in her hooves.
Was this her destiny? To become a freak? A horror of the night? Forever shunned and hunted by society and the closest thing that might be her only friend is the mysterious vampony, Arbmos.
"Excuse me, Ms. Scratch," a voice said, taking her from her depression and snapping her back to the real world. Vinyl Scratch meekly looked to the entrance, seeing the source of the voice. Standing in the doorway was Lyra, the mint green pony had a formal look on her face, and was standing respectfully straight.
"What is it?" Vinyl sniffed meekly.
"Sir Hadesscream wishes to see you. Come this way," Lyra said, moving to the side of the door to allow Vinyl to pass.
Vinyl looked confused but obeyed standing up from the floor and walking to Lyra, waiting for the mint-green unicorn to lead the way.
"Follow me," Lyra said, trotting out of the room and Vinyl following close behind.
Lyra took Vinyl through the halls of Hadesscream manor, occasionally passing guards who nodded in respect to the butler.
They trotted up a staircase, passing a shooting range, an armory, and a few more patrols.
Eventually, Lyra stopped trotting, as did Vinyl Scratch. She poked her head past the butler, there was a door. It was oakwood and stained a dark reddish-brown. The knob was made from silver and had a holy symbol engraved on it that Vinyl didn't recognize.
Lyra then turned to face Vinyl, a stern look on her face.
"Ms. Scratch, you are about to speak with the Princess. I need to get a few things out of the way beforehoof," Lyra explained. "Understood?"
"Uhhhhhh....." Vinyl trailed. "Uh-understood."
"Good. Now, you will not speak unless spoken to or asked too personally by Ms. Sparkle. You are to address her as Sir Hadesscream, Sir, or Princess." Lyra instructed. "Maintain eye contact, but do not attempt to mesmerize her. Do so, and your head will find itself separated from its body. Are we clear?"
"As crystal," Vinyl gulped.
"One final thing, relax. She is also the Princess of Friendship," Lyra reminded her with a smirk before turning around to face the door once again.
Lyra's horn glew gold and a magical hand materialized before her, sharing the color of Lyra's magical aura. It floated toward the doorknob and wrapped it's astral digits around it, before twisting it clockwise and hearing a satisfactory click. She then pushed the door open with her forehoof and trotted inside, gesturing the DJ to follow her with her astral hand.
The DJ hesitated, but followed, stepping into the office of Sir Hadesscream.
The office was lit by an overhead chandelier that illuminated the room. Twilight, No, Sir Hadesscream, Vinyl reminded herself, sat in her desk. The desk itself was dark brown mahogany, with a typewriter and various papers littered on the desk. She also had a desk lamp, with various notes strewn about. Sir Hadesscream herself seemed calm enough, a cigar in her muzzle, smoke rising lightly from it.
"Ah. DJ GIrl." Sir Hadesscream greeted, taking the cigar in her lavender aura before resting it in an antique ashtray Vinyl didn't see before. "How is Hadesscream life treating you so far?"
Vinyl wasn't sure how to respond. She considered what she would say, yet Lyra spoke up.
"Poorly, by my observations, seeing as when I retrieved her, she was sobbing her eyes out and created an indent in her wall. Her meal was strewn on the floor as well," Lyra reported.
"I wished to hear from Ms. Scratch, Lyra," Sir Hadesscream glared before turning back to Vinyl. "Is she telling the truth, DJ girl?"
"Um yes, Sir Hadesscream," Vinyl confirmed, her head hung low.
"What's wrong, exactly?" Sir Hadesscream asked, temporarily becoming Twilight once again.
"I-I dunno. just yesterday, I was deejaying! Partying! Having fun with friends!" Vinyl said, smiling a bit as she remembered the good times. But, her smile faded as she remembered the attack on the club by the Zom-ponies, the Ghouls! How they tore through the crowd, adding to their horde. How she was the only one to escape the club. How she ran through the forest, encountering Arbmos and shooting him. How she ran to the church and was held hostage by the Priest. How Arbmos killed her to kill him. And how Arbmos offered to bring her back.
And most of all, how she said yes.
"Now, I'm not even a pony anymore," She said, slumping to the floor. "I'm not even a proper Vampony either, going by Arbmos' standards."
Sir Hadesscream was silent for a few minutes, deep in thought.
"DJ girl," Sir Hadesscream addressed. "I have orders for you."
"Uh, yes sir! What are your orders?" Vinyl asked, trying her best to stand at attention.
"Make some friends."
