It has been a little over a year since the Changeling invasion. The wound that Chrysalis had reopened made any chance of peace between the Changelings and ponies was closing but there was still that faint smell of distrust in the eyes of some. Though Chrysalis's invasion was a terrible, emotional affair aside it did open up the princesses's viewpoint on the other species that they choose to neglect. Ever since then the pony lands have become more and more diverse with griffons to yaks and more opening and reopening past trades and mingling once more in each other's society. Even the changlings can be found within castle walls. However one changlings shall never know of such a thing.

Chrysalis limped away from the kingdom with what remained of her hive. If only she had been smarter, if only she had not tried to reach for more and taken her first victory and left it at that.
If only...
If only then she would not be limping away from such a grave loss with nothing gained and most likely will have not only the princesses hunting her but the other hives as well. Well on a positive side they would survive for about two months unless found earlier.
Chrysalis left the Crystal Empire with less than half the changlings she came with. Many mates would have to suffer and she felt a wave of guilt for being the reason for it. She had failed her pride, her subjects, her family, herself. She failed and lost it all. The other hives would most likely have her head for this. She had exposed their race and had all races now on the lookout for them.
There was no one to turn to. Even within the party with her she could sense many negative emotions from her little Changelings. That would most likely increase once they had arrived home. She could only prepare for the inevitable.

"And so, we shall have to leave the hive. I know the other hives will be here any minute-" as Chrysalis was giving out her speech her sister of another hive appeared flanked by her guards. "Crap."
"Chrysalis you fool. How could you turn on your own kind for your selfishness?"
"Hold your tongue sister! I have done nothing but my best for not only my hive but for all our hives! If this invasion had succeeded we would no longer have to hide underground and scrap for love just to survive!"
"And yet you failed. Not only did your failure doom your hive it has also affected the rest of us!" That got Chrysalis quiet. " Your greed has exposed us and labelled us all as enemies of Equestria. Now weof the other hives must fix your mess."
"Please Althis, I can fix this! We just need time." Chrysalis pleased
"Time is something you do not have. Nor do you have the resources. By order of the hive council in a unanimous vote, you are to be stripped of your hive as well as your rank. You are also banished from all of your sister hives, never to return again." Chrysalis backpedaled. She had expected to face negative repercussion but to lose everything!? And to basically die in the wilderness. She would be alone with literally the world against her. Those that were her family now her enemies.
"You can't do that! How dare you!?"
"Failure to comply will result in immediate execution. Do not make me have to kill one of my sister's today, Chrysalis." Althis said as her and her guards readied spell in case Chrysalis jumped. Her only response was to scoff.
"Please, as if I am a sister of yours. Why delay the inevitable? Would you like to see me suffer before I die is that it?"
"Do not turn this on me! This is all your own undoing! Now leave and ne-"
"No!" A voice cried. All heads snapped to the hatching with a pearl colored shell.
"Silence young one. You do not know-"
"No! You can't make Queen Chrysalis leave! She's the bestest most greatest queen ever!"
"Citrine!" shouted what looked to be the child's mother. Althis approached the child who glared at her. If somewhat cowering at the larger Changeling.
"Child this failure is the reason you go hungry. You should not protect someone who does not have your best interest at heart."
"She does have our best intrust at heart! She's like another Mommy and if she leaves I'm leaving too!" It made Chrysalis's heart swell with pride. Until the hatchling's head rolled accompanied by the mother's scream.
"The terms are that Chrysalis is to have no changling contact. Meaning any who still willingly follow her shall be executed. If show show yourself. Do so and the information will not be ripped from your minds!"
She couldn't be serious. Chrysalis refused to believe it. And yet, the head of that hatching was proof enough.
All was silent. Just when she was about to turn back to her sister the mother of the hatchling walked forward.
"I will die proudly then knowing I stood by my queen as well as my child. Do your worst." No. No,no,no,no. Please! Chrysalis silently prayed that the mare would back off. To take back her words. But she didn't. She met the same fate as her daughter. Next was a drone.
"I may not have agreed with the invasion but Queen Chrysalis is ten times the queen you'll ever be." He then turned to his queen with a smile on his face and bowed before he too lost his head. One by one thirty-nine drones, hatchmothers, civilians and one more hatching were felled. Chrysalis was currently being held down after lunging at her sister after the drone. She screamed and cried as those loyal to her were willingly slain, each with a parting message. Chrysalis felt so much love coming from them. But it was not enough to aid her escape. A queen can feed off the love of her subjects during very dire times but it paled in comparison to another species love. Finally her personal bodyguard Icis tried to attack Althis, only to be killed with her own forehoof after it was torn from her body.
Chrysalis continued to cry as she finally felt the pressure let up. She did not rise. Not even as her sister- no, the creature that was her sister approached.
"Save your words. I shall leave. I now know that my hive will at least be safe from you if I leave." Althis nodded though her face was grim.
present time
In the town of ponyville a unicorn mare with a blood red and orange coat was sipping tea while reading a book on offencive magic.
"Did you hear? They said they found her body!" a random stallion said. The mare stopped reading after hearing about a body.
"Really!? It's been a while since the wedding and they now find her." said another stallion. Who were they talking about?
"Yeah. Say they found her in the Everfree Forest near that zebra's house."
"Why would she be there?"
"No clue. Maybe it was chance." Who!? Who!? Luna danm it tell me!
"Wow. Chrysalis is finally dead." The mare dropped her cup. The shattering interrupting the two. No, they had to be lying. All her searching couldn't have been for nothing. Teleporting away she made her way to the four people that would truly know.

"Greetings my little pony. What brings you here to our castle?" Princess Celestia asked. "And may I have you name?"
"No you may not have my name and I am here for confirmation." Celestia was almost taken aback by the hostility in this mare's voice. She also noticed that the mare did not bow to her like her other subjects. Luna was surprised to. Usually all hostility was directed at her. Princess Candez' flinched as if the hate was directed at her. She could also not sense a single trace of love at the moment. The mare was filled with rage and a bundle of other emotions.
"Very well. Not a hard thing to solve depending on what you need."
"Queen Chrysalis." This set even the guards on edge. It was no surprise that there was no love for the Changeling queen, or ex-queen. What would a unicorn want with that terrorist.
"And what would you like to know?" Celestia asked.
"Is it true that she is... dead?" the mare said uneasily. Her tone surprised the three princesses but Celestia answered anyways.
"Yes, it is true."
"How long? And what of her body?" The mare was visibly quaking now. This time it was Luna who spoke.
"About a month or so. And her body has been burned and the ashes sent to the sun. It was very hard to retrieve her as well. A pack of Timberwolves seemed to be guarding her corpse."
"That is all I need to know." Before the mare left Celestia called for her
"Wait little one. Why did you wish to know of th-"
"None of your good damn business!" the mare roared causing Luna to rise.
"How dare you address our sister, your princess, in such a way!?"
"Luna please," Celestia said.
"Shut up! I don't want to hear a word from you, Nightmare Moon!" You could see the pain and tears accumulate on Luna's face as the mare remembered her time as a Villian.
"Cease your verbal attack on my sister mare!" Celestia rose as well, the unicorn however unafraid of the being that controlled the sun.
"I've wasted enough time as it is." The mare turned her back on the royals and began to leave.
"Stop!" Celestia demanded. The mare continued to walk. "I said stop!" She still pressed on. "You princess gave you an order!" She was almost at the door. "Guards! Stop that mare!" The two pegasus guards rushed her until with a black glow they fell over howling in pain as their wing joints were crushed into fine powder. With their screams the guards outside rushed in, magic ready. However the nameless mare got to them first shooting them both in the horn with accurate, small fireballs that broke the tops of their horn. The pain making them cry out and cradle their heads on the ground as intense heat and magical pain was sent straight to their brains. Seeing that she was needed Luna flew at the mare with a spell in mid process. She met the same fate as the first guards but also had her other joints attacked. Due to being an Alicorn her bones were critically wounded but not destroyed as her guards were. Celestia and Candescence then both tried to grab the mare in magic but she used spell to blind the two with a brilliant light. When they regained their sight the mare was gone and only the bodies of Luna and the guards remained.

The mare breathed out tired and spent after using so much magic. But she had the truth. Chrysalis, her love, was dead. Not only that she would bet her horn that there were guards looking for her already. The all she was in would not protect her forever. Summoning a cloak she hid in the shadows, just like Chrysalis taught her.

"You were attacked!?" Twilight cried after hearing the princess tell of the events mere hours ago. Luna was currently in her room being treated while the guards were put on early retirement due to their new disabilities and trama. Twilight was amazed by this mare's show of power. Then thought of her own inferiority.
"Yes. Though it was really my fault "
"Aunty!" Cadance shouted. "This is not your fault!"
"But it is. Everything she did was out of self defense. I am the one who would not permit her to leave."
"But you must have had a good reason to do so. Right, princess?" Twilight questioned. Celestia sighed.
"Furthermore we would like to inform you of something else "
"Something, else?" Twilight tilted her head.
"Yes. We have a high assumption that this mare knew of the changlings before we did."
"B-but how!? That's impossible! How does one mare know about a hidden civilization before the princesses?" Twilight was beginning to think that they had another Starlight on their hands.
"Well it seems that this mare knew Chrysalis on a personal level." Celestia offered.
"Yes. Even though it was being masked by negative emotions I can make a pretty good guess that this mare was in love with Chrysalis." Cadance said.
"L-love!?" Twilight was taken aback. Someone loved that monster!?
"Yes and I fear that that love may come back to haunt us. Though we have little to no knowledge of the pony, and her being a unicorn gives her a magical advantage, we would be sitting ducks just waiting for her."
"Which is why we want you and your friends to find her and bring her in."

four years later
It has been a while since she fled from Canterlot and civilization all together. But it would be worth it to see her love again.
She was inside of Chrysalis's old hive. The skeletons of changlings in multiple areas and a large gathering of them in the throne room. The mare shuddered at what she assumed was a massacre. She had went to Chrysalis's bed Chambers for her plans. On the bed that Chrysalis had gotten for the two was the body of a pegasus. Yes, over the last four years she had been creating a vessel to bring back Chrysalis's soul. Necromancy was a new area but for her love she would have learned how to juggle the sun, the Moon and the stars.
The body was made completely of condensed magic and some actual pony parts. Don't ask. The plan was to make an Alicorn so that Chrysalis could have her horns and wings again but making a pegasus was hard enough but to add a working , fake horn too? Though she had a plan for the horn. Chrysalis won't like it but, anything for love.
Using her magic a pentagram was summoned under the body. She could feel her magic and the changeling essence being drawn from her and the area, her eyes closed praying that this would work. When she was finally almost done she added in the extra spell. The spell that would take all her magic.

Chrysalis awoke on unsteady hooves. She rubbed her head with her furry hoof-
Fur. Her fur. She examined her body to see that she was a dark green pegasus with a medium length mane in the same color with the exception of some dark red streaks. She also felt the familiar weight of a horn so now she guessed alicorn. Though said horn was smaller than her old one. If only she had a major mirror. Suddenly she heard a groan accompanied by a voice she had not heard in a long time.
Beside her was a white mare with a black and white hoof length mane. When she opened her eyes one was the obsidian colored eye of her lover as well as one silver eye with a purple pattern in it. She could now confirm this was her lover, if a tad different, but three things hit her. One, her horn was gone. Two, her cutie mark was no longer a spark and a horn but what looked like like a fading heart on fire. And three, the mare herself tackling her on the bed.
"Chrysalis!" The mare shouted. Tears fell from her eyes as she buried her head into the alicorn's chest. "Chrissy,. Chrissy!" The mare bawled as Chrysalis could do nothing more than hold her lover in her wings and hoofs.
After the crying bout the mare met eyes with Chrysalis. Surprisingly, it was Chrysalis who initiated the kiss. Though her partner was not complaining.
Their moans echoed in the empty caves as their tounges made up for five years of no contact. Chrysalis could still tell her lover was crying so she separated to wipe away her lover's tears.
"You stupid changlings." She cried
"I know." Chrysalis replied.
"You stupid mare!" she said hitting Chrysalis's chest with weak, pathetic blows.
"I know."
"You stupid, stupid, stupid mare." She stopped hitting her in favor of kissing her. "You stupid mare that I fell in love with." And they kissed again, falling onto the bed and stayed there for hours making love until sleep called for them.

When they had awoken Chrysalis was greeted by the sight of pony food. No longer a changeling she could now eat alongside her lover in a shared meal. Occasionally Chrysalis snuck glances at her lover's head which on the tenth time earned her a flick on the head.
"Ow! How dare you flick your queen!?" Chrysalis exclaimed. "I swear sometimes you don't love me, True." True, the other mare, only nuzzled her lover before giving her a kiss. Chrissy smiled. If only she had her hive with her. She then frowned. A hive that lost faith and trust in her, and those that didn't lost their lives for it.
True Light saw her lover frown and sighed. She would have liked this little moment to last forever but all good things must come to a break.
"So, Crissy, you must have quite the story to tell."
