Prologue

New York City, The Big Apple, Manhattan. There are so many names for the City That Never Sleeps. People bustling to their work, their homes, their luxuries. Even new people coming in from all over the world to even see the Empire State Building and see the sights, maybe even try the good food from vendors and small restaurants. Perhaps to visit family and friends that moved or lived here for one reason or another. Also take in the exhibits of the Museum of Natural History.

But not all of them are here to see the sights and live in New York.

There is one man with a briefcase that is coming to New York for something other than to see the city, that man’s name is Newt Scamander, former Hogwarts student and Professional Magizoologist.

On the Fort Elizabeth, Newt was sitting and watching the Muggles go by their day, he was a wizard from Britain, he came from the most magical school in history, Hogwarts of Witchcraft and Wizardry. He came here to get a birthday present from a guy who breed magical creatures.

Then one of the suitcase switches popped open, making Newt sharpen his gaze down towards the source and pick it up into his lap.

He whispered, “ There there. Not long now…”

His answer the sound of growls too low for anyone to hear, and Newt said under his breath, a stern tone to it,

“ Dougal, don’t make me come down there.”

When the sounds of growls receded, Newt sighed in relief, and looked out onto the sight of New York as the RMS Fort Elizabeth came into the harbor.

Little did he know, that there was a man staring at him in the corner of his eye. The tall lean male was leaning against the rail with his back turned to Newt. But his head was turned to the left a little bit, while making himself inconspicuous so he doesn’t get caught staring at the British young man with the suitcase.

The man was grinning, his teeth a pearly white and his canines were sharp, his right one a bit longer than the left, just poking out of his lip.

The only features one could see was a red iris with yellow whites, and his aura for wizards and witches gifted with the power of Aura Sight, they would see his glowing fiercely with Chaos and Disharmony.

Newt got off the ship and through Customs without any problem, not noticing that he was being followed.

Nor did he notice that the man with red eyes swished his finger to unclick one of the flip-switches on his briefcase, not even hearing the noise...

Meanwhile at the Magical Congress Of The United States, the magic meter that is shown in the entrance went haywire and cracked, causing all the witches and wizards that were working to stop and stare at the broken piece of magic machinery in shock, and then horror as they saw that the meter was on red thrice over before breaking…

The man with the brown trench coat, a pair of grey slacks with shiny black dress shoes, wearing a bright white dress shirt and a green vest with a yellow cravat tucked in, looked at the City That Never Sleeps and smirked mischievously.

He walked through the streets, taking in the vestige amount of magic saturating the air. Too bad the Muggles can’t see it.

New York is bustling as always, Discord thought to himself as he walked down Main Street, looking around as if he was a tourist, but keeping his head down with a large fedora on the top of his head that he stole from a random bypasser, changing the color to white.

Discord was just walking past one of New York’s banks, then stopped as he saw the large crowd on the steps, confused for a moment before he saw a sign saying “ Salem-” The rest of the text was blocked from his view, but Discord figured out the rest.

Second Salem, hmm? He thought to himself. This could be great FUN for me to cause Chaos with…

Just as when he looked like he was about to snap his fingers, before Newt Scamander came running up the steps to the bank and ran inside, grabbing Discord’s interest.

On second thought, HE should be even MORE FUN...

Tina Goldstein, ex-Auror of MACUSA, stared at the strange man in a trench coat as he turned and snapped his fingers, then vanished without a trace! There wasn't even any sound or visual of him leaving, except for a small white flash that in broad daylight didn't catch any of the No-Majs' attention, not even the Second Salemers.

What in the name of-? Tina thought as she tried tracking the obvious wizard by apparating to his location, then looked around to see if she could spot him.

NOTHING.

How did he do that? That wasn't like any Apparition that I've ever saw in my entire life! At least, not with a snap of his fingers. Tina thought as she apparated nearby back to where the bank was and tried looking for the British Wizard that she saw go in a hurry.

If that man ever shows up and does something in front of No-Majs, I will have to arrest him and bring him in, that includes the other wizard that went into the bank. Tina thought, determined to find out whoever that man in the trench coat was, and possibly learn his name... Tina thought as she tried looking for the British Wizard that she saw go in a hurry.

At least he won't be able to disappear so easily...

Meanwhile at the New Salem Philanthropic Society, a young man by the age of 18 stopped suddenly, feeling something in the air as he looked around for the source.

At a young age, he kept his magic a secret from his family and the citizens of New York City, well, except for when he gets angry or vengeful.

Credence Barebones figured out that if he keeps his emotions in check, the monster within him doesn’t lash out at the ones that wish him harm or the ones that upset him, including his mother…

But the strangest thing happened…

This morning after Credence woke up, his magic began to feel in a single direction, as if it was looking for something to find instead of hurt or retaliate. It felt weird in a good way, as if it was accepting something or someone as better than it without submitting under violent distress.

It also felt like… Greeting an old friend...

Credence had the urge to look for said source of magic that he felt from the harbor, but he has morning duties to take care of instead.

Maybe I can find the source, and they can help me get away from this hellhole. He thought as he swept the wooden floor.

Author's Note

Hello There! Welcome to my Fantastic Beasts And How To Cause Chaos Story!!! Sorry for the crappy Prologue, but I had this story completed before I lost everything in my previous account, so I'm starting over with the plot of fun in mind.

Don't worry though, the story will be the same, just... With an extra character in it that will make big changes, CHAOTIC Changes.

Now If You'll Excuse Me, I Have Some CHAOS To Wreak...
