Inside was a beautiful silver ring, a little sapphire on the left side, a little ruby on the right, and a huge amethyst right in the center. Carved into the amethyst were the words “I love U,” on it. Adagio’s eyes began to water but tears never actually went down her cheeks.

“Do you like it?” Connie replied, stroking Adagio’s huge, orange locks of hair. Out of the blue, Adagio picked Connie up and spun her around playfully, the two giggling and chuckling a bit in happiness.

Adagio stopped spinning Connie, but was still holding her as she stared deeply into her chocolate, brown eyes, “I love it,” Adagio whispered softly as she brushed Connie’s long, black hair out of her face.

Connie then started to blush a little when she cupped Adagio’s cheek passionately, “There’s a note for you. I hope you like it,” Connie replied quietly, tilting her head towards the box Adagio was holding.

Adagio put Connie down and she was right. There was a piece of paper folded neatly under the ring. Adagio took the ring out and grabbed the paper. She began to unfold it as she saw out of the corner of her eye that Connie looked a bit uncomfortable. Her face was red and she was twiddling her thumbs again, only more aggressively.

Consense looked away from her as Adagio read the letter. Adagio blushed as she read it and her eyes widened as she got to the end. When she was done, she gasped as she dropped it and slowly turned her head towards Connie, who was still looking away from her. She kneeled down in front of her to reach her height and took both of her hands into her own. Consense still didn’t turn to face her.

“Connie,” Adagio started until she heard small sniffs coming from the sapphire siren, “C-Connie, don’t… Don’t cry. Look at me, sweetie,” Connie turned to face her, her eyes full of tears. but her gaze soon fell to the ground, not wanting to look Adagio in the eye, “Consense, how long have you felt like this?” Adagio asked as she wiped her tears away.

“E-Ever since the first day I met you,” That’s when Connie’s crying turned into little sobs, “I just thought you were beautiful and,” Consense didn’t even finish her sentence when another sob came out.

Adagio frowned at the sight of her crying. She didn’t know why she was like this, until she found a reason, “You thought I was gonna reject you, didn’t you?”
