“Are you sure this is a good idea?” Trixie said as she watched the pacing Starlight Glimmer with trepidation.
The pair were sitting in front of Trixie’s caravan, and Glimmer had been pacing while mumbling to herself for a few minutes now. Occasionally her horn would light up, and the page of an ancient grimoire would turn on the nearby table. If Trixie had not known what was going on, she might have thought Glimmer was going insane. To be honest, Trixie couldn’t be sure that she wasn’t.
“It’s just the best option,” Glimmer said as she paused in her pacing. “I know I’ve come a long way, I know Twilight days she doesn’t have any more to teach me… but that’s just not true. I need more time to learn things, experience more, well life.”
“So let’s take a vacation or something, see more of the world,” Trixie said with an eyeroll. “Believe me, I know about how rewarding traveling can be. Give it a shot!”
“That’s not what I mean.”
“But you’re saying that magic is the answer, that more spells will fix this!” Trixie said in a groan. “When has that ever worked out for you?”
“There was the time with the princesses.”
“Fine, okay, once.”
“So then you acknowledge it’s possible.”
Trixie got up and went to Starlight Glimmer’s side, and put a hoof on her shoulder. She waited until Glimmer looked her in the eye, then spoke as calmly as she was able.
“Look, I know how much you like to rely on magic,” she said slowly. “And, I mean, magic’s pretty great. I should know, I’m especially talented with it after all.”
“You want to say that after you turn my bed back from being a teacup?”
“That’s besides the point,” Trixie said with a dismissive wave of her hoof. “What I am saying is that trying to use a spell to make yourself young forever can’t go well. It’s messing with the natural order of things, and given my track record, I know better than that. So is there any way I can change your mind?”
Starlight reached up and patted Trixie’s hoof with a gentle smile. Then, she carefully removed it.
“I appreciate that you’re worried,” she said. “But I’ve got this under control. Besides, if I mess up, surely the Great and Powerful Trixie can turn me back, right?”
Here, she gave a very calculated wink.
“Er, uh, why of course!” Trixie said, blushing a little. “I am obviously awesome enough to do that, so …carry on I guess.”
Trixie stepped back and waited as Starlight lowered her head and closed her eyes. The purple-maned unicorn’s horn began to glow, and a shining light enveloped her body as she began to chant under her breath in a very ancient sounding language. Trixie held a hoof up to shade her eyes as the light intensified around her friend. The chanting grew louder, and a high pitched whine filled the air. Soon, all she could see was a brightness that even dwarfed that of the sun. Trixie shut her eyes right and held her breath as the wining got louder and louder and then…
Stopped.
When Trixie opened her eyes, the glow was gone as well. The world had not been destroyed, no buildings were in ruins, and her wagon was luckily unharmed. The spell hadn’t done any damage, as Trixie had feared it might, and for that much she thanked her lucky stars. She let out a sigh of relief, but it quickly froze in her throat as she realized that Starlight Glimmer was gone.
Trixie gasped and rushed forward, only to find that her friend was not gone at all. Well, not exactly.
There, sitting on the ground where Starlight Glimmer had previously been, was a baby. The foal looked to be about one year old, at best, and was just set there looking bewildered as could be. She was a lilac pink, with a purple mane in little pigtails and messy bangs. On her butt was a thickly-padded diaper with little teddy bears stamped on the tape holding it shut. As the baby shifted, it crinkled loudly under her rear, and made her look generally rolly polly and puffy. Generally, Trixie might have found the little tyke cute, but given the circumstances she instead let out a sudden shriek.
“STARLIGHT!” Trixie cried. “What did you DO?!”
The baby turned its beady little eyes to face Trixie, and the two stared at each other for a moment. Then, all at once, the baby tipped back its head and began to absolutely wail. Its tiny limbs flailed and tears flew from its eyes in perfect rainbow arcs. Trixie shied away sharply, grimacing at the child.
“Oh no, I’m sorry I didn’t mean to… I don’t know, scare you!” she stuttered out. “Here, here!”
Trixie picked up the infant and shook her back and forth in what was supposed to be a comforting gesture, but that probably would have brought concern from child protected services. Baby Starlight stopped crying, but mostly just to catch her breath and stave off the motion sickness.
“Don’t you worry,” Trixie said, forcing a smile. “The Great and Powerful Trixie is here to… to… fix everything!”
At this, the baby’s eyes got wider, and she again began to give a screaming cry. This time, sounding far more frightened.
“Uh, uh, uh,” Trixie said, looking around for the book. “Here, here, you fix it then. Here’s the spell!”
With that, she held the baby up against the page of the book.
“Now… turn yourself back!” Trixie demanded, breathing hard. “You can do it, you don’t want to be a baby forever, do you?”
The crying continued, and now there was a new concern growing in Trixie’s mind. There was a strange smell in the air. (One she wasn’t exactly familiar with, as she was certain her own shit didn’t stink.) It smelled like dampness, baby powder, and thinly-veiled regret. And maybe... chili? As she realized what it could possibly be, color drained from Trixie’s face.
“Oh no no no,” she said, using her magic to hold the infant far out in front of her. “This is not what I signed on for when we became friends. But who else could possibly deal with this?”
Twilight Sparkle sighed as she went to answer the insistent banging on the castle door.
“Just a moment, hold your horses,” she called, then muttered under her breath, “Spike, if you locked yourself out again, I swear to god…”
As she opened the door, she was left frozen in place not only by what she saw, but by the barrage of words from Trixie, and a pungent smell that floated through the air.
“Twilight you have to help me!” Trixie said desperately, her voice cracking. “Starlight tried to do a spell to stay young forever and I told her it was a bad idea but she didn’t listen to me probably because she’s intimidated by my greatness or something and it went wrong and turned her into a baby and I don’t know how to fix it and now she’s making weird smells and Trixie is SO not a good babysitter and doesn’t DO bodily fluids like that and I know you don’t really like me and put up with me because you’re bad at saying no which is probably how you ended up with Spike in the first place but I need your help please take this thing from me!”
Without letting Twilight answer, Trixie shoved the still loudly-crying baby Starlight Glimmer into Twilight’s hooves, and stepped back in horror. Twilight blinked a few times, trying to make sense of this all, and then took a deep breath and looked the crying baby over.
“Starlight, how many times have I told you that spells won’t solve all your problems!” The princess groaned.
“I know,” Trixie said, looking as if she might cry herself. “And I think she… you know… wet herself.”
Twilight glared at Trixie.
“You know this isn’t just wetting.”
“I’m trying to be optimistic, damn it!”
Twilight sighed and rolled her eyes.
“You’re lucky I used to change Spike’s diaper and that I know how to do it for Flurry Heart too,” she muttered. “We need to get her changed before we can try to turn her back.”
“We?”
“Yes we,” Twilight snapped. “You’re going to help me.”
“Help you how?”
“Just come on.”
Trixie trembled as she followed Twilight and the screaming baby into the next room. The princess cleared off a table and laid baby Glimmer down on it.
“Okay, you turn that teacup over there into a diaper, while I get started with cleaning,” she told Trixie.
“B-but… it’s a teacup,” Trixie whined.
“Just do it.”
Trixie groaned and then obliged. As she turned back with the fresh new diaper that still looked a little teacup-like somehow, she saw Twilight grimacing as she undid the tape at Starlight’s sides.
“You might want to hold your breath,” Twilight said, and even she sounded nervous now. “I think it might be a bad one.”
“A… bad one?”
No sooner had Trixie squeaked those words than the diaper fell back to reveal…
Oh.
Oh god.
Trixie’s mouth fell open in amazement, and she instantly pushed it shut again with her hooves, not only to keep out the foul taste in the air, but also to hold back the vomit. It looked like someone had stuffed an entire chocolate cake into the baby’s butt and private parts. But that definitely wasn’t chocolate. Chocolate wasn’t usually so… chunky. Making a high pitched whine of horror, Trixie staggered back away. Her eyes darted to Twilight, who was visibly pale and might have even been… shaking.
“Dear merciful lord,” Twilight said, her voice wavering and sounding choked by the fumes. “please take pity on us.”
In one abrupt motion, Twilight pulled the diaper out from underneath Starlight Glimmer and tossed it into the waste basket, which quickly began to hiss, bubble, and melt. Then, with a towel she swabbed at the filly’s much-dirtied rear and privates.
“Hurry,” Twilight wheezed out. “Give me that diaper before it gets worse.”
“How could it possibly get worse?” Trixie screamed in terror.
As if on cue, the baby let out an even louder shriek, and a stream of hot, golden urine shot out of her into the air. But this wasn’t the usual arching fountain. Oh no. This came out in a nearly fine mist, as if someone had placed their thumb over part of the end of a hose. Both Twilight and Trixie began to scream.
“HIT THE DECK!” Twilight yelled. “We’re taking on water!”
Both ponies dropped to the floor, trying to get out of the disgustingly warm rain that was coming down over their heads.
“Quickly!” Twilight ordered. “Get that diaper over her! Stop the leak!”
“On it!” Trixie cried, then lunged forward and shoved the diaper over Starlight’s crotch.
The baby went silent, seemingly shocked by the sensation, then stared up at Trixie wide-eyed. The blue unicorn gritted her teeth as she desperately swaddled the infant, put the striped tape on, and stepped back, panting.
“There… there, it’s done,” she said in a hollow voice.
Twilight rose and approached the table, after giving Trixie a supportive pat on the flank.
“Ya done good, Trix,” Twilight said. Then, she reached down and lifted the quiet baby into her arms. She even managed a cracked, shaken smile.
“There now, all better?” she cooed at the infant.
“Yes, much better, thank you,” Starlight said with a sigh.
Twilight dropped the baby, and both she and Trixie leapt back in shock.
“You can talk?” Trixie demanded.
“Well, yeah,” Starlight said. “My body is that of a baby, not my mind."
“Why didn’t you say that!” Twilight said, face quickly growing red with anger.
“Well, I mean,” Starlight said, rolling her eyes. “I didn’t really get the chance, I was crying from embarrassment and shame.”
“But… but…” Trixie stuttered out, then finally shouted. “BUT YOU POOPED IN YOUR DIAPER!”
“I WAS SCARED.”
“THAT’S NO EXCUSE.”
“Yeah,” Twilight said, narrowing her eyes. “Also, if you had your wits about you… why did you try to pee on us?”
There was a moment of uncomfortable silence, and then Starlight blushed deeply and looked away.
“Well… you know…” she said haltingly. “I have certain fetishes, and I figured… you know… when else would I get the chance, so…”
“OH COME ON,” Trixie yelled.
Twilight lifted the baby starlight up with her magic and, scowling, began to walk towards another room.
“Okay, that’s it, time out,” she said gruffly.
“Wait, what?” the baby squeaked.
“You’ve been a bad filly, and you’re going to spend a while in time out.”
“I’m not really a child, you can’t do this to me!” Starlight cried.
“Oh? What do you think Trixie?” Twilight said coldly as she turned to the other unicorn.
Trixie looked at Twilight, then down at the pleading expression of Starlight Glimmer, then back up at Twilight. Her eyes narrowed, her voice came out cold.
“You earned this,” she said in a hiss. “Don’t be such a baby.”
“NOOOOOOOOOO!” Starlight wailed as Twilight whisked her away to a well-deserved time out.

Well, it finally happened. Someone commissioned me to do a diaperfic. Make it messed up and weird, they said. Have fun with it, they said. Well, I have. And for those of you not horribly grossed out, I hope you got a laugh out of my little creation.
