The two sister princesses of Equestria have defended the land of colourful ponies for over a thousand years, just like their parents did before them. They have always stood in the name of harmony and peace.

At least that's what the public believe to be the case.

But what happens when proof of the opposite being once the truth comes in the form of another alicorn? An alicorn who has marched straight up to Canterlot's doorstep with a army strong enough to take it.

Twilight and her friends must attempt to uncover well kept secrets in order to defeat a vengeful alicorn adamant of becoming Equestria's King.

Celestia and Luna must also come to terms with the horrible acts they attempted to cover up, as well as terrible mistakes.
