Chapters One Sunday morning, the Parker family were eating breakfast, but nobody was being especially sociable. Jason, the eldest, was eating while listening to music on his headphones. The youngest, Andrea, was busy scrolling on her phone, given she had concluded eating.
“What?! Bronycon is next month?! And it’s here in New York?! Mom, Dad, can we go?!” Andrea said.
Well, more like screamed.
“Seriously, Andrea? You still watch that boring pony show?” Asked Jason, removing his headphones.
“What do you mean ‘boring’? It’s like, the best show ever made!!” Andrea said.
“Dude, that’s like the most childish show in the world!” Jason shot back.
And soon, their quiet breakfast turned into a shouting match. It was not pretty.
Eventually, the parents felt it neccesary to step and stop the chaos.
“Chris Jason and Andrea May Parker! Could you two please shut up! Andrea, when is it exactly?” Their Mom, Olivia, said.
“It's on January 23rd, Mom. Oh my gosh! I could probably get legit Rainbow Dash stuff there!!” Andrea said, excitedly.
“ I'd say yes since that show you watch is actually pretty cute. But if your father says yes, I’m going with you, OK?” Olivia said.
Andrea nodded her head.
“What’s your say, Jake?” After her mother said that, Andrea gave her dad big, cute, puppy eyes, almost pulling an Apple Bloom on him.
“Fine. But I won’t be going with you, I have work to do.” Their dad, Jake, said.
“YES! YES, YES, YES!! Thanks Dad!!” Andrea cried with exultation.
“What will I do then?” Said Jason, who seemed annoyed.
“Why don’t you ask your friends if they can come here and play video games or whatever you and your friends do?” Her son's face immediately lit up.
“Huh, that’s actually great idea!” Said a very, very happy Jason.
A few minutes later, Andrea receives a phone call from her friend, Tom Haddington. They had met on a school exchange many years ago when Andrea had come over from the US. They had promised to stay in contact, and had exchanged phone numbers, for Tom was a Brit. The other thing they had in common was a love of MLP, which was partly how they had bonded.
"Hey Tom!" Andrea said. "What's going on?"
"Hello Yank!" said the slightly tinny voice down the other end of the phone line. "You going to BronyCon? I sure am!"
Andrea laughed. "I sure am, Limey," she replied. "However, my Mom has insisted on coming with me."
"You've got it lucky. I've got to take Rebecca with me and-no, do not touch the Leman Russes!" There was a pause. "Sorry, I've gotta go before my sister trashes my Imperial Guard."
Andrea smiled at the chaos that must be going on in that Londoner's home. "See you soon!"
“Who was that?” boomed the voice of her father.
“That was Tom. He's the boy I met on that exchange trip a few years back? Turns out he's going to BronyCon too!” Andrea told her dad.
“Are you sure he’s just a friend?” Asked her dad.
“Yes, Dad, he’s just a friend, I promise!” Her father rolled his eyes.
"Somehow I doubt that," he grumbled as he walked away.
A sudden note of panic entered Andrea's voice. “Oh no, I have to go. Jessica will kill me if I’m late for our multiplayer game." She sped up the stairs. "I’m in my room if you need me!” With that, Andrea went to her room and played with her friend.

Two months had passed. To say Andrea was excited was an understatement, as BronyCon 2018 was only a night away.
“I have got to wear my Rainbow Dash shirt!” Andrea exclaimed, getting her shirt from her closet. She heard a knock at her door. “Come in” she said.
“Hey sweetie. I see you’re excited for tomorrow.” Olivia said, looking at the Rainbow Dash shirt in her daughter’s hands.
“Of course, Mom! Why wouldn’t I be excited? I’m going to Bronycon!” Andrea said with the largest smile anybody had ever seen.
“I know, sweetie, I know. But you have to go to bed soon. We’re leaving early tomorrow, ok?” her mother said.
“Ok, Mom. Thanks again for coming with me.” Andrea said.
“You’re welcome, dear. Now go get some sleep. Goodnight. Love you.” Olivia said kissing Andrea’s forehead.
“Night, Mom. Love you too.” And with that, Olivia left her daughters room. And as Andrea was going to bed, she thought to herself, “I hope I get to see Tom tomorrow.” She thought with a dreamy sigh. “No, Andrea, no. You promised Dad you and Tom are just friends. But, he iiis kinda cute.” She thought, before drifting off to sleep.
A night passed, as they are known to do. Andrea woke up to the sound of her alarm clock. After turning it off, she closed her eyes to at least get one more minute of sleep, but suddenly remembered the significance of that day. So she got up, made her bed, and went to breakfast. When she got downstairs, she saw her Mom and brother at the table.
“Gooooood morning!” She said smiling.
“Morning sis.” Jason told his sister while eating his pop tart.
Andrea, clearly in the mood to annoy him, took a piece of Jason’s pop tart.
“Heeeyyy!!!” Jason said, sounding annoyed.
“What, bro? Sharing is caring right?” Andrea told Jason while eating his pop tart.
“Another obscure TV reference? I hate you sometimes.” Jason told Andrea, glaring.
“I love you too, bro!” Andrea told her annoyed brother, before turning to her mother. “Hey Mom, where’s Dad?”
“He’s at work. His boss called him so he had to go early.” Olivia said.
“Oh, ok.” Andrea said, eating her pancake. Jason took a big bite on her pancake. “Jason!”
“What? You did say sharing is caring.”
Andrea just glared at her brother.
Olivia giggled at her kids. “Andrea, finish up quick so we could we could leave, ok?”
“OK, Mom!”
After a truly epic journey, Andrea and her mom just arrived at Bronycon. Andrea was scanning the whole room with wide eyes. Everywhere she looked she would see something about My Little Pony. “Wooaaah..” is all she had said since she got there.
“Brilliant!” said a strange Cornish voice behind her. Behind her, she saw her friend from those years ago, dressed up as Apple Bloom.
“Oh, hey Tom!” she called. Tom just waved back.
“Hi!” Said a small, cute voice.
“Hi, Rebecca! How are you?” Andrea said smiling.
“I’m fine, thanks for asking. I’m having a really good time here! This place is awesome!” Little Rebecca said.
“Aww, you’re so cute!” Andrea said, giggling.
“You must be Mrs Parker!” Tom said to Olivia.
“Hi! You must be Tom. Andrea told us about you. She said you love My Little Pony as much as she does.”
“Yep! It’s kinda why we bonded.” Tom said.
“But she never told me you were kinda cute.” Olivia said, with a smirk that would rival Elaina Mash.
“Mom!” Andrea said, with a blush that would make a tomato ashamed.
“What? It’s true!” Olivia said, utterly oblivious to her daughter's embarrassment.
“A-anyway,” Tom said, stuttering, and with a blush on his face, “Me and Rebec- I mean, Rebecca and I will just be roaming around. Bye!” Tom said really quick to save himself from more embarrassment.
“Bye, Tom” Andrea said, with her hands over her face to hide her embarrassed face. Once she recovered from the embarrassment her Mom caused her, she asked, “What was that for, Mom??”
“Really, dear? You think I didn’t see that face you had when you saw him? Or the look you had when he called you when you asked me if we could go here?”
“Mooom!!” She whined, “I promised Dad we were just friends!”
“Yeah, right. Just friends. Got it!” Her mom said with a smirk.
Andrea just sighed. “Come on. Let’s just talk about this later. I wanna get some Rainbow Dash stuff!” She said, pulling her Mom to a stall covered in home-made MLP merchandise. She'd seen Tom head to this stand a few minutes earlier, and purchase a superb Apple Bloom bow. Amongst the multitude of items was a recreation of Rainbow Dash's hair.
“MOM! MOM! MOM! LOOKIT THIS!!” She told her Mom. "It’s only 10 dollars!! Can we get it?! Pleeaaase mooom??” She said with puppy dog eyes.
“Ok sweetie. Here’s 10 dollars. Go pay for it.” Olivia said, giving Andrea $10.
“Thanks mom!” Andrea said kissing her Mom’s cheek. She gave the 10 dollars to the salesperson.
The saleslady told Andrea, “Enjoy your adventure!”
Andrea just looked at the saleslady a bit confused and said, “Erm.. Thanks, I guess.”
After paying for it, Andrea tried it on, but was knocked back by an unpleasant pulse through her body, followed by stomach cramps.
She sprinted to the restroom. On the way there, she saw a kid running past her, the spitting image of Apple Bloom.
“Aww! That little girl did a good job trying to look like AB!” Once she went inside the restroom, she looked at the small window and noticed that it was raining heavily. She even spotted a few lightning strikes.
But that was the least of her concerns. For she noticed in the mirror her eyes had changed colour, to a cerise shade. Not only that, her hair was no longer brown, but rainbow!
"What?" she asked. "This isn't possible!" She was seemingly oblivious to the fact her voice was dropping in pitch, and taking on a raspy tone as it did so. This was followed by her skin turning blue!
Andrea was now scared out of her mind, but had no choice but to watch as her clothes transformed into a white T-shirt with black piping, a blue shirt-sleeved jacket, a white and pink skirt with a pair of black bycicle shorts, and finally a pair of blue high-top boots.
She looked at the sight in front of her in confusion. Before her stood her favourite character. "Hello?" she asked. The voice of Rainbow Dash answered her back. She had changed into a perfect replica of Rainbow Dash, with every conceivable detail accounted for.
She ran out into the corridor, brushing past the Apple Bloom talking to Michelle Creber, and found her mother. "Mom!"
Olivia looked unconvinced. "Who are you?"
"I'm Andrea! I have no idea how this happened, but I look like Rainbow Dash now!"
The older woman sighed. "Nice try, cosplayer, but you're not fooling me." And she walked away.
Andrea felt tears forming in her eyes. When suddenly, the saleslady arrived, and she had an evil smirk on her face. And that’s when it hit her. Too late, Andrea made the connection between her and what had happened, and tried to run, before running into a door, knocking her out.

Chapter 2 - The Rainbow Awakens
Andrea open her eyes to see that she is in a room she is not familiar with.
“Wha..? Where the heck am I?” She told herself in a quiet voice. She sat up and looked at her surroundings, only to be greeted by a headache.
“Oww!! And why does my head hurt like crazy?” She added, grabbing her head and squinting her eyes from the throbbing pain.
“Ah, hello Rainbow Dash. You’re in the nurse’s office. And to why your head’s hurting, you have a very mild concussion. Soarin reported you in, because you hit your head on a door, very hard.” The nurse sighed, “What is it with kids hitting their head on doors? First Apple Bloom, and now you. We should really do something about that.” The nurse said, shaking her head.
Andrea, now tranformed as Rainbow Dash, finally opened her eyes. She saw the nurse that had been talking. She also noticed that she looked like Nurse Redheart from one of those episodes she watched.
“Nurse.. Redheart?” Rainbow asked, quite shocked. “Yes, Rainbow. I’m pretty sure you already know me from those accidents you have at soccer.” Redheart said, chuckling. “Soccer?” Rainbow asked again, still shocked. “That door might have hit you harder than I thought to have you forget about your favorite sport.” Redheart said. Dash didn’t say anything at first.
“Wait.. who brought me in?” She asked the nurse, as she processed everything that Redheart said. “Soarin. The co-captain of your soccer team.” Nurse Redheart told Dash.
As if on cue, Soarin came inside the room. “Hey, Dash.” He said.
“Erm.. Hey, Soarin. Erm.. uhh.. Nurse Redheart said you reported me in. Thanks.” She told Soarin, nervously smiling.
“No problem, Dash. It’s the least I can do for a friend.” He said smiling back at her.
As he told her this, she felt this warm, funny, tingly feeling.
She then thought of something, ‘Oh.. my.. gosh.. Does Rainbow Dash have a crush on Soarin?! That. Is. So. AWESOME! SoarDash is my number 1 favorite ship!’ She thought inwardly squealing.
“How are you feeling now, Dash?” Soarin asked her with worry in his voice.
“Well, other than this headache, I’m OK.” Dash told him.
“That’s good. At least it’s nothing that serious. It is not that serious, right?” Soarin said from happy to worried again.
“Yes. It’s not that serious. And, you get to go home now, Rainbow Dash. You should rest, and take lots of water. Give yourself a week or two of rest, which includes no sports. But if you can still go to school, please do. And if you’re head starts hurting during classes, please don’t hesitate to come here.” Nurse Redheart told her.
“OK. Thanks Nurse Redheart.” Dash told the nurse, getting up and heading out of the nurse’s office with Soarin.
There were loads of other students in the hallway. So it was pretty hard to get through the crowd.
In her peripheral vision, she saw a colorful poster. As she walked to it, she found that it was pretty familiar.
“Hey, Soarin! Do you know who made this poster?” She asked him with a curious face.
“Erm.. Dash.. you and the other memvers of the Rainbooms did that, remember?” Soarin told her with a brow raised.
“Oh, umm.. yeah! Of course I remember!” She told Soarin, as she remembered that this is the poster that they were making in Rainbow Rocks.
“Are you sure you’re OK? You’ve been acting pretty unusual. More than you should. Y’know you can tell me anything right?” Soarin said, with a very worried look.
“I’m fine Soarin, I swear!” Rainbow said as nervous beads of sweat started to form on her forehead.
Soarin just nodded, still with a worried look on his face.
‘He looks so cute even when he’s worried!’ Dash thought to herself
Riiiing.
The bell rang. “I’m sorry Dash. I gotta run. I’m late for class. See ya!” Soarin said.
“See ya!” Dash said, waving goodbye to Soarin as he walked away.
“Ooookay then. I hope I have my house location saved on my phone.” She said to herself, opening her phone’s maps app looking for her house’s location. Fortunately, she had the location.
As she was on her way home, she tried to think of how she got here in the first place. Which was pretty hard because of her headache.
She remembers BronyCon, buying a Rainbow Dash wig, heading to the restroom, talking to her Mom...
She stopped walking as soon as she remembered that last thought.
Her Mom.
Her eyes started filling up with tears as she remembered what happened. Her Mom leaving her thinking it was just a random cosplayer.
Tears started falling.
“I need to get to my home in this world quick. I need to find some answers!” She told herself with determination.
“Dangit!” Rainbow cursed. She tried searching online for clues of how she got here.
She found..
Nothing. Absolutely.. nothing.
“There was a time we couldn’t see past the differences, that separated you and me and it left us on our own. But now you walk this halls and friends are everywhere. Yeah we’re the Wondercolts forever, oh-oh yeah!” Her ringtone rang. She answered the call.
“Howdy, RD!” Said an enthusiastic southern country voice at the other end of the call.
“Hey.” Dash said, less enthusiastic.
“Soarin said ya hit yer head on a door. How‘re ya feelin’ now?” Applejack asked.
“I have a few headaches, Nurse Redheart said I have a mild concussion. Nothing to serious.”Rainbow said blankly.
“Oh. Get well soon, then. Pinkie said we’ll move our sleepover to next week. You need all the rest you can get.” Applejack said.
“Thanks, AJ.” Rainbow said, still with no enthusiasm.
“Welp, I gotta go. Winona’s gettin’ hangry. Gotta go feed her before she becomes a dog-demon. Bye RD!” Applejack said.
“K, Bye.” Rainbow said before ending the call, and free-falling on her bed.
