The very first thing you wouldn't expect from coming out of a good night's rest was a combat knife intruding your thigh. Second thing you wouldn't expect was a punch in the jaw to get you on alert and for your eyes to align correctly to the light that would blur your vision.

But Whistle Tone went through this with quick succession, having a black bag taken off his head to realize that he was in the room. Everyone in the organization feared the room, for they knew what was to come from it. This was the room for unneeded liabilities and traitors. And the ones that come here are the ones who get caught. Others….

“Whistle Tone, you are in violation of code 956-H and code 999-A: tampering of organization evidence without approval and releasing confidential files of the organization. The time followed…” Tone was trying to listen to the soldier in charge of his predicament, but only heard a muffle. His ears kept ringing. At some point, the soldier stopped talking and grabbed his scalp, roughly pulling his head back into the hanging light to show her face to him.

“Hey Tone, pay attention you fuck!”

He blinked his eyes to see a better vision of her. He could only see an orange blurr of some sort before his eyes got a clear vision of his angry former rival, Colonel Sunset Shimmer. He always hated her whenever she came around to being a major bitch to him on days when her panties get tight in her snatch. With every action he had against her, he knew it would be putting a nail in his coffin. He couldn’t trust her and ‘nor could she vice versa, which was where they never made contact again after he moved to the facility all the way in the deep end of Haysead Swamps close by Baltimare.

When the facility had an emergency shutdown was how they unfortunately met again.

Whistle’s voice was gruff. The rough treatment was shotty at best from what he had to endure before. They were going easy on him. “I hear you loud and clear… you fucking dipshit.”

“Good.” She pulled out the knife, making him grunt vulgarity. She held the nose end to one of his hands that were mechanically bound, crouching in front of him to be eye level. She pressed the bloody piece against the back of his hand, making him try to retract from it to no avail. It was lightly intruding him. “Because the General is going to be here in a minute and I need you bright eyed and ready.”

“F... F-Fuck the General… I know she was in on what happened at H-Haysead… and you’re too devoted to fucking notice it.

Sunset obviously didn’t like his answer and pressed down on his hand to penetrate his flesh and tissue, making him grit his teeth and stress his arm to appease the pain as long as he could.

“Colonel Shimmer, stand down!”

Tone could see the frustration in her eyes when she heard the General from behind her. He didn't have enough spirit to care; this was their time to pull this crazy bitch away from him. And she reluctantly did so, getting back up from the floor and retracting the blade from his bleeding hand before wiping the blood on his shirt to clean it. The General came up beside her, her boots echoing ever closer to them to show her presence. Tone saw her in black military uniform, but it looked more slick and smooth than her usual attire, like she was going on a night operation.

“Why won't you let me just do this?” Once she stopped beside Sunset, she put her hand on her shoulder as she shifted in front of her, the General's back to Whistle.

“Because you're unpredictable… Pull back,” she stated calmly. Sunset was beginning to lose her cool and character. Whistle Tone knew he did some shit to her, but to be this dramatic?

“Twilight, I've dealt with this guy. You have to let me-”

“I'm not going to let you jeopardize this whole project just because you have personal ends to meet with him. Pull back now, Sunset.”

Whistle couldn't see how she looked, but he had a feeling that Sunset was having a stare down with the General after her stern cutoff, like she didn't want any of her shit. The only way he could tell was by the longevity of Twilight’s stance against her.

“... Fine.” She scuffed before stepping back slowly to a darker part of the room. It would've been a dream to Whistle to see her as an ‘out of sight, out of mind’ type of case. Even though she was leaning in the corner on the far side with daggers piercing his very being, the General became his concern at this point when she changed her attention to him as her main focus. At least the thought counted for something meaningful.

That was until she talked to him with a grin.

“Do you know why you are here, Lieutenant Tone?”

“Because I'm a whistleblower. Get on wi-

“Wrong.” She interrupted, inspiring Tone to be quiet. “You're here because on behalf of the organization, we'd love to congratulate you for being one of our gracious volunteers in our ongoing project for 'Asindosuk’, our biggest and most promising creation.”

Whistle blinked with confusion mixed with growing worry and anxiety. The word was creeping along his neck. Asindosuk. He heard of it before the swamp station closed down after the breach. That name...

He pulled on his restraints to no avail once again, not trying to escape by will, but by fear. “W-what are you t-talking about?” He stuttered, relentlessly tugging the metal that kept him at bay.

Twilight was taken back but still kept her poise on the news. “You mean you don't remember signing your waiver forms for it? We were all there, Lieutenant. Isn't that right Colonel?”

“Yup... saw it with my own eyes.” Sunset got out from the corner before heading toward the door, the only unreachable freedom that Whistle could see.

Twilight smiled brighter. “And you were so honored to implement the project today with us in a hurry!” She moved her eyes to the side after she heard the door closed before getting back to him. “We were planning on doing this in a few days. But since we're doing this in a few minutes, I'll ask you this simple question; just between you and me.”

She crouched down in front of him, her smile lowering to a simple smirk. “How did you feel after linking that information out? Did you have a sense of power, thinking you were doing something right?”

“No, my common sense j…” he pinched his eyes after clenching his thigh, his open wound back into his attention. “... just went into overdrive. I stayed faithful to the cause for you maniacs for five years… and have kept up with this bullshit you all do. Why gain on something so asinine and impossible? We're ruining lives for what purpose? A longer lifespan?”

“Immortality, lieutenant…” she stood up. “We are looking for the next look on society, the future of mankind in a more… ‘suitable’ advancement.”

She turned to walk to a concrete wall and leaned back on it, crossing her arms as she looked at him with that same smirk. Whistle looked down on the ground, observing the small cracks.

“Think about it. A world where people don't have to go to funerals to see their friends and family lifeless. The body will always regenerate to keep your youth. You'll never get old. And all it takes is just a few body modifications.”

All Tone heard was bullshit coming out of her mouth. She tried to make this sound great, but he knew what they could do. All it had to take was a few hours.

If only the doctors had time to record it back at the swamp.

“And what makes you think the people infected will be the same?” He heard the door open again and looked up to see Sunset returning with a small containment jar with the worm inside. He was on edge. “Y-You can't change the way people are by a fucking worm!”

Her grin turned short into an annoyed frown.

“You can't even control them now let alone control yourself.”

Twilight got off the wall and stood with her arms crossed. “lieutenant-”

“Fuck you! You're just doing this to build a fucking ARMY of this shit!”

She walks closer to him until she was in front of him. “Shut up, Whistle Tone...”

He looked up at her. “For what, from explaining your inability to claim a source you can't handle? What do you have, to gain the mentality of a creature that has no self control for itself? You're on a fantasy that has no foundation, no loyalty, and no honor. That's fucking WRONG!

After his last word, the room fell silent. No notice of intrusion or interruption. Just the emptiness of vibration beside from short movements. He had his opportunity for what he wanted to say, and a response never came back to him. He didn't know if she decided to block him out or finally had a nerve broken and didn't know what to say yet…

She smirked.

“You're right, Whistle. We have been going about this the wrong way...” She turned around and walked to Sunset, grabbing the jar. Twilight also asked for her knife, to which she reluctantly obliged to. She walked up to him, Tone looking at the jar. “... TeamLite has been looking at this for a long duration, but never truly focused on this type of flaw. This usually would come to account in later years and might even cut the funding to Asindosuk.”

She opened the jar and tossed the aluminum lid on the floor, firmly holding the containment as she continued. “Mainly the big wigs that pay for it don't care unless it gets them money… but I care deeply and am willing to take any types of criticism.”

Suddenly, she stabbed his already wounded thigh, hearing him cry out in pain and excruciating agony. It escalated further when she pulled it toward her chest, making it into a large dash, his blood flowing profusely in his pants. It was unbearable. His legs tingle and his muscles tensed by the inflammatory menstruation, his tissue tearing from the tainted metal that violated him too many times...

And Twilight looked at him, caressing her moment before pulling the knife out and tossing it away to the corner, her smirk never leaving.

She ignored his gruff moans, grabbing the parasite from the jar by its tail end. “So starting immediately, we will be putting our efforts to where it matters most, starting with you!”

“F-FUCK YOU, YOU FUCKING BI-AAH! AH! AAAH, FUCK!” From twisted form of anger came unsettling fear. The worm was quickly set on him and immediately entered the large gash in his thigh. He could feel its teeth biting through his muscle. It was wiggling itself inside slowly but progressively, inevitably sealing Whistle's fate.

Twilight walked off to the door and opened it. “Thanks for the feedback, Whistle Tone. I'll make sure the scientists keep that in consideration. Tell me when he's done, Colonel.”

She walked out the room and let it close behind her, leaving Sunset alone with a struggling man whose fear had overcome his mind. The parasite disappeared; that would be the last she'd see it.

Whistle could feel it move quickly within his hamstrings until it got deeper in his body. After that, he couldn't feel it roaming around and exploring. All he had now was time on his hands, maybe try to make amends with his wrong doings if it was even possible. Inside of him was a ticking time bomb that could destroy him in any second, and the only thing that happened to be first, was the closest one to him.

Sunset… I'm sorry.

But it never came out.

He regurgitated on the floor, his stomach feeling like it was being destroyed. He did it repeatedly until his vomit became bloody, the contents more chunky. His vision became blurry and his mind was clouded before he finally blacked out.
