//-------------------------------------------------------// Papercolt -by Undead Equestrian Writer- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Angel of death //-------------------------------------------------------// Angel of death I sat on the corner of main street and 9th, in the pouring rain. My newspapers where dry, yet I wasn't. Selling newspapers in the rain sucks, but I prefer it to the snow, which I have to do too. "Haha, if it isn't the orphan who screams about good news," I winced as I turned around, seeing three other filles. All of them where apart of the Howler gang, and loved picking on the papercolts. "The only good news is that even your parents didn't love you." "J-Just leave me alone, please," I backed away slowly. One of the foals grabbed my paper sack and dumped the all of the papers into a puddle on the ground. I watched the newspapers melt in the small puddle on the ground, as the other two foals pinned me and beat me. "S-Stop!" "Never, you fucking orphan, you should just kill yourself like your marefriend did," I cried as I was beat and battered. "She killed herself because she couldn't take being with you anymore!" I let them beat me until the left me sobbing and bleeding in the rain, my bofy bruised and bleeding. I slowly sat up, crying softly as I spat out several teeth. I grabbed some of the newspapers thatbweren't completely ruined and placed them back into my bag. "Hey, how much is it for a paper?" I looked over and saw a bright pink. I opened my swollen eye a little bit more until I stared into the cyan blue of Pinkie Pie. "Oh, um, hello Pinkie Pie, it'th a bit for a paper," she smiled and put a bit in my hoofband grabbed one of the ruined papers, stuck it in her hair and thanked me. "Bye..." Being a papercolt has it's perk, such as meeting the elements of harmony. I was okay friends with Scootaloo until she was adopted by Rainbow Dash. I also knew most names if the ponies in town and what was happening in the world. I could also read and write, but that wasn't a necessity to sell papers. I through Pinkie's coin into a small coin purse I had hid under a wooden crate nearby. I sat in the rain for the rest of the day, selling a few more papers, before I finally headed back to the Ponyville Press. I handed in my earned bits and papers, and waited for my beating for not selling enough. "You stupid foal, do you not know how to sell newspapers?" I sat still as I was lectured and pushed around. I waited before I was dismissed to go. I walked outside, feeling the cold rain hit my coat again. I slowly walked to my home, the Ponyville Orphange, ran by one Miss Nice. Miss Nice's name was a blatant lie, as she was the most cruel and evil mare I have ever met. She ignored most of the children, letting several babies die every month due to her negligence. She left many malnourished and unbathed, any money she made went to her and her jewelery. I open the door to the orphange and walk past the several children playing with dice and cards, bowing my head when I walked past the Howlers, but I didn't see the three that had picked on me. I walked upstairs and entered into the boys bunk room, as I grabbed some of my clothes and dried myself off. I took my newsboy cap off and stuffed it under my pillow, before laying down on the hard bed. I yawned softly as I slowly fell asleep, the sound of rain hitting against my window. I stared at the three sniffling foals in front of me. The Howlers gang acted tough but in reality they were pushovers. "What are you gonna do to use?" One of the foals asked of me. I smiled and chuckled softly. "I'm going to hurt you, so very badly, then I'm going to kill you," I picked up a hammer and a single nail, impalling it into their eye, as they opened their mouths to scream, the sound that made it all worth it. "Such a beautiful symphony of pain and anguish." "YOU'RE A FUCKIN' NUTTER!" The foal yelled at me. I just grabbed another nail and impalled it into their other eye. They screamed in pain as I left her, walking over to the other foals. I grabbed two nails again, and slammed one into their ear, deafening them in that ear. "This is for that papercolt, I despise of bullying," I slam the other nail into their ear, deafening them completely. Their screams didn't even fall upon their own ears. Their eyes scanning my face for any sign of remorse. I shook my head as I bit their cheek softly, giggling cutely. I kept giggling as I approached the final foal. "You blinded one of my friends, deafened the other," I waited to see if they could figure it out. "Y-You're going silence me." "Ding, ding, ding, we have a winner," I grabbed a pair of pliers and slowly pulled on their tongue as they cried, waiting for the pain. I finally stop teasing and rip their tongue out, as I stared at their bloody tongue. They choked on their blood as I smiled. "Now I suppose it's time for the fun times to end." I grabbed a surgical knife and slit each and everyone of their throats slowly, drawing out their suffering and death. I was shook awake, my head still dizzy from sleep. I looked around, seeing a police mare. "I need you to come with me, okay, get ready and come down," I nodded insticitvely as I grabbed my newsboy hat, placing it on my head. I rubbed the sleep from my eyes as I walked downstairs, seeing several officers at the front door. "Ah, good, please, come this way." "Um, can I ask what's going on?" I looked at them all. I walked out the door, walking toward the police cart. "You're the suspect in a murder," I stopped dead in my tracks. I looked at the mare to see if she was joking or not. I got in the cart, silent and nervous. I had so many questions that wanted answers too, but I remained silent out of fear and nervousness. The bumpy roads of Ponyville slowly lulled to sleep, but I was awoken by the mare, yelling at me to wake up. I sat up straight and waited for the ride to end. Finally, it did. "Out," I slowly stepped out of the cart and watched as hoofcuffs where placed on my front and back hooves. I was pushed into the building in front of me, the massive stone building being the police headquarters, a new addition to ponyville. I was ushered down the halls and into a room with a black window on the wall, as I was forced into the chair. Before long a new pony entered the room and sat in front of me. "Hello, I'm detective Clue, and you are?" "My name is Pap, um, may I ask why I'm here?" "We have reasons to believe that you were involved in the death of three other orphans," he placed the pictures of the foals on the table. "I just have some questions for you, then you can go." "Um, alright, not like I have a choice," I swallowed, my coat matted to my body from my sweat. He smiled and started asking me questions, such as did I know the foals or where I was. At the end of the questions he smiled and left the room, and a minute later a unicorn entered and the hoof cuffs where removed. "Your orphange director has informed us that she doesn't want you staying at the orphange anymore, do you have anywhere you can go?" I nodded and slowly walked away from the police station, the cold rain hosing me down as I walked towards sugarcube corner. Author's Note Tell me what I did well, what I didn't do well, support helps
