Diamond Mirage was staring out the rumbling window watching trees and bushes pass by in a blur. She sat in her seat fidgeting with her hands. Today was a special occasion for her. “So little lady, what brings you to Ponyville?” The driver asked as he smiled in the rear view mirror while keeping his eyes fixated on the road. . “I'm going to meet someone there.” Mirage said, not being too descriptive. The cab driver shrugged and drove on, no use in pushing the subject. After three hours of driving, the cab pulled up to an old, manor-like building. There was ivy growing up the front of the building with cracks scattered through the bricks and mortar. The passenger door opened as a small Zubat flew out the car; while Diamond paid the driver for the ride. Diamond climbed out with her bag. She slid the strap over head just as the Zubat landed on her left shoulder. Diamond reached up and pet the Zubat on its head. “Well Vlad, at least I have you, and not some fire lizard.” She said smiling as she walked up the path towards the building. Diamond was getting more nervous as she approached the door. Opening the front door, she fell back in shock as a Pidgey immediately flew out. It was soon followed by a blonde girl in a lab coat running after it. “Hey wait if I don't bring you back the professor will scold me again!” she called. Holding a poké-ball, she chased the bird down the path and out of sight. Diamond stood up looking confused, as she walked through the doorway. A short distance down the hallway, she noticed there was a big mess of trays and poké-balls on the floor. Mirage stepped over to the mess and began to clean up everything. She picked up one of the balls and she set it on the tray. Turning around, her hair hit the ball, causing it to roll off the stand and onto the floor. Letting a bright white light out, the energy released began the take form and a Deino stood on the floor. The small dragon type Pokémon walked over to her and bit her ankle. “OWWW!!” Diamond yelled, as the dragon scurried away in fear. Other Deinos like the one previously held in the Pokéball can’t see so they flee from unknown dangers. A man in a lab coat and messy brown hair ran in to see a girl on the floor holding her ankle trying not to cry in pain. “Hang on Miss, let me get the first aid kit,” he said as he left for a few moments, returning with a white case. He crouched down and began to cover the bite mark with ointment and bandages. After he finished, he helped her up with a smile. “So, how may I help you young lady?” The man asked. “I'm here to pick up my Poké-dex, and I'm hoping you would have some spare Poké-balls,” she explained with a slight quiver in her voice. “Oh right, you’re that new trainer starting your journey today.” he said as he waved his hand, gesturing her to follow him. As the two briskly strolled their way through the lab, Diamond saw many Pokémon throughout it. Some were wired up to medical machines, while others were playing around. It was clear that the Professor took great care of each Pokémon. She smiled at the scene around her. “Now, you’ve already chosen a pokémon, correct?” he asked as Vlad landed on Diamond’s head as if on cue to answer his question. “Yes sir, I came here to acquire a Poké-dex,” she said as the professor nodded to her. He walked to a shelf that held multiple red smart-phone like devices. He reached up and grabbed one of them off the shelf. While he opened a drawer, that had multiple Poké-balls sitting in it. The professor walked back to Diamond, handing her the device along with a few Pokéballs. “Well these should help you out.” The Professor said. As the blonde girl from earlier walked in just as Diamond Mirage was heading out of the lab. The blonde noticed Diamond putting the Poké-dex and balls in her bag. “Oh hello there, are you the new assistant?” she asked Diamond nodded. She smiled. “That's good to hear, I'm Derpy Hooves! Nice to meet you dear.” Derpy said as she shook Diamond’s hand. Diamond returned the smile. “Derpy, could you give our new friend a lesson in being a trainer?” the professor asked Derpy who nodded, as she led Diamond out of the laboratory. The two walked down the path towards a building with a red roof, then headed in. Many people were scattered about the room. Four trainers outside at the battlefield were having a tag battle, while others inside were either buying items to stocking up for the next leg of their journey, or just relaxing for a while. Derpy explained all the functions of the building as they went through. “Ok, let's see, the woman at the counter there will heal your Pokémon free of charge. This building is called a Pokémon Center you will see them often on your journey. And oh yeah, over there is a shop called the Pokémart for all your item needs such as Potions, Pokéballs, and stuff. I suggest stocking up on repels for areas with many Pokémon, just in case you need to get through an area if all members of your team have fainted.” After walking for a while the two stood at the entrance to route one. This classic sight was the starting point for many Pokémon Trainers who began their own journeys “Well Diamond, I assume you already know how to catch Pokémon, since you have Vlad at your side” She said with a smile as Diamond nodded. She left Derpy with a wave and headed off toward route one, humming as her trusty Zubat flew beside her. “Vlad, I have a feeling that this will be the start of something magical. Let’s go!” said Diamond Mirage excitedly. Vlad was now perched on her right shoulder. ”Zubat,” he screeched in agreement as Diamond Mirage started sprinting down the route with a spring in her step. Our new young trainer is on the road to her journey only time will tell what challenges she will face with Vlad at her side. Chapter 2Chapter Two Egg Troubles Fluttershy was standing outside with a bag of Pokéfood scattering it onto the ground. Pidgey, Taillow, and other flying type Pokémon had begun gathering around and were pecking at the feed. As Fluttershy walked through her Pokémon reservation with a clipboard and some other items, she checked on the Pokemon that called her reserve their home. She smiled as she watched two Nidoran playing together, and other young Pokémon laying around in the sun. She truly did love caring for all sorts of Pokémon. “I wonder how Mirage is doing?” she asked herself while she finished her mundane evening chores. Fluttershy was tasked with doing this every single day. Once they were complete she walked back to her small cottage. Sitting in her kitchen after hours of checking everything, she sipped on a cup of jasmine tea. A Buneary jumped onto the table looking slightly irritated as he glanced down at his empty food bowl. Fluttershy nodded. This particular rabbit happened to belong to her, and he was picky when it came to his feeding time. “Sorry Angel, I just finished here. I’ll get to you right away,” Shy said. She refilled his bowl with food, which he promptly started to chow down on. Standing up, she looked out the kitchen window to see Diamond Mirage running down the path. With a smile, she walked outside with Angel lounging on top of her head. Diamond Mirage ran down the route till she came to a side path, which led to the world famous Fluttershy Pokémon Reservation. Vlad let out a happy screech as he flew ahead to see his friends. “Okay Vlad, we can't stay long, remember?” Diamond said smiling, excited to see her mom again. They had an importanr journey ahead after all. As she kept running as a small hut began to rise up from the horizon. The hut now came into view, as it had a straw roof with flowers scattered around the yard. Diamond felt at peace as she slowed to a walking pace, with her mom now walking from the house with Angel still on her head. Vlad flew over to Fluttershy and Angel jumped down in excitement and hopped after Vlad to play. Diamond laughed as Angel jumped at Vlad, who flew just out of his reach each time. “Well dear, did you get what you needed from the Professor?” Shy asked as Diamond walked up to her. She nodded as she showed the Poké-dex to her mom. Diamond and Shy walked through the front door of their house as Angel and Vlad vanished into the reserve with other Pokémon following them to play. The two ladies sat at the kitchen table. “Let me get us some coffee.” Shy said as she got back up and stepped over to the sink. Reaching up, she took a kettle off of a shelf above the sink. Filling the kettle with water, she set it on the stove top, and turning the burner on, she sat back down smiling. “So what do you plan to do now?” Fluttershy asked as Diamond set her bag on the floor yawning. Her sleep schedule had always been off balanced. “Well I was going to head to the first gym in Cloudsdale.” She replied, her mom's eyes widened in shock. “You want to battle?” she asked as she sat back with a concerned look on her face. She looked out the window as memories of a baby wrapped in blankets and alone in the forest. “Dear why not go back to Ponyville to challenge the gym there?” Fluttershy suggested which caught Diamond by surprise. “There is a gym in Ponyville? I wasn’t aware that town had one.” She asked which caused her mom to giggle a little bit. A loud whistle sounded out, which caused her to get back up to tend to the boiling kettle. “Yes it's run by Spitfire the former leader of the Wonderbolts.” She answered as Diamond was watching her make two cups of coffee. Setting the cups down she sat back down blowing on the drink to cool it down. Diamond sipped at her cup when Vlad and Angel came through the open window. Angel jumped onto the table while Vlad landed on Diamonds right shoulder. “Hey mom do you have any suggestions for a second Pokémon I could find for my team?” She asked as Fluttershy closed her eyes thinking. Her eyes snapped open as she stood up and dashed into the house then returned with a brown and white egg. “I think this little one will help you out.” She answered as she gave the egg to Mirage smiling. It was brown with a lighter patch around the top. “What is it?” Diamond asked as Vlad looked at the egg curious. While Shy sat back down smiling this was going to be amazing. “It's an Eevee egg sweetheart.” She said as Angel jumped over to Diamond picked up her hand and set it on her head, wanting to be pet. Diamond smiled as she rubbed his head then she sat there looking at the Eevee egg. “What happened to its parents?” She asked confused as to how the egg came to be alone. Most Pokémon parents tended to stay with their egss. “Well its family is ... I'm sure is in a better place.” Fluttershy said not wanting to go into detail. Seeing this Diamond decided not to push the subject any further. Her mother was always sensitive over subjects like that. She opened her bag and made room to set the egg, seeing this Shy quickly got up and grabbed an egg capsule. “Here this will keep the egg safe dear.” Fluttershy said as she took the egg and gently placed it inside After closing the egg capsule she handed it back to Mirage who smiled as she took the capsule back. “Well Mom I think it's time for me and Vlad to head out,” She said as she stood up from the table. “I will come back after I earn my first badge.” She finished as she drank her cup of coffee finally. “Okay dear I will make your favorite food as a reward when you come back.” Shy said smiling as she hugged Diamond tight. “Please be careful sweetie promise me.” She said nervous of letting her daughter go on this journey. “Don't worry mom I'll be just fine,” Diamond Mirage answered as she hugged Shy back. Pulling away and letting go she saw her daughter off. Angel wa bit sad to see the Zubat go they had just started playing together. Diamond accompanied by Vlad left the house and headed back to Ponyville for the new trainer’s very first gym battle challenge. Chapter 3Chapter Three Crime against Fashion “Come on darling you will look so handsome in it.” A woman with deep purple hair and flawless pure white skin. Said in a regal manner as she kept trying to put a bow tie on the little psychic type. Ralts kept stepping away to avoid the article of clothing. She sighed as she stood back up, putting the bowtie in her bag. Another Ralts that belonged to her ran up to the two. This one was pointing towards the path which a girl with a Zubat flying beside her. The purple haired woman interested stood there till the young girl was walking by her. “Well I see your not very social darling.” The woman stated as the blue haired girl turned in her direction surprise she looked at the older woman confused, then she spotted the two Ralts and smiled. “Oh wow there so adorable!” Diamond said as she walked over to them and crouched down. Reaching out to pet one it smiled as it let her, the other one stood there waiting. Which Diamond preceded to pet it. “I see you are not a bad person looks like?” the woman said smiling. The two Ralts looked up at Vlad who flew down and they started to play together. “I'm Rarity darling, and who might you be?.” Rarity said as Diamond stood back up to look at her. “I'm Diamond Mirage nice to meet you Rarity.” Suddenly her eyes widened as she realized who the woman was. Her name had been a prominent subject at home. “My mom told me about you.” She said as she smiled. Rarity was confused by the statement. “Who pray tell is your mother Darling?” She asked unable to place any of the people that she knew with the girl as her parent. “My mother is Fluttershy.” Diamond said as Vlad flew back up, and landed on her left shoulder. Diamond smiled at him as Rarity's mouth dropped in sudden surprise. “When did Fluttershy have a daughter?” She asked having no memories of Fluttershy being close to any men at all. The dear had always been too shy to reveal any feelings. “I'm technically not her biological daughter,” Diamond said as she explained how things led to the situation. “She found me as a baby alone on her Reservation eleven years ago.” She finished as Rarity nodded as the fashion forward trainer understood. “Fluttershy has always been a very caring woman even when we was young. We were, and are friends since a long time ago.” She explained smiling. “So what brings you out this far dear?” Rarity asked as her two Ralts went off to play. Those two usually were serious inside battle so any time outside was spent playing. “I was going to try and find another partner Pokémonto prepare for the gym in Ponyville.” said Diamond Mirage. “Well the Everfree forest is a good place for finding Pokémon. They are crawling everywhere you need to look hard enough.” Rarity smiled as she looked at the creepy forest shivering at the stuff said to live inside of it. “Well it was nice meeting Rarity, if you’ll excuse me I have some Pokémon to catch.” Diamond said as she walked away heading into the forest with Vlad flying beside her. “Darling wait up, your mother would kill me if I let you go in there by yourself!” Rarity said as she ran up to Diamond Mirage. After she recalled her two Ralts into their Pokéballsand began walking alongside her. As the two girls walked into the forest it was clear that they were not alone. There were many bug type Pokémon that clung to trees and and logs. Diamond was watching a Wurmple crawl along a tree branch above her head. “Ok darling let us hurry up cause the bugs types are rather unpleasant to gaze upon..” Rarity said as she sidestepped a Weedle that was crawling towards her. It was rather visible that she did not particularly favor the bug types. “Come on now they are not gross thei absolutely adorable.” Diamond said as a Butterfree landed next to her as she sat on a tree stump to rest for a bit. Diamond Mirage pet the butterfly on its head and it flew off into the forest. She could tell from the black markings on it's wings that the Butterfree had been female. As the two girls sat there talking a Pokémon that was hidden in the underbrush watching them. Diamond had taking her bag off and pulled out her egg case. While she was polishing the Eevee egg, Vlad the Zubat was sitting on the log eating from a bowl full of Poké-food. The Pokémon watching from the bushes moved away losing interest in the two girls. They weren’t even that intimidating.It began stepping on a stick the snapping sound caught Vlad’s attention who alerted Diamond who stood up ready to battle. “Ok Vlad go and bring our visitor to the open.” Vlad with being surprised flew into the forest. He forced the Pokémon into the clearing using the move Supersonic. This would reveal it to be a wild Scyther. “Oh my that is quite a rare Pokémon,” Rarity said in surprise, “They normally live in the deepest part of the Everfree forest.” She finished as the Scyther growled as it swiped at Vlad who nimbly dodged the blade. “Well I think I might have found my new partner. Just need to catch him or her.” Diamond said smiling as Vlad flew back to her ready to battle. “Ok Vlad use Bite now.” Obeying Vlad flew towards the Scyther and with it sharp fangs bit the Scyther on it's left blade.This caused it to reel back in much pain. Glaring the Scyther suddenly vanished then reappeared slamming into Vlad with a quick attack that slammed him into a tree. “Darn it Scyther used Quick Attack. Don't give up Vlad you can do it!” Diamond cried as Vlad flew back up, then it dove back down. It struck the Scyther with it's right wing landing a critical hit. Wing attack was a flying type move so the bug type had no defenses. The Scyther hit the ground with swirls in its eyes showing it had fainted. “Ok Poké-ball go!” Diamond yelled as she threw the ball. It struck the unconscious Scyther and landed on the ground. The ball shook multiple times, leaving her in anticipation. The capture device clicked showing that it was captured. “I did it,” Diamond said as she ran over to the ball and picked it up smiling. “I caught a Scyther!” She cried our holding the ball up. Taking out her Poké-dex it showed all the info on Scyther who was male. It asked if she wanted to nickname the Scyther. Tapping the ‘yes’ key she input the name Rouge smiling. “Well Rouge welcome to the family.” She said as she looked at the ball pretty confident in her chances at winning her future gym battle.

She opened her bag and made room to set the egg, seeing this Shy quickly got up and grabbed an egg capsule. “Here this will keep the egg safe dear.” Fluttershy said as she took the egg and gently placed it inside After closing the egg capsule she handed it back to Mirage who smiled as she took the capsule back. “Well Mom I think it's time for me and Vlad to head out,” She said as she stood up from the table. “I will come back after I earn my first badge.” She finished as she drank her cup of coffee finally. “Okay dear I will make your favorite food as a reward when you come back.” Shy said smiling as she hugged Diamond tight. “Please be careful sweetie promise me.” She said nervous of letting her daughter go on this journey. “Don't worry mom I'll be just fine,” Diamond Mirage answered as she hugged Shy back. Pulling away and letting go she saw her daughter off. Angel wa bit sad to see the Zubat go they had just started playing together. Diamond accompanied by Vlad left the house and headed back to Ponyville for the new trainer’s very first gym battle challenge.
Chapter 3Chapter Three Crime against Fashion “Come on darling you will look so handsome in it.” A woman with deep purple hair and flawless pure white skin. Said in a regal manner as she kept trying to put a bow tie on the little psychic type. Ralts kept stepping away to avoid the article of clothing. She sighed as she stood back up, putting the bowtie in her bag. Another Ralts that belonged to her ran up to the two. This one was pointing towards the path which a girl with a Zubat flying beside her. The purple haired woman interested stood there till the young girl was walking by her. “Well I see your not very social darling.” The woman stated as the blue haired girl turned in her direction surprise she looked at the older woman confused, then she spotted the two Ralts and smiled. “Oh wow there so adorable!” Diamond said as she walked over to them and crouched down. Reaching out to pet one it smiled as it let her, the other one stood there waiting. Which Diamond preceded to pet it. “I see you are not a bad person looks like?” the woman said smiling. The two Ralts looked up at Vlad who flew down and they started to play together. “I'm Rarity darling, and who might you be?.” Rarity said as Diamond stood back up to look at her. “I'm Diamond Mirage nice to meet you Rarity.” Suddenly her eyes widened as she realized who the woman was. Her name had been a prominent subject at home. “My mom told me about you.” She said as she smiled. Rarity was confused by the statement. “Who pray tell is your mother Darling?” She asked unable to place any of the people that she knew with the girl as her parent. “My mother is Fluttershy.” Diamond said as Vlad flew back up, and landed on her left shoulder. Diamond smiled at him as Rarity's mouth dropped in sudden surprise. “When did Fluttershy have a daughter?” She asked having no memories of Fluttershy being close to any men at all. The dear had always been too shy to reveal any feelings. “I'm technically not her biological daughter,” Diamond said as she explained how things led to the situation. “She found me as a baby alone on her Reservation eleven years ago.” She finished as Rarity nodded as the fashion forward trainer understood. “Fluttershy has always been a very caring woman even when we was young. We were, and are friends since a long time ago.” She explained smiling. “So what brings you out this far dear?” Rarity asked as her two Ralts went off to play. Those two usually were serious inside battle so any time outside was spent playing. “I was going to try and find another partner Pokémonto prepare for the gym in Ponyville.” said Diamond Mirage. “Well the Everfree forest is a good place for finding Pokémon. They are crawling everywhere you need to look hard enough.” Rarity smiled as she looked at the creepy forest shivering at the stuff said to live inside of it. “Well it was nice meeting Rarity, if you’ll excuse me I have some Pokémon to catch.” Diamond said as she walked away heading into the forest with Vlad flying beside her. “Darling wait up, your mother would kill me if I let you go in there by yourself!” Rarity said as she ran up to Diamond Mirage. After she recalled her two Ralts into their Pokéballsand began walking alongside her. As the two girls walked into the forest it was clear that they were not alone. There were many bug type Pokémon that clung to trees and and logs. Diamond was watching a Wurmple crawl along a tree branch above her head. “Ok darling let us hurry up cause the bugs types are rather unpleasant to gaze upon..” Rarity said as she sidestepped a Weedle that was crawling towards her. It was rather visible that she did not particularly favor the bug types. “Come on now they are not gross thei absolutely adorable.” Diamond said as a Butterfree landed next to her as she sat on a tree stump to rest for a bit. Diamond Mirage pet the butterfly on its head and it flew off into the forest. She could tell from the black markings on it's wings that the Butterfree had been female. As the two girls sat there talking a Pokémon that was hidden in the underbrush watching them. Diamond had taking her bag off and pulled out her egg case. While she was polishing the Eevee egg, Vlad the Zubat was sitting on the log eating from a bowl full of Poké-food. The Pokémon watching from the bushes moved away losing interest in the two girls. They weren’t even that intimidating.It began stepping on a stick the snapping sound caught Vlad’s attention who alerted Diamond who stood up ready to battle. “Ok Vlad go and bring our visitor to the open.” Vlad with being surprised flew into the forest. He forced the Pokémon into the clearing using the move Supersonic. This would reveal it to be a wild Scyther. “Oh my that is quite a rare Pokémon,” Rarity said in surprise, “They normally live in the deepest part of the Everfree forest.” She finished as the Scyther growled as it swiped at Vlad who nimbly dodged the blade. “Well I think I might have found my new partner. Just need to catch him or her.” Diamond said smiling as Vlad flew back to her ready to battle. “Ok Vlad use Bite now.” Obeying Vlad flew towards the Scyther and with it sharp fangs bit the Scyther on it's left blade.This caused it to reel back in much pain. Glaring the Scyther suddenly vanished then reappeared slamming into Vlad with a quick attack that slammed him into a tree. “Darn it Scyther used Quick Attack. Don't give up Vlad you can do it!” Diamond cried as Vlad flew back up, then it dove back down. It struck the Scyther with it's right wing landing a critical hit. Wing attack was a flying type move so the bug type had no defenses. The Scyther hit the ground with swirls in its eyes showing it had fainted. “Ok Poké-ball go!” Diamond yelled as she threw the ball. It struck the unconscious Scyther and landed on the ground. The ball shook multiple times, leaving her in anticipation. The capture device clicked showing that it was captured. “I did it,” Diamond said as she ran over to the ball and picked it up smiling. “I caught a Scyther!” She cried our holding the ball up. Taking out her Poké-dex it showed all the info on Scyther who was male. It asked if she wanted to nickname the Scyther. Tapping the ‘yes’ key she input the name Rouge smiling. “Well Rouge welcome to the family.” She said as she looked at the ball pretty confident in her chances at winning her future gym battle.
