It is long before recorded history, and the barren wasteland inhabited by the three equine tribes is a cold, inhospitable, and dark place. The unorganized populations of the industrious earth tribe, militaristic pegasi, and reclusive unicorns all fight for food and resources, and starvation besets many of them. With each difficult choice and each battle, the land grows colder, and with every poor peasant that starves, an unseen evil grows full.
