Griffonstone, Part 1

Apple Bloom watched as Scootaloo and Terramar said a very long goodbye. She handed the cart with their luggage to the stallion attendant at the train station. Her friend and the hippogriff held each other in a long hug before finally letting go.

“Scootaloo, feel free to come back whenever you want,” Terramar said as he fluffed up his feathers and chest.

Scootaloo blushed and rubbed his shoulder one last time before stepping toward the train. “If you get any vacation time, you could always come visit Ponyville for a change.”

The whistle signaled that it was time to end the farewell. They all boarded the train and took their seat. They began to wave at Terramar from the window as the train lurched slowly forward.

Sweetie Belle began flipping through the pictures. She paused on the picture of a familiar pink hippogriff.

“Why wasn’t Silverstream here?” she asked.

Scootaloo paused from staring out the window at the platform that was shrinking from view and looked at the picture.

“Oh, I think Terramar said that she is off in Griffonstone, but she’s been there for a while.”

Apple Bloom looked more closely at the picture. Silverstream had grown tall and slender as she hit adulthood. Her feathers and mane were still slightly messy to match her goofy smile. Sweetie Belle flipped it over to read the note on the back.

How are my amazing friendship tutors doing?

I heard you might be coming to visit, and I’m so excited! Oh, but you’ll have to come see me in Griffonstone. I’ve been here with Sandbar trying to help Gallus out with something. All these griffons seem so grumpy! But I’ve been able to make a few of them smile and laugh. There’s also this awesome gorge near Griffonstone. I can’t even see the bottom! Maybe we could try climbing down it. I can’t wait to see you!

Besties forever!
-Silverstream

Silverstream was still her usual bubbly self. Apple Bloom hoped Gallus was okay, and she had an idea of where they might be able to find some more clues about what to expect in Griffonstone. Apple Bloom reached over for the pictures and pulled out a few.

The first picture she pulled out was of Gabby. Gabby had grown pretty big. It was hard to tell whether it was just her fluffy feathers or her actual body, but the griffon was almost as big as Big Mac now. She had her usual smile, which was probably hard to pull off with a beak. Apple Bloom flipped the picture over to see what was on the back.

Has it really been a few years? I remember all the fun in Ponyville with the Cutie Mark Crusaders like it was yesterday. I’ve made my own little group of friends here in Griffonstone. It’s been growing very slowly, but we help out other griffons when they let us. I have so much to share with you when you get here. See you soon! And Gilda showed me

-Gabby

Gabby still seemed as positive and helpful as ever. Apple Bloom was glad she hadn’t changed. She blushed a little as she remembered the griffon’s tight hugs and soft feathers. And what was that last part that was crossed out and scribbled over? Apple Bloom only knew that Gilda had some past with Rainbow Dash. Scootaloo had hinted that the two had been a little more than friends for a time. Apple Bloom blushed as she imagined Gabby and Gilda doing that sort of experimenting.

But there was still some more investigating to do. She pulled out the pictures of Gallus and Sandbar. Gallus’s note mentioned a few of the study sessions that had gone a little late, and Apple Bloom blushed. Twilight had almost walked in on them studying the griffon’s anatomy up close a time or two.

And Sandbar lived in Ponyville, so Sweetie Belle had dated him during one summer break. His note was mostly to her, but it did have a little postscript about going to visit Gallus. Like typical stallions, neither of Gallus or Sandbar mentioned much about what was bothering them, so Apple Bloom decided to just enjoy the eye candy of the pictures.

Gallus was laying on his side in the photo. He was stretched out enough to show off the muscles beneath his fur and feathers. The angle of the photo gave a teasing and shadowy glimpse of his sheath and balls, and Apple Bloom knew that was intentional. In the few years since graduating from the friendship school, Gallus had grown a bit, but he was quite a bit smaller than Gabby. Female griffons tended to be larger than the males, but Gallus was still about as big as any stallion.

Sandbar’s picture was more traditional. His family had probably taken it. It looked like they had tried to comb his messy mane. He wasn’t as bulky as her brother, but Apple Bloom liked what the years had done to him. He was still a very average pony, but he was lean and solid.

Sweetie Belle grabbed the picture and smiled.

Sweetie Belle sighed. “Ah, Sandbar. I wonder if he ever figured out things with Gallus. I think that’s why he ended things with me.”

“Really?” Apple Bloom asked. “I thought Gallus was with Silverstream after they graduated. Maybe the three of them are still figuring things out.”

“That would give them all a good reason to be in Griffonstone for so long together. We’ll see when we get there.”

The train chugged slowly up the last set of hills before the station at the edge of Griffonstone. The actual city was up on the steeper cliffs and hills, so it was a bit of a walk from the station. A small outpost of pony-owned shops and homes surrounded the station, and it looked like the path up into the griffon part of town had been widened and repaved recently.

Apple Bloom hitched up the cart with their things while Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle got directions to Gabby’s place. Once they knew where to go, they headed slowly up the steep road. A few old griffons stood guard at the gate, but the griffons just gave them a quick glance before settling back into their little guard nests.

When they passed the gates, it was hard to miss the big store on the side of the road. They looked up at the impressive yellow lettering on the sign.

Gabby’s Everything Emporium

The store had a nicer roof than the old buildings around it, and the brickwork was solid. The huge windows showed a variety of goods, and some posters in the windows advertised an even wider variety of services. Apple Bloom smiled.

“Looks like Gabby’s still doing everything.”

“Yeah,” Sweetie Belle added. “But now she’s getting paid for it.”

The chime of the bell on the door was the only warning they got before a huge griffon swept them all up in a massive hug. Even though Apple Bloom was still hitched to the cart, she was picked up and could only see gray feathers for a moment.

“Oh my gosh! You’re here!”

Apple Bloom could breath and see again a moment later when her hooves returned to the ground. Gabby was standing in front of them. She looked even taller than Big Mac, but some of her size was due to her thick, fluffy feathers. Apple Bloom blushed a little. She’d always liked big, strong ponies, and the same feelings held true for griffons.

“Heh, looks like the twerps are here.” Gilda stepped out from behind Gabby and looked over at Scootaloo. “Dash said you’d be stopping by. I’ve heard good things about you in particular. Good enough that I’m willing to let you stay at my place. But it won’t be free. I’m sure we’ll think of something for you to do for staying there. Grandpa Gruff wouldn’t have it any other way. Gabby will help you get comfortable.”

Gilda gave Scootaloo a friendly slap on the back and walked back in the store.

Gabby reached out and undid the harness on Apple Bloom. Apple Bloom blushed as she felt the griffon’s talons rub against her.

“Let me get that for you,” Gabby said as she grabbed the cart and started to wheel it behind the shop. “It’s going to be amazing to catch up with you all.”

Apple Bloom glanced at Gabby’s thick thighs and whip-like tail as Gabby walked in front of her. She tried to think of something to say.

“Ahh… yeah! It’s great to be here. It looks like you’ve done well here in Griffinstone. How is your CMC group doing here?”

“It was rough for a long time, but we have some new ponies who have been very helpful. When it was just the griffons, they’d squabble or lose interest, but now that they have some ponies with real cutie marks around, I think they get it. And I started this store with some help from Gilda and Grandpa Gruff. We sell all kinds of things, and we’ve slowly been fixing up Griffonstone with the different projects we get paid to do.”

“Yeah, it’s looking a lot nicer. We’re happy to help in whatever way we can.”

“Actually, I have something you three could do. Gallus also works with us, but he’s been a bit different lately. I think he’s a little confused and could use some good pony advice. Ah, but we’ll talk about that later. Here we are.”

Behind the store was a nice house. It also looked to be newly painted, but some parts of the house itself looked a bit older. Grandpa Gruff sat on a large padded rocking chair on the front porch. He stared at them with his slightly milky eyes.

“Gabby, are you letting ponies stay here?”

“Yes, we talked about this earlier.”

“Fine, but I want you to leave the windows open. Last time that Rainbow one came by and stayed with Gilda, it smelled like ponies for a week. It was very distracting.”

Gabby sighed. “Okay. We’ll air out the house.” She picked up what seemed like half the luggage. “Bring your things inside.”

They walked inside. It was much less colorful than a pony home. Griffons tended to favor lots of fine wood and gold in their decorating instead of all the colors that ponies used. When Apple Bloom looked at it in that way, it was a very fine griffon home. Some gold-plated busts of Griffonstone’s former kings decorated the shelves along with a few pictures.

Gabby led the way past a few closed doors and opened up her bedroom. A huge nest filled one corner of the room. It was covered in blankets and pillows to soften the stick frame underneath. Gabby placed the luggage against the wall then blushed as she noticed a magazine draped over the edge of the nest. Apple Bloom got a brief glance of it. A mare in a sexy pose was on the cover.

“Oh, sorry. Bit of a mess.” Gabby laughed nervously and tucked it between some other magazines on the shelf.

“Was that to get ready for our visit?” Apple Bloom asked even as she blushed.

“I just thought that… since Gilda and Rainbow Dash enjoy it so much, we could… uh…”

Apple Bloom smiled then gave Gabby a quick kiss. The griffon rubbed the spot on her beak as if she couldn’t believe what happened. Apple Bloom leaned close to whisper.

“I’d love to try that.”

“I was worried you wouldn’t. That’s a relief. I was nervous, so I read up on it a bit. Gilda says that ponies aren’t so different unless you’re with a stallion.”

“You’ll be able to get a good look tonight.”

Gabby laughed nervously.

“Yeah, let me go get the rest of your stuff. And after that we can do a little tour.”

They spent the rest of the evening before dinner with a brief tour of Griffonstone. Apple Bloom had heard that there wasn’t much to see besides the old castle, but it looked like the city was finally turning things around. The main roads and plazas on the way to the castle had been renovated recently. There was even a fountain with the statue of an old griffon king. Gabby had paid Chipcutter to make it, but Gabby, Gilda, and Gallus had also helped set it up.

Even the old castle was looking better. Gallus, Sandbar, and Silverstream had all been working on it together, but there hadn’t been much recent progress. Apple Bloom really wanted to ask Gabby what happened with the griffon. Gallus was tough but sensitive. She remembered when he stopped going to class for a week after rumors about him and Sandbar started going around Twilight’s school.

Those rumors had been pretty scandalous, though. The rumor was that they had both been late for class and Rainbow Dash had found Gallus with his knot stuck inside the stallion. Apple Bloom suspected the rumor to be true, but she had never asked Gallus outright.

Gabby’s tail was constantly flicking up just enough to give Apple Bloom little glimpses of the griffon as she walked behind her during the entire tour. What she did see looked soft and inviting. She was starting to blush and get looks from Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle by the time they ended the tour and went back for dinner.

The strong spicy scent of dinner was enough to hide any other scents that may have given the two away as they ate quickly. Gabby sat next to Apple Bloom and kept swishing her tail against Apple Bloom’s flanks.

“Some of you better help with the dishes while you stay here,” Grandpa Gruff said.

Apple Bloom looked over at the other two Cutie Mark Crusaders. “Girls, can you take this for me and Gabby? We need to go do something.”

Scootaloo smiled. “You helped me with Terramar. I’ll do the same with Gabby.”

“And I’ll wait until it’s my turn to call in a favor,” Sweetie Belle said.

The pegasus and unicorn started cleaning off the table. Gabby led the way back to her room. She locked the door behind Apple Bloom.

“I feel excited and nervous. How are you feeling?”

Apple Bloom’s tail flicked up. “I’m surprised Grandpa Gruff couldn’t smell my excitement at dinner with all your teasing.”

“He’s old enough to not notice as much. Now it’s time for dessert. Come here.”

Gabby laid on her side in her nest. She slowly rolled over to her back and spread her legs. She pulled Apple Bloom on top of her. The griffon was still as strong as ever. Apple Bloom felt her lean body press into Gabby’s soft feathers then felt the warmth of the griffon beneath her. Gabby rubbed Apple Bloom’s back and worked lower until she reached Apple Bloom’s hips.

“Ahh… Gabby!”

Apple Bloom felt the sudden wet warmth of Gabby against her. She blushed and thrust forward until she felt soft, wet feathers then slid back again.

“You’re larger and looser than a griffon. I suppose all mares are. Ahh…”

Apple Bloom could feel her sensitive clit rubbing against Gabby.

Gabby’s grip tightened, and she pulled Apple Bloom against her. The wet sound of them thrusting and sliding against each other filled the room. The tight, velvety griffon pussy pressed into Apple Bloom’s softer, looser folds. Apple Bloom leaned forward and kissed Gabby. Gabby didn’t let up. The intense passion only grew as the griffon’s tight grip and quick thrusts gave Apple Bloom no moment to rest. She was moaning and panting while Gabby chirped and cawed. The warm rush of fluids against her was enough to send her over the edge.

Gabby finally relaxed. Apple Bloom was trembling, and Gabby was shaking. Apple Bloom turned to the side to nibble softly on the soft spot on her friend’s wing, just like she had learned to do with Scootaloo.

“Oh feathers! Apple Bloom!”

Gabby’s wings quivered and her tail thrashed. Apple Bloom preened the sensitive spots on Gabby’s wings until the griffon could only moan. She rolled to the side a few moments later and stroked Gabby’s fluffy chest with a hoof.

“How was that for our first time?”

“Amazing.”

“Earth ponies are known for our stamina. I think I could go a few more rounds.”

A knocking on the door silenced them both.

“Dishes are done,” Scootaloo said from the other side.

Apple Bloom nuzzled the sensitive spot on the bottom of Gabby’s beak then whispered into her ear.

“I’ll go unlock it. I’m sure Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle will want to join in.”

Apple Bloom got up and didn’t even both to wipe up the droplets running down her thighs. She twisted the bolt and opened the door slowly.

Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo both stared at Gabby. The griffon had barely had time to curl her tail up over herself.

Apple Bloom leaned forward to block the view.

“Gabby’s ready to go. Let’s show her our Cutie Mark Crusader special treatment.”
