"When the eyes of The Mare in the Moon open, that's when, I, the Nightmare Knight will return and finish what I'd started..."

Those were the words spoken by The Nightmare Knight herself before she vanished. Now, over a thousand years later, The Mare in the Moon eyes are open. Ponies across the land of Equestria now fear that the Nightmare Knight will return and slay Queen Celestia like she promised.

To prevent this, eight ponies were selected by Queen Celestia herself. Six of which were given then Elements of Harmony, to overcome any danger they come across. Their goal: defeat The Nightmare Knight and bring her safely back to Celestia.

Their goal is clear, but not all ponies/creatures will agree with their goal... Some will try to convince them, some will damn them for even trying, and some will do anything in their power to try to stop them from keeping The Nightmare Knight alive.
