A few years after getting her Cutie Mark and returning to the farm, but a couple years before Twilight arrived to Ponyville, Applejack went through a phase. It was a mix of rebellious and adopting another culture. A small family of Zebras moved to Ponyville and a younger Applejack had a crush on the family’s older son. Over a brief period of time, the two became close and the mare started to act...different. What started as disrespect for Granny Smith quickly became her dying her fur and mane and now she plans to sneak off in the middle of the night.
