The Three Obstacles

Crazy of course went for the one that was on the right, it had a purple mane and a white coat, and looked like it cared way more than everyone else about fashion. She ran further to the right while the other two went further to the left. Crap, their plan is to split us up and take us one by one. I may need to be careful of any traps this one might lay down for my demise. While these thoughts continued I his head, the enemies of Crazy and Killua continued to spit up. Crazy eventually lost sight of Killua and the other two opponents. The only one that was remaining was the purple maned one in front of him.

She led Crazy into a corridor that surprisingly had a roof to go under. He followed the purple one inside, he looked around but failed to locate the pony. Shit, I cannot see where she is. Hiding in the shadows? Crazy took a look around but failed to see anything in the shadows. This is bad! This is bad! I can't find her, how will I win? What is the secret behind this power! Crazy was looking around frantically, his arm seared with pain from the battle that he was in previously with the pink one, also when he held on to the portal. He did not know whether he would be able to continue the rest of the maze. Crazy failed to notice the presence of the purple one as she had snuck behind him.

Crazy saw a vase in the middle of the room, the surface of the vase was glossy, and because of this Crazy saw that something was in fact behind him. He jumped forwards as he heard the whistle of a knife missing him by inches, which was not comforting to think about for Crazy. She disappeared once again. A thought appeared in Crazy's head. What can I deduce from this situation? First I cannot see her. What would enable me to not see her? Magic? Definitely due to her horn she must have access to magic. What kind of magic? Invisibility? No, I was able to spot her last second unless this ability is...

Crazy finally found the answer to the enemies abilities. She must be using some sort of magic Camouflage! One that shifts like a chameleon so she cannot be seen... He was happy, however, this happyness was short lived as he realized that if she was anywhere near the strength of the pink one, he wouldn't stand a chance...

No wait. She most likely won't be as strong as the pink one. If she was she would not use knives because she would be strong enough to punch a hole straight through me. She would also have no need for the camouflage if she was fast enough for me to have trouble seeing her.

This was a mere theory on Crazy's part, this theory of his stemmed of of the basis that possibly, due to her being a unicorn that she would be reliant on the magic that she possessed. This helped him make a plan.

Crazy knew that he needed to keep watch around him, now especially since the purple one was likely going to attack from behind him. He got frustrated now that he had to constantly look behind him. Out of frustration, Crazy broke the vase that had allowed him to see the purple one previously. He picked up one of the larger shards and held it like a knife.

You aren't the only one who can play at that game you know! He picked up the pieces of the pot and scattered them across the floor. This had two uses for the strategy Crazy had in mind. The first was that it could allow him to hear the purple one if she accidentally stepped on one of the pieces of the vase. The second and most important reason was to be able to see the camouflage of the purple one. Crazy assumed that the vase allowed him to see her in the last encounter. This theory was wrong as she could not be seen unless she stopped her camouflage she made that mistake last time and would not do it again.

Damn, this one has good reflexes. No matter, that vase won't save you anymore. Last time was a fluke. Even if you see me, I can escape with my ropes! The Purple one told herself as she approached from the front of Crazy. She picked up a shard of the vase from outside of his range of vision.

The shard now camouflaged by her cloak was thrown behind Crazy. He turned around and slashed the piece of the vase with the intention of a stab to whoever was behind him, he did not feel anything connect. What! Nobody was There, impossible! I heard the vase breaking! Crazy was in the middle of turning back around when something made an impact with the weighted vest he was wearing. The knife of the purple one was stopped by one of the weights on Crazy's vest.

Shit! The weights blocked my knife! I need to escape! The Purple one thought as she fled the scene. However, Crazy turned around and was going to throw the shard at her. "It's over!" Crazy shouted as he swung his arm to throw the shard at her. Unfortunately his throw went wild as the shard hit the ground and crumbled to pieces with a shower of dust at her feet.

The Purple one was propelled backwards by an unknown force right after he missed his throw. Crap she got away. But not for long! Crazy saw his plan falling into place. He needed a trap to get the purple one to a place where he could easily access and see. He got the two glasses lenses out of his pocket from his earlier corpse encounter. He placed one to face away from him and the other lense facing him. Aligning it so that his field of vision was also covering his back due to the line of sight the lenses allowed. He would play this to his advantage in this trap. Crazy pretended that he really was just stumbling while he placed the reflective lenses. The last thing Crazy saw out of the second lense that allowed him to see his back was some sort of shining progectile, one of her knives. The other lense was left intact.

This did not matter much because it had nowhere to look. It was angled in a way that Crazy did not have the advantage, but instead a front row view of the brick wall. He ran to the torch on the right wall. He knew that if he set he cloak on fire the fight would be over. What the purple one did not realize was that Crazy had already set his trap. He had been leaving a flammable trail of gunpowder behind him. He was able to accomplish this when he destroyed the vase, it was full of the sutff. He merely picked up a bowl of it and left a subtle trail of the black powder trailing behind him.

The room that the battle took place in was a vast, empty armory. Which due to it's vastness was poorly lit up by the torches. The weapons had long deserted the place but it was full of gunpowder. It was deemed too flammable for use in battle with an ignition temperature of 130 degrees Fahrenheit. Currently undergoing testing in the off limits area of the royal maze. The gunpowder laid untouched for at least a decade due to the lack of funds to study the strange powder any farther. It had laid untouched in over a decade. Until today that is.

Crazy saw that the purple one had entered the vision of his lense he had set up. He knew this because of the pieces of the vase and gunpowder on her cloak. He threw the torch, in turn igniting the gunpowder that had lain dormant on the ground. The gunpowder istantly burst into flames almost instantly. That happened faster than I expected! Shit there is no time to waste! Crazy picked up the torch and got ready to initiate phase two of his trap. He picked up the torch and ran faster than he had ever ran before to the place where the second lense was broken by the knife. His goal was to pick up that knife that had broken the lense earlier to limit his vision to even less than the shadows of the room.

When he reached the knife laying on the ground he dived. He picked up the knife and skidded to a halt. He turned to look at his opponent. She had already ditched the cloak as it would be dead weight to her since Crazy could already see her with it on. She also had her magic carry up 5 knives from her saddle. Oh fuck! She has 5 more that I have to worry about! Fucking run! Crazy upon seeing that she had quite a bit more knives than himself, threw his torch at her cloak. The fire it created was more of a distraction than anything. This plan however failed as she remained laser focused on him.

For them both this was a western showdown by all means. The purple one threw a knife at him. Crazy dodged in the direction of the burning cloak. He made it in the right amount of time as he saw another knife fly by his forehead and skitter across the floor. He didn't realize it because of the adrenaline, but the knife had grazed his cheek. He picked up the cloak via a part of it that was not caught on fire. He grabbed on desperately, he accidentally picked up the cloak in his left hand which due to this screamed in pain. He winced but could not do to much more than that as he still had the adrenaline coarsing through his viens. He knew that he could not fight much longer. Nevertheless he continued the final step of his plan.

He threw the burning cloak in the air. He then initiated the last part. He threw the knife with all the force he had in his right arm towards the burning cloak in the air. It hit the cloak and it went straight towards it's owner, the purple one. She gasped for air as the knife penetrated her flesh. A crimson liquid seeped out of the injury the had been received. The purple one looked down at the injury, it had not hit anything lethal. Just below the neck. Her blood was seeped into the burning cloak and evaporated, as a result the air around the two of them had a putrid scent. She gasped for air and stopped in her tracks as she was stunned by the knife injury she had sustained.

The purple one sent an angry glare in the direction of Crazy, she was about to go and stomp his face in when she too had caught on fire due to her cloak. The purple one as fast as she could dropped to the ground to get it put out. Crazy was gasping for air himself as the battlefield was being consumed by the flames of the fire that was made by the gunpowder. The building did not light up do to it being entirely made out of stone. Crazy caught something shining in the corner of his eye. It was the knife from before that had grazed him. He was able too make out a purple substance leaking from the blade. Crazy knew what this substance was to him. Poison. That's why I am having trouble moving. Crap I don't have much time before the purple one is not doused in flames anymore. I need to finish the job.

Crazy dragged himself to the blade and threw it at the purple one. It stabbed her in the neck killing her instantly. This was an accident on his part, he wanted to paralyze her so she would burn to death. He crawled his way to the door of the stone building, losing movement by the second due to the paralyzing poison that would render him immobile in due time. He had mad it outside of the building but the poison took to effect and he was in his final few moments of being conscious, he looked down at his hands. There was around an inch of nen surrounding his entire body. It had seemed that he had subconsciously activated it during the battle.

He saw the shadow of something coming from the pathway to the right of him. Well, shit. I made it this far just to see the end. This is the end... As Crazy finished his final thoughts, he succumbed to the depths of unconsciousness.

Point of view: Jotaro Kujo...

Jotaro heard gasping breaths from around the next left of the maze. These breaths were different from the breath of the ponies, this was the breathing of something injured. Jotaro ran around the corner in spite of the risk that it held. He saw the unconscious body of Crazy and the building behind him was up in flames.

"Yare Yare Daze. (good grief in English) You are lucky that you found me." Jotaro said. Jotaro looked down at Crazy's unconscious body, Jotaro noticed a small cut on Crazy's cheek but nothing except for that. Jotaro checked his pulse. Still beating? Jotaro thought. Good, I would like to encounter something other than corpses once in a while. Jotaro's hand was covered in blood from his last battle with the Pegasus. Jotaro picked Crazy up and took him to the center of the maze, the real one this time. They made it with no more encounter of the enemy forces surprisingly. They did however hear the constant attacks of something in the distance...

Point of view: Killua Zoldyck

This is bad, a two on one. Killua thought as the pony with a hat missed her kick all during the dark blue with a pink stripe unicorn casting a spell which he dodged.

Killua did not like this situation at all. It was two against one. He would need to actually try to win, if he wanted to win this time. He was currently on the defensive against these two opponents. He could not use half of his Godspeed against the two opponents due to them not possessing nen that he knew of. However he could still use speed of lightning, and narukami. (In English this means thunderbolt) He did not want to risk it though, he did not know if he would be able to charge up anytime soon so he should save it.

Another spell was sent his direction. At first it seemed there was nothing different about the spell, that was until it completely obliterated the maze wall next to him. Crap! I need to not go near those. I need to get rid of this pony. Killua strategized to himself. He charged the unicorn that was casting spells his way, this caught the unicorn off guard as he ran straight to her. She had no time to cast another spell as Killua was there in less than a second.

"Die fool." Killua said as his nails extended and tore her face to ribbons. He grinned as he had taken out a major enemy in the fight. Her body instead of leaking blood faded into darkness. A fake! Killua thought as he ran away from the clone he destroyed. He went to target the pony with the hat, the battle ended in an instant. He tore her head to ribbons but this one was not a clone. Blood splattered all over the ground.

He encountered no further resistance from the enemy. The unicorn ran away from him. He was not able to find her afterwards. He expected at least a little resistance. Killua made it to the center of the maze encountering no more resistance.

At the center he was the last to arrive, Hisoka his best friend's rival had arrived just before him. He was currently not a threat due to the common goal they shared at the moment, to escape. Hisoka was currently staring at the two that had arrived before him. Those two were the unconscious body of Crazy which was propped up against the wall in the corner. The other one was a very muscular teen in a Japanese school uniform. He had blood leading all the way up his arm. Killua knew that there was more people alive in the maze due to them still being there.

That was when they were teleported out of the maze for the final stage of the test...

To be continued...
