Chapters Fluttershy's Lament and Beginning
A not so perfect convention
Preston Thatch was a long time fan of the television show My Little Pony Friendship is Magic. He wasn't like most fans; he was very laid back about showing his love for the community. Sure, at first he was self conscious about what other people thought. Now though, he didn't care what other people thought. He wasn't like others. He didn't buy or ask for merchandise. Most official MLP merch sucked anyway, he thought.
It was the day he went to a convention one year. It was his first ever convention and he was so pumped for it. While there he went to dress up as his favorite character, the Equestria Girls version of Fluttershy. He had on a pink wig, a white shirt and a green skirt and high heels.but something was missing from his outfit. He couldn’t quite grasp what it was.
That was until a merchant showed him a butterfly hairpin. He felt stupid not remembering the hairpin. There was nothing special about it. It resembled one of the butterflies of the Cutie Mark of a certain butter yellow Pegasus. He could feel a meek calling coming from it, and it drew him in like a siren’s song. Preston decided to buy the hairpin. He placed it in his wig giving the strange yet cool man a smile as he left for the festivities of the convention.
“This is so exciting, why haven’t I come to one of these sooner?” wondered Preston. He of course knew the reason. Having parents that don’t approve of the pony thing 100% of the time means he couldn’t travel to one. He doesn’t drive so of course there would be complications. Eventually he had been able to persuade his mom into taking him, and he’s sure glad he did.
Preston saw many people there at the convention. Some dressed up for the occasion and a few were simply in their casual wear. He even saw this one person with the wackiest looking hat he’s ever seen. Probably created it themselves he thought.
Preston checked out what others were doing there. There were plenty of booths with things to sell. He wasn’t thinking too much about buying anything else. He was there to have fun. Preston hadn’t noticed it immediately, but while he was checking out an artist’s area the wig had rooted itself into his head and his eyes seemed to turn turquoise.
Preston comments on the artists skill “You’re really good you know, It looks like you adhere to the show’s style while still maintaining your own style.”
The artist in the booth chuckles “Hey thanks Fluttershy it means a lot to me that you of all people think it’s good” He said. It seemed as though he was joking so of course Preston laughed too.
“Oh stop it you.” he said smirking “I think we all know that I’m not the real Fluttershy, no matter how much we would want it that way.”
The artist motioned to Preston “Well you certainly look the part man. Your eyes are even turquoise like they are in the show! What’s your secret? Color contacts?”
Preston looks at the artist in confusion. “Wait wait. What? I’m not wearing any contacts they shouldn’t be that color.”
“You’re joking right? You’re wearing contacts man there’s no way that that’s natural” he says before bringing out a hand mirror.
Preston holds onto the mirror for a few moments processing what he was seeing. “What the! How did my eyes turn that way!”
“Now that I think of it, there was this one Rarity girl that passed by, her costume was so good I didn’t think about the fact it was a fellow man. Or a woman. Hard to tell with costumes getting better and better” the artist says.
“Really? Which way did she go anyways? I might check it out.” he asks giving him the mirror back. The man took the hand mirror and put it back.
“Last I checked that way” he says pointing to the group hall.
“Thank you so much sir and good luck with the whole art thing!” says Preston waving to him goodbye as he hurried off towards the group hall. He passed by some people that saw him, They probably thought that the cosplay was really well done. Before Preston knows it he had bumped into said Rarity cosplayer.
“Oof!” Preston fell down to the ground after bumping into the person he was looking for. While on the ground, he had noticed that two hills were growing from his chest. This time he had noticed and it certainly wasn’t normal “Hey watch where you’re- woah…” Preston could feel his new breasts getting compressed with his weight. It was an odd new feeling to have. Preston's voice had also gotten softer and less deep than it was previously.
“Oh, sorry about that dear” the Rarity cosplayer says in a perfect copy of the voice. She then holds out her hand to help Preston up.
Preston gasped “How are you doing that with your voice? How am i doing that with my voice!?”
“Well in my case years of training dear, you seem to be another story” she says spying the hairpin.
“Just what do you know that I don’t?” Preston asked in his new voice
“Dear, I heard you getting out of your mom’s car and you didn’t have the voice then.” she adds.
“So you’ve been spying on me?” asked Preston getting suspicious. He raised an eyebrow waiting to see what this person had to say about seeing him get out of the car.
“Dear I am a gossip and I work for the con as a greeter.” she says. Preston spies her name badge and starts to understand.
“Oh alright that makes much more sense I feel a little better” Preston saw some people around them and got a little nervous. Some of them walking by while others pointed out to their friends how hard that they must have worked to create their costumes.
“Now that I look at you dear, you must have used a lot of body paint for your skin dear. It’s just as yellow as in the show.” Rarity adds.
“Yeah I guess, It took a whole tube and then some hehe, uh could we go somewhere a little less crowded?” asked Preston
“Right just a moment” Rarity says. “Boss seems one of the con guests need some time, I am escorting her to one of the changing rooms” Rarity says into her walkey talke. Preston waits to be escorted. “Sorry about that, follow me” Rarity says heading to the changing rooms while Preston follows closely behind. When they get into a room Preston decides to sit down contemplating all the weird stuff that has been happening.
Rarity pulls her name badge off and takes out her phone to signal she’s off shift.
“Thank you for taking me away from all those people. Just what exactly is going on here?” Preston asked sitting down.
“Wish I can tell you, even the boss and the others don’t know what’s going on. One min everyone is fine the next some people start to go missing. Not to say that’s what is happening here” she says her voice not faltering in the slightest.
“Well that’s just great, whatever’s happening is definitely not good. I can’t go home looking like this!” he said
“Young man, well woman I guess. You may like to think about what home you talk of” Rarity says as if she knows about what happens to ones that go missing. Preston was getting nervous, getting scared of what Rarity would say next.
“You see, the one you are transforming into has a home and you yourself have one” Rarity says.
“What, what are you getting at miss?” he finds himself saying “Are you implying that I shouldn’t go back home?” he asked defensively
“Well if you do, how will your mom or dad take it?” she asks.
“Pretty badly I Guess, but I really think things could work out somehow.” said Preston
“Dear, you come to the con a boy and head home a girl, don’t you think your mom may ask why that is and hunt for a way to change you back?” Rarity adds.
“Yeah she might? What’s so bad about that?” he asked
“You don’t get it, she will expect her son not some girl claiming to be him” she says before heading back to work.
Preston’s heart starts to ache. What if she’s right? Maybe I can't go see my mom again. She’ll think I’m lying or a freak. Suddenly Preston started to feel weird. Well weirder than he already felt, having lumps on his chest.
Preston starts to hear a shy voice calling for him . “Preston-” Preston jumped at the sudden voice What was that! He wondered unable to think straight. Preston looked around him but no one was in sight. The only thing there was, was himself and the mirror. “Preston-” the voice echoed again. Preston’s mind must be playing tricks on him due to the stress of the sudden change. That was the only explanation right? All this time the hairpin has a slight pink glow to it.
“Seems you are having a small identity crisis?” asks another voice. “You look and sound like a friend of mine and yet you're not!” the voice adds.
“That’s impossible, I have no friends and I don’t really plan on having many in the future.” explains Preston. “Now where are you hiding? Under the floor?” just then, a dragon looking thing seems to project onto the mirrors. It had antlers and horns. Preston however wasn't looking immediately in that direction.
“I may not be hiding you just may not of been able to see me” it replies.
“Discord, stop messing with him, I am not liking your attitude!” a more female voice says.
“Discord? Oh haha very funny this is just some elaborate prank by some con-goers” says Preston chuckling.
“Who says it’s a prank?” discord says before pinching his arm, the skin moving with it and not moving like one would expect a painted portion of skin to move.

“Ow! Hey that hurt man!” said Preston smacking where the hand or claw would be.
“My point still stands” he says before using a mirror to head out. And that was the last Preston saw of the Draconequus.

Fluttershy's Lament and Beginning
Preston rubs his eyes, almost not believing what he had just witnessed “Okay that was weird and so realistic at the same time.maybe that was real after all... oh what are you saying Preston of course you’re going mad!” Looking in the mirror Preston felt his skin, it didn’t feel like there was any paint there anymore. It had felt like real skin.
”This is the real you now, try not to freak out” says the soft voice. Preston places a hand on his chest and tries breathing deeply. After calming down he approached the mirror suspiciously. The being had disappeared into it magically, but did it do it itself?
The mirror seems to shimmer before showing a room of some kind. Preston looks into it shocked to see a whole different room it was empty save for some band equipment. Preston was quite shocked to say the least. Mirrors didn’t work like that! Curiously he approached the mirror to tap it. The mirror seems to shimmer for a bit almost as if it’s water. Preston nervously put his hand through the mirror the mirror normally stops his hand at some point but he finds his hand passes into the mirror as if it’s nothing.”Woah, freaky”
There was a pink skinned girl with poofy dark pink hair checking the drums who looks up and at him and waves. Preston nervously waves back.
“Hiya Fluttershy!” The ever exuberant girl says from behind Preston. Preston turned around noticing the girl behind him
“What the! How’d you get behind me!?”
“I walked.” replied the peppy pink girl.
“But you were- and im not exactly-” he started. “You were just in there!” he exclaimed pointing at her then back in the bandroom.
“Oh Then you probably blinked silly!” replied the girl winking. Preston couldn’t tell if she was being serious or not. There was no way that they had moved so fast that a blink made him miss it. In fact, he was sure that he didn’t blink at all!
Rarity comes back in, “Ah Pinkie. How have you been?” she says. Preston jumps at the sudden arrival of the con greeter.
“Woah!” Preston backs into the wall containing the mirror almost falling into it.
“I’ve been doing great Rarity! Fluttershy, though not so much” said the peppy pink girl concerned pointing over to Preston.
“I think we may like to grab her unless you like her to fall inside that thing” Rarity says before grabbing Preston. Pinkie follows Rarity’s lead and grabs Preston’s other arm holding him steady.
“Right! that makes sense!” she says as she held him. Preston though had a few questions of his own.
“Uh her? You do know I’m a guy right?” asked Preston
“Sorry dear” Rarity says, “but you do look like a girl now.” she adds. Preston pulls his arms away from them signaling for them to let go.
“Okay I get it I look like a girl now” he says sounding defeated. Rarity and pinkie back off letting him stand on his own.
“But you are a girl Fluttershy, see? You got the lumps to prove it!”
“Pinkie I think we need to look at it mentally not physically.” Rarity says.
“But why would she say- ohhhh riiight-” Pinkie says getting it. She gives Rarity a not so subtle wink. “I get it now”
“Okay can someone please explain what’s going on?” asked Preston “If you don’t mind me asking?”
“Well aside from myself some people have been missing and I guess you’re the next one to transit out of this world for another” Rarity says, “Am I missing anything pinkie?” she adds.
“Weeell… You did leave out the spontaneous turning into characters as they cosplay as them given items by a creepy old guy, kinda looks like a hobo, looks sort of like my uncle-” Pinkie says thinking of what else could be missing.
“Thanks for that dear” Rarity says facepalming herself.
“You’re welcome!” said Pinkie with a huge grin in her face
“Okay I think I’m starting to understand.So I’m turning into the character I love dearly and now I’ll have to leave my homeworld?” asked Preston feeling unsure about the situation
“Well most of them are forced to leave this is the first time I hear of someone having time to pick” Rarity says.
“Well maybe I’m special then, I could find a cure and get back to my regular life”
“There’s one teensy weensy problem with that plan of yours, Fluttershy!” starts Pinkie. Rarity pinches Preston on the arm
“She’s right dear, your skins converted and it’s only a matter of time till you start feeling more and more like Fluttershy. From what the News reports said.” continued Rarity. (Not to news reports alluded to in The Belle Rings True?, note: by this point Rarity knows what’s going on but is trying to not show the full story, if it connects then coincidence.)
“Yeah… And we don’t really know if there is a cure so you’re stuck like this.” explains Pinkie. Preston’s hope for being normal shattered.
“What? But I don’t want to be a girl! I… I guess that I should say my final goodbyes to this world if what you say is true.” Just then Preston feels something inside him twist. He, or rather she groans in pain.
“Oh my, I don’t know what’s going on. Do you pinkie?” Rarity says. Pinkie scratches her head while trying to figure it out.
“Hm, either she’s transfering, or she could be experiencing internal change! OR she could be having a tummy ache!” Pinkie said. Then she gasped “What if it’s all of the above!?”
“Dear, think it’s something internal.” Rarity says to Pinkie. Preston groans in pain his insides changing ever so slightly to fit his new body. He also felt something tugging at him, as if it didn’t want him there.
“Ouchies… I feel really weird all of a sudden-” Preston no longer had his male parts, and his innards have changed to match his outards.
“Oh no Fluttershy’s in pain! What do we do about this Rarity?” asked Pinkie.
“I think it’s more internal. The last physical change happend to make this dude a dame.” Rarity says.
“Oh I see, so she didn’t have any ovaries and junk huh? That’s weird!” Pinkie says to Rarity. She walks on over to the Fluttershy smiling “You’ll get used to it Flutters. It’ll make sense to you eventually.” She says with a wink “Anyway hope to see you at school!” Pinkie hopped on over to the mirror, hopping into it, then leaving Rarity and Preston behind as she goes into the bandroom then out of sight.
Meanwhile Preston didn’t look too hot, He or rather she was crouched down holding her stomach area. She seemed to fade in and out of the plane of existence and some of her ‘dust’ was being pulled into the mirror.
“I don’t want to leave so soon-” said Preston shuddering as he slowly dematerializes into the portal.
Back at the band room
“Pinkie darling you're holding up practice, plus now that I think about it... where’s fluttershy” Rarity says her keytar in hand.
“It’s not my fault that the drum cleaning service sent it to the wrong address! That’s bad business practice!” Says Pinkie bringing in each of the individual parts.
“Darling, that’s why I clean it myself.” she says.
“Although you’ve got to admit. These babies are shinier than ever! So shiny.”
Just then A portal opens up and some yellow dust seems to start pouring out.
“Is it just me or is magic flaring up again?” Rarity says.Eventually the dust settled into the form of their butter yellow friend. Fluttershy. She was lying on the ground seeming drained. Barely registering what’s happening.
Oh my, this is not good Rarity thinks to herself.

Fluttershy was on the ground looking fairly drained.
“Hey there she is! Uh, is she alright?” asks PinkieRarity looks like she’s hopeful but at the same time signals Pinkies that it’s an oddity. Pinkie nods and crouches down right next to her fallen friend then knocks on her head “Hello? Anyone home? Miss Fluttershy? Wakey wakey!” said Pinkie ready to greet her friend to a smile after waking up.
Rarity walks over and pulls pinkie back “Dear, your going to scare her” she adds. Fluttershy groans as she starts to wake up she pushes her hair out of the way then looks up. What she sees surprises her, but not to the point of it causing her to scream. Pinkie pie bounces with a big grin on her face while Rarity just calmly comes down to meet the arrival
“Don’t worry about pinkie here, she’s a bit excitable.” she says. Fluttershy meets face to face with Rarity, the one character that she’d found herself liking the least out of the main cast. Even if she didn’t like her antics doesn’t mean she would be so bad to talk to. She was speechless for a moment unsure of what to say or how to react. She opened her mouth to speak.
“Hey there Rarity. Um, certainly a surprise seeing you. And uh, being here.” Fluttershy checks her surroundings noticing they were in the bandroom of CHS.
“Darling we have been friends for how long, you seem to be forgetting” Rarity says with a wink. Fluttershy tries to stand but she is weakened by the trip.
“Yeah silly you don’t remember your best friends?” asks Pinkie.
“We haven’t met before miss Rarity you must be misunderstand- ah!” she is too weak to get up on her own.
She catches her “Darling that portal must have messed with your memories.” she adds. Fluttershy shakes her head clearing her thoughts.
“No Rarity I’m quite alright. I remember plenty-” she rubs her temple. She groans, the dematerialization messing with her head.
“How about you come and sit over here till your ready” Rarity says the others nodding in understanding. Fluttershy goes along with Rarity so she could sit down.
“Thanks Rarity, This is all so scary it’s nice having a friend in tough times.” said Fluttershy sitting down.
Everyone packs up the band equipment and sits around thinking about where to go from here. Pinkie tap a tap taps on one of the drums of her set as she waits for someone to say something.
“So Fluttershy what’s the last thing you remember.” Rarity asks.
“Just like, being sucked into a mirror that was apparently a portal to another world”
“Well I had a feeling when Apple Bloom changed then other may follow” Rarity says.
“What happened to Apple Bloom?” asks Fluttershy
“From what you told us, the same thing. One min she’s fine the next thing there’s two of them” she adds
“Well geez, I don’t want to see another me running around. I like space time to be stable thank you.” said Fluttershy. Fluttershy then looks down at her breasts feeling very concerned. “This is going to be an issue.” she stated.
“I take it your last life was a man?” Rarity asks
“I- Yeah I didn’t have these lumps before-” Fluttershy said feeling them.
“Darling, I hear you.” says Rarity.
“What do you mean Rarity?” asks Fluttershy
“Apple Bloom said the same thing, and just between you and be I am the same” Rarity says the last one whispered in fluttershy’s ear.
“Okay uh, That’s really weird Rarity. So you’re like me?” asks Fluttershy whispering back.
“Yes dear, it’s best you try and use some of your information to play along, the others aren’t in the same case” she says.
“I see... so they’re normal and we’re not. Interesting” replies Fluttershy nodding in understanding
“Well we are a bit off but I think we are slowly going to find out that is not the case, I am starting to forget what my life was like before I came here” she says, still whispering.
“I’ll never forget what my life was like before I came here, sure there isn’t much for me back there but it is something I hold dearly in my heart” says Fluttershy
“Let’s just say I have been acting more and more like who I look like as time goes on” she adds.
“I’m pretty much myself already Rares. I’ve been really closed off for some time now” says Fluttershy
“Good point dear” Rarity says before walking by and placing her keytar in it’s case.
“You play? That’s cool wish I could play an instrument” says Fluttershy
“Darling, you seem to forget some stuff” Rarity says passing fluttershy a tambourine
(had to check the spelling we are good now)
“A tambourine? Um i’m not really sure if I would call that an instrument worth playing um-” Fluttershy looks at the tambourine confused “Why would I play something like that?”
“Bests me dear, but I remember you need them at the shelter for the guinea pigs?” Rarity says. “It’s that or hamsters” she adds.
“I don’t know about that, but I did teach myself to play some single note songs on pianos” says Fluttershy smiling “I don’t think I can actually play songs on a tambourine”
“Fluttershy darling, we best talk about this later it’s getting late and it took me time just to remember how to make some of my dresses for events.” Rarity says but the way she says remember seems to hint she picked her word carefully.
“If you say so… but I’m scared and I don’t know where I’m supposed to stay” explains Fluttershy.
“Fluttershy Darling, how about you have a sleepover at my house till you’re more situated?” Rarity says. Fluttershy smiles thinking about having a sleepover.
“That sounds wonderful Rarity I would love to!” she replies with newfound excitement.
“Well I am going to have to make you some pajamas then.” Rarity says looking at Fluttershy for her measurements. Fluttershy watches Rarity as she is getting measured feeling as if it were unnecessary and a bit odd considering that Rarity was measuring her whole body. Not to mention she had just gotten this new body not long ago.
“Um… Couldn’t I wear some of your pajamas? Sure they might not fit perfectly but pajamas are supposed to be comforting not sporty.” says Fluttershy feeling awkward while standing there getting measured.
“Darling, please it’s the least I can do. I have been out of it for months” Rarity says.
“Okay um, do you have to take so much time measuring everything?” asked Fluttershy feeling embarrassed. The staring was starting to get to her and she blushes.
“Fluttershy dear, A fashionista needs to keep her memory sharp. Who knows what that portal did to you outside the memory issue” Rarity says.
“Rares I already told you my memory is fine” said Fluttershy crossing her arms at her chest looking to the side feeling uncomfortable she denies it.
“Apologies, Darling. But if you can’t remember where you live it’s hard to say you don’t have an issue” Rarity says before heading to her on-school workshop.
“Well okay I don’t remember where I as myself live, but that’s about it Rares.” she replies calmly as she follows behind.
Rarity is found running around and grabbing some pink cloth, and you can see a pajama blueprint with fluttershy’s body drawn on it Fluttershy blushes seeing how detailed the drawing is.how carefully every detail was precariously drawn and edited with the pajamas on.
“Wow Rarity you’re really serious about this” she said in disbelief.
“Come come my dear, this is my element” she says. Fluttershy comes not really saying much of anything as she approached her new friend. She observes her in her work environment .Rarity moves to start sewing the pajamas she even had some one-size fits bungee rope to make it so fluttershy can adjust the pants around her waist.
“So uh, you’re really going to make these the best you can huh? I feel like I should get you something in return.” said Fluttershy thinking. She placed her hand under her chin.
“Darling, please. This is nothing” Rarity says
“And your art skills are remarkable as well,You drew Fluttershy… I mean me- so well.” pointed out Fluttershy observing the concept art..
“Darling, that’s nothing. Learning to get your measurements now that’s a bigger thing. Most people can’t do that kind of math in their heads” Rarity says before placing a pink pajama set with yellow dots on a mannequin.
“Done already Rarity? This is what you imagined I would like?” asked Fluttershy
“Darling a pair of pajamas are a snap but you ask for a ball gown or something more complex and it takes time. Plus dear think about it your skin is yellow and your hair is pink, it’s simple color matching.” she says.
“Oh well um, they’re lovely Rarity but well, I don’t really like the color pink all that much. Maybe blue or green would look better?” admitted Fluttershy.
“I see, good thing I plan for it” Rarity says pulling out her phone and showing how the pajamas are smarter than you think. Fluttershy was confused when she pulled out her phone.
“Fluttershy darling are you still with me” Rarity says before changing the pajamas to blue.
“Yeah i’m with you Rarity- woah cool fabric!” She says”
“Thank you darling, it’s my own fabric” Rarity says.“I guess before coming here I was a technology major or something. With the right settings and this fabric app it can change its colors at will” Rarity adds.
“That’s amazing Rarity, I know I would by something like that. A jacket I suppose, But wouldn’t that put you out of business if you did? People wouldn’t need anymore designing if they could change their colors on command.” said Fluttershy
“Darling, it can change color but not size, they still need me and other designers to make the starting outfit, like your new pajamas are just that pajamas” Rarity says, “plus it’s still in the beta stage. I am working on some bugs. So if you pajamas turn back to pink the settings must of bugged out” she adds.
“I think i’ve got it Rarity. What time is it anyway? When do we leave for home?”
“It’s like 3:50 in the afternoon, schools done for the day darling” Rarity says tossing a micro-USB to fluttershy, “that’s the program for your pajamas, there’s a code on the tag inside your pajamas to connect them to your phone” she adds.
“Thanks Rarity… I feel like I should pay you but I don’t have any money on me I don’t think I do anyway.” she takes the micro USB putting it in her skirt pocket. “Should we be going?” suddenly PInkie Pie pops her head in through the doorway. Which caused Fluttershy in turn to jump.
“Hey guys! Am I interrupting something? I kinda need help, some bozo got a toilet plunger stuck to the ceiling in the cafeteria.” says Pinkie. Fluttershy looked over, confused by this sudden intrusion and logic.
“What! Again?” Rarity says, knowing how hard it was to remove last time.
“How the heck does a plunger get stuck to the ceiling anyway?” wonders Fluttershy
“Who knows, sometimes it’s boys playing games. It was better when the idea was to get a pen or pencil stuck but a plunger?” Rarity says.
“That’s just dumb, I’m coming Pinks!” says Fluttershy obliging, starting to follow her into the cafeteria.
“Fluttershy darling, hold up” Rarity says, grabbing the pajamas and a box and working on packing up her work. Fluttershy halts hearing Rarity call her name.
“What is it Rarity? And uh you can call me Preston when we’re alone.”
“I will keep that in mind dear” Rarity says. Fluttershy follows pinkie to the cafeteria again. Pinkie points out the plunger and Fluttershy groans in frustration.
“So this is the infamous plunger in the ceiling gag. I don’t see the appeal…” Fluttershy grabs onto the plunger pulling it. It didn’t want to get unstuck.
“You may say the same for a pen or pencil” Rarity says looking for who may have done it.
“A little help here!” Fluttershy pulls on the plunger more. Rarity rushes over and grabs fluttershy and is ready to pull her. Fluttershy looked down at Rarity awkwardly as she was being held, they both pulled the plunger pops out but seems whoever did it hit a water pipe and it started to flood the room. Fluttershy screams in surprise “What the! Rarity! Pinkie! Are you okay!?” Fluttershy asked with the plunger in her hand.
“Fine darling, just trying to stay above the water” Rarity says, it sounds like she’s still somewhat in the water.
“I’m good! Just all washed up.” replies pinkie who was blasted across the room. Fluttershy swims towards one of the double doors attempting to open them to drain the water out.
“Open! Open!” she shouts pulling on the doors but they held.
“Fluttershy dear, try to use the water to your advantage, seems the water is holding the door closed” Rarity adds before she kicks the glass of the door with her heel and it breaks into pieces. Water starts flooding out the broken window the water level lowering to that level.
“Good thinking Rarity!” she cheers looking for a way to plug the leak.
“Thank you darling, that’s not the first time I had to do that” she says.
“Wow you’re really brave Rarity-” she said focusing on patching the leak. She does so with some waterproof patches she finds.
“Wow Goooo Rarity!” cheers Pinkie even though she was soaking wet.
“Pinkie darling, please. It’s nothing” Rarity says her heels still in place, it was almost like the heels are made of diamonds.
“Okey doki loki! Now how do we get out of this room?” asked Pinkie
“Darn it” Rarity says, remembering that fact.
“At least we aren’t drowning-” adds Fluttershy. It was true, the water was up to their waists but they weren’t in any immediate danger.
“Here’s the thing, we sent most of the water to the grass outside and the door to the hall is still clear… for the most part” Rarity says, her heels seem to bend the light. Fluttershy squints as the light reflects into her eyes.
“Are you saying we should flood the hallways? I hope nobody gets hurt.” says Fluttershy. As she said that Pinkie kicks the window to the other door.
“Ouch okay that didn’t work out as planned” says Pinkie as her attempt failed.
“No dear, the rest of this water is not that hard” Rarity says before pulling out a ready to rock pump and hose tossing the hose to Fluttershy. Fluttershy slipped the hose end out into the broken paned window that was in the door while Rarity turned it on.
The water was sucked up by the pump and sent out to the grass. Once Fluttershy smiles and took the hose end pointing it at her friend Rarity. She had her mouth open and spat out some of the water.
“Pft pff! Fluttershy darling. Please, this is silk” Rarity says her outfit socked.Fluttershy giggled a little bit then apologized
“Oh sorry Rares Didn’t know it was.” she said putting the hose back through the opening. Before long the room was void of any water but the tables and everything was still a mess.
“Well this is going to take some time” Rarity says cracking her fingers and getting to work cleaning up the place. Fluttershy gets a mop and cleans up some of the lingering water. She hums a familiar tune from a popular fighting video game.
“Well this will be an issue” Rarity says as she gets 6 tables together all of them broken in half. After mopping, Fluttershy sighs shivering. She was freezing from the cold water.
“Just my luck.” she says. All of her clothes were soaked and she didn’t have any replacements. Pinkie Pie meanwhile was brushing it off like it was nothing.
Rarity helps fluttershy to the bathroom and hands her the pajamas.
“Not all of your clothes are wet, you can change into the pajamas till I can work on your school clothes” Rarity says her mind working on how she can repair the clothes or at least get them dry.
“Thanks Rarity um… do you have any undergarments I can borrow?” she asked blushing and shivering..
“Sorry darling, I seem to have forgotten that part. I think I can get some new ones going” Rarity says before rushing back to her workshop. Pinkie Pie waves to Fluttershy
“Oh hey I’ve got some!” shouts Pinkie speeding off to her locker to get Fluttershy some extra underwear and a bra “Here you go Flutters!” Fluttershy grabbed them slowly.
“Okay then? Pinkie why do you keep underwear in your locker?” asks Fluttershy tilting her head to the side.
“You know in case of a flood emergency! Or you know.. if another kind of emergency happens down there. if you know what I mean.” Fluttershy blushed knowing very well what she meant and she didn’t want to ask.
“Pinkie, darling. Do you have a plan for everything?” Rarity says as she returns, “why do I even ask sometimes” she adds.
“I have a plan for a lot of things! Wet tests, torn panties, broken pencils-”
Fluttershy leaves them into the bathroom to change out of her wet clothes and into the pajamas and underwear. She tried her best not to think too much about being completely naked and looking down. She slipped the panties on, put on a new bra and slipped into the pajamas Rarity made.
“Only you have that level of planning pinkie” Rarity says her key ring in hand. Rarity walks back to her workshop locks it up and gets ready to head home. Pinkie bids Rarity and Fluttershy goodbye. Rarity was holding by her white PT cruiser. Fluttershy follows closely behind Rarity as she walks to her car.
“You all set to go Rarity? Did you forget anything?”
“Darling, plase the sooner we get home the sooner I can be out of my boots.” she says, her boots having a 3 inch heel. Fluttershy nods getting into the passenger seat.
“Now, let’s get going” Rarity says, getting in the driver's seat herself. She starts up the car and starts driving to her home/place of business. Fluttershy sat next to Rarity uncomfortably thinking about her own life. Contemplating. She wasn’t used to being a girl at all. She had some red on her cheeks as she looked over.
“So how long have you been here Rarity?” asks Fluttershy.
“Hard to say darling, it’s been at least 3 maybe 4 months time.” Rarity says.
“I see so you’re used to everything now aren’t you?” Fluttershy asks
“Well I have been found entering the boys restroom sometimes” Rarity says blushing. She turns into her housing development and pulls in the back way of her home the Carousel Boutique. Fluttershy raised her eyebrow in confusion.
“The boy’s restroom? But why do you go in there? You can’t even use the urinals what’s the point?” asks Fluttershy concerned.
“Well I have like 26 years of memory to deal with, plus before all this happened I was a man” Rarity says turning off the car before getting out. Fluttershy gets out of the car as well shutting the door as she does.
“Call yourself lucky at least I um well-” started Fluttershy
“Let’s talk more about it inside, and you have a new app to look into.” Rarity says heading to the back door of a second floor flat. Fluttershy followed behind her, closed off from everything else but her and what was happening now.
“Well this is my home, makes going to school a bit hard but for work it’s a snap” Rarity says, opening the unit. She feeds her pet cat opal and heads into her room before changing out of her school outfit and into her pajamas she enters her bathroom so as to be a lady for fluttershy, “Any questions darling?” she asks. Fluttershy shyly stood there with Rarity having so many questions to ask.
“So like how do you cope with all this change? It seems a bit much for a person…” says Fluttershy looking down at the ground looking away from her.
“Well for one, I feel more at home with everything due to the fact I was one of the meny Rarity fans.” she says.
“Oh um well I’m a Fluttershy fan, we’re sort of alike I guess… um why am I in here?”
“Darling, your going to be embarrassed for a few days. I myself still have some issues with my new body” Rarity says, her hamper is full of her panties.Fluttershy looks over at the hamper walking over to it.
“Wow that’s a lot of panties. Who needs this many panties anyway?” she asks no one in particular.
“Sorry darling I am still getting use to needed pads, but my current undergarments seem to work just fine....as long as I have three on at the time” Rarity says her face beat red. Fluttershy backs away from the hamper hearing her say this.
“Three panties at the same t-time? And no pads at all? Do you have issues Rarity?” she asked clearly embarrassed to.
“Darling, think about it about 4 months ago I was a man. So getting pads was not on my mind” she says. Fluttershy was getting uncomfortable hearing about Rarity’s process of dealing with her body. She whimpered.
“Sorry darling, let’s just change topics. How do you like your new pajamas?” Rarity says before moving the hamper to her closet. Fluttershy looks down at her pajamas smiling once again.
“Well they’re lovely Rarity they’re a perfect fit.” says Fluttershy appreciating how snug it was.
“Like I said back at school, I learned fast how to read my friends or clients” Rarity says. Fluttershy giggles.
“Well I’m just glad I’m not naked.” said Fluttershy bluntly.
“True darling” Rarity says before pulling up her laptop. On the screen was an emulator of the cell phone software that runs the cloth. Fluttershy sits down on Rarity’s bed relaxed. Finally she was able to get her thoughts together. Okay get your head together just play it cool. Don’t weird her out with endless questions she told herself.
“Well good this one’s up to date.” Rarity says looking at her laptop before connecting it to some nearby bolt of the cloth.Fluttershy rubs her temples getting the thoughts out of her head.
“So uh, What is it that you do here in your room?”
“I am showing you the full power of your new pajamas.” Rarity says.Fluttershy gets behind Rarity so she can see her screen.
“Oh they do more than just change colors?” wonders Fluttershy
“Just color for now dear, but you have a lot of control over it.” Rarity says before changing the bolt to hot pink. Fluttershy looks at all of the options impressed.
“Wow I could never do something like that. Quite frankly I’m jealous. You can do so much while all I can do is doodle-” she says.
“Darling, did you think about how your pajamas are polka dot.?”
“Not really, I don’t really care how I look most the time.” replies Fluttershy
“Well this program can decode it and make it a pattern” Rarity says.
“I figured as much from someone like you Rarity you think of everything”
Rarity changes the bolt back to white this time slowing it down so fluttershy can see how she did it with the RGB codes. Fluttershy frowns clearly annoyed by something. She sighs with frustration.
“RGB sliders and codes? Really? That’s the worst option to pick colors ever.” stated Fluttershy.
“Oh, well it’s the only one I can think of that will allow for the users to have control over it. If I had pre-loaded the colors it be more limited, and don’t get me started on hex code.” Rarity says.
“At least hex code can easily be copy pasted, If a consumer wants their garment to be a certain color they would have to go through programs to find out what their exact color is, more choices is more freedom. Color wheels are a good thing too, I like changing colors by going through saturation and brightness.and color.” said Fluttershy clearly having a strong opinion on the matter.
“Now that you say that it makes this a lot cleaner” Rarity says before starting to code a hex code option to the program. Fluttershy smiles relieved that she wouldn’t have to deal with how complicated RGB codes could be
Rarity’s laptop lets out a buzzer. “Darn it, where did I mess up” Rarity says as a lot of error popped up on screen. Fluttershy looked at the screen confused.
“Did you use the right files and insert them correctly? The hex code should be put into the color wheel folder I think.”
“That part I did, it’s just the darn thing is having issues converting it from one to the other, that way when you switch the setting it will stay your color and not revert back to white” Rarity says before banging her head on her desk. Fluttershy stands next to Rarity as she is breaking down. She puts her hand on her shoulder.
“May I see something? We could look at another program and datamine, see how it works together with all the functions, I know an art program that uses both” says Fluttershy trying to calm her friend.
“Darling that’s going to take some time, and even I don’t have the program or guts to even datamine another program” Rarity says. Fluttershy motions for Rarity to let her in the seat and she sits down.
“It shouldn’t take too long to download and it’s free so there’s no hassle Rares, The program is simple enough to understand anyways.”
“Really darling?” Rarity says before getting up to give her room to sit down. Fluttershy goes onto the internet and downloads the art program, in a few minutes the program has fully downloaded and Fluttershy opens it. She gives the seat back to Rarity so she wouldn’t have to stand.
“Well I be, they did do it. What was I thinking” Rarity says fixing her code with the art program on another tab for reference. Fluttershy can barely contain her excitement she was practically acting like Pinkie Pie would in any given situation.
“Let’s see.. The code works...just need to upload it to the server and done” Rarity says before Fluttershy’s phone vibrates with an update. Fluttershy unlocks her phone checking the notification at the top of the screen. It shows an update for Rar-fabric It automatically installed before the notification removes itself.
“Good, that shows the server pushed the update to all known users of the fabric” Rarity says. Fluttershy smiles seeing she did a good job. She also breaths in and out staying calm.
“I just hope everyone likes how I did the converter?” Rarity says.
“I’m sure they’ll love it Rarity.” says Fluttershy “I knew you could do it I’m proud of you” she giggled.
“Thanks darling, it was your idea on the art program that helped how did you even find it let alone what to say?.” she says. Fluttershy looks over.
“What do you mean Rarity?” Fluttershy asks.
“Well for one you know that I can fix my code with help of a data mine, and let’s not forget you know how to make the color pop on the screen” she says.
“Well um, I’m an artist Rarity and I need to know how to find the right colors. I like my art programs neat and tidy so I can do that and I would assume you would know how to data mine.”
“Good point darling, but aside from that it’s late. I am going to hit the hay” Rarity says. Fluttershy looked saddened by that fact. She closed out of all the programs active on the computer then sits down.
“Man, aren’t sleepovers supposed to be about fun instead of you know… sleeping?” asked Fluttershy.
“True darling, but it’s late and we do have school in the morning.” Rarity says moving her work calendar to thursday about two weeks out you see she’s blocked for a camp everfree.
“School? Oh heck no I already got out of school over a year ago I can’t go back!” said Fluttershy nervously.
“Darling, you may have but fluttershy still has I think another year left?” Rarity says Fluttershy was not very thrilled to hear that..
“But but all of the students… the eyes! They’ll stare at me- and I-I don’t want to make friends!” she says frightened
“Darling, please. You have me and Applejack Rainbow Dash and Pinkie, plus Sunset of all things. That’s friendship to spare” Rarity says.
“I mean I’ve met you and Pinkie of all people. I think that’s plenty friends to have.” says Fluttershy taking out a sketchbook. ”Besides I don’t think that I’m kind enough to have friends”
“Darling Please, I had no clue if I could pull this whole thing off, but I have done it for months now.” Rarity says. Fluttershy was doodling then looked up at her new friend.
“But what if I can’t do it? What if I fail to act correctly and everyone would hate me? I don’t want that to happen, so I don’t make friends in the first place.” says Fluttershy doodling.
“If they find out we can at best learn to work with it or like in Apple Blooms case, react badly” Rarity says hoping it’s the former and not the latter and walks over to hug fluttershy, “Now that I think of it darling, I was planning on showing you that app I made” Rarity adds booting up her laptop again. Fluttershy doesn’t feel like hugging Rarity back and she boots up the application on her phone.
“Fluttershy, your new pajamas have two settings. One for the base color and one for your dots.” Rarity says. Fluttershy sees the options and goes to change the colors with a color wheel.
“Okay neat that’s working just fine.” she checks to see how to activate it
“See you’re getting it” Rarity says, sending a new pattern to fluttershy a zig zag pattern in this case.
“It’s pretty simple really, It’s a simple color picking program” says Fluttershy yawning. Honestly none of the color picking was tricky at all, just tedious in Fluttershy’s eyes. “Well that takes care of that” she says putting away her phone.
“Looks like someone is sleepy” Rarity says, getting ready for bed herself. Fluttershy stretches in her seat.
“Nah I’m not tired at all I’ll stay up all night if I have to. There’s so many ideas I have on my mind.” says Fluttershy.
“How so?” Rarity asks sitting on her bed hugging her legs, and her legs just happen to compress her boobs. Fluttershy opens the art program on the computer and starts with a single line.
“Oh you know, just uh drawing stuff and not sleeping at all.” explains Fluttershy grinning awkwardly.
“Well you be you” she says before heading to bed. That night Fluttershy stayed up drawing on the art program focusing so much on the linework. Bags formed under her eyes as she tried to stay awake during the duration of her session. She made sure to save it into a Png file before she loses it. It was already 2:00 in the morning.
“Wow I actually did it, I’m so proud of myself-” She smiles quite satisfied with her linework before laying her head on the desk and passing out.

Fluttershy's Lament and Beginning
The next day, Rarity gets up to find Fluttershy sleeping on the desk.
“So much for staying up all night” she says. Fluttershy soon wakes hearing her friend’s voice. She stretches her arms in front of her and looks upward at Rarity.
“Oh hey there Rares what up?” asks Fluttershy. The computer screen was off but Rarity could tell that she’d been up for the majority of the night.
“Not a lot just starting my day, sorry for waking you fluttershy. I am going to go down stairs and get some breakfast started.” she says before heading downstairs to get breakfast, french toast in this case. Fluttershy stretches in the chair getting ready for the day, she stood up following Rarity to the kitchen. Still in her pajamas, she goes to the fridge pulling on the handle to open it.
“So thirsty, what’s there to drink in here-” Fluttershy sees an assortment of beverages but proceeds to take the milk. She pours herself a glass and takes a sip. She puts the jug away. Despite getting only four hours of sleep Fluttershy was able to function.
“You must sleep like that a lot” Rarity says as she cooks some french toast somehow she’s able to not miss a beat, Toast to eggs to pan. Fluttershy shrugs hearing her friend’s comment..
“Yeah I tend to stay up at night, no biggie.” says Fluttershy taking another sip of her milk “Oh is some of that for me? smells good.” she asks.
“Darling please, I can make some for both of us” Rarity says still not missing a beat. Fluttershy was amazed by how clockwork Rarity was, it was almost hypnotizing to watch her crack open some eggs and pouring the yolk on the toast. Fluttershy had gotten jealous of Rarity, but tried her best to not show it. “If you like, you can borrow my cookbook and I can teach you?” she says. Fluttershy jumped hearing this, nearly spilling her milk.
“Wait you’re serious? Um I don’t think that’s such a good idea, you see im forgetful and never cooked before-” says Fluttershy staring into her glass.sloshing the milk around.
“Well yes I am serious. How do you think I got good at cooking?” she adds.
“Right good point I’ll let you tech me sometime in the future.” says Fluttershy submitting to being taught.
“Fluttershy darling, we can pick this up later. We have school in about 2 hours.” explains Rarity.
“You’re right! We should be getting dressed and take our morning showers and-” Fluttershy stops at the word showers. The thought had not occurred to her she would have to wash herself in the shower. She stands there cheeks red and unmoving.
“Darling please, slow down. Let’s just start with some food and take it from there” Rarity says grabbing fluttershy on the shoulder. Fluttershy is pulled along with Rarity.
“If you s-say so Rarity, but we’re going to have to shower and um…” Fluttershy sits down in the chair at the dining room table feeling out of it.
“Darling please, are you nervous about taking a shower?” Rarity says. Fluttershy nods her whole face going red. “Darling if your worried about it, we can shower separately. I am not that sexual.” she says.
“What no it’s not that. I’ve just never seen a woman naked before- and I’v um… never taken a shower as one either.” explains Fluttershy.
“Darling please, I had that issue to until I remembered it’s just dealing with your boobs and not a dick” she says. Fluttershy thinks for a moment then nods, her cheeks still flushed.
“Well if it’s not too much trouble could you um… show me the best way to wash myself?”
“Darling I can but everyone has their own way to do it” she says.
“I’ll find it so much easier to handle if I was taught, cause like- I don’t feel comfortable even touching myself in those places yet. Does after breakfast sound good to you?” asks Fluttershy.
“Let’s do that, I just hope no one thinks this means we are dating” Rarity says blushing at the fact she is going to be training a girl how to shower.
“Thanks Rarity this means a lot to me. Yeah I hope no one thinks we’re dating.”
“I mean come on, who in their right mind would think I am gay?” she says before going back to making them breakfast, while Fluttershy appreciates Rarity and all she’s done for her already. She also looks at the kitchen and how clean it was.
“Yeah what a silly thought.” says Fluttershy attempting to sound convincing. She waits on Rarity to finish breakfast, the wonderful smell of eggs and toast invading her nose.
“Wow I can’t wait to stuff my face! Hehe.” she said grabbing her fork.
“Darling please, a lady is not going to stuff her face” Rarity says.
“This lady sure is!” said Fluttershy cutting off two pieces of the french toast putting them both in her mouth in quick succession. She chews the food until it’s
“Zu jedem ihre eigenen” she says to herself. (to each their own) Fluttershy looks up from her plate still eating, not quickly but at a pace.
“What was that?” wondered Fluttershy unfamiliar with what she said.
“Sorry dear, just some german.” Rarity says.
“Oh alright fair enough I don’t know any languages other than this one.” Fluttershy continues eating the french toasts on her plate.
“Well I guess that means a lot of people don’t know or need german?” Rarity says. Fluttershy simply nods eating more of her breakfast enjoying every bite of it. Rarity finishes her food before heading upstairs, she gets ready for school. Fluttershy does the same and they head for the showers.

It's been a full month hiatus guys! and I humbly apologize for the inconveniences. Some real life junk got in the way of brainstorming but I'm ready now and itching to continue this story!
For those wondering no there will not be a sexy shower scene in this story. In fact I think it would fit best as a side story. Thoughts? Comments? Til next time!
Fluttershy's Lament and Beginning
After a relaxing shower the two get ready for school, Rarity went into her closet for something to wear while Fluttershy grabbed her newly washed clothes. Fluttershy went into the bathroom to change into them first. She looks in the mirror taking in being another day as Fluttershy.
“You look quite fetching darling” Rarity says her voice carries a feeling of promise. Fluttershy makes a resounding “eep” in response not expecting her to come in
“Rarity you startled me!” she said. She wasn’t fully dressed, she had yet to put her shirt on.
“Sorry darling, I was going to tell you it’s time to go. We have about 45 minutes till class” Rarity says her phone alarm going off. Rarity tosses a new shirt to fluttershy it feels a lot like her pajamas. Fluttershy puts on her shirt as she was in the bathroom with her.
“Oh I’m just cleaning myself up, my long hair is such a mess”
“Take your time dear, I will be downstairs at the car, dear” Rarity says turning to go her cheeks red with embarrassment. Fluttershy grabbed a comb from a drawer and combed it flat and smooth. After she was done she posed in the mirror checking herself out. She went to the car to go to school with Rarity.
“Let’s go?” Rarity says getting in the car. She unlocks the door for Fluttershy and the shy girl opens the door getting in. she sat in the passenger seat much more calm and well put together. She looked over at Rarity with a grin.
“So we headed off to school huh? I wonder what interesting things I’ll learn there. Probably useless junk I already know” says Fluttershy
“Well for one, you may learn more about your new history and or the history of this world.” Rarity says. Fluttershy rolls her eyes groaning. “I had the idea it’s like our old world, but that’s far from it.” Rarity says as she starts to drive to school.
“History is so boring though, what’s the point of learning it?” complained Fluttershy.
Rarity was going to say something but she pulls into school at that moment. “Looks like we are here, see you after class. Fluttershy” Rarity says. Fluttershy was scared.
“You’re not coming in with me!?” she asked thinking of what could go wrong.
“Dear, we have different schedules.” Rarity says.
“But but I don’t know anyone here Rarity-” Fluttershy says shaking violently.
“Think about it you have another chance to learn about the world” Rarity says before walking to class, the first bell ringing.
Fluttershy screams fearing to be late, she ran towards the school at near her full speed. She nearly trips she went so fast. She however ran into the front doors of the school face first in her haste. Everyone seems to rush as well, some even seem to find something funny but one look from Rarity and they stay quiet. Fluttershy was in a daze, but she continued on her journey trying to find where she’s supposed to be.
“E-Excuse me do you know where I’m supposed to be?” she asked a short blue student but they were in a rush. “Um what about you do you know where my class-” in the rush another student ran into her and she gets knocked over. “Oof!”
Rarity picks her up, “Dear, your rooms are on your app?....oh darling you may need help then” she says before using her phone to sync with Fluttershy’s phone and load not only the app but her class list. Rarity escorted Fluttershy to class before returning to hers being a few mins late in the process. Fluttershy awkwardly sat in the classroom and learned about physics. It would be interesting if she hadn’t already learned it.
Rarity was having the same kind of luck, not only was she late to class but it was in math, her best subject. “Seems Fluttershy is going to take some time, why did it have to be a high school grad?” she thinks to herself. Meanwhile Fluttershy was annoyed by the things she already knew. They were learning about simple machines and she answered every question right which was surprising to her. She didn’t care about machinery. Just then the intercom turned on. In the classroom.
“Fluttershy please come to the Principal’s office Fluttershy to the Principal’s office.” Some other students in the room teased her.
“Ooh you’re in trouble.” they said pointing. Some giggling. Fluttershy groaned leaving the classroom. Being called to the Principal wasn’t something she was looking forward to but at least she wouldn’t be bored out of her mind. Fluttershy finds the principal’s office and right there sitting at the desk was Celestia. Fluttershy was hesitant to approach.
“Come, sit Fluttershy. Let us talk.” She said calmly. Despite going against her own wishes she approached and sat down in front of the principal. “Tell me Fluttershy why were you late to class?” asked Celestia. Should she lie and say that she overslept? Should she say the dumbest thing ever in hopes she would think she has amnesia? Fluttershy sighs.
“Celestia I’m sorry I was awake till midnight and uh- I must’ve forgotten where my classes were.” says Fluttershy. Principal Celestia taps her fingers on the desk, probably contemplating.
“Fluttershy I don’t believe you. Please you can tell me anything” says Celestia. Fluttershy was quiet for a solid minute before attempting to answer.
“Look I’m really exhausted and I don’t want to spend my time going over another school year so can I head back to class?” asks Fluttershy.
“Sure you can go, I’m sure it was all a mistake. Just know that I have eyes everywhere dear.” says the Principal winking. This put Fluttershy in quite the spot. What did she mean by that? These thoughts plagued Fluttershy as she headed back to class.
Rarity works on her classes and her last class is done for the day, she heads to the office to check the student files and looks for Fluttershy’s address. The happy news is that not only did she find it out but no one was there aside from a single aid’s logged on computer.

Another chapter is out! Expect some slow down from now on as we focus on other stories besides my own. I would like to put out my publishing every so often always staying a chapter ahead. Least I forget about this story. Support can really help out.
What will happen to Prestonshy next? Will she meet up with anybody else? And what is up with the Principal? Hopefully we can find out in the future.
Fluttershy's Lament and Beginning
As Fluttershy got back to class, there were murmurs going around. Apparently they've been talking about me since I left just what I needed. Just remain calm and take a seat Fluttershy! She told herself.
“Quiet down everyone, let’s get back to class” the teacher says. Fluttershy went to take her seat at her desk when something felt off. When she sat she felt something somewhat wet underneath her. Something sticky. Fluttershy knew then and there what it was. Oh you have got to be kidding me. Syrup!? Who brings syrup to school!? Wondered Fluttershy. She found herself scowling.
“Okay everyone, who is the one that put something on her chair?” the teacher says there was snickering but no one came forward. Fluttershy had never felt so embarrassed about anything in her life. She said nothing. Made no comments about the syrup even if it irritated her rear. She went and pretended that nothing was wrong even though it was starting to get into and through her skirt.
The room fell silent after that. Tension was in the air. No one was willing to put themselves in the spotlight. The students silently blamed each other for what seemed like forever.
“I think it was Fickle, she's got a real bad attitude!” said one male student in a nice suit and pants. Why is he even dressed up this isn't senior prom! Wonders Fluttershy.
“What about Sunset? She's no good. She destroyed the whole front of the school!” says Snips.
“Hey! Sunset wouldn't do that!” says Applejack defensively. “Besides, she’s takin’ a leave o’ absence from school due to emotional issues. Ah’ve been visitin’ her and droppin’ off her homework. She really needs some friends t’ cheer her up. But just maybe one or two.”
“Didn't she start helping out afterwards though? Maybe she’s changed!” one student spoke up. Her skin color was light green and darker green eyes. She had this big green poofy hair with streaks in them. She wore a black shirt with a question mark on the front. She also had on a red skirt.
At this point Fluttershy was getting annoyed Oh my gosh just because I was pranked hard doesn't make it a big deal. I just need to get through this and wash up later. She thought to herself. The teacher was also getting quite annoyed from the way she was shaking her head.
“Well of course she's changed! Besides why attack Fluttershy like that?” Applejack asked, trying to figure out who pranked Fluttershy at school. She texted Rarity and told her that someone pranked Fluttershy with the ol’ maple syrup in her chair trick and everyone’s in an uproar, accusing Sunset Shimmer of being the prankster.
“She's got a point, and why would she target Fluttershy of all people? She's like the least threatening least imposing person in this class! Maybe even the whole school!” said the green teen
Gee thanks a lot I really needed to know that. Thinks Fluttershy.
“Excuse me fine chaps? Miss shy is the most wallflower girl in the whole school.” said the well dressed student
“WILL EVERYONE JUST BE QUIET SO WE CAN CONTINUE CLASS!” the teacher yells.
Everyone in the class froze and everyone shut up then and there. Fluttershy looked over to Applejack who had her arms crossed. Probably wishing she could find the culprit. She felt bad for this Sunset and she promises to make things right. Even if she hasn't met her yet.
“Fluttershy dear you should go to clean up.” Said the teacher, Miss Cheerilee.
“If you like I can escort her to the bathroom.” Rarity says. Some students look at her funny at that, but Fluttershy smiles.
“That would be nice thank you, Miss Rarity” says Fluttershy. She tries to get up and the syrup leaves her skirt a little stuck in it since she's been sitting in it so long.
“Oh my!” Rarity says from the door.
“Syrup trap again?” the teacher asks.
“I take it you may like some help getting up darling!” Rarity says seeing how the skirt seems to stretch back to the chair.
“A little help would be nice thanks.” She said embarrassed.
Rarity walks over and checks Fluttershy’s skirt, “Well this is going to be an issue; you have it stuck to the chair so long, it’s hardened.” Rarity says.
“Shouldn't be too hard to get off maybe if i-” Fluttershy gets some saliva on to her hand and rubs it on the chair and the skirt seeing if it would help any.
The syrup starts to soften but the skirt starts ripping as well. Fluttershy starts freaking out she makes a squeal.
“Stay cool, we just have to slip you out of your skirt and into a new one.” Rarity says.
“Y-you know this is a bit much for just a silly prank! Even if it went too far… I'm not going to let you guys do that for me…”
“Darling, if we don’t do that you may rip your skirt or worse make you more of a joke. I got hit with the same trap and I jumped out of my desk instead of sitting in it.” Rarity says a blush on her face.
“So that’s why we called you ‘open skirt!’” a female student in a blue tee and black shorts says snickering.
“Well if it means getting out of this silly trap then let them laugh! I don't care!” Fluttershy grabs onto the parts of her skirt that we're still attached then ripped it off willingly.
The students just whip out there phones and start to take photos of Fluttershy’s panties. Rarity blushes at this and is thinking ‘why did I become friends with her’
Applejack heads over to shield Fluttershy from the picture taking students or at least tries to,
“All right, show’s over! Let’s let Rarity take Fluttershy to get cleaned up and get this mess cleaned up. It’s beginnin’ to really smell like a maple syrup factory in here.” The farm girl held her nose to block the stench of the syrupy mess.
Fluttershy sees them taking photos and groans really now? Everyone is doing this? Okay not everyone but still.
“Rarity, film me. Take a video.” she demands of her friend as the others are probably texting their friends.
Rarity pulls out her phone and starts to record Fluttershy.
“Is it on? We good? Ahem… people, I have just fallen victim to a prank. Rather sticky situation… syrup in my chair. Why am I not screaming in terror? Because I don't care. I would rather be humiliated and speak up than hide behind my own hair? Even though I should be doing that… I ripped my own skirt to free myself so yeah… let this be a message to you prankers this publicity isn't funny! It's embarrassing so just… just stop!” Fluttershy finished by sighing and pulling the stray hair away from her eyes.
Everyone is silent, even Applejack looks at Fluttershy mouth agape.
“I think we just made an enemy out of the wrong person!” Snips says, gulping out of fear,
Snails responds to his friend sarcastically, “You think?”
Applejack stood there with her mouth agape, “Wow, Ah didn’t think ya had that in ya, sugarcube. “ She headed over to help Fluttershy, “Miss Cheerilee, may Ah pleased be excused t’ help mah friend with gettin’ cleaned up and Ah’ll haul this chair to the dumpster, unless it’s evidence fer Principal Celestia.”
“Come on let's get me cleaned up girls-” said Fluttershy walking over to her friends.
Rarity just nods not turning off the video recording, just looking at the two students and the teacher sends them both to the main office for a talk with the principal. Fluttershy is escorted out of the classroom by her friends.

Uh oh, Fluttershy is getting into a heap of trouble! Who did it? The suspense! The mystery! Hopefully things get better.

Fluttershy's Lament and Beginning
Fluttershy, Rarity, and Applejack head to the workshop before switching the school’s app to show them as in an emergency.
“Well I was going to try and clean up the skirt but making a new one is a better idea. That was certainly something Fluttershy.” Rarity says.
“Ya okay, sugarcube? That was mighty brave o’ ya, standin’ up fer yerself.” Applejack stated.
“Oh… did I scare you girls?” asked Fluttershy concerned.
Both of them just nod yes.
“S-Sorry girls I got caught up in the moment. If I was going to be humiliated might as well have the last laugh right?”
“You have a point there darling, I am just going to start on your new skirt.” Rarity says, her voice shaking.
“The office may need me to give a statement 'about this; sorry I gotta go.” Applejack says, backing out of the room.
“A statement? What's that mean?” Fluttershy turned her attention to Applejack. “Applejack?”
Rarity just walks to her bolts of silk and other fabrics and says nothing. Seeing Applejack leave saddened Fluttershy, but it wasn't too hard to understand why she left. She sighs
“Rarity, do you think Applejack will be okay?” asks Fluttershy.
“I don’t know, Fluttershy you scared the class good with your action.” Rarity says the fear can be heard in her voice.
“Not you too Rarity… Surely you don't think I'm some kind of monster do you?”
“Well....not really......I don't think that it’s jussst hard to keep cool when you do a complete 180 darling!” Rarity said, stuttering some.
“I thought you would be proud of me for standing up for myself, not completely and utterly mortified…” said Fluttershy sadly “Honestly ripping that skirt off was the scariest thing I've ever been through.” she says looking to the floor.
“Darling, it's not that...even though I didn’t have the nerve to rip my own skirt off...but my trap was some glue. I was clueless till the end of class and I tried to get up” Rarity says before crying.
“Rarity…” Fluttershy wraps her arm around Rarity hugging her. “No matter what happens and no matter what people say you will always be a proper lady, no wardrobe malfunction or sabotage can change that. You know that right?”
“Thank you darling, it’s just that I have not told anyone about it.” Rarity says. Just then Fluttershy spies a skirt on the wall with the words never forget , the skirt itself is ripped up to the hips and some white substance remained sticking to it.
“I understand completely, I've been in a few… situations as well... Is this the source of your disdain?” She asks gesturing towards the skirt.
“It is, aside from the open skirt they called me, well, cum sitter.” Rarity admits.
“If it makes you feel any better they'll probably call me something embarrassing as well…” Fluttershy sniffles and rubs her eyes. Despite her sadness she kept a smile on her face, for Rarity.
“Thanks for that Fluttershy, but last I checked I was not the one in need of a new pair of skirts.” she says getting back on task. Fluttershy looks down blushing remembering that her panties are visible.
“Oh well uh at least we know each other so well that being here alone with you isn't scary.” said Fluttershy.
“True, and I was not one of the ones snapping a photo.” Rarity checks her phone, “Scratch that, they just posted it online,” she adds.
“Looks like part two of my plan will have to come sooner than I expected… Rarity, the video we made.”
“Right darling, just have to edit the time and cut the last bit....uploading now” Rarity says. “I forgot to end the recording so it recorded our conversation.” she adds. “Don’t worry it was not in the video” she clears up.
“That's good, otherwise what you told me… nevermind let's not think about that. What we should be looking forward to is the comments this video will get.” Fluttershy said
“Well some are good but some are bad” Rarity says as the comments flood her phone ranging from ‘good to know’ to ‘she’s just being a bitch’.
“The internet is a fickle thing, I am still trying to remove that one Video of Princess Twilight when she got here. Sunset tried to do a number on her publicly but it backfired.” Rarity adds. Fluttershy takes a look over her shoulder to see the comment section.
“That girl may be crazy but she's hot… okay then good to know their priorities. I thought that she was a doormat, guess I was wrong.” Fluttershy smiles at that “looks like a few have gotten the memo”
“Man, men or women have some sick priorities.” Rarity says looking at some of the comments, one was so far as to ask if she was looking to have a good time. Rarity just baffs at that one.
“Looks like a mission accomplished for the most part.” Fluttershy closes her eyes and she holds her forehead. She sighs. “Well I wouldn't be surprised if many fellow students ran away from me after that.”
“I am a bit surprised myself, darling you scared me pretty good when you made the message, what's a better idea for your skirt? Silk or do you think cotton will be better?” Rarity asks.
“Um silk?” guessed Fluttershy.
“Well that will change some things… going to have to add a stretch to fit the tube and secure the whole thing with a small wire frame… But if I did that then it will add to the drag… well the length will have to be set below the knee… Maybe a floor length?” Rarity seems in the zone and planning a lot of edits.
Fluttershy backed away not wishing to disturb her concentration. She was fixating on leaving but remembered her current attire and had to stay put. I wouldn't want to run into any more creeps with their phones out. She thought.
Rarity gets up and grabs some measuring tape and gets your size in the hips and the legs.
“Well that will work with both kinds.” she says not cutting some options from her plan. Fluttershy could only watch in wonder of her concentration as she measured her without a second thought.
Rarity moves to her wire supply and finds she has just the right amount for both a small skirt or a full floor length one. Meanwhile Fluttershy gets out her phone to check the video feed, even watching her own speech once or twice.
Can't believe I actually pulled that off, maybe it's because I'm a girl and have a little less to show that I was less nervous. Wondered Fluttershy. She replies to one comment as she thought about it.
Rarity was cutting and sewing some fabric together. She had some of the right color fabric and from the size of it she was making both kinds. Fluttershy looked up from the screen to see how Rarity was doing. Rarity was putting some final accents to the long skirt in this case a set of three butterflies.
“Looking good Rarity. When will it be ready to wear?” Asks Fluttershy.
“Well I do need to do at least one fitting, otherwise they are ready.” she replies. Fluttershy smiles.
“I trust you enough to know you will do wonders.” she says.
“Darling you don’t get it, the skirts both of them are for you,” she clarifies.
“Oh goodness, I meant your career not wearing my new skirts.” Corrected Fluttershy. “So you just need me to try it on?”
“I guess we both had to clarify but yes darling.” Rarity says her fitting stand ready. Fluttershy steps onto the stand and awaits the fashionista to bring her skirt.
Rarity brings over the smaller of the two, “This will I think be the same size as your old one but due to the new wire frame it may be a bit harder on the wight.” Rarity says handing it to Fluttershy. She takes it and eventually figures out how to slip it on and get it fixed to her waist.
“You're right it is a little heavy. Not too big a difference though.” Says Fluttershy checking herself out and posing.
“Good, and it sits just after your knees.” Rarity says saving some notes before handing fluttershy a box to store it. She comes by with a much longer skirt. “This one I mostly use as a dress form but in this case it still works as a skirt as well” Rarity says. The skirt in question was so long it lay just on the floor even with a mannequin wearing it. Fluttershy had some concerns.
“Isn't that a little um, long?”
“It is darling, but for the time being you don’t need the crazy students sneaking a pic from under your skirt do you. You made quite the impact today.” Rarity says. Fluttershy twiddles her fingers.
“Well I um, I don't think things will go that far…” she says blushing “Maybe we're overthinking things.”
“Darling, I have found about fifty photos of my underwear and that’s what I know who knows how many are out there” she says before opening a folder on her computer and sure enough the photos she had did range from panty shots when she’s bending down to ones where she’s walking to class or other events.
Fluttershy however covers her eyes knowing that the person in the picture was her friend. However she then looks between the fingers of her opening hand just to be sure.
“Darling, you just posted a video of your reaction to being found in a syrup prank.” Rarity says seeing her reaction. Fluttershy hides her embarrassed face behind her hair.
“That's different it's y-you I don't want to hurt you”
“Darling I am just saying I know from experience that some students will do that, and this is only the one’s I have found and recovered who knows how many are still out there. Some even had a dare to try and snap a shot without me finding out” Rarity says shaking her head at the idea.
“If it isn't too much to ask I think I'll take the risk, who knows maybe after a while they'll get bored.” says Fluttershy.
“Right, well I will just keep this one on standby in case you change your mind” Rarity says before walking the skirt to a storage room. Fluttershy waits for Rarity to get back, when she does she asks Fluttershy a question. “Are you sure you're up for this?” Fluttershy nods.
“Mhm I'm ready for a-anything.” Says Fluttershy.
“Well you will have to adapt to the new skirt and it’s a lot harder to stick you like last time, when done right silk is a water-safe item… not telling you to go swimming in it just that next time-.” Rarity says beginning one of her tangents. Fluttershy stops her there.
“Rarity, I think I get it. Thank you” she says. Looking out into the hallway she breathes exercising calmness.
“Well looks like school is just getting out, seems they made you miss your last class. I will go to the office and see about getting you excused.” Rarity says.
“You don't have to do that Rarity! You've already done so much for me. It doesn't feel right!” Fluttershy turns the knob and pushes the door to the hall open. She walks into the hall expecting her friend to follow.
Rarity follows after locking up, her skirt seems to shift with her movements but Fluttershy can see a small wire showing from the skirts hip opening. She pays the miniscule details no mind.
“Darling please, it’s the least I can do for taking time out of your school day. And I don’t need them thinking you are ditching class” Rarity says. Fluttershy thought about it for a moment before nodding.
“I'll go with you then; not like I have anywhere else to go.” explains Fluttershy.
“13631 East Flutters Avenue is your home on this side of things. I was able to pull your student data from the office when you had class, but before your… prank.” Rarity says. Fluttershy mouths the address saying it in her mind until it stuck.
“Well I have no way of getting there on my own I don't think. How would I even get in I wonder?” Fluttershy thought.
“I was hunting around your old skirt and found a key ring, as for transport I can drive you or you take the bus. It’s not that hard; the 14th comes by the school every hour and it’s about an hour drive from the school. Most of the time I found you walking to and from school due to your time at the shelter.” Rarity says before tossing her the key ring. Fluttershy shrieks almost not catching the thrown key ring. Fortunately she caught it before it fell to the floor.
“Phew, just barely.” said Fluttershy with an exasperated sigh. Fluttershy slips the key ring on her left ring finger.
“Nice catch darling. Now let’s stop by the office and clear this whole thing up.” Rarity says.
“Don't think there's much to clear up; it was just a harmless prank, but if you think we should then we will.” says Fluttershy. They were already headed in that general direction anyways so it would be a quick stop anyways.
“Let’s not forget to head home and see if you live with anyone, they must be worried sick!” Rarity says being a bit dramatic about it.
“Oh Rarity always getting ahead of yourself huh?” Asks Fluttershy smugly.
“Sorry Fluttershy, I must really stop reading so many drama books,” Rarity says, but she could tell from a small smile that that is not the case.
Fluttershy only giggles. If only she knew of the death filled adventurous books that I read. She would freak! Maybe we should share our interests. She thought to herself. Rarity looks at Fluttershy.
“Darling what do you find so funny?” she asks.
“Oh nothing, I was just thinking about how much we have in common, despite you know the obvious.” says Fluttershy lying.
“You do have a point darling, but that move you did in the classroom will have an effect here.” Rarity says.
“True, all too true.” says the timid girl. How will I ever change their minds about me? She wondered.
The pair had just finished their conversation as they had arrived at the door to the office. Rarity motioned toward it implying Fluttershy should go first. Fluttershy was about to object when the doorknob turned and the door swung open.
Fluttershy's Lament and Beginning
As Rarity and Fluttershy get to the main office they stop in their tracks as they see the door start to open. At first they get nervous to see an angry Principal Celestia or Vice Principal Luna….
However they see Applejack just exiting the office. Fluttershy breathes a sigh of relief and reaches her hand out to touch her on the shoulder.
“Applejack, are you alright? Speak to me...” beckons Fluttershy.
“Ah’m fine Fluttershy! Ah just needed some time to think. Land sakes, girl! You really tossed us a loop with that reaction!” Applejack says. Fluttershy sighed sadly.
“I know I freaked you out Applejack and I'm sorry. I didn't mean for that to happen. However, overall I'm still me right?” asks Fluttershy.
“Yes, Fluttershy you're our friend. If Ah wasn’t, then why did Ah come to your defense when the class started pointin’ fingers and taking photos on their cell phones?” Applejack says with a frustrated sigh.
“You have a point there Applejack, to be honest I just wanted class to continue, and ripping off my skirt was the scariest thing that's ever happened to me.” Fluttershy admitted timidly.
“What about that time bein’ locked in that supply closet that one time? That shoulda been scarier than this right?” asked Applejack.
“I barely remember any of that, something to do with a split mind or whatever, memories disappearing and being replaced among other things I don't understand.” explains Fluttershy. Being trapped in a supply closet by myself with little to do but yell out for help? That does sound scary. She thought.
“Ah’m in the same boat, so to speak, with the whole bein’ Applejack and all. Ah wonder if there are others like us here. Maybe we can conduct our own investigation. Ah’ll ask mah sis and her friends to help us if they find any of’ their classmates their age actin’ out o’ place. Make a list of’ our classmates and all that.” Applejack adds in. “Oh, we need t’ talk to’ Principal Celestia and Vice Principal Luna ‘bout that there video that’s goin’ “viral.`` Whatever that means.”
“Maybe I'm not fully myself. It's hard to explain.” says Fluttershy.
“I had the same feeling sometimes; it’s hard to pin down if Ah have fully finished myself.” Applejack says. Rarity says nothing but nods her head in understanding.
“Hey we're here for you. Anytime you find yourself in a jam, you can call us.” says Fluttershy
“Yes, this is not all just about you. We are all here for you.” Rarity says before entering the office. Fluttershy pats Applejack on the back and follows Rarity into the office.
Applejack nodded, “Thanks, Fluttershy, Rarity.”
Just then, Vice-Principal Luna stepped toward the girls entering her office, making Fluttershy nervously jump. “Please come in, girls. We need to talk about the incident in Miss Cheerilee’s classroom.” They all agree and head inside.
“Hopefully it’s not something major.” Rarity says.
“M-me neither. I hate confrontations.” Said Fluttershy
“Who do ya think pulled the syrup trap on Fluttershy?” Applejack asked Rarity.
“I have no clue darling, I am just as clueless as you are.” Rarity says.
“Neither Do I, and I intend to figure out who's behind all of this. I trust you girls are already on the case?” says Principal Celestia sitting in her office chair behind her desk.
“Maybe we could play detective, eh Rarity?” Fluttershy suggested nudging Rarity.
“That may be an idea darling, but I don’t know how well we can do without a lab to back us up.” Rarity says.
“Besides,we cannot just go ‘round accusin’ every student without direct proof.” Applejack stated to her friends.
“That is why I think we need to look into it.” Rarity says.
“Where do we begin? Maybe figure out who had the most motive to bring maple syrup to school and somehow get it on Fluttershy’s chair before class? Ah mean, someone had to see the prankster or pranksters do it.” Applejack offered.
“Who brings Syrup to a school anyway?” Asks Fluttershy.
“They may like some syrup over others; I know the lunch room has some pancakes on for lunch today.” Rarity says.
“Ah know! We could ask Granny Smith if she noticed any maple syrup missin’ from the lunch serving’ area. Could be our first lead?” Applejack suggested, hitting her hands together in anticipation of solving the “Great Maple Syrup Prank” caper.
“Pinkie sure likes sweet stuff…” says Fluttershy thinking.
“Yes, Miss Pie has been known to hold some whip cream in one of her hidden holes inside the school.” Luna says, you can tell she’s tried to find it by her voice.
“I do not want to know where that hole is” says Fluttershy.
“But why do you think Pinkie may prank you? Are we not best friends?” Rarity says.
“Yes I don't think that Pinkie would be one to do such a heinous act” says Principal Celestia.
“Ah don’t think Pinkie Pie would be the type t’ prank her best pal, sugarcube.” Applejack sighs. “After all, all these leads could be just red herrings.”
“Well it was j-just a prank right?” asks Fluttershy.
“Plus darling, the syrup may have come from their home. Well did they target Fluttershy herself or just the next student that sat down?” Rarity says.
“Beats me, I don't really mind actually if it was her”
“Darling, you lost a good skirt to that prank!?” Rarity says.
“It's fine Rarity I'm not hurt, just embarrassed is all” says Fluttershy.
“Maybe for you, but I for one can’t think about ruining a article of clothing like that!” replies Rarity disgusted.
“You may be right, after all clothing is a sacred thing, and public nudity is frowned upon in many nations. I fear for what may happen to you in the future Fluttershy.” Says Vice Principal Luna.
Fluttershy chuckled nervously.
“And to top it off her new skirt is made with a yet to be released material!” Rarity says proudly.
“Impressive if we allowed fashion in our school fairs I'm sure that you would win a prize for most inspired” says Principal Celestia.
“Thank you for the vote of confidence Principal Celestia, but I for one am just starting my business for it.” Rarity says.
“Fair enough. Now that reminds me of Fluttershy. How have your classes been?” Asked Principal Celestia.
“Oh well I don't actually know… I feel like I'm not doing so well.”
“Fluttershy darling, you may like to take some time off. We just handled the Dazzlings did we not?” Rarity says.
“Did we? I don't remember that.” says Fluttershy
“Darling, did you forget about the Battle of the Bands?” Rarity asks.
Fluttershy nods.
“Well you remember the Dazzlings?” Rarity adds.
“Now that you mention it that does sound familiar… Are they super popular?”
“Rarity I do believe that Fluttershy has had some recent memory loss. Best not to confuse her.” says Principal Celestia.
“My bad Principal Celestia, just trying to help find out if so how far back is the loss.” Rarity adds.
“Just be sure to be a friend and help out if she can't recall something.” Luna adds
“I see your point, Vice Principal Luna. Well they did
“Why would they do such a thing?” Asks Fluttershy.
“Well we don’t fully know but my best guess is food.” Rarity replies.
“Well if they wanted food they could've gone to a buffet. All you can eat and great with friends!” Applejack stated.
“Well if they were normal humans that would have been a snap, but they are Sirens..... evil mermaids.” Rarity says. Fluttershy raises her eyebrow in confusion.
“Mermaids? Sirens aren't exactly mermaids; close but not quite there either. Mermaids are part human.” says Fluttershy
“Point, sadly I don’t know fully as they are from a different world outside of our own.” Rarity says. Then the principal speaks up.
“While I would love to discuss the school’s recent high and low moments, I would really like to get back to this investigation.” Says Principal Celestia with a sigh.
“My apologies, Principal Celestia.” Rarity says bowing in respect to the head administrator.
“No need for apologies; I find the company quite enjoyable. Now I have a few questions to ask you girls.” Principal Celestia requested.
“What can we do for you principal?” Rarity asks.
“Has anyone seen any suspicious activity at all today?” Principal Celestia offered.
“Not that I know of.” Rarity responded to the Principal’s query concerning suspicious activity.
“I'm sorry I haven't seen anything I don't think. I sort of just sat down and it happened.” Admits Fluttershy.
“Ah was just comin’ inta class when Fluttershy sat down in the maple syrup.” says Applejack. “Ah then got a text from one o’ mah cousins who is plannin’ t’ transfer here Her name is Babs Seed. She’s the same age as Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle, an’ Scootaloo.”
“Hm..” Celestia writes some things down on a notepad. “So who was in the classroom when this happened?”
“From what I remember, Snips and Snails, Miss Cheerilee, Applejack I think, and I don’t know any other names?” Rarity says.
“I think there was somebody in there named Fickle?” said Fluttershy thinking.
“Why is it that I can’t remember who that is.” Rarity says thinking herself.
“She must be a new student. Then again we have been gettin’ some new students lately,” Applejack mentioned matter-of-factly.
“I didn't quite get a good look at her. I wonder what she's like?” Wonders Fluttershy.
“I myself have seen her around, but I've yet to talk with her.” says Rarity.
“Ah sure haven't seen 'er much. Could be a transfer student.” Applejack said aloud grabbing the edge of her Stetson tipping it.
“Fickle is an odd name, but I have heard some students say she talks to herself and is not in a group for long, before leaving them for another group.” Rarity says.
“Fickle, yes I do believe she just transferred here to Canterlot High just last week.” says Celestia.
“Do we happen to have a last name for her, or is her file incomplete?” Rarity inquires with a raised eyebrow.
“I think I have her file somewhere in this cabinet here.” says Celestia reaching over, pulling the cabinet drawer open. There were many files inside. “Not exactly sure if it's in here because a certain someone had dropped them all when cleaning.” She says subtly glancing at Luna.
Rarity just rolls her eyes at that, as if she knows who that someone is. Fluttershy giggles at the unfortunate event explained to them.
“Ah, here it is.” says Celestia taking out a file and placing it on her desk. She opens it showing the file to the group. “Fickle Fate, a transfer student from Cirrus Academy, a sophomore. I believe this will be helpful?”
The picture showed a young teenage girl with light green curly hair with blue and aqua highlights, green eyes, and light green to yellow skin. She was wearing a black shirt with a white question mark on the front of it.
“That’s Fickle, all right.” Applejack confirmed the identity of the student after examining her picture in her file. “First person everyone pointed to when the prank was discovered.” She sighed, “Ya think she may know who did the prank?” Applejack asked Rarity.
“Who knows, even if she did it, I hear she’s been forgetful about some things.” Rarity replies.
“Oh! I actually did see her in the room where it all happened. I think she was defending Sunset.” says Fluttershy taking a glance at the photo on the file.
“Hmmm… so maybe she isn’t behind the pranks?” Applejack asked. “Short o’ askin’ her directly, how are we gonna find out who’s behind the pranks without alertin’ the pranksters we are onto them?” The farm girl posed a thought-provoking question.
“That's quite the predicament. I wonder what there is to do! I guess the only thing we can do is head to this person for any clues.” says Fluttershy.
“Maybe but if they did it or know who did it may tip them off” Rarity says, thinking how they can follow her and find out the truth.
“That may be a great solution, however this plan of yours may have to wait until tomorrow.” said Celestia looking at the clock. It read 4:25.
“Quite right Principal, I myself have a gaming date in about 20 minutes.” Rarity says.
“Aw shucks, guess we lost track of time, eh Fluttershy?” Said Applejack
Fluttershy simply nods waving goodbye to the two. She followed after Rarity who heads out after saying bye to Luna.
“Well now ah’m even more curious, since we have t' go home, savin it fer another day…” Applejack got on her phone texting someone. “Ah sure hope mah sister and her friends don’t get carried away in helpin’ catch whoever’s doin’ this or wind up bein’ caught in another prank.”
“Knowing your sister and my own, they will find some way to over do it!” Rarity says.
“I'm just glad that we can finally rest easy at h-home…” Fluttershy says. Then she remembers that she's never been to her own house before.
“That is true, darling. If you like I can escort you home.” Rarity offered.
“That would be lovely thank you Rarity.” says Fluttershy as they walk down the hall. When they arrived at the front door, outside there were students waiting for them.
