Alicorn's of Equestria

Equestria was a land founded by the three original tribes (Earth Ponies, Unicorn’s and Pegasus) so they could live side by side in harmony since their fighting and hatred for each other was what destroyed their last land and almost this one.

They had to decide on a united way to rule the new land since it was obvious their old system was a failure since it had destroyed their old land. The Unicorn’s magic was used to raise the sun and the moon, The Pegasus managed the weather and made it comfortable and livable for all Ponies and The Earth Ponies grew food and organized the lands of Equestria.

The system they were operating was working but they all understood that they had trouble appointing a leader. The Unicorn’s wanted Equestria to have a Unicorn leader, the Pegasus wanted a Pegasus leader and the Earth Ponies wanted a Earth Pony leader. This started a small conflict between the tribes but then one abnormally powerful Unicorn formulated a plan and a compromise.

He decided that if he and other Unicorn's used their powers to combine the powers of all three tribes. With a small DNA sample from each tribe he could create a hybrid. That could manage and rule Equestria in harmony and avoid conflict and hatred between the tribes.

This idea was supported and welcomed by some. Some thought it was mad some branded him insane and said he needed to be locked up but after deep thought and okay from the majority of all tribes a random member was selected from each tribe to give the sample DNA.

THen after long and extensive work by the group of volunteering Unicorns, Pegasus and Earth Ponies. They created the overall best hybrid that was a talented in Magic as Unicorns, Flight as Pegasus and Manual Labour as Earth Ponies. They called the species Alicorn’s.

They created 2 Alicorn’s originally who would create a large royal family. It was decreed that they would have enough children that would be able to rule over Equestria easily and efficiently all taking on different roles in the royal family.

At this time though the King was responsible for raising the sun at dawn, governing Pegasus and Earth Ponies while the Queen was responsible for taking out the stars and moon at night, governing the Unicorns and Pony Magic.

The Royal Family was also advised not to breed with other Ponies since it may damage their powers and ability. The King and Queen had 5 Sons. One who was born with the power to raise the stars and moon, one who was born to govern Pegasus, another to govern Unicorns and Pony Magic, one to govern Earth Ponies and the final was born with a special power of love. He could spread love where ever he went. These Alicorn’s all had their special powers and they formed the base of the Equestrian Royal Family.

All the Ponies in charge of creating the King and Queen were drafted again to create 5 female Alicorn’s. One that had the power to raise the sun at dawn, 3 to help govern each Pony Species and a final one that had a special power of love.

They were all paired so that they would be able to carry on the line of Alicorn’s in an established manner. The King and Queen stayed in power to help maintain Harmony and make sure their children were carrying out their royal duties. Sadly, Due to the nature of the Royal Family the heirs could only be Prince’s and Princess’s. It is since all heirs share duties of the Royal Family were shared and two couldn’t fairly become the King and Queen.

The Royal Family continued ruling in Harmony. The next generation continued in a different way. Each Couple had two children. Each line had one male and one female. The Male got the power of their specific family line and the female got one from another family branch giving them a partner for the future.

The first Pony born in that generation was a male born at midnight to the first son of the King and Queen his son was given the power to raise the stars and moon. The second was born to the fourth son of the King and Queen and she was born at midday the next day and had the power the raise the sun. This was the start of a family tradition for the Ponies with the sun and moon powers.

One generation the male would have power over the sun and the female would have power over the moon. The male would be born at midday and the midnight after the female would be born. The next the male would have power over the moon and the female would have power over the sun. The male would be born at midnight and the next midday the female would be born. Then so on.

The other royal family births were never as correlated as the Sun and Moon births but they were all born with roles in their line or a line to marry into. This is how magic kept the Alicorn’s a perfect hybrid and they could maintain harmony all over Equestria all having their little roles in Equestria.

The Royal family were able to maintain harmony for generations. The population of Equestria was happy with the governing of their sweet nation. Sadly, One Generation of Royalty a mishap in Alicorn Genealogy happened a ‘extra’ Alicorn was born without a pre-determined power and partner. This Alicorn was a rebellious one and fell in love with a ‘normal’ Unicorn.

She was given an ultimatum by her family
“Thou shall come back to the family and live the life of a nun or leave and cut all current and future contact and association with the family.” She took the second option and got together with this Unicorn. However, The Pony public was upset with this Alicorn being disowned for being in love.

The public trust in the Royal’s fell. Some say this is what caused the next events and years of horror to unfold. Regardless, The Public hated the Royals for caring more about bloodline and stature than family relations.
