Chapters Author's Note
Right. Second Fanfic. Even though the first one just came out. If you didn’t understand the chapter’s ending, don’t worry, it will get more clearer as the chapters go by.
I would like to say a quick but meaningful thank you for the people that read my first fanfic. It was scary, posting stuff that I created, hoping it would be acceptable in society. But now, seeing how much love I got from the first one, I appreciate it a lot.

Hostile
For a moment, everything was dark.
There was nothing in line of sight. Everything was supposedly pitch black, with Sunset floating about in it. She glanced around, trying to find something that was actually matter, but there was nothing. No shelf, no books, no cellphone, no nothing. Of course, after a short while, she tried to make sense of it.
‘How did I get here? ,’ she asked herself. Admittedly, the last thing she remembered was having a splendid time with SciTwi and the rest of the Rainbooms, laughing and joking about in front of the portal leading to Equestria. Nothing less, nothing more. But before she could even think further, a voice, oddly familiar to her whisper to her ears.
“This, Sunset, is the realm of your mind.”
This, of course, made her jump. She looks behind to see the potential threat. Her hands were folded up, kung fu style, with her body making a striking position, ready to fight. Turns out all that was was Applejack, with her head gazing down to her feet. This, in turn, made her face unable to be seen to others. Sunset lowers her guard, only to chuckle and smile over towards her. For a second, she thought Applejack would respond, but she doesn’t. All she does was stare at the ground, even if there was a ground to begin with.
“Applejack, you okay?”
Silence.
Applejack doesn’t give a damn, as she continues to look down. This, got Sunset concerned. Immediately, she rests her hand on Applejack’s cold shoulder, asking her the previous question, only with a more moderate and deep voice.
“Applejack. Are you okay?”
This time, she does react. She gives out a grin, and soon after, a chuckle, and afterwards, a laugh. It got louder and louder by the second, so loud Sunset had to cover both of her ears, taking her arms away from her friend’s shoulder.
“Fool. ” Applejack says, whilst launching her gaze upwards. Sunset, without purpose, looked over at Applejack’s face, and immediately, she noticed the differences. Her face was way darker than it should have, being the white girl she is. Not only that, her eyes were somewhat neon green, emitting a radiating light. Her eye lashes were the same colour, but shaped more violent and dangerous.
It’s like Sunset has seen this before.
She know she has.
After a moment, she realized.
Midnight.
“Just what did you do to her!?”
“Oh, nothing to worry, Sunset. I simply took her body.”
Her words made Sunset pissed. She forcefully released a sudden burst of energy, as her jacket and emblem shirt begin to transform into a ball gown, her hair shooting upwards, resembling a fire of somekind. Wings suddenly began appearing from her back, same goes for the horn. She wasn’t surprised by this formation. It was like it was her doing.
Her doing to defeat Midnight. Again.
“Leave my friend alone. Now.” Her hands began to form a ball of some sort, in full fledged yellow colour. She was about to get ready to blast Midnight to oblivion, but she had the tendency to speak up.
“Now, now, Sunset. You don’t want your precious friend here to die by your hands, isn’t it?”
Sunset hesitates. Even though she doesn’t want to hear a word that Midnight says, it is still true. If she’s going to hurt Midnight, she’s hurting Applejack. After a moment, her magic suddenly fades away, and just like that, her transformation is gone. Midinight gives a grin towards Sunset, certainly interested.
“That’s more like it.”
All that Sunset did was look down, trying to conceal her face. It’s like she doesn’t know what to do. Either to face her best friend or avoid her worst enemy. To be happy or sad, or desperate, or lust, or, well, anything. Midnight, for one, doesn’t care.
“How about we change the setting here. That way this can go down way easier.”
Snap.
Suddenly the empty void that Sunset and Midnight were floating around was gone, filled with the scene of the school. Sunset was quite shocked about it, and took a few more glances. For somewhat reason, everything is grey, like a 90’s show. But something was off, and Sunset noticed it right off the get go.
It’s their picnic.
Over at the staute, stands her friends, frozen in action, or possibly time itself. All of them were there. RD, Fluttershy, Rarity, Pinkie Pie, and...
Twilight?
Wait. That couldn’t have made any sense. Twilight is Midnight. How did they become seperate entities?
‘How did she escape her? ’, she said in her mind, as she stares at her actionless friends, in full display. The longer she stares, the more it gets creepier. Just the thought of somebody this powerful, able to stop time, doing anything they want, without any restrictions, is substantially cold hearted.
‘But then, why didn’t she use it during our fight? ’
“That’s because, Sunset, like I said. This is the realm of your mind.”
Midnight stops for a moment, before continuing.
“I can do anything here. In more ways than you can ever dream of! Afterall, I was a part of Twilight’s consciousness. Of course I had this ability. Sure, I cannot harm you, but that’s just minimum to what I can achieve here.”
That’s when it hits Sunset.
“Then, this is just....”
“A dream.”
Midnight gives Sunset a little smirk, as both of them made eye contact, with Sunset’s way more ferocious and fierce looking. While Midnight, on the other hand, non caring and minuscule in intensity. She gives Sunset a quick laugh and cuts her gaze, walking slowly towards the Rainbooms.
“Took you long enough.” she says, before she was face first with RD, who was still frozen, not even reacting to a thing. Even, the presence of Midnight right in front of her. She gives the emotionless girl a quick smirk, before Sunset interrupts her.
“Don’t. You. Dare. Touch. My. Friends.”
“What’s the matter, Sunset? I am your friend after all.” she says, all while exclaiming her use of Applejack’s body.
“Liar.”
For a second, Midnight doesn’t respond, but she did afterwards.
“You know, I never really liked Applejack to begin with. I have to admit, she is nice, but white doesn’t suit me.”
She continues.
“Get ready to catch, Sunset.”
Snap.
Suddenly, Applejack’s eyes turns to normal, as she quickly falls to the ground of grey, all in a lymphatic motion. Sunset did manage to get her in time, but she was the one left hurt. Applejack was, unconscious. She did try to wake her up, shaking her and screaming her name, but it was no use. She just wouldn’t wake.
Until, for some reason, Sunset dropped a tear.
It wasn’t on purpose, but it felt like she just expressed her feelings, despite it being her body’s work. In a way, seeing her friends, helpless in time being frozen, Applejack being controlled by her worst enemy yet, and not to mention her plan to almost kill her, broke her. Not only that, but she felt, good. Good to express out. Good to break free from closing her feelings.
Good to raze the barrier she built herself.
She began to cry, more and more, each second getting louder and louder, as she looks down over Applejack.
She whispers to her unconscious friend.
“Forgive me. ”
Midnight quickly interupts this.
“Now, Sunset, allow me to explain the real reason I’m here.”
Snap.
Suddenly, Sunset was sitting up straight, with her arms, legs, and her general body, moving on it’s own. She tried to fight it, but it was no use. Soon enough, she was stuck, unable to sit back down, unable to get Applejack, unable to do anything, really. Sure, she could jitter here and there, but mostly is limited. She was staring to Midnight and her 4 other friends. Surprisingly enough, Sunset could speak.
“Don’t you dare touch them! You bastard!!”
“Oh, Sunset. You naive little filly. You can’t even do anything if I did.”
In a way, Midnight was right. She was constrained in her invisible chain, forced to watch her and her friends. Even if she did somethin to them, Sunset was useless. All she could do was watch, and speak. Midnight gives Sunset a huge laugh, as her hands became like Daydream’s before. Soon enough, she was practically holding a ball of concentrated death. She smirks and looks over to Sunset.
Only for a question to pop up from her mouth.
“Now, Sunset, who should I kill first?”

Look, I’m very, very sorry for not uploading. But c’mon, cut me some slack here. I’ve been productive now. For the first time in my life.

Forethought
Sunset was shocked by Midnight’s use of words.
She just, couldn’t believe it. Kill? Why? This is her nightmare, after all. It wouldn’t really kill them, in reality wise, but instead in her realm, yes. It doesn’t make any sense. What makes her do this, even though she already knows that it wouldn’t bring to any significant change?
‘Why?! ’
Midnight, was quick to respond to her, even though she said those words inside her mind. Just like she said, it is the realm of the mind, and her powers goes by anything she can imagine. She smiles, and glances over to Sunset, giving a villian styled face to her, making her ticked off, essentially changing her expression from questioned to angry in a matter of seconds. Midnight, meanwhile, was hoping for that reaction to come.
“You’ll see soon enough. Assuming you were able to resist, of course.”
“What are you talking about!?”
She chuckles before responding, all while changing her gaze to the other 4, who were still stuck in time. It was like she was choosing one, like a game of eenie-mini-minnie-mo.
“Oh, shut up, Sunset. Asking won’t get you anywhere. Of course, I believe your scatterbrain can’t comprehend my plans for you.”
Abliging to Midnight, Sunset actually remained quiet. She is right, though. It’s not like talking or acting tough, for that matter, will get her to confess. Even then, it’s better that Sunset doesn’t know about it.
Not that it matters, since it’s going to happen anyways.
Sunset waits in anticipation, hoping that Midnight doesn’t do anything to her friends. It’s such horrid that she can’t do anything at this point. Even though they are just meters away from each other, she still can’t help them avoid the threat of Midnight. It makes her feel worthless, in a way.
‘Being friends, takes a tool. ’, she thought.
Your expected to go with them through thick and thin, helping each other out in the most brilliant and fascinating ways. Your expected to be with them forever, and will always be with them, no matter what. Breaking that taboo is always a pain that you will never forget, and Sunset experiences this in a very big magnitude.
They saved her from her greed.
Her lust.
Her anger.
They accepted her for what she is. Even though she tried to destroy them all.
She thought she couldn’t pay them back down for what she did, but it turns out, she doesn’t have to.
The only exception, being loyalty.
To protect them.
Stay with them.
Until the ends of time.
Turns out she just couldn’t do it.
She couldn’t defend them.
She couldn’t stay with them.
She couldn’t be loyal.
Even to the people that showed her the light of friendship.
The light that punctuated the darkness inside of her, way back at the Fall Formal.
She couldn’t do the thing she swore to do.
The only thing she ever swore to do.
Suddenly, her eyes started to become foggy, and a bit hazy. She felt a tear coming out of her eyes, essentially running down her soft, yellow cheeks. Too bad she couldn’t wipe them of, though. She expected herself to cry, but not in such a tremendously antagonistic way. She stares at Midnight, who is still looking at her friends.
Silence fills the void as they both say no sentences at all. They didn’t have anything to say. It was pretty obvious nobody wants too, the only exception being Midnight, who will obviously tantalise Sunset, if she dare say a word. This silence is shut down though, as Midnight begins to speak up.
“You know what, Sunset? I haven’t even shown you a demonstration yet. Apologies.”
‘.......what? ’ Sunset thought.
“You see, when time itself stops to a hault, nothing can respond. They remain still, held back by the effects. However, when time begins to resurface.....” Midnight says, while gazing over at Sunset, all before going over straight to Twilight, who’s expression was a joyous one, smiling over to her friends. Midnight, however, doesn’t give a damn, and gives a straight jab to Twilight’s stomach, using her arms. Sunset was furious, attempting to break free. All until she realises Twilight didn’t even flinch, and still held her smile. She was relieved, and her anger quickly seized.
Until it resurfaces, of course. Which wouldn’t take very long.
“See for yourself.” Midnight says, holding her hand up.
Snap.
All of a sudden, colours began to form back, as the world Sunset saw was now filled with brightness. She glances over to the CHS building, which gradually regained its signature red paint. She was on cloud nine, and Midnight knows this. But, for some reason, all of the students didn’t seem to notice Midnight, or Sunset, for that matter.
Screams.
It was from their friends, and Sunset was quick to realize. She looked over at the 4, and saw Twilight, lying down on the ground, either unconscious, or otherwise, she couldn’t tell. They all look over at Twilight, inspecting her, in case she was seriously injured. Twilight immediately got back up, and her smile from before turned all the way upside down.
They saw Midnight, right in front of their eyes. Twilight was the most surprised, technically weirded out by how she was back, just after her defeat. They all give sturdy faces towards her, but Midnight replies with a not so generous smile.
“Midnig-“ Twilight says, before Midnight raised her hand once again.
Snap.
The colours began to fade back, and the girls remain in the positions they were previously in. They didn’t move, not even a flinch, but Sunset expected this already.
Looks like her demonstration sorted things out.
Sunset was getting a little bit scared now. With this, not only she can stop time, but warp it according to her choosing? That isn’t just unfair. That was deadly. She turned her eyes over to Midnight, who seemed to be enjoying the view of the frozen 4. In a way, Sunset doesn’t blame her. With this much magic, who wouldn’t have stopped to enjoy it?
“Now Sunset...”
“...the real fun begins.”
“Now lets choose, shall we?”
Sunset gives a loud grunt over to Midnight, but being the villian she is, she doesn’t care. All that she does care was her revenge.
Her sweet, sweet revenge for what she did to her.
In a way, it seemed like it was fair.
To another standpoint, it doesn’t.
She begins to lift her hand once again, but instead leaves it at RD, pointing at her.
“Eenie.”
“Mini.”
“Minnie.”
“You. ”

‘Rarity. ’
That’s where her finger rested on.
That’s when fate was revealed.
Fate that will ultimately devastate her.
Sunset, even though knowing her friend is about to die in the hands of Midnight, thought lf something. Something that she should’ve thought of a while ago. Just, what is her intent? Sure, she wants revenge on her defeat, but if she wanted it, she would killed her first. Knowing that this is the realm of the mind, she won’t really kill her, much less in reality.
But, whatever it is, she must stop her from Rarity. That’s evident. Midnight was quite surprised in Rarity, as she says it herself.
“Huh. Generosity.”
This made Sunset pissed. In what right does she have to say her friend like a tool rather than a friend? She states of Rarity’s Element like it was something everybody used, everybody sees, but doesn’t appreciate. She gives of her a small stutter, as Midnight glances over at Sunset.
“Don’t you dare.“ she says. That was the only thing she could do. She couldn’t attack her, due to the chains that forbid her doing so. She can’t run, nor can she defend Rarity. Taunting is her last move. Not that it would ammount to anything.
But she must’ve done something , right?
“Oh, Sunset. Even after all this time, you still refuse.”
She walks straight ahead towards Rarity, all while giving Sunset a offset smile. She glances over to Rarity, and seemingly inspects her. Who would’ve thought a being like Midnight took the time to appreciate somebody’s work? Nevertheless, it was bewildering. But Sunset didn’t give a damn. Afterwards, was her death, and that’s what’s important.
After quite the time, she took a step back from Rarity, and immediately, her hands began to emit. Strange light came out of Midnight’s hands, practically feeding on her. Sunset, however, wasn’t surprised. She had already did this before, and she sure knows what happens next. Out of thin air, Midnight has created a concentration of magic, fit to kill .
And she already has the target.
“Now, Sunset, any last words, to your precious fashionista?”
She grinned. She wanted to say something . Anything. Anything that would add amount to her. Anything that would be the last words. But, she couldn’t.
Hell, she can’t.
Or rather, she wouldn’t.
Saying anything at this point is only going to make her death way more gruesome, vivid and horrifying, and that’s the last thing she ever wants. She doesn’t want to let go of Rarity, but it seems like that is her soon to be fate. There’s simply no substitute, yes, but right now, the only thing she can do, is minimise the pain.
Besides, this is a dream, so it’s likely she will ever die.
‘But if this is a dream, than why is it so real? ’
She decided to let go of that thought. She didn’t want Midnight to tap into her mind again, after all. And so, she stayed quiet, and gazed over towards Midnight in a ferocious grin. She didn’t react. Well, all except for a little smile, that popped out of her.
Not the reaction she was looking for, but a reaction nonetheless.
“I take that as a no.”
As soon as those words came out of her mouth, she turned over to the frozen Rarity, who was practically meters away. She raised her hand, chest level, which the emitting light was. The ball like concentration glowed and shined, so blindly that Sunset had to shut her eyes. She tried to block the light with her hands, but this was a nay.
After defeat, this was the thing Midnight was waiting.
This was the moment.
The first of them all.
The first, before many more to come.
“Now, behold.”
The concentration became much bigger, probably double the original size. This, in fact, got Midnight laughing. Death, and magic, overall, suits her, and this was clearly evident.
She stood in silence, before 2 words spilled from her mouth.
“My devine. ”
“NO!!” she retaliated. But to her dread, it was to late.
And so, the orb was released, travelling towards Rarity, in light speed.
Impact.
Pain.
Explosion.
These words perfectly describe what happened. The orb had hit Rarity right in the chest, and it had exploded, releasing magic in such a degree, even Sunset was amazed. Rarity, on the other hand, didn’t even flinch.
Not that it mattered. In a matter of a snap, time will come back to life.
But not her.
Sunset felt a magnitude of sorrow fill her to the brim. She had just lost her friend. Her best friend. Her guideline to friendship.
Her bridge between despair and happiness.
She screamed violently, as she begins to violently try to break free from the shackles Midnight has captured her on.
“RARITY!!”
No response, neither from Midnight nor the frozen girls. She was mad. She began to lift up her arms, shaking violently, and other things, all in an attempt to go over to her soon to be dead friend.
Scratch that. Soon to be was now.
Snap.
Once again, colours begin to emerge, and time itself has begin to come back to life again.
For a second, came a loud scream, followed by a thud. It came from the 5 girls, all of whom where knocked back quiet the distance, probably by the blast. All of them got up quickly, and brushed off some dust that was due to the knockback.
Sure they got up.
One of them didn’t live up to that, however.
They rushed over to Rarity, technically ignorant of Sunset’s existence. Their faces were full of shock and anticipation, as they make their way to their precious friend. They tried to do everything in their power to wake her up, but it was no use. They whimpered on for what seems like forever, looking down on their dead friend.
With Sunset being damn right useless. She’s still restrained, and from the looks of it, nobody is going to help her.
Not that it matters.
She’s already declared her death, inside her soul.
At least, she wished she had.
Oh, how unvalid did Sunset think she was. She couldn’t do anything . Not even get recognition. She was done for. For what she is, not repaying the gift that was given by them? It was simply horrible to think about it.
Sunset bursts into tears,gazing over at Rarity, and the other 4, seemingly doing the same. Fluttershy held her breath, and sticked up two fingers towards her lump body, aiming for the neck, in need of a pulse.
No shit it wasn’t there.
She immediately help her hands to her mouth, closing it, all the while letting her eyes flow. They continued to shake the motionless body, just waiting to get a reaction. But after time and time again, there wasn’t. Midnight, however, was enjoying this. She laughed as hard as she can, with her eyes seemingly watering, due to the joy of death and sadness.
Was this what she planned all along? To torture Sunset and her friends, killing them off, one by one? Letting them grief up on their dead friends, before they experience their version fo the inevitable? To Sunset, it seems just, too unfair.
Too unfair to deserve the right to be thought of.
They continued to cry, as emotions and happy memories flood inside their heads. They remembered the good old days, but now, it’s unfortunate for them, not being able to create new ones, but instead, relish.
Snap.
The scene went back to the usual grey, and Sunset caught up with it. Even though her eyes and cheeks were watering like hell, she still knew about the abrupt time freeze. Of course, she took this to her advantage.
“F-Fuck you! Do you know what the fuck you just did to her!?”
“Calm down, now, Sunset. That’s just the first. We’re not even close to fini-“ she said, in a lighthearted manner, before Sunset shut her down.
“THERE IS NO FIRST! THIS IS THE LAST!” she screamed, all the while tried to rush over to Midnight, but failed miserably, due to the restraints. Midnight just brushed it off, laughing and gagging at Sunset’s poor effort.
“You know what? I have an idea.”
“But of course, your not gonna like it.”
“Just what are you thinkin-“
And her mind completely goes black.

Deception
“Sunset.....”
The voice continued to call out her name once more.
“Sunset....”
Sunset had heard it, but she’s too tired to react, right now. She felt like her hands were heavy as hell, and her eyes seemingly closed shut. But then again, she did want to get up, it’s just that she can’t.
“Sunset!”
‘Wait. It’s like I know this voice, but I can’t put my finger on it. Think, brain, think! ’
“Sunset! Wake up!”
Immediately, she jumped out of her lavender pink bed, screaming and gagging loudly. She opened her eyes, only to see Rainbow Dash, wearing her usual outfit, topped off with a tracksuit. She wanted to question her about her geode,which was missing from her neck, but she decided to brush it off. Maybe she left it at home? Who knows.
“Mind telling me just what was your reason waking me up? And just how did you get in here?” she murmured.
“Seriously, Sunset? You said you wanted to see the new Daring Do movie with me! How did you forget that? And besdes, everybody knows where you hide your keys outside.”
She thought back to the last time she talked with Rainbow Dash. It didn’t seem to far back, probably a day or to before her unexpected arrival at her house. To her, it wasn’t anything that particularly something she remembered, since they hang out almost every day.
‘Did she wanted to see the knew movie? ’
‘Wait, no. Cut that. Is there a new movie coming out? Rainbow didn’t tell me about it or anything. ’
She paused for a brief moment, thinking about her mentioning the movie. She rushes over to grab her phone, and opened up Google. Since she can’t remember anything about the movie, She searched it online, and there it was, the new Daring Do movie. She slaps her forehead, in utter embarrassment.
“Ooooh. Yeah, sorry Rainbow. I forgot about it.”
She waved up in the air, signalling her care.
“Nah, it’s alright. Hey, at least you can make it there.”
This got Sunset’s curiosity to stir.
“Wait, what about the others?”
“Twilight, AJ, Pinkie, Rarity, all of them got something they have to do over the weekend. Guess it’s just you and me, huh?”
Wait. One of those rings a bell, but she can’t quite put her finger on it yet.
Rarity.
But why is it so important? She can’t remember why, but just hearing her friends name being called out loud makes her shiver. Not a lot, but it was present. She thought of it as placebo and just went on without it.
“Forgot to ask.”
“Hmm?” Rainbow replied.
“No homo?”
She smiled over to Sunset, and immediately bursts into laughter.
“No homo.”
“Lemme just take a shower, then we’ll go. You can stay at the living room if you want.”
“Fine then.”
And so, Sunset grabbed her towel and went straight to the showers. She stripped off her remaining clothing and hopped in, feeling the hor water drizzle above her. Since her friend was waiting, she didn’t take long.
While she was in there, she thought to herself. Was there something she was supposed to remember? She can’t quite understand just what it is that’s so important, but it feels like it’s a must. She needs to remember it. Whatever it means.
‘Was it something tragic? Memorable? Insatiable? I just, can’t get it on the tip of my fingers. ’
‘Is there even supposed to be something that I should remember, or at least, try to? ’ Sure, she tried, but to no avail. There was just nothing to grasp on, but yet, Sunset still feels something’s wrong.
In a way, she’s damn right.
Once done with ‘long’ shower, making her way to change her clothes to a more suitable and casual one, they were now set and ready to go to the movies. Sunset grabs her keys, which was placed at the glass tabletop nicely by RD. She scopped it up, and instead of putting it in the original location, it was fitted inside her pocket.
“Can’t let anyone break in that fast, can it?”
Both of them laugh it off, and went straight to the theaters, driving.
“Y’know, you do need to pay me back afterwards, okay?” Sunset exclaims, not leaving her eyes off the road.
RD raises an eyebrow, questioned.
“What for?”
“One flat barren word.”
“And that is...?”
“Gas. ”
She pushes Sunset just the slightest bit, but still made her temper rise.
“Rainbow, what the hell? I’m driving!”
“Me being the youngest in the group, and you think I can afford gas? I barely had enough money for this movie!”
Forcefully making her temper deplete, Sunset lets out a small sigh and smiles at RD, figuratively.
“Fine then.”
Once arriving at their destination, they got out of the car, and RD begins to leap in joy.
“Oh, man, I can’t wait for this!”
Sunset, seeing the overly excited RD, decides to tease her just the slightest bit. She glances at the available movies, which were displayed at the front of the theaters, for the whole world to see, and chooses a random one. Once she made her decision, she rushes over to the counter, giggling at her actions.
“Two tickets for-“
And a terrible scream fills the ears of Sunset. She takes a glimpse at the cause and the one making the horifying screech. As it turns out, not to far. It was caused by a pedestrian, gazing over Rainbow Dash’s chest in sheer shock and disbelief. Sunset followed suit too, and took peek at her stomach. From her peripheral vision, it seemed that something was off, and she was damn right.
A knife was sticking out of her.
She was frozen still, and didn’t even flinch the tiniest bit, the only exception being gurgles coming out from her mouth as she received waves of pain flowing throughout her entire system, shutting down everything except the existence of the knife, and the terror that comes with it. Blood spatters out from the mouth of the gurgling woman as she begins to topple down, not for collapsing, but for the sentence of her life.
Sunset, stood in silence. She’s still trying to process just what the hell had happened. Who did this? There was nobody who was at the back of her, needless to say. Nobody can throw a knife that accurately, so it must be somebody. But who?Soon enough, she came to her senses and rushed towards the bleeding body.
She holds Rainbow Dash’s right arm, squeezing it tight and snug. There was one thing missing, however. The general heat that she had. It was no more. Her hands were a little bit more stiff, and cold to the touch. She knew what has already happened. Once the body has lost it’s soul, the brain shuts down, and all life inside too. It will take a slow process, but slowly but steadily, her body will decompose. Not to mention her body stiffening and her body becoming more cold than usual.
She screams in agony, bead after bead of tears flow from the top, and down to the blood soaked asphalt below. While this was happening, she sensed a strange lingering sensation, like a pulse of some sort. She had felt this before, and knew just who this person was.
“Just look at you. Pathetic.”
She gives out a bloodhound look, and stands tall on her two feet. Midnight, however, not even touching the ground, but instead gliding with her wings.
“What are you gonna do? Throw a rock or something?”
“Maybe teach you a lesson. Or. Two.”
“I’ll say otherwise.”
And with a snap coming from her own fingers, the world faded to black.
