When Rainbow and her parents returned home, Rainbow asked a similar question that Soarin had.

Rainbow's dad said that love is a connection between two ponies and the admiration of the other. "The relationship between me and your mother is an example of what love is, when I was in high school, I met your mother there, we started dating, I proposed to her, she said yes, and I married her" said Rainbow's dad.

"Hey mom, what are you making," said Soarin.

"Well, I'm making a favorite dessert for my favorite little sweet colt, apple pie," said Soarin's mom.

"Wow, mommy, you're the best," said Soarin.

"Honey, what are you doing," said Soarin's dad,

"Well I'm making dessert." said Soarin's mom.

"Where did you get the recipe from?" said Soarin's dad.

"I got it the recipe from Sweet Apple Acres down in Ponyville. Oh, the pie is ready, I'm going to take it out of the oven." said Soarin's mom.

"Ponyville?" said Soarin's dad.

"I bought groceries over there and Soarin's birthday is in a week" said Soarin's Mom.

"Should we start a party for our son's birthday?" said Soarin's dad.

"Yes, we should and we could invite his friends." said Soarin's Mom.

"Where should we have the party?" said Soarin's dad.

"I think we should have the party at Sugarcube Corner." said his mom.
