I noticed, there is no stories about that past dragon lord from "The Hearth's Warming Club" so I decided, to make him more important.

Telling about the past life
"Twilight? Do you really remember your previous lifes?" purple dragon asked with a confused smile, sitting on her bed.
The purple mare sighed.
"Yes … I remember ... most of them … Alicorns like me have such visions like this "
"That's amazing!" he smiled wider. "Can you tell me what creatures you were?"
"I was … a female earth pony, female civilian griffon, male changeling soldier, butterfly and … " Twilight became silent.
"And what?" Spike looked at his mentor, expecting an answer. "Twilight, please don't be afraid… "
"But Spike!" she looked at him, trying to avoid the answer.
"No buts!" he put a finger to her lips "Just tell me about your recent reincarnation"
"I … I … I was a dragon lord" she just looked at his face, where the shock came.
The little dragon just stared at her with shock.
"Twilight ... T-that ... t-that ... THIS IS MORE THAN AMAZING! THIS IS AWESOME!!!"
"Spike, you do not understand what I was going through with this memory!" she shaked. "It's because of my previous life I brought shame and disgrace to your race and family"
"So tell me about, it what you have done" he raised his eyebrow, but he kept his smile.
Twilight bited her lips, and looked at him.
"Fine… But then do not say I did not warn you... Deal?"
"DEAL!"
Dragon Lord Gaius despite its serious appearance, was a good but a very naive ruler. He shared almost everything with his subjects.
His hard-earned money…
His very rare kinds of gems...
And the most important of all…
His own house…
This day was very important for him, Gaius was preparing to celebrate with his subjects holiday called "The Feast of Fire". The fun during this holiday consisted in the fact that each of his subjects invented the most exciting story, and a winner collected a handful of gems for it. As usual during preparations, Gaius sat in the throne room, watching as the smaller dragons hang decorations and fly around him. He always held his glowing Bloodstone scepter in his left claw. Sometimes his behavior was very strange, it showed that he never wanted to drop his scepter from the eye.
He even walked with the scepter to the toilet.
He won this throne in an honest way. It would be a shame if someone stole it from him.
"M-my lord?" one of his subjects bowed to him.
"What is it?" Gaius asked with a calm tone.
"Can your highness investigate that mountain in the wilderness? It seems to be suspicious for me"
"But it's rainy out there" he raised his eyebrow "So why do not you go there yourself?"
"M-my lord" he looked back "You're bigger than us … You can investigate this mountain easily, while we are size of ponies, and weak"
Gaius after being silent, finally nodded.
"Ok ... but will you continue to prepare?"
"Yes my lord" subject bowed again, and stepped back.
Dragon Lord Gaius was still flying towards the already mentioned mountain, doubting that whatever he finds there.When he finally arrived he sniffed at the large fossil for a moment.
"NOPE ... No gems ... " he thought to himself.
Without giving up, he started circling it in the hope of finding something.
"Still nothing"
Gaius turned irritably towards his home, but when he was about to leave ...
HE HEARD A FOOTSTEPS, ON THE TOP.
"What the?" He flew higher.
Higher...
Higher...
Finally, he was there. A small pink dragon appeared to his eyes. A female. She had cyan eyes and small yellow sharped antlers, She stepped back.
"Please don't hurt me Dragon Lord ... I didn't knew it was your mountain" she was terrified of his muscular appearance.
"What are you doing here?" surprise appeared on his face "Should not you be at your home?"
"I ... " she looked on ground. "I used to have a home ... But now I only have this mountain ... "
"What's your name?" he asked her with pity in his voice.
"Scales" she just answered, trying to hide her fear.
"My name is Gaius ... nice to meet you Scales" he smiled "I invite you to Feast of Fire. Will you join?"
He just offered her a claw.
Scales smiled, and grabbed his claw.
"Of course I will sir. Gaius" she smiled wider.
They both dissapeared in the rain holding each other claws.
"Alright everyscaly, it's time to start The Feast of Fire!" Gaius hissed, and looked at Scales,
She was eating gems he gave her, as she looked at him with a full mouth.
"Ok. I'm listening" she smiled, trying not to cough with full mouth.
"Like I said ... Have you managed to come up with an interesting story?" he ate his red crystal."Rules are simple ... if one of you create an very interesting story ... You will win claw of gems from me"
"I think I should start" dark blue dragon with dark green color scales smiled and began to speak. "It was like that"
Scales was just staring at Gaius' scepter with a smirk.
"I NEED TO HAVE IT! I WANT TO BE A LORD LIKE HIM!" she cannot control her emotions and screamed furiously.
Before he looked, Gaius lost sight of his scepter, hearing the terrible screams of his subjects who were dying, caused the power it had.
The Dragon Lord Gaius woke up in a the ruins of his house that he had stood there a moment ago. His stomach was bleeding, and he felt how life escaped him. He saw Scales flying around him. She was maniacally laughing, applying Scepter's power to her.
"NO!" Gaius for the last time with tears in his eyes, looked at his scepter. "S-Scales? W-why d-did you do that?"
"Let's be honest ... " the pink dragoness tapped her chin "Why do I need friendship if I can be a Dragon Lord?" she laughed.
"B-but this is unfair" he coughed with blood. "We should fight for it and not take it"
"I'm not going to disfigure myself for a scepter" she became angry "I DESERVED THAT SCEPTER!"
The pink dragoness saw Gaius bleed.
"It looks like you do not have much time left ... I feel sorry for your parents that they had such a naive dragon like you in the family"
After those words she floated away.
The dark-purple dragon looked at the ruins of his castle for the last time, then took his heavy breath, before falling asleep.
"He is so beautiful" One of the male earth ponieś from the crowd looked at the imprisoned wounded dragon.
"There is no time for compliments" one female pegasus tried to free him. "We need to release him or he'll bleed out"
"This is a monster ... I do not want to become his food" another unicorn colt stepped back.
"Dragons only eat gems silly" His mother smiled to her son.
Gaius slowly opened his eyes, unintentionally attracting attention from the crowd.
"W-what is … happening?" he whispered, and tried to get up.
"Please, just rest on your belly" some pegasi tried to calm him down.
"Scales… I NEED TO STOP HER!" he finally remembered.
Ponies ignored his begging, when they finally released him.
"You must be healed, and we know who can help you"
"What about my subjects? WHAT HAPPENED TO THEM!?" Gaius looked around in hope somescaly survived this explosion.
"You mean those dead dragons, were your subjects? … You … You were a Lord?" unicorn mare asked.
Pegasus slowly picked up the wounded dragon and began to wave their wings.
"Where am I going?" Gaius asked.
"We are going to the Canterlot. There is somepony who can take care of you"
"I'm ... I'm sorry Twilight ... I didn't knew you had such hard life like that" he spoke with shame in his voice.
"It's okay" she gently scratched his head. "I think you should go talk to Smolder about it"
"I'm afraid of her reaction, when she will hear about it"
"Don't worry ... Everypony have past lifes" she smiled sadly.
"Wait … what about rest of your story?" he asked.
