Hello, nice to meet you. My name's Black Bolt. I'm not much of a talker though. I'm just your average pegasus, working short days and sleeping long nights. Sometimes on Fridays I'll relax to a nice apple cider, but other than that, I'm just your average overlooked pony. I do have one hobby though, and that's flying. I often do these things called "Boomerang Booms", where I loop around and all you hear is a boom with some dark clouds. No one really likes them because they are overlooked by Rainbow Dash's Sonic Rainbooms. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention. Rainbow Dash and I are good friends. We met in flight school, and have been friends ever since. I kinda do have a crush on her, but I'm pretty sure I'll be rejected straight away if I ask her out. But, that's just a snip of my life. But now we get to "that" day. That horrible nightmare....... It was a normal Friday. It was after work, so Rainbow and I were just fooling around, just casually flying. Nothing too interesting. But suddenly out of nowhere, Applejack asks for some help. "Heya Rainbow, I'm in needin' of some help. Couldja deliver these here apples to Flutters? She's been askin' for em' since yesterday. I'd deliver them mahself, but Big Macintosh and all the rest of tha family are helpin' buckin apples!" "Nah, I'm kinda busy. Do you mind doin 'em, Black?" Rainbow replied. "Why sure, why shouldn't I?" I responded gleefully. I picked up the sack of apples and headed over to Fluttershy's house. I knocked on the door casually. "Um, oh hello.." Fluttershy murmured out. "Oh, hey. Applejack said you needed these apples?" I said. Fluttershy responded with a quiet "Yes" and I came in and I carefully placed the sack of apples on her table. "Oh, um, thank you. Is there anything I could do to help you? I have got a nice flower salad ready," Fluttershy asked me. "Oh, why that would be wonderful!" I said cheerfully and sat down on a seat. Fluttershy gave me a plate with all sorts of delicious flowers. I paciently waited for Fluttershy to sit down before I started eating. After I finished all of it, I responded with a simple "Thank you" and I headed out. By now it was really dark out, so I started gliding to my house. I made a bit of a pit stop near the Everfree Forest, but I noticed something in the bushes. It was the size of a pony, but it couldn't be a real pony. Who would go into the Everfree Forest at this time of night? I took a bit of a glance over to see what it was, and I couldn't quite work out what it was. It looked like it was digging, so I left it alone and I just gracefully glided home and fell asleep. But what iI saw kept me up most of the night. What was it? I drew several sketches, and decided tomorrow night I would look for it. But, by now I was very tired, so I just tried to sleep. I woke up to a certain cyan pony looking directly into my eyes. The result is that I clumsily kick off my sheets and get in a fighting stance. "WHAT DO YOU WANT!!!" I scream at her but then suddenly realized that it was Rainbow Dash. "Oh, sorry. You scared me." I calmly say to her. "Nah, it's okay." she says to me. "So, what are you doing here?" I ask her. "Nothin' much, just waiting FOR YOU TO GET UP AND HELP ME TRAIN FOR THE WONDERBOLTS!!!!!!!!!!!!" she shouts at me. I fall over. "Woah, I'm sorry, it's just, I saw something after I came back home from Fluttershy's house. It kept me up all night." I mention to her. "What was it?" she asks. That was one of the strangest parts of that day, she's just been known to be a bragger. "I drew some sketches of what I saw." I point towards my pile of scattered pencils and papers laying on my desk. She goes through them. "Woah, is that Gilda?" she questions. "Who's Gilda?" I ask her. "She was a friend of mine in Flight School. She's a griffion." She quietly replies. "She left after I heard about the way she was treating Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy..." What was strange about this is that this the only time she has been sad. "Oh, okay..." I spoke in soft words. "I'll be ready soon." I walked into the bathroom and took a quick shower before I looked out to see Rainbow Dash crying. "Not again...." she quietly muttered. I didn't know what happened before, but it must of been horrible if she was crying. I quickly dried my mane and hopped out. I looked out the window quickly and saw 2 things of interest. 1 was Pinkie Pie dating a stallion, which was weird in itself. He looked like a war veteran or something, but he was still fairly young. Wait, wasn't she supposed to be on that "Save the Human Race" project or something? But I saw this pony with a black notebook, which was of interest to me. I didn't know what it exactly was, but I just decided to leave it alone. I came up to Rainbow Dash and saw her crying. I pretended I didn't see her before, but I just started hugging her. "What's wrong?" I gently asked her. "Years before I met you and I was still in Flight School, Gilda did something...... weird. She dug a hole and not long after, someone who I was best friends with and possibly liked in a romantic kind of way disappeared out of nowhere." she explained to me. I gently hugged her. "It's okay..... everything will be fine." I silently said to her. But wait, if she was crying because she lost someone she loved when she was in flight school, does that mean she loves.... me? No, it would be impossible. She's never loved anyone! "So, are you ready to train for the Wonderbolts?" I asked her. ".... I don't want to train today. I just want to relax today." she murmured to me. "Okay, just come back here if you still want to train." But before she could hear the end of it, she bolted away, out of sight. RevelationsChapter 3: Revelations (Both POV's) "Love is like a fire. One spark can set it alight, one drop can end it all." (Black Bolt's POV) Hahaha. Dash and I were rolling around on a hill just outside of Ponyville, giggling and laughing. I just fell over one of Pinkie Pie's hidden party cannons, and Dash called it an "Epic fail". But anyways, we were just rolling and laughing, having some fun, then I saw what Dash said was Gilda, right at the corner of my eye, giving me an evil stare. I just looked away and Dash and I stopped giggling. "Man, that was sooo funny!" Dash chuckled to me. "Yeah. I didn't know Pinkie Pie hid party cannons!" I replied back, still giggling a little bit. I looked over and I still saw Gilda, just intensely staring at me, with that same angry look. (Dash's POV) I noticed Black Bolt just staring at something, I decided to see what it was. I looked over, and he was staring at a blank space. Strange. "Why were you just staring at that big dumb space?" I ask him. "I swear I just saw Gilda...." he ponders at me. "Nah. What would she be doing in Ponyville at 7:30?" I reply to him. "I don't know, but she was giving me this intense look...." he slowly mutters. "Hmm, nah. She was probably looking at someone else." I shot back at him. I didn't want him to know what I heard from her. "Okay, seems reasonable." he said to me. Phew, I don't want to stress him out. (Black Bolt's POV) There's no way what she said was genuine. NO WAY. I know she's trying to look out for me; wait what? What am I saying? She's looking out for me? I should just come clean about my love for her. But what if she rejects me? Oh, I should just tell her. No, I can't! Why is this tearing me apart! Whilst I was arguing with myself, 1 minute had passed. I finally decided I would confess my love for her. I was trembling in fear on the inside. I silently cleared my throat, and I started to speak. "R....Rainbow Dash....." "Yeah? "......I love you......" RomanceChapter 4: Romance (3 POV's) (Black Bolt's POV) I shuddered, and shuddered, and shuddered, anxious for a reply. I was expecting a hoof or a wing in the face, but instead..... (Rainbow Dash's POV) ....I gave him a kiss, right on the lips. (Black Bolt's POV) I blushed 69 different shades of red, all at once. She actually LOVED me? This, this..... it seemed like a dream. I always thought she had someone else special, but ME? Out of all pegasi, unicorns and ponies? I felt like a Wonderbolt. Living their dreams. I didn't expect this, so when she kissed me, I started rolling down the hill. "WOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" I screamed out. "Hehehehe! YOU are a CRACKUP Black Bolt!" Rainbow giggled at me. I fell into one of the bushes and hit my head on a rock. "Aaagh...." I scream out in pain. I turned around, and guess who it was - It was Tom. "Oh my, what has happened here?" said a certain white pony with a blue azure mane. It was Rarity. "Hello there Rarity! I fell down the hill and bumped into Tom, that's what happened." I told her. "Alrighty than. Well, I just came here to give Tom his dinner. It's 8:30, you know," Rarity replied with a smile on her face. "OH HI RARITY!!!!" Rainbow shouted from atop the hill. "Hello there dear Rainbow Dash. Pleasure seeing you here!" Rarity replied. "You too!" Rainbow said, confused at what Rarity said. Rarity walked over to Tom with a small amount of feed in her hands. "It's getting late you two, why don't you go to bed?" Rarity questioned, cocking her head to a 45 degree angle. "Oh, we didn't realize it was so late." I mentioned. "We'll be heading to bed soon." Rarity walked back down the hill to where Ponyville is, just casually trotting along. I flew back up to Rainbow Dash. "So.... do you actually love me back?" I muttered, still anxious as all hell. ".....yes....." Rainbow Dash spoke with words soft as velvet. (???'s POV) "So it's confirmed, guys. Rainbow Dash and Black Bolt are a couple." I said to the 2 colts standing behind me, who were Snips and Snails. "But...but how can you be so sure, Gilda?" Snips asked me. "My secret weapon: Wire taps. I placed one on Rainbow Dash's wing before she left to go meet her boyfriend." I respond to Snips. "But isn't that illegal?" Snips and Snails said in unison. "Not if they don't know." I smirked evilly. (BB's POV) I swear, at that time, I thought it was too good to be true. She loves me? Naw, I'm just dreaming. Or am I? WHY AM I CONFLICTING WITH MYSELF! "So.. um... do you want to go on a date Friday night?" I asked with loads of anxiety on me. "Sure!" Rainbow responded gleefully. "Where at?" "I was thinking maybe a Wonderbolts race or something? I've got All-access passes to the 6:30 showcase.." I said, knowing what her reaction would be. And sure enough, it was... "OHMYGODOHMYGODOHMYGODOHMYGODOHMYGODOHMYGOD BUCK YES!" Rainbow screamed at me. It was so loud I tumbled down the hill again, but this time, I didn't hit Tom. Rainbow just snickered at me. "Say, it's getting late, do you want me to drop you off?" I said with confidence. "Okay, sure." She replied. We left the hill and glided over to her house. "See you tomorrow Rainbow Dash!" I said to her before opening her door. "Oh, and one more thing......" Rainbow Dash replied. She kissed me again, right on the lips. I know what I'll be dreaming about tonight. IgnoranceChapter 2: Ignorance (Dash's POV) "If you never give up, you cannot fail." I bolted iver to the edge of the Everfree Forest, knowing my mission. I looked over at all the intense shrubbery, and noticed the place where Black Bolt said he saw Gilda. I looked around near the bush, and- hey presto, there's the hole. I saw Gilda down the hole, like as if she was just coming up. "Heya Gilda. What are you doin'?" I assertively asked. "Nothing much, just diggin' a hole." Gilda replied, acting laid back. Surely there was something else in there! "What's in there?" I questioned. "Just a hole." Gilda replied, trying to cover up what was in there. "Oh really? Mind if I go down there?" I asked. I wanted to see what was down there! "It would be best if you don't. I really don't want you going down there." Gilda assured. "Gilda, cmon. We've been best friends since 7 years ago!" I told her. "No Rainbow Dash, you are NOT going down there!" Gilda started shouting. "WELL WHAT IF I WANT TO!" I screamed at her. "YOU REMEMBER WHAT YOU DID TO GLADES! I DON'T WANT THIS TO HAPPEND TO BLACK!" "WELL YOU ARE NOT!" Gilda screamed back and swiped her claws at me. I swiftly dodged them. "Now, you can either do this the easy way, or the hard way. The easy way, you walk away and everything is fine. The hard way, I knock you out and return you to your house, never to remember this hole." Gilda pressured on me. "This isn't over Gilda!" I shout at her and fly back to Black Bolt's house. "What happened? What did you do? I heard something like "I DON'T WANT THIS TO HAPPEN TO SOMEONE!" I didn't hear who the someone was, but I did hear that." Black Bolt questioned on me. "Ehehe, it was nothing." I tried to say, but I wasn't sure if he exactly bought it. "Oh, okay then." He replied with. He then did a mane flip because it was in his eyes, and it looked sexy. Things like that make me want to ask him out even more, but I'm not sure he even likes me, so that would be a risky move. "Do you still want to train?" He asked me. "Sure, why not?" The training drills we did were pretty basic. Mainly ones to do with speed and controll. It was pretty fun and we did have our fair share of crashes, which we giggled at. It was very fun for us. We both enjoyed it alot. By the time we stopped, it was 7:30pm. Pretty late, but hey, we don't work. At least not that often. But something happened on that day. We both enjoyed it alot. By the time we stopped, it was 7:30pm. Pretty late, but hey, we don't work. At least not that often. But something happened on that day.
