Jimmy Hook was spending a rather hectic day, like everyone else at Manteo, North Carolina.
The breaking news informed everyone about an awful event: the seismographs warned them about a possible earthquake, which would affect the small town. It didn't matter if it was a small town or a big city, the results would be terrifying one way or another.
Jimmy walked down the streets as he saw different things: some people entered inside shops for getting prepared, while others just stayed at their homes. Dogs were barking the whole time, making others feel nervous.
Among all the chaos, a woman carrying a box with a few things tripped over Jimmy, causing the box to fall down. She apologized as Jimmy helped her get everything back in the box, which she grabbed before going away.
Jimmy was going to continue walking but he saw something: there was a blue glove on the ground. He got it, looking at its plain design.
"Excuse me!" Jimmy called the woman. "Have you lost a blue glove?"
"Uh, that's not mine! Why?" She replied.
"Oh, nothing! Thanks for telling me!" Jimmy said, and the woman continued walking away.
He started thinking about the possibilities: since when was that glove on the ground? Was it from anyone at the town? Was anyone going to reclaim it?
"Well, until anyone calls for it, I suppose I could... wear it?" Jimmy said, doubting about it.
He put the glove on his right arm. For his surprise, the glove fitted to his arm perfecty.
"Wow... This is nice." He said. "Anyways, let's continue."
And he resumed his walk around the town.
A few hours later, everyone were back at their homes, as it was lunch time.
Jimmy Hook prepared some pizza for himself. When it was ready, he took it to the table on the dining room, sitting on a chair for eating the cheesy slices.
During the last few hours, his hair had grown longer, the brown strands of hair acquiring a moderate indigo tone.
Another unusual thing is that, as he ate the pizza, he had become extremely cautious for not getting his clothes dirty.
"Oh, dear. I cannot believe it! What is happening to me?" Jimmy said, looking at his reflection on a mirror.
First the earthquake and now that. The day was being interesting for Jimmy.
Later, on the afternoon, Jimmy was at the park. It seemed calm, and he was... sunbathing?
"Ah, I wish this was a beach." He said. His hair had fully changed its color to a moderate indigo, and his skin was starting to get a light sapphire bluish gray tone.
Then, after some minutes, everything started shaking and a tree collapsed. The earthquake had just begun!
Jimmy stood up and ran outside of the park as trees fell down. He could hear people screaming as they ran in different ways. One kid stared at Jimmy's current appearance, but he remembered the earthquake and continued running.
As Jimmy made his was across the town, he heard something else: someone screaming inside a house.
"HELP!! I'M TRAPPED!!"
It was a girl! Jimmy couldn't just stand still, ignoring that voice. He had to help her! But he also feared whatever the earthquake could do. So he stayed there, thinking...
Until...
"I am going to help her."
With those words, he entered inside the house.
It had been a while since Jimmy entered, and people were reuniting around the house he was in, waiting to see how everything would end. Two or three dared to say that the house would collapse, trapping Jimmy and whoever was inside.
Just a few seconds later, the walls started cracking until the entire estructure fell apart.
Everyone gasped as they stared at the house's remnants.
And suddenly, someone emerged from those remnants: a girl carrying another girl, which was supposed to be the house's owner. The mysterious girl looked gorgeous, and she was wearing a beautiful dress with high-heeled shoes which looked like they were made from gold and diamonds. Judging by her appearance, she didn't seem to have been affected by the earthquake.
"Sophie! Are you ok? Who's that girl carrying you?" A man asked.
"I think I can tell you all everything that happened." The mysterious girl replied.
Earlier, inside the house...
Jimmy was at the main hall looking around, trying to find the girl.
"Where are you!?" He yelled.
"At the living room!!" She replied.
When Jimmy was about to enter, a chunk from the ceiling fell down, and he had to jump backwards to avoid getting crushed, his glasses dropping.
"Dear God, this is terrible!" Jimmy said. One second later, he covered his mouth, having realized what had just happen.
"Has my voice... Wait, it has! It changed!" Jimmy exclaimed.
While he was busy freaking out, his body had already finished getting a light sapphire bluish gray tone, and it also changed physically, acquiring an hourglass shape as two certain details appeared on the front.
Her clothes also changed, the t-shirt and the short trousers merging together to form a dress, which got a blue and purple combination. And her sneakers turned into a pair of brilliant high-heeled shoes.
The other glove materialized on her other arm for completing the set while a golden tiara with a few diamonds appeared on her hair.
Finally, some golden accessory formed around her waist and a blue cape got attached to her neck.
As Rarity took another way for reaching the living room, her hair grew more, and a pair of pony ears emerged from it, on top of her head.
With the transformation having finished, Rarity entered the living room, and she found the girl on the floor, her feet trapped below a fallen shelf.
"Don't you worry more, darling. I have come to rescue you!" Rarity said.
"What happened with the guy? I swear I had heard a male." The girl asked.
"Uuuuh... He sprained his ankle and had to go away." Rarity answered.
"Oh, well..." The other girl said.
Using her magic, Rarity moved the shelf away, being able to carry the other girl.
"By the way, what's your name?" Rarity asked.
"I'm Sophie." The girl said.
"Well, don't worry, Sophie. Everything is going to be fine." Rarity replied, carrying Sophie.
As she said that, the house started breaking by the earthquake, until it finally collapsed. But Rarity managed to cover both of them under a diamond shield, protecting them against the falling debris.
They waited there for a minute. After getting out of the ruins, everyone was waiting for them.
With that, Rarity had told everything. People believed what she said (obviously, there wasn't anything that said the opposite), so they let her stay at the town. She also used her magic for repairing everything the earthquake left behind.
And, at one moment, her ears moved a bit.
"Oh, Twilight needs help!"
