Beyond the realm of mortals and immortals. A realm or maybe a reality that shouldn’t exist energy stirs. One that is far older than Celestia herself one older than discord. When reality didn’t exist when it wasn’t even an idea a concept. The energy shook the fabrics of reality. When it was about to break it stopped. An old being reached its full height its eyes began to glow. With power and wisdom and pain from god knows how long it’s lived. It began to speak in an old tongue. He knew what he needed to do.
Scootalo pov
“Where am I” I shouted
A figure appeared and spoke softly and said “there’s something I need to show you”
The world around me began to change wait how do I know this the world showed 2 Pegasi one with an orange body and a purple mane with tiny wings fangirling around a larger older Pegasus with a blue body and a rainbow mane the figure “said this is your future”
Gesturing to the purple maned Pegasus. He told me of the future and a danger. He said “I need to get 2 ponies to stop this threat I offer you a chance to help but you will have to suffer more”
I look to the now moving future. I spoke, “So I can help save the future but I’ll have to go through more pain?”
The voice spoke “Yes”
I said “I’ll do it
“Very well and I’ll be there every step of the way. I’ll help train you for the future. You can’t tell anyone until it happens.”
I nodded to the figure I could have sworn it smiled? It disappeared

That went well that time. Ah, time to see the next one I’m afraid. Hmm so much to do before it happens I only wish there was more time.
sunsets pov
There’s a dark empty void then a Draconis appears then it shifts into an alicorn then a cloaked humanoid figure I began to ask a question but he spoke first “I know you have questions, let me explain something first. Actually, I’ll show you” the void changed to a film I keenly watched as somepony lived their life and the emotional struggle and the power and greed. He spoke again and said “I can offer you the power and choice to help your friends. Though you will have to struggle more.”
“why would you give me this offer,” I asked
“someone has to help the others. You’ll have to work with someone else. I can train you for when it happens.”
I nodded he said, “very well good luck 2 things before I leave 1 you can’t tell anyone until it happens and 2 will visit your dreams and you will get to meet whos going to help you.”
??? POV
I was sitting in the silent void using the form of a fully grown alicorn actually Celestia isn’t fully grown. My coat was pitch black darker than nightmare moon and had bright white specs my horn sharper than a razor blade one wing the length my 10’ height I sat waiting for them. They appeared in the void the unicorn immediately asked “WHAT HAPPENED”
The pegasus flinched I calmly stated, " You were born you still have to live your life.”
She calmed down and nodded I said " You to will spend today hanging out and getting to know each other. Scootaloo you’re going to ‘live’ in a few years. I can train you a bit later”
They nodded and started talking about things
TIME SKIP 5 YEARS
Scootaloo pov
*flap* *flap* *flap* *flap* I’m sad that I can’t actually fly in the real world. Though I did learn proper flying maneuvers even some that haven’t been seen since 1000 years ago during the wars he’s said that the elites can’t do even Celestia would struggle to perform them. I still have a lot of improvements to make. It’s still slow and rough around the edges but I have a lot of time to improve. He stands there and yells up “Remember to feel the air don’t waste energy. You don’t have to and tuck your legs in. And use your weight to move”
I stop and close my eyes and I stop flapping my wings (he made them bigger than they would be so I can learn) so quickly and slow my wing beats. Feel the wind under my wings tucking my legs in allowing me to glide down at a steep 65 degrees to the earth then pull up getting higher up in the air than doing a barrel roll than making a hard 90 degree right in 2 seconds than land on the ground he says “24 seconds new record you wanna clean up? Shell be back soon”
I nod eagerly and flap off turning my wings to their normal size and hop on my scooter and buzz my wings off I quickly go to the shower. When I got back my best friend was there I raced over there and tackled her she laughed and nuzzled me said “I got accepted into being the princesses personal pupil”
We all laughed because there’s nothing she could teach us that he couldn’t teach us. He said, “just go with it we all have to keep up this act. Besides, I’m sure it will give some funny stories”
the unicorn laughed and said, “I’ll tell you later if there are any interesting incidents.”
I said, “I hope so, anyway how did the real world go?”
the unicorn said “So I may have hatched a Pheonix”
I jumped up and down flapping my wings excitedly " the entrance exam was to hatch this egg and I put magic in it and a bright light appeared when it faded a Pheonix appeared”
“Actually it was a dragon egg, the only difference is what hatches dragon parents would use dragon flame and Pheonix flame unicorn magic, in theory, could go either way the only difference is how much power any dragon can become a Pheonix with enough power.” commented offhandedly
“Really does that mean your superstrong” I exclaim excitedly
He nodded and threw a wing over the unicorns back and said: “That’s probably why she choose you.”
“I’m still kinda sad about what’s going to happen” The yellow pony sighs sadly
He chuckled and said " I know buddy.” putting a wing on her back “Anyways you wanna do some training I’m sure Scoots would like to show you her stunts.” he grins
the unicorn looks over and says “Yeah I got some cool tricks too”
We move to the flight arena that he made “Wait over five years we’ve never got your name”
he sighs “Do you truly want to know if you do life will be... Interesting”
pausing to let us think I turned to my young friend and we both nodded
Astro sighed heavily and said “very well my name is Astro Star”
After that declaration, the world rippled as if reality was breaking he raises a hoof and all the rippling disappears and he says “careful not to say my name if you don't have to my names have a lot of power. But you can just call me Astro it won't do that just don't use my whole name.”
we begin to laugh "Astro?" I call out nervously.
He laughs and flares his wings then falls on the floor. He stands up again he flaps his wings hovering in place. then shakes his head but points his hoof to the arena. Ohhh yeah, right showing of what I learned. My wings grew to the size of normal sized wings and flap into the air.
I grabbed some apples and then darted into the dark alleyways. I tightly held my wings to my body while slowly holding my wings tightly. I relax my wings and go to the little hut that I dug out. Once I'm in I stretch my small wings out in the relatively small wingspan. I take a bite eating my apple and relax curling around on the old rug I stole a few years ago. I climbed out and walked to and climbed up a tree and relaxed in its branches and looked to the stars. Suddenly I felt a warm pitch black wing on my back "Astro?" Inquired tiredly.
He asked, "Who else would it be?"
I laughed "Yeah yeah yeah what are you here for." I inquired
He set this horn up and all my scratches and cuts disappear "I know life hasn't been the best for you. I was hoping to have to do this later but now works just as well."He says softly "You know how I made you listen to all of her lessons right."
I nod he ignites his horn and then the light floats around me and wraps around me and then fades he looks at me expectantly and excitedly it takes a moment to realize what happened I say " this seems like a good time for a line break"
TIME SKIP
The large white alicorn glared at me as she yelled "You know as well as I that you don't have enough experience. Don't forget you went behind my back by studying not only black magic but chaos magic as well."
Sigh, why does this have to happen? you know full well why I'm not loving this ether. I, however, am your insufferable. What did I do? sorry, it was him. I take great offence to that! we all know you aren't offended
"YOU WHERE ALWAYS TRYING TO HOLD ME BACK I SAW MY DESTINY. HERE YOU ARE TRYING TO HOLD ME BACK!" I snarl with fake malice
she momentarily paused looking slightly guilty "and maybe that's my fault but I can't let you do this"
"you don't have a choice" I state
With that, I dart out of the throne room to the room with the mirror room and I turn back and smirk saying "I'll be back"
with that, I jump through the portal to the 'unknown world'
ah hello, earth I flexed my hand here comes the hard part manipulating everyone. First, I grabbed the gold bits. I observed what I was wearing after some thinking I decided it was good enough for the time being. I walked to the house and knocked on the door a tall man with glowing red and yellow eyes "Boss said you'd be here" he gave a wolfish grin
I walked past him and went to my other friend he chuckles warmly and says "Nice to see ya old pal as planned we have something to do. Sorry if I die of boredom though. I already have most of the paperwork."
I shake my head at him and we go to the school to sign up we walk into the office "Hello I'm here to register a new student." He says gesturing to me.
She looks to me and back to Astro and says "I'm glad you would like to enroll your child here"
He looks to me I nod quietly. The rest of the meeting goes by quickly and soon were walking back and he says "You know the plan I'll visit on once a week I'll send you money ever 3 months. okay?"
"Of course. Are we still doing the training?" I ask
"Yeah but you're taking a break for a while." he calmly replies
I nod fair enough we go back to the house "Hey guys"
"Hey teach" I comment
"Kido I got some news to tell ya" he yells happily
grabbing a whistled form nowhere grinning ear to ear literally "I get to be your guardian for a few years"
We both grin at each other Astro sighs and shakes his head at us. My newly revealed guardian moves his claw to the back of his head looking sheepishly.
Grr, she just screwed up my plans I knew I’d need that backup. thank Celestia made a backup. Wait what was that. There was a flicker of darkness it moved far faster than possible. Then I saw a form it was a pitch black alicorn with white specks. they disappeared and reappeared on his coat. I yelled, "WHO ARE YOU!"
He laughed and says "Your still a fool. I'll tell you guys my name when you need to know"
"Wait, guys?" I yell back with anger
"Yup guys what are you deaf," he says tiredly with a bored drawl
"Watch your tongue your in my place."I snarl putting a blade to his throat
All he does is a chuckle and shoves my blade lodging my blade into the ground. Then teleports away I try to trace his magical signature so I can find him and then interrogate him but I find nothing absolutely nothing seriously nothing. How can I know he's an alicorn but any alicorn can find any alicorn.
Twilight pov
groan why won't Celestia believe me about nightmare moon. I have a more important thing to do than making friends. Maybe she was right about it.
TIMESKIP
We're in the old castle trying to use these elements. Nightmare moon takes the elements my friends burst into the room. We used all the elements to blast her with them. Then Celestia comes in and talks with us then its relived that she and Luna were siblings.
Luna pov
Sigh now who was it I was supposed to meet. I believe it was an earth pony... pink...ah Pinkie pie I sneak over to Pinkie. She says lowering her voice to the point I couldn't hear if I wasn't an alicorn "So your the one I was told to talk with" her tone sombre
“Yes that would be me, and your are Pinkie?” I inquired keeping my tone low
She nods and sighs saying “We have a lot to talk about.”
We both look down awkwardly and say “Do you want to do this in the dream realm?”
She just nods “hey guys, princess Luna” an orange mare says bowing
I say “Thou doesn’t have to bow to thy. Thy better leave.”
With that I teleported away.
