Chapters That one horrible night, the very night I was born. Just as soon as I was seen I was abandoned by my parents. My own parents had left me on the warm sidewalk and left, leaving a defenseless child on the streets of Arizona. Never to be seen by my parents or to have any love from them at all, my whole life living of the land and being self reliant. My only childhood wasted away by having to survive not live.
My story, the story of a scientist, a lover and a bitter person. A story of regret, a story of triumph. After 16 years of surviving on my own, 16 years of just barely grinding by my intellect and my survival skills. 16 years of reading and wandering looking for any way to find shelter, I had finally done it I had finally found a place where I could both conduct my experiments and a place where i could finally live. I had never stopped wondering, until that day I'd found my home and a lab for many things I had never been able to do, relax. Life seemed like it was.... well, slowed down in that short time.
But I couldn't relax there was too much work that had to be done. My teleporter, my locator and many other devices had to be built for me to be able to find out what happened that one night, or rather why it happened. My home was a scrap junction, a nicer way of saying trash heap, but i could find uses for everything before,why not now. I went straight to work on my locator a device which it's only purpose was to find my parents so I could talk with them, see them. After 3 weeks of sweat, tears and wrenches were through,my device was done. I immediately switched the device on and the monitor showed them about 40 meters away.
"That can't be right." I said confused.
Suddenly, I heard the sound of scrap being kicked around. I didn't waste any time i grabbed a lead pipe I found lying near a scrap pile. I suddenly heard voices around the very pile I was at. My heart was racing like a NASCAR on the last lap, my hands were shaky and sweaty as I readied my pipe.
Before I could think, I turned the corner and swung my pipe to a thunderous crack. I heard a female scream and looked up. It was... my mother. I looked down again to see my father on the floor, motionless. I stuttered and shed a tear over my fathers deceased body. I also saw a small child cowering behind my mothers legs,whimpering.
I closed my eyes and told them both... "Leave this place take the body with you." She left crying while the child was left weeping over his fathers body.
"What did I say kid? Leave!" I shouted. The child walked off sadly towards his mother.
I had killed my only father, the one thing I'd been looking for for 16 years, I had just ended his life. I turned around as the family left. I went into a fit of rage, destroying my locator.
"Piece of steaming crap!" I cried beating the device with my lead pipe.
I still had work to do, I couldn't let the death of someone get in the way of my goals. I was already raised cold-hearted, why stop now? I decided to work on my teleporter to see if i could teleport to hell, save a lot of peoples lives.
I worked for 7 weeks on my teleporter trying to find proper place for a test teleportation. I settled for California, Las Angeles
to be exact, inputed where I wanted to go. Unbeknownst to me, I had put to much power in the teleporter, doing that would cost me an unwanted adventure in a quite weird land. I had activated the teleporter, the radiation caused me to black out.
When I woke up I started an adventure I would not soon forget...
I felt in a dream that I was grabbing a jar of gasoline and a peculiar stone off a small shelf. I felt like something was going to happen where ever I was going...
I woke up with a red bodied pegasus above me, screaming a name of some sort.
"Aces, Aces!" The equine shouted.
I woke up and noticed his big, chestnut colored eyes, and recoiled at the fact that a horse was talking to this "Aces" character.
"Oh good your awake I wondered if you were alive!" The pony said with obvious relief in his voice.
I again looked at the red bodied pony, his luxurious black mane seemed to stay in place, despite the fact that there was a rather strong wind coming from my east. I took my eyes off the pony for a minute to investigate my surroundings, I was in a bright world that seemed to be in technicolor, It seemed bright and happy, a change from a the dry deserts of Arizona.
Again the pony started looking concerned as to why I wasn't speaking.
"Aces don't you remember me, I'm RB you know the pony that was always "Right Behind" you." The pony joked.
"Excuse me but where am I?" I asked curiously.
He seemed to had given me a confused look at me asking where I was. He was not answering me, after awhile i assumed he thought It was a joke.
"No seriously where am I?" I asked seriously
"You're in Equestria, Ponyville to be exact." He responded.
"Ponyville...... Equestria? As in the Equestrian?" I stared at him in astonishment.
I again looked at him, trying to convince myself it had gotten extremely hot in my Junction and I was hallucinating. I reached out to grab him, then i realized my hands had been replaced with hooves. I had stopped a minute, jaw surely open at the sight of my own two hands being transformed into hooves. I looked at my body. It was also replaced by a pegasus body with black and white feathers. Then I looked on my head, I saw a horn that seemed to emitting a faint glow.
"Aces are you um ok?" RB asked worried.
I couldn't respond, I was too stunned by the fact that I had been turned into an alicorn and that I was being talked to by an equine.
"Can you tell me my name real fast?" I asked, still dazed from some radiation.
He sighed and said "Aces High, the fastest pegasus in Equestria and the third best magic user." He said in a sort of slow insulting tone.
"Yeah, no none of this is true. I don't even know magic or how to fly!" I doubted.
"If you didn't know, explain this." RB handed me a flier for a race.
A pony was racing across the sky at break-neck speeds. I saw the ponies wings, they were matching colors as my wings. A rainbow pony was right behind me..... she looked like she just broke the sound barrier, creating a sonic boom. How was I faster than a sonic boom? Did I break the speed of light?
I was having trouble believing this but I had no time to question anything that's happened, I needed to get back to my human world. I walked around the green grass and the small town and shops, RB followed my every step.
"Wanna go visit Fluttershy, she's missed since you went on that trip to Canterlot." RB suggested.
"Real quick um who is Fluttershy." I asked stupidly
"Really, you forget things that easily, Fluttershy is one of your marefriends." He said rolling his eyes.
"Are you freakin serious, I have A MAREFRIEND!" I shouted.
"6 to be exact." He said dead serious.
My jaw had dropped about 50 miles down when i heard that.
"Can I go for a little fly, alone?" I asked.
"Sure I'll wait here for you to come down." He said as he laid down on the grass.
I launched myself into the air, flapping my wings.
"How do I remember how to fly?" I thought. I just shrugged and knew I wasn't going back to my world.
"I guess I'll have to accept everything is different now." I said as i flew around where RB was lying down.
As I flew back down, RB stood back up on his hooves. He looked at me and looked into my eyes. I started sweating, his chestnut eyes were staring into my soul.
"Let's just go to Fluttershys..." He said, showing his suspicion towards me.
I just walked behind RB and stayed on his path, who knows? He could be a good guy...
We both were walking towards a hollowed out tree, which in this I had no reason not to believe that this was a home to my "marefriend" Fluttershy.
"We're here." RB announced triumphantly.
As I walked closer to the door to knock the door flung open and a yellow bodied, pink maned pegasus trotted out of the tree.
"Is that you Aces?" Fluttershy asked curiously.
"I do believe so." I say.
She seemed to be staring at RB rather violently, until she finally invited me inside, not inviting RB however. As soon as I walked into the house I saw a little bunny that seemed to be asking for food.
"Not now Angel Mama's busy." She said as she shooed the bunny.
I was inspecting her home searching for anything other then standard house appliances and exotic animals. Alas I found nothing outside of the animals and the normal things for a home.
"So how was your trip to Canterlot?" Fluttershy asked trying to get a conversation going.
"It went great." I responded simply
"Well, what did you do there?" She asked.
I didn't know what ponies did in Ponyville, much less a place I've never heard of or been to. "They held a flying competition,and I was a part of the race." I lied
"You are a really bad liar, now seriously what did you do there?" She became insistent on a legit answer.
I started sweating bullets and my heart was beating fast again, then out of no where i said...
"I don't even really know I must have amnesia." I blurted
"Amnesia really? Oh I'm sorry dear." She seemed to sympathize for me.
" I'm sorry I can't remember anything." I apologized.
She seemed to rush to grab something, maybe to help me with my amnesia I didn't know for all I knew she was going to pull out a b-
"Remember your son?!" She asked fairly worried.
"S-s-on?" I stuttered.
"Yes, our little Butterfly remember?" She was almost crying now
I didn't know what to say should I lie, should I tell her the truth, what should I do? I walked over and hugged her really tight until finally she stopped crying. She started hugging me back as I kept telling her It would be ok. She calmed down enough to remind me of my little baby, an alicorn named Butterfly he had my red eyes and my cyan mane. I stared at the foal, looking at me some what lovingly.
"Fluttershy I need to go, I have some uhh errands to run." I said making my way to the door.
"But you can't leave me and Butterfly alone again you may forget us again." Fluttershy said almost crying again.
"I can't stay I need to go... figure something out." I say in an honest voice.
"You just don't care about us that's why you can't stay you hate us!" Fluttershy said crying
"You couldn't be more wrong I just need to go figure somethings out." I say again
"No your not, you aren't leaving again Mr. High, your staying with us FOREVER!!!" She screamed.
I burst out the door and start flying, RB sees me and starts following me.
"What happened in there?" RB asked.
"Less talk, more fly." I said as we flew away from an angry Fluttershy.
"LOVE US ACES!!!!!" She screeched again.
All we did was kept flying away from the angry voice chasing after doing everything in her power to catch me and make me stay forever with her.
"Which marefriend am I visiting next?" I asked RB
"Pinkie Pie at sugar cube corner." RB responds.
As we flew off to Sugar Cube Corner, I looked back and could still hear the angry shouts of Fluttershy. She'll have to wait I have a responsibility to see everypony that is my "girlfriend". Fluttershy will just have to hang on to the memories for now.
Memories, what a horrible thing to hold on to. If you lived my life, you would understand I never had anything handed to me. My memories were all of the near captures I faced from those who wanted me returned to a "proper" home. I wasn't going to be satisfied unless my parents were the only ones taking care of me.
RB and I were still flying, but at a moderate pace since we were no longer being chased by a pony that just can't let go of her past. Then again, am I any different from her. I can't accept the new because of my past.
Before I had a chance to finish my thinking RB tried to start a little bit of conversation since we'd slowed down enough to where we could talk.
"What did happen in Fluttershys house any way?" He questioned.
"I told her I had amnesia, she freaked out showed me my baby, started crying and after I comforted her I had to go to finish what i had started, she thought I never loved her and after I bolted she chased us." I said in a half depressed, half angry tone.
"That is quite an adventure for visiting Fluttershys house." He joked, I didn't laugh.
As we approached Sugar Cube Corner RB suggested we start walking for the rest of the way. I simply nodded as we made our decent. When we finally landed a few blocks from Sugar Cube, I felt like something was going wrong, mainly because I felt this strange feeling like I was being watched from somewhere. I quickly adapted to the feeling however and moved on inside our destination.
"Oh look Gummi we have guests." Said the pink pony sitting on a countertop.
"That's Pinkie Pie." RB whispered.
"Pinkie, it's Aces remember me I was your coltfriend." I explained.
"How couldn't I remember the pony that broke my mind and heart." Pinkie said angrily.
"I know I may have done wrong in the past, but that's why I'm here, to apologize." I say honestly
Pinkie just stares at me for many minutes not saying anything. Until she reached for a button next to the counter she was sitting on. She slammed down on the button, it did nothing for several seconds.
"The wait will be worth it to see Aces finally get what he deserves." Pinkie said with a sick smile from ear to ear.
The walls had started to close in on myself and RB. As the walls started to close in I had started to look for a way above the death trap walls. As much as I looked there was no way out, my only fate was either having Pinkie stop the walls somehow or death by spiked wall.
Suddenly, a figure burst through the wall with a compact chainsaw, ready to spill something, and it wasn't some apple cider.
"I find my little Aces hanging out with trash like Psycho Pie, It's such a sad sight." Fluttershy said sarcastically.
"Well, It's better then having somepony burst in and ruin your perfect wall, and a perfectly fine squish." Pinkie said in response to Fluttershys sarcasm.
I forgot I was about to be crushed by a 14 foot high wall and turned to the hole in the wall that Fluttershy had made making her grand entrance. I didn't waste any time, I flew past Fluttershy at light speed and was up at 3,000 feet yet again, flying for my life. Only worrying about my own survival again.
"RB!" I remembered, but by then it was too late I heard a scream and then silence from Sugar Cube. The daunting reality had fallen upon me. I stopped in the air and did the only thing I could do thinking of RB, cried. I had cried and cried and cried, even more then when my father died. I finally got a hold of myself telling myself that he would want me to move on for his sake.
"Where do you think your going Aces?" Said a rather loud voice.
I turned around and was suddenly knocked out by some mysterious force. What I would find out there would be horrible almost as much as my current situation.
I felt the same rush as when I got knocked unconscious by the radiation form the teleporter, It felt almost... powerful. A sort of feeling you get from taking a type of steroid to help you with a muscle condition, you felt like you were stronger, yet more vulnerable.
When I woke up I saw two ponies, who for some odd reason I easily remembered. The two Princesses, Luna and Celestia, both in front of my eyes. We were in a lab somewhere. The dark lab looked like something you would see in a science fiction movie .I also noticed they were analyzing some bit of blue skin, then I noticed It was my skin the were investigating.
"Sister I think he's awake." Luna said in her normal serious tone.
"Check if his memory is stable, we need to see if he remembers what we've done." Celestia murmured in a less than pleased tone.
Luna walked over to me looking to see if I would resist something Then I realized, I couldn't move, I was being held by the Princesses magic. Luna felt me struggle and sent a shock up my spine that made me flinch in pain. She made a comment how most ponies would be either dead or unconscious due to the number in volts. I couldn't here much but I believe the voltage was a little bit over 9000.
"Do you remember us?" Celestia said while walking over to me.
I nodded.
"Sister we should explain why he's here in the Royal labs." Luna suggested.
"I suppose that's only fair after we took a skin sample and locked him in stasis." Celestia agreed.
"Might I ask why I finally have my memory back?" I asked still feeling a little bit of pain in my spine.
"We have strong magic Aces, so do you." Celestia responded.
"How did I get here?" I asked with shock in my voice.
"That's is a question that has a very lengthy answer, but if you must hear it we will play a series of logs and quotes from what happened in our project." Luna said cruelly.
"Audio log 1, Date:4\5\2927. We have successfully created a template for everypony in Equestria, soon we will have more then a few more ponies walking around Ponyville randomly generated from parts of other ponies who's DNA was harvested by the doctors in Equestria." The first log had finished, as soon as that one finished another started playing.
"Audio log 27, Date:6\34\2927. Our machine has created a pony whose talent with music is only equaled to Vinyl Scratch and many other wubsteb musicians, but however this one can also sing. We plan to wait until his cutie mark development cycle is through. To think we will have even more ponies coming with more talents..." The next log started.
"Audio log 29, Date: 6\37\2927. Our machine has created yet another pony, this one has two different shades of blue on his mane,main color being a normal blue, the other being closer to a baby blue. He also seems to have red eyes and a knack for being calm one moment, then the next he's screaming and bouncing all over the walls like a bouncy ball. We will put on a cutie mark that involves either shouting random or obvious things, or something to do for standing up for colts."
"You've heard way more than you needed to know already, but are you aware who's voice that was?" Luna pressed
I stopped and realized the voice.... was mine. They decided to play one more log, just for the satisfaction of watching me wince after every word I spoke in that recording.
"Audio log 89, date 9\29\2928. I seemed to have found a source of energy that is infinite and perpetual, It seems to be emitting a faint glow from both ends of itself. It is shaped like a sort of rod made out of gold around the frame. I wonder..." I heard a zapping noise and a grunt from me. " Static electricity. I suppose I should think twice about touching these things."
I looked at the princesses, Celestia was holding the rod with her horn , measuring how much power it can let out in a second. It seemed to be powering the entire lab around me.
"Radiation, the only thing that could be making that thing produce power, Is radiation." I stated looking at Celestia.
"Controllable radiation is what this is." Celestia said, barely looking over toward me.
Radiation, whether controllable or not, needed to be eradicated from this world. It was a poison that could cause mutations and to save time, death is also on the list of likely out comes.
"Great, to see you again Aces." Said the pony that had helped me take down the army of tank born ponies.
"Good to see you too, Twilight." I responded.
Twilight came through the hole in the chamber door that she had made while bringing down the army of clones.
"Well, you've obviously found out what you did here, due to the fact that the Princess locked you in here, with all of these defects." Twi said in a hurtful voice.
I said nothing and ran over to the audio logs database, trying to find out what had happened before I started researching artificial pony development here in these cold, dark labs. I noticed some older logs behind log number 1, one of which was titled "Star Child".
"As I walked out to the castle grounds today, I noticed a small alicorn lying in a fetal position, crying his eyes out. I approached the crying foal with caution, not knowing what to expect. What I had found was, both hopeful and dreadful at the same time." The audio log had froze, the power to the log was shut down. Celestia had taken out the Vril device, removing all power from all things running off of it.
"You think you can learn your past, just so you know what your destined to do, I'm here to be the only pony to ever stop destiny!!!" Celestia shouted directly towards Twilight and I.
"So if you kill me you will be stopping what is already destined to be." I questioned her logic.
Celestia started flying after me not Twi, only me. She chased me around the small lab, as Twi started running toward the exit of the labs, a rather big teleporter, almost the same as my teleporter on Earth. It seemed to have a slight amount of power left in side of the chamber of the pod.
"That's my escape eh?" I asked myself nervously, remembering my newest human mistake.
I flew as fast as possible to the teleporter, setting it's co-ordinance as I went with my magical horn. I had no time to dilly dally, I activated the teleporter right before Celestia had trapped me. I was flashing between multiple times and locations, from ancient Greece, to a place in which I heard "The stars will aid you when in true need."
I'd finally stopped in some sort of recording studio, next to an editing room with a blue bodied, yellow maned pony working on some sort of animated music video. I heard many types of music from wubsteb, rock and even some songs about burning someone from ear to ear. But one piece of music really caught my ears attention, the lyrics went something like...
"The stars high above me, have lived one million years, longer then I could fathom, are finally crashing down on my head from left to right." That was all I had heard.
I kept moving through the studio until I reached the exit. I knew I would have to start running from something as soon as I got out, but I didn't know what. What I ran into almost broke me mentally leading me to insanity. The long road to insanity is one traveled by the ignorant and arrogant, it is the road that leads those blinded by false promises to chasing an artificial goal.
I was one of those people, I was lead by promise of a better life in a society where inventions were embraced. Were all was upon others, all of us were always making something new and special. I was instead greeted with something I thought not a soul in Equestria had to deal with: being abandoned by my own parents. But I pressed on despite many depressing times.
I looked back into the recording studio one last time. My fair well was complete and utter silence as I trotted out of the front door of the studio.
"Aces, I can see you are staying rather comfortable here, doing nothing while other ponies are getting kidnapped and killed." Luna said in the royal voice.
"I need rest, Luna. I've been running without it ever since I got here." I responded dreary-eyed.
"The one from the stars high above, will one day fall from Kingdom Kom, to wreck havoc across all souls, or just happen To save all foals." Luna read.
"Is that my destiny that Celestia was talking about back in the labs?" I asked curiously.
"Yes." Luna responded quickly and simply.
"Well, I'm basically a walking time bomb, or a savor of foals." I murmured half-heartedly.
"Yes, now you need to go back to your world." Luna said suddenly alarmed.
"Where am I now?!" I screamed
But I woke up but in a different place, Rainbows bed. I shocked myself up from my prone position, Rainbows arm held firm on my arm pulling me back down on the bed. Rainbow was woken up from my sudden movement.
"Oh, hun, what happened ? Did you have a nightmare?" Rainbow ask concerned.
"First, why am I in your bed?" I asked in shock.
"You were cold so I brought you in here so you would be warm, I figured we could share blankets and body heat." She responded.
"Did we-" Rainbow stopped me right there.
"No, I just took you into this room so you weren't cold out on the couch." Rainbow said in a slightly offended tone.
I finally laid back and had peace, It felt like paradise here.
But I'm not fit for paradise. I lie there thinking about that thought.
I could leave all responsibility behind me, live in the middle of nowhere and relax. I couldn't relax, I haven't earned it yet. All my life I've had to fight for survival, but now I'm giving up the chance to live for once in my life.
"Rainbow, I have to go." I murmured sadly.
"I know, I wish I didn't but, I know." She sighed.
"Good-bye Rainbow." I whispered heart broken.
"Good-bye Aces." Rainbow whispered back.
As I flew out of the living room door, I remembered that I still had 3 other ponies to explain too. How was I supposed to explain everything to everypony? Before I could think any more, I heard a pony screaming for help.
"Shush, It's all gonna be ok, just lay back Pinkie won't hurt you any more then she needs too." I heard Pinkie say in a sadistic voice.
I hid behind a tree ready to strike down on Pinkie, I heard the pony scream in agony as his arm was being poked by the knife. I kept watching, at this point stunned with fear for that pony.
"Oh, I'm sorry did that hurt too much? Let me move to the eyes then." Pinkie said in a angry voice.
I couldn't wait any longer, I pounced on to Pinkie before she could blind the poor pony. The knife flew into the air and got Pinkie in the eye. Pinkie screeched in pain as the knife stabbed her eye. I looked down at her, the pony pleading for my help.
I could leave her here like this forever, leave her in pain just for what she had done to many other ponies. I was better than that, I showed mercy at times when possible. I tied her to the same bloody table she put other ponies on and started using my magic. My horn glowed a bright red as I started to perform the proper ritual.
I had removed the knife from her eye and injected it into my stomach, wincing while doing so. Pinkies eye was at this point glowing with the same red aura my horn had. I was ready to replace her eye, with mine. I started screaming in pain as my eye was swapped with Pinkies, she had stopped screaming.
"NOOOO!!!" I heard Celestias voice in my head, she seemed like she was being defeated by something.
I was now blind in my left eye, blood dripping down my stomach from the knife. Pinkie was passed out on the table. I started flying away from her, realizing I gave her an advantage. I didn't care.
I had healed a pony that had tried to kill me. Why? It had made no sense to hand the enemy an advantage. But maybe she did nothing wrong before I left her. I never knew and I still hope I never find out.
"My sweet, little foal." Cooed a voice from below me.
I kept flying, but the voice seemed to follow me wherever I went, above the cloud layer, the voice still was in my head. On the ground the voice continued in my head. I couldn't just forget that voice, I thought about the voice again for a moment. I remembered it after a few seconds of thought. It was my curse, I remembered one night when I was young, I was told I was cursed with the ability to hear from the past when I had done wrong, until I corrected that wrong, I would be cursed to here the voice of the people I had sinned against.
"What should we name him?" Said my voice at random.
I had sinned against myself? I knew about all the other ponies, but myself? I had wronged myself by leaving my children, leaving my marefriends and my murdering my father. I had done all of those things, I hurt myself. I was ready for my actions to come with pain and misery.
"Let's name him, Bookworm." One voice said.
"Butterfly." Said another.
"Pot of Gold and Lightning." One more
"Golden Delicious." Yet another.
"ENOUGH!!!!" I shouted as I rammed my head into a tree.
"You can't escape your curse Aces, don't even try it!" Celestias voice screamed in my head.
I had realized she was right, I had the ability to heal wounds, but I couldn't use it correctly. I was sent from the stars to heal, not to hurt. But I couldn't stop myself from hurting other ponies around me, I could heal everypony in Equestria, but I'm too selfish to. I was pathetic, I wouldn't use my powers for good, I had used them to fuel a killer.
"That's right! GIve up now and I might not kill you!" Celestias voice screeched in a cruel manor.
"No, I still have a job to do here, I have to apologize for what I've done to these poor ponies." I murmured in my head.
I started flying again, just to be able to see the whole area around me. I felt like I would be here again, very soon.
Some false memories were handed to me I know, but they felt so... real.
As I flew over Ponyville I noticed something odd. It was about noon here, but there were no ponies playing outside, I didn't even see Time Turner out there yet.
"Time Turner!" I remembered he was a scientist like me, maybe he could assist me in my predicament.
But there were no ponies anywhere, I didn't even see a light on in any of the pony homes. I started to check all the doors for some odd reason and found multiple notes all basically saying the same thing. This particular ponies name, an address and a message saying "Sorry off for a vacation!". Something didn't add up, why would all the other ponies get up and just leave? I checked all of the houses, all but one was empty, that house was Twilight Sparkles.
After I heard a small creak in a floorboard at Twilights house I flew at the speed of light to her house to see what was going on. As I approached the door a magic field came up, blocking my access to the front door of the tree house. I looked through the top window and noticed a few ponies, cowering in a corner next to Twilights bed. I saw Bon Bon, Lyra, Colgate and Ditzy Doo, or as most called her, Derpy.
"HEY, LET ME IN!" I shouted.
No pony heard me, I tried to look through the downstairs window and try and find Twilight or Time Turner. I found that pony from the recording studio, casually sipping punch while making another animated music video on his laptop. I also saw that shouting pony, I started calling him Subject Spark, he was there on his laptop. Then I saw him, Time Turner.
He was in there with all the other ponies, cowering in a corner. That wasn't like him, he was usually out in the face of fear, staring it in the eyes with no fear whatsoever. Something was bad enough to make him scared, that was horrible.
"TIME TURNER!" I screamed in a valiant attempt to get his attention.
I started trying to burst open the shield with my own magic. I stood there for what must have been hours trying to break the magic barrier. Every time I tried, I got blasted back and was knocked out for a few seconds. My stomach started to bleed from my untreated wound from my sacrifice earlier. The punch like blast was getting weaker every time it hit me, eventually to where it couldn't even move me.
"So your willing to break the only thing protecting normal ponies from death for your own plans?" Celestias voice nagged in my mind.
"If that's what it takes for me to say sorry for my previous actions, then yes." I grunted.
"Your trying to break the only thing protecting them from me, their very fear?" Celestia questioned.
"Trust me, I just went through worse than you could ever do to me." I baited
"You think I won't put you through your own personal hell? You're sorely mistaken." Celestia murmured angrily.
"I don't think your strong enough to even take down Twilight. And you think you can take me on?" I taunted.
She fell for my bait, she appeared in front of my face, ready to fight.
"So you think I can't take down someone who's curse is bigger than their power?" She shouted.
"Yes, you can but you can't defeat someone who's fighting skills is better than a royal solider in the 96'th unit." I taunted again
"Unless you have a plan to kill me, It's you that's going to perish in hell tonight." Celestia smiled
She shot to the left of me, my blind side. I jumped out of the way of her shot and started to make her aim at the barrier. She kept shooting to my left, I kept rolling and jumping to the right. Celestia was about aimed at the perfect trajectory for a magic punch to hit her back. The field had time to recharge it's punch after our little fight.
"Don't run you'll just die tired!" Celestia shouted again.
She shot the final magic shot at me. It bounced off of the field and it sent back a fully charged punch straight at the princess. It hit her directly in the stomach and she launched back about forty meters back. I trotted toward the downed Princess.
"Say hello to the devil for me." I said as I shot a magic bolt at her injured stomach.
The princess had been murdered me some pony that healed a murderer. Oh the irony seemed funny at the time. The barrier was instantly brought down, some pony must had seen what had just happened and told the ponies holding the field up to stop the projection of it.
"What have you done?" Twilight screamed in horror as she walked out.
"What had to be done." I responded as I trotted off out of Twilight Sparkles yard.
"Oh and sorry for leaving you." I screamed back.
I had just taken out an insane leader that only caused fear for all ponies. But at such cost it seemed. I lost Twilights loyalty.
Twilight looked over her teacher, trying to convince herself that she was not dead. The Princesses limp body just stayed put on the floor.
"What happened here Aces?" Time Turner asked me.
"Long story short, the Princess went completely off her rocker and tried to kill me." I responded still looking at Twilight.
"Interesting..." Time Turner walked off naming a few variables on what made Celestia go insane.
I just started walking off into town square. I saw the ponies had ran out to gallop around. I saw a pony with a 101 on his back, and a cog shaped door for a cutie mark. I saw Berry Punch drinking, well berry punch. I saw all the ponies running around happily. It made me sick.
"You think you've won this war?" Celestias voice screamed from the Aether.
"Considering your dead and the only problem I have to deal with is the hell I created on my own, no I don't." I murmured to my brain.
I kept walking, no pony followed me. I flew away, no pony followed me. I was alone in the sky for once. I loved the feeling of knowing that It's just you and your thoughts. But my thoughts were grim. Blue skies, foals playing in the playground and ponies
enjoying their day. I was feeling weak from all of the happy things I heard down below.
It all changed in mere seconds. I heard screams, I saw pestilence on the streets, I smelt the burning oil across the fire. I felt war coming for Equestria. The screaming sounded like music, the sickness felt so healthy, the burning oil was simply natural.
"What is wrong with me?" I asked myself.
"You pray for others to feel misery just like you, but you refuse to cause misery unless necessary." Lunas voice chimed in.
"I know, but every choice I make I feel is wrong." I whimper sadly.
"It's because there is no correct answer for your misfortune. You have to make your own choices." Lunas voice comforted and destroyed me at the same time.
I made my decision. I was going back to paradise. My inner war had forced me into a decision, this was my choice.
As I flew over the same forest I was in earlier, I saw something, less than pleasant to my eye. I saw Pinkie jabbing a knife into a pony, A pony that I knew would die due to the pain, It was me. I looked around for traps around the air or on ground level. I found nothing anywhere.
"Odd, considering that Rainbow is near b....." I thought for a moment, how would Pinkie get to me.
She would threaten Rainbow and my foals. I flew as fast as I could towards Rainbows house. I heard Rainbows scream and then a sadistic laugh.
"I'm coming Rainbow, just hold on for me." I cried.
As I entered the Cloud home, I saw Rainbow flying around the house, Pinkie with a knife not far behind. Rainbow saw me and flew behind me. I folded my arms around her, trying to protect her from Pinkie.
"I won't let her hurt you." I said to Rainbow.
"I know you won't." She whimpered.
Pinkie saw me and immediately rushed me with the knife.
"Good-bye Rainbow." I said crying.
(Rainbows POV)
"Good-bye Rainbow." He said crying on my shoulder.
Pinkie got closer to Aces, I hid behind him, I was being a coward. He didn't mind, he would do anything to protect his Dash.
Pinkie had gotten within stabbing distance of Aces, she cocked back her hand with the knife, I closed my eyes and heard Aces scream and fall to the ground.
"ACES!" I screamed as I reached to see his body.
"Just...don't......forget....me...." His dying words.
Pinkie eyes seemed to had dilated and she started questioning why Aces was bleeding and lying on the floor.
"You did this Pinkie, you killed my only love." I cried over Aces body.
(Pinkies POV)
"I-I-I killed Aces." I stuttered.
I had killed Rainbows fiance, the only pony she loved in her life.
"The puppets role is over, you no longer have use to use Pinkie." I heard Celestia say in my brain.
"Where are you Princess?" I asked curiously.
"Aces is in front of me in the line to hell." She said in a sick, sadistic voice.
Aces body had started twitching in Rainbows arms.
(Rainbows POV)
I felt a slight kick in my arms as I saw the knife in Aces back started to float and Aces horn started glowing a distinct red. I saw Aces eye open, but the other opened too. One glowed a red, devilish color, the other colored bright white. But then a third eye sprouted out of Aces forehead showing the face of......
"Princess Luna." I said
"Your Aces, is no longer your original Aces High, He is my disciple in Equestria now. He has sworn an oath to only marry once, whom he has chosen Rainbow Dash of Cloudsdale." Luna stopped to see if I had any bursts of joy to get out.
"You will both live to be the Rulers of Equestria until the end of time. Rainbow Dash, if you choose to except this offering
Aces will be immortal so shall you, but if you do not accept Aces will be removed of his curses and he will stay in Elysium for all time." Luna had finished.
I didn't know what to do. On one hoof, Aces and I can be happy together forever. On the other hoof, if Aces stays in Elysium, he will get to see his deceased friends again. I couldn't decide. This offer was too big for me to make alone.

(Rainbows POV)
Why did I need the others opinion about my fiance? I never knew, I just decided halfway to Twilights house that, well I needed to make a pure decision. One from the heart, not from the brain. One that was brash and quick. Seemed a little like me in many ways. I started to fly back to my home in the sky, Pinkie being her, defying all form of logic as usual, was still marveling over Aces floating body.
"Pinkie, I need you to stay quiet while I do this ok." I said in a confident tone.
Pinkie simply nodded at sat down on my couch, watching me closely.
"Luna, I have made my final decision." I shouted
"Let us hear it then." She said in the royal tone.
"I choose to bring Aces back to me, to rule Equestria forever in harmony." I smiled past the last bit.
"Very well..." The eye on Aces head had disappeared in a split second.
He collapsed on to my soft, cloud floor and slowly opened his eyes.
(Aces POV)
I was brought back from the dead. Rainbow had made the decision too quickly, she never thought about the consequences of tampering with fate.
"Aces!" Rainbow shouted with glee.
"Rainbow, I guess we rule the world now huh?" I coughed, still recovering from my recent death.
I was removing all of the false memories that Celestia had given to me. Twilights baby was fake, I knew that. She swore off stallions to continue her teachings with Celestia. Applejacks baby was also fake, She had too much on her plate already.
(Rainbow POV)
Suddenly I noticed Aces eye color change from his normal red to a hellish black shade. Then I saw for a brief second his whole body go black. As soon as I stepped back, Aces was back to normal, just resting on the floor next to me. I sighed and moved him to the bed in my room. We ruled everything now. But at what cost?
(Rainbow POV)
My Aces was back, He was back! We ruled now..... Was it truly worth what Aces went through to get that far? He sacrificed his eye out of mercy, he killed Celestia to save us. Now something he was probably praying for, I had taken it away from him. He was released from his torture for several minutes, but he was brought back to his torture.
"We should start heading towards Canterlot castle, since we rule now." Aces croaked.
"We should do that." I whispered back.
(Aces POV)
I was feeling better from when I originally came back, but I still felt ill and had a massive migraine. I started to stand up, hoof by hoof, until I was in a full standing position.
"Good to see you can still stand." Rainbow said with a sarcastic laugh.
"Listen, Rainbow we need to make a stop at Twilights house." I murmured, knowing Pinkie was near by.
"Why do we need to do that?" Rainbow questioned why I would want to go back there.
"Let's just say, I want to investigate something." I said critically.
Pinkie trotted off towards the kitchen to grab a soda or something. While she was gone I explained to Rainbow the effect of changing my fate.
"When you changed my fate, Luna made it to where we were the only two people who remembered. Thus I need to see if she changed the books that were written too." I started explaining.
"That seems to be a little extreme, changing everyponies memory like that." Rainbow said, obviously confused by what I said.
"If she didn't, do you think that everypony would listen to someone who killed Princess Celestia?" I said frustrated.
"That is a very good point." Rainbow shrugged.
Pinkie came back with a soda, chugging it down as she normally would.
(Pinkie POV)
I heard the ponies whisper from the kitchen, not knowing what they said.
"What were you two ponies talking about?" I asked, still trotting back to the couch.
"We were talking about how it would be like being royal, considering our state of mind right now." Aces was staring at me sincerely.
I just shrugged and sat back down on the couch.
"So, you guys rule Equestria now huh?" I said amazed by the sudden turn of events causing this.
"How do you remember that we just became rulers?" They said in unison.
"I'm Pinkie Pie." I answered simply.
(Rainbows POV)
I heard our little foals start to cry in back. I rushed off to see what had happened to cause that. I stepped into the room and realized they were just asking for some food. I walked out to the fridge and grabbed two bottles full of milk and turned around back to the foals room. Aces was just sitting there, as usual, relaxing on the sofa. Pinkie was sitting next to him, no doubt talking his ear off.
I again stepped into the foals room, but saw a dark figure for a second, looming over the crib. I held back a minor scream when the figure disappeared and continued to head towards the crib. I set the milk down in the cribs and leaned against the cloud wall next to it.
My tired eyes were starting to close very slowly. Before I knew it, I was out-cold, lying on the soft, cloud floor, asleep.
(Aces POV)
Pinkie kept asking questions, all basically coming down to. "What are you going to do?" I just sighed and looked at the spot where I was stabbed, noticing my blood was still wet. It was something that distracted me from Pinkies rambling. I eventually got bored of the stain, and turned to realize Pinkie had fallen asleep.
"Nows my chance." I whispered as I flew out the door.
I needed to catch up on my studies of a few things namely, Avogadro's Law and the Vril device. I was going to build something to give myself a fatal disease from radiation. I never wanted to be back here anyway.
(Fluttershys POV)
I had woken up at my normal time of day, around 5:00 am, to go out and feed my animals. As I slowly and quietly went to my shed. I walked inside and grabbed some special feed for the animals I always fed first; the chickens. I flung the sack onto my back and trudged along the narrow path towards the chicken coop.
I looked up and saw our king, Aces High fly across the early morning suns radiant light. He seemed to be in a hurry.
"Why would he be in such a rush? Why not stop and enjoy the scenery?" I whispered to myself.
I heard him say something about something called a "Vril Device" while he flew overhead. I continued on to the chicken coop and placed the food with the utmost care. The chickens happily plucked away at the corn shaped food. I decided I would follow Aces after I was done feeding my animals.
(Aces POV)
I started to feel a certain feeling of being monitored somehow. I checked around my surroundings and found nothing out of the ordinary around near Fluttershys house.
"Soon you will see, my sweet little puppet!" I heard echoing inside of my brain.
"Strange, I shouldn't be hearing voices unless..." It had finally struck me.
If Vril had been touched by Celestia and she went insane, that means when I touched it, It had the exact same effects on me. I had only touched it for a few short moments, Celestia must've had prolonged exposure to the radiation.
"No matter, I'll be dead soon anyway." I whispered to myself.
I kept flying, and thought back to how I was wondering how I could perform the feat of flight. Now I was doing it as if I never forgot how to fly. I looked down again, all I saw was the dense forest below me.
"Don't even start worrying again," I heard the voice calling again, "you won't be here long anyhow."
I just stopped and waited for at least 5 minutes, just flying there.
(Twilight's POV)
"Good morning Spike!" I said as I trotted down the stairs into the make shift kitchen.
"Good morning Twilight." My assistant called back.
Spikes eyes were dreary, he just seemed to be out of his element today. Who's to know if Spike was just trying to get out of working today? I just shrugged and moved to the "Mythology" section of the library.
"Let's see, "The Hydra" no, "Those of which who..." no, "The true story of Aces High" why not?"
I pulled up a stool and dove into the book. I blazed through the first two chapters, reading about how a certain group of rebels, then called "Fiends", started to find and destroy all the kingdoms in Equestria, except for Canterlot and the areas under it's rule.
"That's just ridiculous, If they were after all the rest of the kingdoms, it doesn't make any sense why they wouldn't go for the one with the smallest army." I ridiculed the book, but read on.
(Aces POV)
I was almost to Twilight's house. Another excuse for me to commit suicide. Twilight was this reason. I couldn't except the fact that I was the new pony she looked up to, when I had murdered the one that was supposed to be this.
"Oh well, it will be over soon." I said with a slight smile on my face.
Finally, I had found Twilight's house. I opened the door. And was about to face everything and learn everything.
(crap end incoming)
"Adrian, it's time to go to school!" Mother had called up.
I grabbed my pack, full of my journals, most of which were filled with stories like this one. Then, I realized.
"If I wrote this on the internet, it would be even better." I whispered.

"Yes, sister." Luna complied.
After I was set free I was told I was free to roam in the molecule chambers. As I walked through the lab to the damp chambers, I had this weird feeling that the sisters weren't telling me everything they knew about me. But before I could change my judgement, I was trapped in the molecule chamber with other ponies of all shapes, sizes, types and basically everything else.
"We're truly sorry Aces, your better dead, you filthy mistake of a pony." Celestia said over the intercom.
"Sister, what are you doi-" I heard a magic zap sound and a falling noise.
"Dispose of this wretched filth on my floors!" Celestia commanded.
The other ponies were closing in on me, I had nowhere to hide. I was outnumbered, outplayed and trapped in a inescapable corner. But just as soon as I had given into my fate, what seemed like magic saved me.
"My horn!!!" I remembered.
All of a sudden all of the defective ponies were on the floor and the door out was open. I had things to do here, like redeem myself for my actions. Then I realized that I didn't use my own magic to take down the ponies there was someone else helping for well the sake of helping I suppose.
While I was walking out of the studio I heard a familiar voice screaming my name out at least 8 times.
"RUN!!!" Said a pony that looked similar to the one I had described in the audio log, the one that was calm one moment, screaming the next.
I followed the ponies advice, but in a way no pony there was expecting I ran around in front of the pony shouting, who was Pinkie, big surprise there. She saw me and started following close behind me, I just kept sprinting leading her into my trap.
"WHY DO YOU NEED TO RUN, PINKIE WON'T HURT YOU." I heard the pink pony screech.
As I neared closer to what I remember as Cloudsdale, I extended my wings and started gliding upward, Pinkie on the ground floor saying she'll catch me eventually. Turned around to see another pony I remembered, but not from recent memory, he was a part of my childhood, the only other alicorn in class.
"Aces, Is that you?" Asked the bacon maned stallion.
"In the living flesh." I responded in a happy voice.
He had flew over to me to say he was glad to see I was alive, to be frank I said the same to myself and him.
"So have even considered coming to Mareizona to see me and my family again?" Said my best friend, Claudio.
"Sorry, It's probably gonna have to wait, I still have things to do in Ponyville." I say sadly.
He seemed to just leave me alone after that. I flew away, Claudio waving all the way. But I needed to start tracking my next marefriend, Rainbow Dash.
"Hey, Aces how have you been?" I heard Rainbows voice behind me.
"Well, I do have Fluttershy and Pinkie after me, does that count as all butterflies and rainbows." I said blankly.
"Why don't you come over to my house, you can see your twins." Rainbow screeched with barely contained delight.
As we flew off to Rainbows home, I started to think, why I was chosen to be here, why I had so many girlfriends. I don't even know half of the crap i've done here. Oh well just enjoy the calm while it lasts, I supposed. Why was calmness a need of mine? Was it because of me always forming out a plan for everything I could think of that needed a plan? Was it because I was tired of this world pummeling me down into the ground?
It was none of these. I felt like I was becoming crueler every step I took along my path. It was me choking on big decisions.
I knew I was never any good at making choices in the human world. Whatever the reason maybe, I carry on like a solider on his last mission, I never let go until my job is done.
"Rainbow, wait one second." I sighed out to Rainbow.
I flew down to ground level and saw something ominous snaking around the woods I was in. I heard a laugh and saw a sudden mark on the ground for a few seconds. It was the mark of one of Discords followers. I flew back up before I got the urge to even lightly tap the mark.
"We can start moving again." Rainbow took off as soon as I said start.... as per usual.
As we approached Rainbows home I saw what seemed like a pony down below a long, drained out mane. But just as soon as it appeared, It had vanished into the cold air below me.
"What are you waiting for?" Rainbow said noticing my slower than normal pace.
"Nothing, just tired I guess." I said trying to sound like I was yawning.
"Whatever, we're almost to my place, you can sleep on the couch." Rainbow sighed.
As I saw Dashes house about 40 meters away, I saw the same figure I saw earlier, this time it seemed like it was approaching me at an alarming rate. I screeched from fear Rainbow turned around to see what had just transpired.
"What did you see this time?" She asked like she actually cared this time.
"I'm more tired than I thought." I responded.
As I finally got inside Rainbows house, I immediately ran to see If there were any other rooms in the cloud home besides the living room and her bedroom. As I started running through the hallway, I started to slow down to a walk, as for some odd reason I was flipping between a happier, more colorful version of the hallway, from a bleak, pitch black hallway.
"I know the place is a dump, but what do you expect from a pony that spends all of her days practicing, and a pony that won't stop going, or rather running away." She said painfully.
"Rainbow, I'm sorry I couldn't stay forever, you know I had to go eventually." I said in a damp voice.
"I know, but sometimes it's hard to let go, but I still haven't met anypony else I love more than you." She said smiling near the end bit.
I kept walking down the changing hallway, finally coming to a room that was not in Rainbows house before. As I opened the door, I saw two little pegasi lying in two little cribs straight across from each other. I remembered these foals, my pride and my joy, Pot of Gold and Lightning. I smiled and closed the door silently to see Rainbow behind me faintly smiling.
"Here's a blanket you can sleep here on the couch tonight." Rainbow said still smiling.
I took the blanket and headed over to the couch, lying down on the soft cushions. As I looked up at the boring cloud ceiling, The same ghost came out of the ceiling, only this time I knew who it was....
It was Princess Luna. Luna was dead. This was impossible, unless I was transporting through the Nether and Rainbows house. I stared straight at Luna, she stared back. Neither one of us dare yet the deafening silence, not yet. We just stood there in silence, staring, waiting.
