Chapters Umbra looked on in horror as the crystal heart was put back in its slot
“NO THIS IS IMPOSSIBLE I CANT BE DEFEATED I REFUSE TO DIE AHHHH!”
The heart destroyed umbra as she blasted out of her kingdom she started to fly towards the dragon kingdom. Meanwhile in the dragon kingdom
“come on Gabe I thought you were tough or was that just your ego is talking?” A black and white dragon with a big two claw scar on his left eye.
“Oh please, Winter I can take you down in 5 seconds flat.”
Gabe used one of his legs to try and swipe Winter only for him to be countered by a fist to the face and one of his arms behind his back Winter forced it up hard.
“I YIELD STOP PLEASE!” Gabe had started to cry.
Winter got off and kicked him in the back one last time causing Gabe to yell in more pain with that sorted Winter walked into the big cave there he came face to face with a blue female dragon she smiled at his presence.
“I guess your job was successful?”
“Would I come back if I had failed? Your father knows I’m good for business, where is daddy anyway?” Winter had a cocky grin on his face.
“Busy doing dragon things.”
“Having a wank?”
Ember blushed when she heard this as she looked at the much taller dragon staring back at her
“N..n..NO!”
Winter chuckled he liked it when Ember felt awkward calming herself she got her composer back. Ember tossed a big sack towards Winter opening it revealed gems and bits.
“Right Ember I’m off back to Ponyvillie.”
“Why do you live around those ponies,” Ember asked very confused.
“Foods goods plus for them, it does not hurt to have some muscle around the town.”
With that Winter took flight towards Ponyvillie as it came into sight he was blindsided by a black blur hitting him causing both of them to crash in the Everfree forest. Getting up Winter saw it was a pony her horn was strange to him as Winter tried to turn her over she grabbed his throat tight.
“Who are you?” She asked venom in her voice
“Win…ter…..Phoe…nix” he just about chocked out
As Umbra looked at the dragon, her eyes widened it was him it had been a thousand since she had last seen him.
“Any pony ever told you that you'd got a firm grip?”
“shush up.”
“Uh hello, I’m a dragon you’re a pony.”
“I’ AM QUEEN UMBRA AND YOU WILL BOW TO ME!”
Winter could not seem to care less as for Umbra she appeared to have a little regret in her eyes for yelling.
“Un huh well enjoy yourself out here.”
Winter started to fly off as Umbra tried to use her magic, but to no avail soon some timber wolves appeared Winter looked down at her.
“I’m going to hate myself for this I know it.”
Winter shot a fireball causing one wolf to blow up he landed hard on the ground as he punched another Umbra looked slightly shocked.
“You’ve got fists to use ‘em.”
The next few minutes the two kept punching the wolves only for them to keep coming back to life.
“DO THEY EVER DIE!?” Umbra yelled
“Gonna nuke em”
“What?”
Winter charged up a fireball Umbra looked at the ball as it started to grow bigger.
“Oh No”
BOOOOOOOOOOM!
A mushroom cloud rose from the Everfree forest Winter stumbled for a few seconds but got back up looking around there was scorched ground everywhere he also saw Umbra on the floor not moving checking her pulse she was still breathing. He slung her over his shoulder as he flew back to his house it was slightly big landing in Ponyvillie causing some ponies to jump, but they relaxed when they noticed it was Winter before anyone could ask about the pony on his shoulder he went to him only to find a note on the door.
‘Winter can you come to Canterlot when you get this I have a job for you, Celestia.’
“Great her royal self wants to see me.”
Winter opened the door walking upstairs he placed Umbra on the bed Winter grabbed a notepad writing a small note for Umbra getting changed into his bounty hunter uniform most of it being reinforced armor and a mask that barely showed his eyes as he left locking the door behind him.
“First I need to see Twilight ask about Queen Umbra.”
Walking to the tree Winter knocked on the door and waited he was soon greeted by a purple pony looking at him.
“Ah Winter to what do I own the pledger?” Twilight beamed.
“I need a book.”
Twilight started to squeal excitedly.
“On what pony anatomy, dragon history, fighting?”
“You have anything on Queen Umbra?”
Twilight fell dead silent Winter waved a hand in front of her face.
“Hellooo Twilight”
“Sorry blacked out for a second you would have to go to the Crystal Empire for that.”
“It’s been lost for years Twilight.”
“No it’s been found now, but Umbra is dangerous she enslaved the Crystal Empire 1000 years ago.”
It was Winters time to black out he had a vision it was what looked like Luna and Celestia standing against him and Umbra.
“Remember me, my love,” Umbra said as she looked at him Winter shook his head.
“Thanks for the help Twilight but before I get to the Crystal Empire, I had to see Celestia.”
Winter walked out of the tree and towards the train station.
“Canterlot”
“10 bits.”
“Royal business Celestial need to see me.”
The ticket pony was not budging Winter slammed the bits down.
“Thank you.”
Winter took his ticket and sat down on the train bound for Canterlot the ride was quiet and peaceful getting to Canterlot Winter headed for the castle.
“Can I help you?”
“Celestia”
The guard looked up and gulped he then opened the door quickly.
“Thank you.”
Walking through some of the maids and Guards looked scared while others were tired and overworked kicking the doors open to the throne room caused Celestia to drop her cake in shock.
“I’m here what’s the job?”
“Ah good, I need you to go to the Crystal Empire.”
“Why?”
“Umbra has come back I know Twilight had stopped her, but I need you to make sure she is dead.”
“Convent I was going there to look up the history of Umbra.”
Celestia flinched when he said this.
“It’s best you don’t.”
“Why afraid I might find something damming?”
Winter walked out grinning under the mask as Celestia was a little afraid.
“I hope you don’t remember what you were a long time ago.”
Getting back on the train it was going to be a long journey to the Crystal Empire.
“Wait why did I not fly there? Eh, sod it at least with the train I can stretch out”.
Umbra had woken up looking around she saw that she was in a bedroom of some sort it was a bed big enough for two
‘Hi, Umbra I’ve gone off the Crystal Empire on a job should be back in a few days probably best you don’t leave the house because your overall look gives off that of an evil dictator. Well, these ponies can get scared quite easily there is food in the fridge and such anyway feel free to walk and have a look around the house Winter.’
Umbra sighed remembering how he was back when she was in power he ruled with an iron fist but also a heart of gold tough, but fair Umbra’s rage then started to grow.
“If it was not for that poxy princess Celestia everything would have been fine I still can’t believe she thought I enslaved them THEY LIVED HAPPY LIVES WITH ME AND WINTER IN POWER!”
Umbra was fuming now and punched a wall causing a hole to be and her arm to be stuck.
“Note to self don’t punch the walls.”
Winter was fast asleep when the train finally pulled into the Crystal Empire getting out of the train two ponies stood at the gate Winter recognized them both.
“Princess Cadence Prince Shining Armour”
Both of their faces lit up when they saw Winter
“Well, the wedding savior has come again what brings you here?”
“Celestial sent me here Shining to make sure Umbra was dead.”
Cadence breathed a sigh of relief.
“Good, we were worried that she might still be lingering around.”
The 3 started to walk towards the castle Cadence let Shining walk faster as she walked next to Winter.
“Thank you.”
“What for?”
“Our wedding I can’t remember how many changelings you took down.”
“That was a fun day.”
Cadence smiled as she used some magic on Winter which they caused him to glow Winter looked at Cadence who giggled.
“Really?”
“You’re in the Crystal Empire I might as well put you on a crystal form.”
“Thanks, I guess is there a library somewhere around here?”
“Yeah over there.”
Cadence pointed out the library as Winter went over to it.
Umbra had finally got her hand out of the wall she decided to take her armor off going downstairs she saw a small statue of Winter.
“Oh, my love I hope you remember me soon, and maybe we could rule Equestria together.”
Winter was in a forest of books right now reading more and more about the history of the Crystal Empire looking up from his book he saw all the books around him.
“Twilight would be proud of all of these books.”
Winter kept on reading, but nothing came up hours past until a black book caught his attention its title was.
‘The history of Umbra’
“Huh, convenient.”
As Winter read the book the more his face changed from being curious to more anger.
“My Umbra Celestia!”
Winter’s eye suddenly glowed as purple and black shot through them after that his eyes returned to normal but now
Winter remember everything, and he was mad at Celestia for what she did. Winter started to chuckle which then turned into maniacal laughter as his eyes changed to be the same as Umbra he blew the library doors off the hinges he also ripped his mask off as ponies ran and screamed.
“Winter stop.”
Looking he saw Celestia and Luna dawned in their old armor.
“You hid the truth WHY!?”
“To protect you, Winter.”
“Things were good here Celestia before you came and screwed everything up.”
The ponies looked to each and nodded at what Winter said.
“He ruled with an iron fist and heart of gold.”
Celestia looked at the pony who said that.
“Face it, Celestia, we were fine here you just wanted to stomp out anyone was deemed a threat to your leadership.”
“LIES!”
As Celestia fire a beam at Winter he forced a black crystal up to protect himself.
“Your rage just proves my point trust me when I say this Celestia your reign over Equestria is coming to an end it’s only a matter of time before either the ponies get sick of you I’ll take you down.”
With that Winter took flight back to Ponyvillie and his beloved Umbra
As Winter landed right next to his home, he walked in as he did Umbra looked up and saw his eyes.
“Do you remember me, my love?”
“Me you in bed right now.”
“Celestia knows.”
“Who cares we could take her right now.”
“No my dear Umbra we were good rules we will need to win the hearts and minds of the ponies.”
“And how will we do that?”
“Leave it to me.”
The next day there was a large crowd outside of town hall as Winter stood tall rallying the ponies to his cause.
“Now tell me when Discord attacked did Celestial help you?”
The crowd roared back.
“NO!”
“What about when the changelings attacked?”
“WELL”
“She is meant to be strong and powerful, but she lost to a bug? A FRIKIN BUG!”
“YEAH!”
“She makes you pay taxes and for what? TO FEED HERSELF CAKE DAY IN DAY OUT!”
There was a loud gasp coming from the ponies
“SHE LEAVES THE FATE OF EQUESTRIA INTO 6 ELEMENTS!”
The crowd was getting more riled now
“SHE BELIEVES SHE IS STRONG HIDING IN THAT TALL TOWER, BUT YOU KNOW WHAT! SHE IS NOT!”
“YEAAHHH!”
“NOW WHO WANTS NEW RULE THEN HUH WHO?”
“WE DO!”
“THEN MAY I PRESENT THE SOON TO BE RULER OF EQUESTRIA UMBRA!”
The crowd gasped as she came on stage.
“I know a lot of you feel I’m bad, but I’m not and nor is my lover Winter.”
There were mumbles in the crowd as they looked at her as Winter changed his eyes to be like Umbra’s.
“I have a question for you all WHO STOPPED THE CHANGELING ATTACK?”
“WINTER DID!”
Everyone looked back to see the Twilight and the other girls the crowd whispered as Umbra was about to pull her sword out only for Winter to stop her.
“Winter is a hero, and I stand with him!” Twilight yelled
This caused every pony even Winter to be shocked as she stood next to Winter and Umbra. Soon the other girls joined them as well.
“Why you join us?” Winter whispered.
“Cause what you said it true Celestia has not done anything to help save our home she just sits and eat plus I remember when you kicked Discord where it hurts.”
Winter chuckled as he looked over at the ponies.
“SO TELL ME PONYVILLIE ARE YOU WITH ME?”
“YES!”
Winter just grinned as Umbra hugged him tight which then turned into a kiss.
“Oh my dear Umbra this is just the beginning soon Equestria will be ours.”
As Winter flew up to the top of town hall he cut the old flag down and placed a new one up of him and Umbra within a few weeks Ponyvillie was under the new rule of Winter, and Umbra banners were hanging down representing the new rulers.
Celestia looked down at Ponyvillie with disgust.
“Stupid Ponies they don’t know what’s good for them blindly following a dragon and demon pony Luna, on the other
“LUNA!”
“Yes, sister?”
“I want you and your guards to stomp out this rebellion before it gets too much ok?”
“Yes”
As Luna was about to leave with her guards
“Oh and Luna”
“Yes?”
“Don’t fail me or there will be trouble understand?”
“Yes”
As Luna and her guards flew down towards Ponyvillie, they noticed the ponies were happy, but there was the odd dragon
“Kill the intruders.”
The guards were ready for a fight
“HOLD IT!”
Luna looked up to see Winter near the top of town hall as he started to walk black crystal steps appeared as he got to the
“What is it you want dear Luna? Because you walked into the wrong neighborhood.”
“I was told by Celestia to come and stomp out your little rebellion.”
“And you’re going to listen to a sister that always treats you like a common pony?”
Luna was thinking before getting a firm look at Winter.
“No, not anymore. I want to join.”
“In bed? I might have to ask Umbra first.”
“Oh, I don’t mind at all~.”
“Ok sex then to the crystal empire I think it’s about time our subject met us again Umbra.”
