The next morning, Spike awoke in a hospital bed with Celestia laying next to him; cuddling him tight. The warmth of his mate caused him to smile before remembering everything that happened last night. "T-Twilight." he said. Looking around, Spike saw Twilight in a hospital bed right next to his. He couldn't see it due to her being under the sheets, but Twilight had bandages around her torso. After being examined by the doctors, it was found out that she had a few bruised ribs after Amethyst's assault. Spike was angry that he wasn't able to do what needed to be done after what she did to Twilight, but at least she was okay. Spike was about to say something when Celestia pulled him closer to her body; smothering his face in between her massive breasts as she's been known to do. Spike struggled a bit, but managed to get free for air, however, her grip around him remained strong. After hearing what happened, Celestia rushed to the scene as fast as she could; causing a wave of fire to appear right behind her. Seeing Spike on the ground injured threw her into a huge panic before she grabbed and brought him back to Canterlot. With Celestia's breasts in his face, Spike could feel his dragon instincts start to kick in; telling him to go for it. He was able to push it to the side for the time being as he wanted to check on Twilight. Very slowly, he turned to face her to see that she was sleeping soundly. "At least she seemed to be okay." he thought before being pulled back close to Celestia.

Once again, Spike's dragon instincts were screaming at him to go for it. Twilight was asleep, and there was nopony else in the room with them. "Okay, okay.....maybe just a peek." he thought. Spike slowly raised his claw and slipped a digit inside Celestia's cleavage; slowing and gently pulling down the fabric. Spike was able to get it past part of her areola when he was stopped by a hand. "I don't think so, mister." came Celestia's soft voice. Spike looked up and saw Celestia looking down at him. She smiled at his antics and moved in to plant a soft kiss on his forehead. "We'll have "fun" some other time." she said. "Right now, just rest."

"Kinda hard to do that with these things in my face." Spike thought as he went back to staring at her pillows. "So, where's everypony else?"

"Cadence and Shining Armor are back at the Crystal Empire, Blueblood and Luna are overseeing the transportation of the dragon guards back home, and Amethyst is locked away in a secret location." she answered. "We'll deal with her in due time, right now, I want my focus to be on you." Celestia nuzzled her cheek against before giving him a quick peck. Seconds later, the two of them heard Twilight groaning as she slowly woke up.

"Twilight." Celestia called softly. She floated out of Spike's bed and landed next to her former student to stop her from moving around too much.

"W-Where's Spike?" she asked. Celestia took a step to the side and revealed Spike in the next bed. Twilight smiled seeing that Spike was okay, but soon another thought entered her mind. "Wait, what about......" Celestia stopped her by placing a finger over her lips.

"Don't worry about her, it's being handled." she said softly. There was small knock on the door before it opened, and Cadence came through; shocking Celestia. "I thought you were at the Empire."

"I was, but I just had to check in on Spike and Twilight." she said; moving over to Spike first, and planting a small peck on his cheek. As Cadence backed away, Spike noticed that she she still had his mark on her shoulder. Spike nearly had the chance to remove it, but that plan was put to a halt when she suddenly teleported him, Celestia, and Luna out of the bathing room for some reason. He knew that he had to remove the mark on her, but that was going to take longer than expected; given that he was in the hospital and all. Though, Spike felt fine, Celestia wouldn't allow him to partake in any sexual activities until she knew for a fact that he was 100% okay. In fact, she, Cadence, and Luna were the only ponies he could do it with. Just by looking at Twilight, Spike knew her injuries would prevent her from moving around too much. He wouldn't be surprised if she was bed ridden for a while just like he was all those months ago.

"BRUISED RIBS?!" came a familiar voice from outside. Cadence and Celestia used their bodies as shields over Twilight and Spike just as the doorway exploded and Twilight's mother was standing there holding onto a half dead doctor.

"I don't get pain enough for this shit." the doctor thought before passing out.

"I demand that you tell us where the princess is!" yelled the dragon guard as he was being placed inside a carriage.

"You are in no place to be making demands." Blueblood replied. "Effective immediately, the two of you are being sent back to Dragonia. Both her, and your actions may have brought war between our nations once again. Be sure to tell Atomks that this will NOT stand and retaliation will be swift." Blueblood closed the carriage door and banged on it three time; giving the signal for the driver to go. Blueblood, Stardust, and Luna watched as the carriage started to make it's way towards Dragonia.

"Now what?" asked Stardust.

"Now we prepare and wait." Luna answered. "If Atomks is losing the war to his brother, then there's hope that we'll avoid another war with them, but if the opposite happens......well......let's just hope it doesn't."

****************************

That night, Spike and Twilight were alone in their room and reflected on everything that's happened to this point. Spike was quickly filled with guilt over everything; especially over Twilight getting hurt. "It's my fault." Spike said; catching Twilight's attention.

"Spike?" she called.

"It's my fault all of this happened." he continued. "I should've told Cele.....I mean....mom, about Amethyst's ability, but I was too worried about what would happen if I did."

"What do you mean?" Twilight asked.

"You know." he replied. "The possible war between Equestria and Dragonia that would happen should anything happen to her. On top of that, I let her get too close to me, and you got hurt because of it; because of me!"

"Spike, you were able to break free from her control." Twilight reassured. "You fought off her spell all on your own; not to mention beating her to a pulp." Twilight let out a cute chuckle, but Spike didn't. He looked down at his claws; remembering what it was like when he fought Amethyst and her dragon guards. Never in his life had he felt such power coursing through him like that. The only thing that was on his mind was avenging what was done to Twilight; to his mate. It was different than the last two times it happened. Spike was fully prepared to kill. It terrified him to know that he was capable of something like this and wondered if he could even control it.

"SPIKE!" Twilight called; catching the dragon's attention.

"W-What is it?" he asked.

"I've been calling you're name for a while now." she said. "I want you to come next to me." Spike slowly got out of his bed and headed over to Twilight; taking a seat in the chair next to her. Twilight pouted as that wasn't what she wanted. Spike looked at her in confusion until she patted the bed hard; telling him that she meant for him to lay next to her. Spike caught on, but was hesitant to do so, she was injured after all, and he didn't want to cause anymore injuries to her if possible. Twilight clearly didn't share the same concern as he did, since she continuously patted the bed while making a cute whining noise. She was like a spoiled child wanting her parents attention at all times. Spike let out a light chuckle at her adorableness before moving to get in bed next to her. It was a tight squeeze since the bed itself wasn't meant to fit two individuals; something that wasn't a problem for Twilight. Her horn it up, and she expanded the bed a bit so that the two of them could lay there comfortably. An unknown amount of time had passed before Twilight decided to break the silence. "Spike? Can I tell you something?" she asked.

"Sure, what is it?" he asked.

"Well...after you were taken to Canterlot, I had some time to think about everything that's happened; mostly about your cycle." she explained. "We've made a lot of dumb decisions throughout these past events. Like having you mark us without thinking about any of the consequences that might follow afterwards."

"Then why did you go along with it?" Spike asked. "Wouldn't it have been better if you'd......."

"We didn't want you getting hurt again, Spike." Twilight interrupted. "After what 'she' put you through, we felt that it had to be us and not just anypony who would take advantage of the situation and end up hurting you again. But looking back on it now, we did more damage to you than anypony else ever could." Twilight's eyes started to tear up as her hand gripped Spike's. "Maybe even more so now that you removed Celestia and Luna's mark."

"Twilight, I didn't remove any mark from them." he said; catching the alicorn off guard. "I was going to, but mom said that she and Luna wants to stay as my mates....well....at least I think Luna does. All she did was grunt a few times when I asked." Spike chuckled. "I think i'll talk to her again when I see her to get a more accurate answer. So really, all whose left, is you and Cadence."

"Spike." Twilight said in a soft whisper.

"Don't worry, Twilight, once I remove it, you'll be able to......" he started.

"I.....I don't want that." she said; looking away from him. "I don't want to run the risk of another Stargazer coming into my life. You know there are stallions out there just waiting for the chance to take advantage." One stallion in particular came to mind and she hoped to never see that jackass again. "I want somepony I know won't hurt me, or my friends. Somepony like....you." Twilight could feel her cheeks heat up after making that confession, but her words were true. Spike was somepony she could trust; somepony who would never hurt her. Spike, after hearing her confession, could tell that she was telling the truth; the same way he knew Celestia was being truthful when she said she wanted to be with him. Twilight turned her head back to look at him and the pair stayed staring into each others eyes for what seemed liked an eternity. To the two of them, time no longer existed; it was only them. Twilight slowly moved her hand to grab Spike's and held onto it as what could only be described as "an unknown force" caused the two of them to moved closer together. Their lips were dangerously close to touching when suddenly......

"GAHH!" Twilight yelled in pain. She immediately went to clutching her side while Spike wore a worried look on her face.

"Twilight, you okay?! Need me to get somepony?!" he asked with urgency.

"N-No, no, j-just stay." she managed to say. "P-P-Please."

Spike couldn't say no; not when his mate was in pain like this. It took a while, but the pain was finally started to subside, and Twilight's breathing was going back to normal. She couldn't help but chuckle at the situation they were in right now. In the beginning, it was Spike being injured and she being the one laying next to him to make him feel better, and now, it was the exact opposite. Obviously, nothing was gonna happen between the two of them tonight due to Twilight's injuries, so the least Spike could do was make sure she was as comfortable as possible until she makes a full recovery.

****************************

The next day, Blueblood and Stardust met with Celestia and Luna for a secret meeting about the dragons. "According to Spike, Amethyst wanted to get information about her mate Goliath." Blueblood explained. "Based on the fact the Atomsk holds him in such high regard means they need him for some reason. Perhaps the war with Torch isn't going too well."

"If that's true, then we shouldn't be too worried about going to war with Dragonia since his brother, Torch, is known for trying to find peaceful solutions." Celestia explained. "But that still leaves Goliath."

"Don't worry, sister." said Luna. "Even if they manage to find the prison, they'll never be able to get in; not without any of our dna at least. And Just FYI, Amethyst is locked up in the catacombs underneath Canterlot. We've also made sure that she's blindfolded at all times and is bound with golden, unbreakable chains. She won't be escaping anytime soon."

"That's good. I can rest easy knowing that." Celestia responded. "By the way, were are Cadence and Shining Armor. I thought they were supposed to be joining us."

"After the stunt Shining pulled last night, he'll be lucky if Cadence lets him see the light of day ever again." Blueblood laughed. "She has him sealed away in their bedroom at the Crystal Empire while she visits Spike and Twilight."

"In any case, we should head down for the morning court." Celestia suggested. "After that, I want to go and see Spike. He and Twilight should know what's going on."

****************************

"And that's pretty much what happened." Spike said as he sat next to Dizzy's bed. He had just finished telling the stallion everything's that happened while he was recovering from Pinkie's lust filled rage. Most, if not, all of his body cast had been removed and he was finally able to feel the nice cool air over him. Unlike his roommate, Rainbow Dash who was still in her full cast. Spike could feel the death glares she was giving him. He knew that once she recovered, he was gonna get it.

"So where is she now? Dizzy asked.

"I don't know where they took her, and quite frankly, I don't care." he answered. "So long as I don't ever see her again, i'm good."

"Can't believe she did all this just to get Goliath back." Dizzy stated. "Something must be up for her to go through all that trouble."

"What do you mean?" Spike wondered.

"Well, there's civil war going on in Dragonia, right?" he started. "What if her father is on the losing side and they need Goliath in order to win?" Spike started thinking about it, and the more he did, the more it made sense. Sure, Amethyst mostly did it just she could have him back, but she returned to Dragonia with him, that could possibly change the tide of battle in Atomsk's favor. Plus, Spike knows first hand how strong of a fighter Goliath is; ever since that night at the Gala. Maybe if Atomsk loses the war, then they won't have to have to worry about the dragons seeking some kind of retaliation against them. Maybe this whole thing could be resolved peacefully and they can finally put all of this behind them. That's what Spike hoped at least. Whether or not that happens, only time will tell.
