12 PM
I look up at the big brick building. Wow, it's big. 'Dash, you're a big filly. You don't have anything to be scared about.' I push open the door with one shaking hoof. Sitting at the receptionist desk is a grouchy old unicorn mare.
"What do you want?" she croaks without looking up from her hoof-puter, the new technology they came out with a few years ago.
"Um, I'm a new student here and I'd like to register." She looks at me, then at her hoof-puter.
"Name and age?"
"Rainbow Dash, eighteen." she gives me a once over.
"Race?" she has to know I'm a pegasus. Hello, wings?
"Pegasus, Equestrian." she looks at my wings for a little while before returning to the hoof-puter.
"You're on the list. Room 231."
"Thank you." She just waves me on irritably.

My new room doesn't seem anything like my old cloud home. All there is is a bed, a chair and a dresser. Oh well, I won't need my room that much, because of classes and flight training. I flop onto the bed. Wow, suddenly I'm really tired. I have so many things to do though. No, you need to sleep. But I have to unpack, and explore the place. No, sleep. So...tired.. so.. so...sleepy..only going to to close my eyes for a sec-Zzz. I lay on my new bed, fast asleep.

7 PM
I wake up feeling totally refreshed. A bolt of panic shoots up my spine when I find myself not in my cloud house. Then I realize I'm in my dorm room. Heh heh. Silly me. Well, I may as well go exploring, since I'm now up. The door doesn't want to open so I wrestle with it for a moment before it opens, sending me tumbling out into the hall. Awww, fantastic. That was Derpy-Style elegance.
Brushing myself of, I leap to my hooves and walk down the hall. There are mostly other dorm rooms, some of which have names written on them like Cloudchaser, Rumble, and Butterfly Heart. Then there's a library, which I might have to check out later, to see whether it has the latest Daring Doo book. That's all this floor has to offer. I trot happily down the stairs and discover more dorms.
On the next floor down I see the kitchen, where a pale green unicorn is cooking. I wave to her and move on. Next there's a cafeteria and boring classrooms. I fly back to the third floor and down the hall to my room, completely imme- THWACK!
I'm laying on the ground, stunned, when I feel a hoof on my shoulder.
"You okay? Took a pretty hard hit there," laughs a stallion's deep voice. I look up into the eyes of maybe the handsomest stallion ever. For a second I just stare at him before it hits me that I'm staring at him.
I blush deeply.
"Yeah," I say, "I'm fine. You?"
"Aww, you don't need to worry about me." he says playfully.
"But it was my fault," i say, "so I do need to worry about you."
"Hey, it's fine. What's your name? I'm Soarin'"
"I'm Rainbow Dash," i say, standing up.
"Cool name, Rainbow Dash. See ya later." And with that, he's gone. I'm flying slowly back to my room. I lay down on my bed. By now it's eight, and I would normally be out and about, but I think I might be sick. My heart is racing and I feel sweaty.

6 AM
When I wake up, I have no want to go downstairs. I have a massive headache and my heart is pounding fervently. I'll probably get in trouble with Grouchy Desk Unicorn if I don't go to classes, so I drag my flank out of bed...and immediately fall flat on my face. 'Ow,' I think, rubbing my muzzle. I get up and walk to the school floor. In the cafeteria, I grab my tray of -ick- oatmeal. But where to sit? I notice Soarin sitting at an almost-empty table. He catches my eye and smiles. I grin in response and head over.
"Hey Rainbow Dash. Bump into any other ponies during the night?" he winks at me casually. Omigosh, the hottest stallion ever is flirting with me! My heart skips a beat in squee-ness.
"Nopony important," I tease.
Oh what is in this oatmeal? I push my bowl away, no longer hungry. Soarin laughs, and it's the happiest sound in the world.
"Yeah, Mint Leaf is really nice, but her special talent definitely isn't cooking."
"No, it really isn't. I don't know whether I'm going to survive that long here, if this is the food." actually, I can just go to my parents restaurant in Cloudsdale, but not every day.
"I dunno," he replies sultrily, "You might find that food isn't the most important thing."
Just as I open my mouth to say something flirty, the bell rings for the first class. We both jump up and fly quickly to Flight History.
"Hey, fancy meeting you here," I flirt as we trot through the doorway.
"Fancy meeting you here, milady." he bows ridiculously and I suppress a laugh. We sit next to each other and he keeps staring at me. Each time I only catch him because I'm staring at him too. We both blush and duck our heads each time it happens. Something lands in my lap suddenly. I look down at it. It's a piece of paper with a smiley face scrawled on it and the word Soarin. I look over at the stallion and we both blush again.
After class we walk down the hall together, flirting and laughing.
"Hey, I've gotta dash. Catch ya later?" he looks disappointed.
"Yep, Dashie. Catch ya later."

9 PM
I lay on my bed, absolutely exhausted after today's events. I don't know whether I can stand all these boring classes. The first one, with Soarin, was fun, but that was cause Soarin was there. We never did catch each other later. I should sleep now, but My brain is whirri- Tap Tap! Somepony's knocking on my door.
"Come in!" i call, too lazy to drag my flank out of bed. The door opens and I see Soarin standing there with a mischievous grin on his face..
"Hey dashie, you busy?"
"Um, nope." i grin back at him.
"Well, would you come with me to Central Park?"
"....Sure!!"
he grins and we fly down the hall.
Grouchy Desk Mare scowls at us as we fly by her.
Once we're out the door, Soarin turns toward me.
"Race you to that cloud up there!" With that, he darts off as fast as he can.
I open my wings and flap them as hard as I can. The cloud isn't that far off, but Soarin wins.
"Hmmph. You cheated." I fake pout, crossing my hooves in front of me.
"I wouldn't call it cheating...I'd call it using an advantage."
I grin in spite of myself.
"And that's also..what I call...this." he leans toward me.
My mouth meets his, and we're enveloped in each other and all I can think about is how good it feels.
Our wings both open and we slowly rise up in the air.
We hover there for about five minutes, just kissing. Eventually we break off and stare at each other.
"Soarin.."
"Yeah?"
"I love you."
