//-------------------------------------------------------// Razors' Edge -by Demonic Dragon- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2 Tuesday //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2 Tuesday Razor slowly walked through the schools halls. His saddle bag was on his back; filled with the necessary books and equipment needed for the day. This was his first day of attending the friendship school. And, he was already feeling single out by the others. As he walked through the halls to his first class. He noticed how some students were purposely avoiding him. Normally he would not be bothered by the acts. But, every now and then he would be emotionally hurt by the acts. He turned down another hall; heading right for the gym. Today, his first class of the day was gym. When he reached the doors he slowly opened them. Inside the gym he saw the six students he had met yesterday. None of them seemed to pay him any attention. “As I assumed.” Razor mumbled to himself before walking over to the bleachers. He sat down on the bottom row; using his magic to set his saddlebag down. He then took a book he had packed for himself out of the bag. It was a book on daggers and other large knives. Ocellus noticed Razor sitting alone on the bleachers. She wanted to go speak with him. But, after yesterday the idea quickly went to the back of her head. At the moment her and her friends were sitting in the middle of the gym. Each of them were talking to each other about yesterday. Some of them talked about how boring some of their classes are. Or, how easy most of them were. At one point Gallus had made a funny comment. Causing all of them to have a good laugh. As she laughed Ocellus found herself looking at Razor again. Watching as he sat on the bleachers; focusing only on the book he read. “Everything okay, Ocellus?” Smolder asked. Ocellus jumped when she was suddenly asked the question. It made her friends chuckle a little. Making her blush in embarrassment. While Smolder rubbed the back of her head. Chuckling a little at her unintentional scare. “Sorry, Ocellus.” Smolder apologized. Ocellus smiled and laughed a little also, “It's okay Smolder.” She responded. “Anyway,” Smolder began, “What's on your mind?” She asked. Ocellus motioned her head towards Razor. Her friends looked in the direction she had motioned towards. Gallus shook his head while sighing heavily. “What are you worried about that jerk for?” He asked in a really uncaring tone. Sandbar looked at Gallus, “Hey, not cool Gallus. He's not a jerk.” He said causing Gallus to glare at him. “Tell that to my sore cr-.” Gallus was interrupted by the gym doors opening. The sound of a whistle was heard echoing through the gym. The students got to their feet and made their way to Coach Dash. Who stood just in front of the entrance to the gym. Razor looked up from his book. He saw the other students in his class gathering in front of the mare from yesterday. He put his book back into his saddlebag and walked over. Standing with the others in his class as Coach dash began to march in front of them. “Alright,” She began in a loud tough voice, “As you all already know. We have a new student joining our class today,” She continued before her gaze focused on Razor, “So, everybody, please give a warm welcome to Razor Edge.” She finished introducing the colt to his classmates. Nobody bothered to look at him. Since they were already acquainted with him. The silence that followed was a little awkward. But, thankfully Rainbow dash broke the silence with a clearing of her throat. Her students focused on her; just as she flew up. Only to fly to the gym; her students followed her to the center. Once they stood in front of her again she spoke. “Okay, class,” She began, “Today, my class is going to be a little longer than usual,” She informed causing everyone-except for Razor-to look at her in confusion, “Reason why is because Fluttershy; had an animal emergency at home. So, for today you're spending first and second period here.” She finished causing them all to groan in annoyance. “Sounds interesting.” Razor said in response. Rainbow dash then blew her whistle and began to put the class through their exercises. First it was three running laps around the gym. Followed by rope climbing and weight lifting. By the time they reached the class reached weight lifting. Most of them were starting to run on fumes. The only ones still going were Smolder, Gallus, and Razor. Smolder and Gallus were obvious; Their species were more built for repetitive physical activity. While as for Razor; he acted more like a robot. Whenever he was told to do something. He would just do it. By the time the class ended; the entire class was doing their best to catch their breaths. “Take five everyone!” Rainbow yelled causing her students release a sigh of relief. Some of them dropped to the floor. While others walked to the bleachers to sit and rest. Razor had separated himself form everyone again. He walked back to the area he sat in before; using his magic to pull his book out again. Ocellus watched as Razor sat by himself in the gym. She didn't like the though of anybody sitting by themselves. With a sigh she stood up and walked over to him. When she was close enough she sat down next to him. She stayed quiet at first; she just simply sat there staring forward. While he read his book. She then cleared her throat and prepared to speak. “You're name is Ocellus,” Razor suddenly said in his robotic like voice, “We met yesterday in the library.” He finished before turning to another page. Like Smolder yesterday; she was left with her mouth hanging open. She quickly closed her maw and though about what to say. She was about to speak but Rainbows' whistle interrupted her. Everyone in the gym got in front of Rainbow dash as fast as they could. “Alright, breaks over!” She said in a serious tone, “For the second part of this class; we will be doing an endurance test,” She continued causing worried looks to appear on the students faces', “So lets get started with one-hundred sit ups.” She finished before blowing her whistle. The students were put through five different sets of exercises. First it was the one-hundred sit ups. After that she had her students run in place. That was when they lost Yona and Sandbar. The third was one-hundred leg lifts. They lost Silverstream to that exercise. The fourth was ten weighted jumping jacks. By the time they reached one hundred push ups. It was just Ocellus, Smolder, Gallus, and Razor left. For the last part Rainbow dash joined them. “Come on!” Rainbow yelled, “Only fifty more to go!” She finished earning herself a couple of groans. She chuckled to herself as she continued to do the exercises. “Ocellus.” Razor had suddenly said. “Yes, Razor.” She replied as she struggled to push herself back up. “Will you please stop staring at my flank. I find it annoying when ponies stare at me.” He said causing Ocellus to fall to the floor in shock. Both Rainbow dash and Smolder came to a sudden stop. Neither of them could believe what he had just said. Gallus was still doing the exercise; but, he was snickering a little. Causing Ocellus to blush a little in shame. “Gallus can you please do the same.” Razor spoke sending Gallus to the floor in shock. Rainbow dash could not hold it back anymore. She fell to the floor laughing loudly; causing a huge blush to appear on Gallus's face. She laughed until her stomach started to hurt. While Razor had finished the exercise. Once she manged to pull herself together; she blew her whistle and told them to hit the shows. Razor stood calmly underneath the running water. His mane becoming drenched and draping over his eyes. As he stood there; he was suddenly spun around and pressed against the wall. His face remaining void of emotion. While Gallus glared at him in anger. “Gallus, calm down!” Sandbar yelled. “What in the name of tartarus is your problem!” Gallus yelled at Razor. “Asperger's.” Razor replied calmly causing Gallus to press him further into the wall. “You know what I mean!” Gallus spoke in anger. “No, I do not,” Razor responded, “All I did was ask you and Ocellus to stop staring at my flank.” He finished. Gallus tightened his grip on Razor, “You didn't need to say it out,” He stopped when he noticed that Razor was looking down, “Hey, look at me when I am talking to you!” He yelled. Razor looked back up at him, “You forgot about your species.” He said. “What!?” Gallus screeched ready to use his talon on him. Razor kept his calm look, “You forgot about your species. When a male enters conflict with another male,” He then looked back down and Gallus followed his gaze. His eyes going wide at what he saw, “Your kind grows a-.” “Ah!” Gallus yelled as he backed away; sat down and used his talons to cover himself. His face was as red as a apple. “No, need to be ashamed,” Razor tried to reassure, “It is a natural response for you. I believe there is book in the library. If you want I can.” He was interrupted by Sandbar suddenly grabbing Gallus. Sandbar smiled nervously, “Excuse us, Razor.” He said while dragging Gallus out of the locker room. Razor stood there, blinked his eyes once and turned around. He walked back and sat down underneath the running water. A sigh escaped from him as he looked down at the pooling water bellow. His reflection stared back up at him. With a gentle flip of his hoof; he flicked the water and distorted his image. “I wish I wasn't so different.” He mumbled to himself before using his magic to shut off the water. He then used his magic to grab a towel to dry himself off. Once he dried off; he picked up his saddlebag and walked out of the locker room. Entering a now empty gym; he sighed again as he began to walk towards the gyms exit. Ready to finish his first school day. Author's Note Chapter two hope you all enjoy. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3 Wednesday //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3 Wednesday Fluttershy waited eagerly for her students to enter her classroom. Yesterday, she had to miss a day of school. But, it was a real emergency; her bear friend had fallen asleep on top of a rabbit burrow. Although, she knew how stubborn he was. She wasn't going to let him trap her rabbit friends in their own home. At first she tried using his favorite food, Fish. But, he managed to ignore it. She tried reasoning with him; only to have him snore loudly at her. Unfortunately, that left her with only one final option. Her stare! Although she really didn't like using it; she knew being able to do something like that would come in handy. She sighed and continued to wait for her students. Thankfully, she did not have to wait to long. Her door opened and one by one her students walked in. Each of them greeting her before sitting at their desks. She took notice of the new student Twilight had informed her about. She was happy to see a new face in her class. The bell rang and her class started. She was very excited for today. Because, she had a very special surprise for her students. She could hear them all talking to one another; she looked to her desk and nodded. On the desk stood one of her woodpecker friends; it tweeted happily. Before it rapidly tapped her desk. Not only silencing everyone; but also also causing everyone to look at her. “Good morning class.” Fluttershy greeted happily. “Good morning. Professor, Fluttershy.” All of them greeted back. Fluttershy smiled as she checked to see if everyone was present. When she was done; she looked up at her new student, “I see we have a new student with us today,” She said happily while some of her students groaned a little, “I'm Professor, Fluttershy. What's your name?” She asked. “Razor edge,” He replied, “Nice to meet you.” He finished his voice sounding as caring as Maud's. Fluttershy nodded her head happily; before her gaze shifted to all of the class, “Now, I have some very important guests visiting our class today,” She informed causing everyone to look at each other. She smiled happily, “Everyone let me introduce you all to my bird friends.” She finished just as many birds entered her classroom from an open window. The class were in awe at the number of birds that entered her classroom. Some of them laughed while other hid themselves in fear. Smolder looked at them all in wonder; the only birds she knew of were roc's. Predatory birds that fed on young dragons during the molt. So to see a large number of smaller ones. Including those of different colors. Well it surprised her greatly. Then, with a small whistle the birds descended upon the desks. A bluejay had landed on Razor's desk; it looked at him and tweeted happily, “You're feathers are blue,” Razor began, “I hate blue.” He finished. Everyone looked at him with looks of disgust. They could have sworn they saw the bird frowning. It also looked like it was about to shed a tear. Before, it flew off and landed back on Fluttershy's desk. The bird earned itself a few gentle pats on the head. It smiled and flew off to meet another student. “Yona, no like new student,” Yona whispered to Silverstream, “Don't think he belongs in this school.” She finished. Silverstream nodded in agreement, “He's so rude,” She commented while another in their class turned towards them, “I still can't believe he wasn't punished for what he did to Gallus on Monday.” She added while Yona nodded. “What did he do?” Asked their classmate. As the three whispered amongst themselves; Razor had used his magic to pull out his journal. He set it on his desk and opened to a page with a half drawn sword. As he began to draw he payed little attention to his classmates around him. Some of them were amazed at how detailed his drawings were. While others worried about his odd obsession with swords. Was it healthy for a colt that young to be interested in weapons? Yes, weapons are apart of every creatures in Equestria's history. But, now in their time. It was just odd to them to see somepony with a weapon obsession. Especially, with a single type of weapon. Another rapid series of taps drew their attention back to Fluttershy. While the birds flew to various perches that were set up behind her desk. The students looked confused as Fluttershy stood in front of the birds. She smiled in excitement as her birds readied themselves. “Now class,” She began making sure she had everyone's attention. She coughed a little when she saw Razor still drawing in his journal. Her cough caught his attention and stopped drawing, “I am going to show something I taught all of these birds to do,” She explained before looking at the birds, “Ready?” She asked receiving a nod from one of the birds. When Razor saw her pick up a baton; he knew what she was about to do. Using his magic he opened his saddle bag again. This time he pulled out a pair of ear muffs; which he quickly placed over his ears. Yona could not believe what the colt had done. Not only did he insult one of Fluttershy's birds. But, now he was going to ignore them. Just before they started to sing. With a huff she got out of her desk and made her way to him. Just before Fluttershy waved her baton; Yona had grabbed his ears muffs and pulled them off. Razor gasped before the birds stared to sing. “No.” Razor groaned as he brought his hooves up to cover his ears. Yona shook her head in annoyance; before trying to pull his hooves back down, “Listen to their song.” She almost yelled. “No,” He shouted, “No! No! No!” He started to scream. Fluttershy quickly got her birds quiet; while the class looked over at the two. A few students screamed in fear. As Razor used his magic to lift Yona up and throw her. A few students scrambled out of their desks. Just before she was sent crashing into them. Yona's friends' quickly got to her side; while Razor brought his hooves back up to his ears. He then started to make a rather annoying groaning sound. Smolder growled and quickly walked over to Razor. Pushing him down onto his back hard, “What's the matter with you!?” She growled. “Smolder, calm.” Fluttershy began to say before another student interrupted her. “Yeah, what's you're problem!?” One of the fillies in her class yelled. A earth colt stood up, “You could have hurt Yona! What were you thinking?” The colt asked while Razor looked at them in horror, “What are you stupid?” The colt finished. Fluttershy gasped, “Rough Terrain, we do not.” “He's not stupid,” Another colt said this one a unicorn. Fluttershy sighed in relief; happy to see somepony defending him, “He's like my cousin, Half baked. He's retarded!” He finished causing Fluttershy's eyes' to go wide in shock. “Yeah, You're right, he is retarded.” A filly pegasus responded. Razor looked around hearing all of them yelling at him. Hearing them calling him names. Names he had though he had gotten used to. But, once again he could feel a single tear run down from his face. Smolder had little time to react when she saw Razor shoot to his hooves. Everyone watched as Razor ran out of the classroom. Some of them yelling for him to run. While others were more worried about Yona. When the class calmed down; they were met with the disappointed stare of Fluttershy. It was then all them felt and icy cold wind blow past them. They still felt it as their teacher ran after Razor. Razor was running as fast as he could through the halls of the school. Tears ran down his face like rivers. He burst through the door and ran out of the school. He didn't know where he was going. He didn't care what he was doing. The only thing he cared about was getting away from all of it. The names, the screams, shouts, everything. He needed to get away from everything. He stopped running when he was in front of the school. He panted loudly as he turned to look back at the school. “I'm sorry.” He apologized before he started running again. Heading in the direction of his home. A place that was quiet. Her and her friends-except for Yona and Gallus- were at sugar cube corner. A popular sweets restaurant in the middle of town. Today, at school was more difficult than usual. Because, head mare Twilight, was informed about the events from yesterday. The students had to sit through a special presentation on the special needs. To say that it was boring would be and understatement. Smolder swore she had dozed off every fifteen minutes. Sandbar also fell asleep every now and than. At one point it showed a filly with a different form of autism. She was screaming her head off and her parents were holding her down. It scared Ocellus to a point where she turned into a mouse. Yes, today was rather boring. More, so for Gallus and Yona. Since they both earned after school detention. “And, here are your shakes.” The voice of Pinkie pie happily said. The students thanked her as she placed their shakes in front of them. Each of them enjoying their own favorite flavor. As they drank their shakes. Ocellus stopped for a moment and stared down at the table. Silverstream noticed her friends change in mood. “Everything, okay Ocellus?” Silverstream asked. Ocellus shook her head, “Guys,” She began causing everyone to look at her, “Would I be considered a bad changeling; if I wished Twilight would expel Razor already?” She asked. Smolder almost spat out some of her shake. Before she swallowed hard, “Ocellus, you are not alone. I can name a few students, including myself, who would be happy to see him go.” She finished as she began to take another drink from her shake. The others nodded in agreement; Ocellus felt a little better knowing her thoughts were mutual. But, she still felt a little horrible on the inside. She never wished anything bad on any creature. But, Razor, he was just too different. She blushed as she remembered what had happened on tuesday. When he had asked her to stop staring at his flank. Yes, she would look up every now and then to see how the others were doing. But, she never stared at any of them. Especially not at their flanks. She released a irritated growl. Silverstream spoke up, “Do you all think we should tell Twilight how we feel?” She asked. Sandbar shook his head, “I don't think it would do any good,” He replied as he took another sip from his shake, “After all she put us through that student rally this morning.” He finished earning him a nod from Silverstream. The four finished their shakes in silence. Once finished each of them payed and prepared themselves to leave. Then a sudden slamming of the restaurants door caught their attention. They saw Yona panting heavily and scanning the restaurant. When she saw them she ran towards them; causing her friends to brace for impact. Thankfully, she stopped herself just an inch in front of the table. “Smolder!” She shouted. “Yeah, Yona?” Smolder asked in an uneasy tone. It took Yona a moment to catch her breath, “Smolder, your lord dragon is here!” She said. Smolder gasped loudly after what she had heard. What was Dragon Lord Ember doing in Ponyville. She was not aware of any visit or follow up report. So, why was the Dragon lord here. She was about to ask why she was here. But, Yona answered her question before she could even ask. “Razor is speaking to her now!” It was that statement that made her dragon blood run colder. She knew that if Lord Ember had heard him say his dislike of the color blue. He may start a war with the dragons and ponies. She moved faster than she had ever moved before. She slammed the door open and took flight. From above she looked for her dragon lord. She found her just outside of Principal Twilight's castle. She then saw Razor and immediately nosed dived. Before he could react; she tackled him down to the ground. Growling loudly as she pinned him down to the ground. “Smolder!” Both Twilight and Ember shouted in surprise. Smolder looked towards the two and saw the shock on their faces. She quickly brought her claws up, “Lord, Ember, Please forgive this colt,” She growled a little as she looked down at him, “He didn't mean to offend you, honest.” She finished hoping her dragon lord would believe her. Ember had a confused look on her face, “Smolder, what are you talking about?” She asked. Before Smolder could reply Razor spoke, “Smolder, will you please get off of me,” He said causing her to look down at him. She saw him tilt his head backwards, “I believe that group of ponies; is assuming we are attempting the act of procreation. In the middle of town while our species leaders observe.” He finished. Smolder followed his gaze and she ended up going numb. There was a group of ponies in front of them. Each of them snickering and laughing as they looked at them. Smolder, then grew aware of how she was sitting on him. She screamed and quickly got off of him. She started to hear laughter and it made her blush more. She unfolded her wings and took flight. She flew faster than she ever had before. Razor sat up and dusted himself off. “Razor, are you okay?” Twilight asked/ Razor nodded, “Yes,” He looked back towards Ember, “As I was saying before Smolder tackled me. Can you spare some of the items on the list I gave you?” He asked. Ember looked at the list the young colt had given her. Her eyes' carefully scanning the parchment in her claw. She was intrigued by the items he was requesting. Crystal ingots? Brybark root? A dragons gas bladder? She looked up, “Why do you need all this young colt?” She asked. His answer was in the form of another piece of paper. He handed it to her; and she looked at the paper. It was the image of a sword on the paper; she was amazed at how detailed it was, “Ah, you are trained in a dying skill,” She said before handing him back his drawing, “I'll see what I can do with the ingots and Brybark root,” She unfolded her wings ready to take flight for the dragon lands, “The gas bladder may be a stretch though.” She finished and he nodded before she took flight. Razor then looked at Twilight, “Head-mare, Twilight?” He asked. “Yes, Razor?” She replied. He handed her a rolled up scroll; she opened it and read it word for word. She rolled it up and looked at him, “How many days would you need?” She asked. “Just tomorrow,” Razor replied, “It will help me catch up one two orders I need to finish.” He finished receiving a nod from her. “Okay,” She replied, “Just come to my office after the first bell and I'll write you an excuse.” She finished. “Thank you.” Razor replied before he turned and walked away. Heading back towards his home. Twilight released a sigh as she unfolded her wings and took flight. She had to find Smolder; because knowing that poor dragon. She was taking her embarrassed rage out on some tree somewhere. She shook her head a little, “This is a little more challenging than I though.” She commented to herself. Author's Note Chapter 4. it is shorter than the previous chapter. but, after Chapter 5 that is when everything will start being longer. so all of you who are reading, liking, commenting, one more short chapter and then its going to be long chapters. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 5 Friday //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 5 Friday Gallus walked through the halls with a angry look. Yesterday, both him and Yona had detention. Detention! All because of that freak who is completely out of his mind. Oh, if he didn't hate that colt already. He was very, very, very close to hatting the jerk. His friends walked beside him; Yona was just as angry as he was. Smolder and Ocellus even had looks of anger. The only one who wasn't angry was Sandbar. But, even he was getting close to it. Gallus growled, “When I get my claws on that colt,” He growled again in anger, “Oh, I am going to show him what an angry gryphon can do!” He finished. Yona nodded her head, “Yona, show punk how Yak smash their enemies!” She huffed loudly, “YAK SMASH ENEMY BEST!” She finished. Smolder exhaled some fire, “Save some for me!” She growled. Ocellus and Sandbar stayed quiet as they walked through the halls. As they turned down a hall; They saw the colt who was causing so much trouble. Each of them were surprised; not because of seeing him. But, because of where they saw him leave. He had just walked out of the head-mare's office. Not only that; he was walking towards the exit of the school. All of them felt a sense of happiness enter their minds. Razor had been expelled from the school. But, they had to make sure it was real. With a quick vote, Ocellus, found herself walking towards the door to Twilight's office. She gently knocked on the door. The others waited patiently for her to return with the news. Thankfully, they did not have to wait for too long. Each of them were eager to hear what she had to say. But, their looks changed from wonder to worry. For, she was slightly frowning. When she was close enough she sighed heavily. “He hasn't been expelled,” She said causing all of them to groan in annoyance. They looked at her with looks of confusion, “Apparently, he had to be excused from school today. So, that he could catch up on his job.” She finished. “Wait, job?” Gallus questioned, “He has a job?” He asked. Ocellus nodded, “Complete, Bull!” Smolder suddenly shouted, “That, jerk's just skipping school. Because he's afraid of what hes got coming to him.” She finished fire shooting from her maw again. “I say we go and see his 'job' after school.” Yona suggested; she received nods from all of them just as the bell rang for first class. When the school day came to an end. Each of them met at the front of the school. Thankfully, while Ocellus was talking to Twilight. She had asked where he lived. She told her that his family was located just outside of Ponyville. They followed her as she lead the way to his home. The walk was quite a ways. But, they did eventually reach Razor's home. His home looked almost like Fluttershy's cottage. Except it was built into the side of a small grassy hill. The hill acted as the the roof of the home. On the grassy roof was Razor's mother. She was tending to a small garden; half of the garden was flowers. While the other half was of various vegetables. The noticed behind the home a large amount of smoke rose into the air. As they walked closer to the small home; Razor's mothers took notice of them. She smiled and waved at them. They waved back in response. They watched as she slowly walked down from the roof. When she stood in front of them; she smiled happily. “Hello,” She greeted them happily, “What brings you all here today?” She asked. All of them looked to Ocellus; who grinned nervously, “Um, well,” She began as the mare waited patiently for her response, “We saw Razor wasn't in class today.” She said. “Ah,” She interrupted Ocellus with a nod, “Well, no need to worry youngin. He's around back working in his forge,” She turned around while they looked at each other in confusion, “Come, I'll show y'all.” She finished before she started walking. The group followed her behind the home. What they saw surprised all of them; behind the home was a small hut. Inside the hut was Razor; he was wearing a welding helmet and a large leather apron. In his magical hold he held a large hammer. Which he brought down hard onto a anvil. They watched as small amounts of sparks flew from the anvil every time he would bring down the hammer. They watched as he set the hammer back down. Then, with his magic he lifted up a glowing piece of metal from the anvil. None of them could believe what they were seeing. He was forging a sword right in front of them. They watched as he placed the glowing sword into water. Watching as steam rose from the water he had dunked it in. When his mother moved closer they moved closer. She stopped just in front of the forge. “Razor,” She called out to her son as he brought the sword out of the water, “Razor, you have visitors.” She finished he looked towards her with his helmet on. Through it he could see his classmates standing behind her. He brought up his left hoof and flipped his helmet up. “Hello, everyone.” He greeted before he walked over to a large sharpening rock. Razor's mother smiled before she looked back at the group, “I'll leave y'all be.” She said before walking away. The group stood at the entrance of the forge in shock. All this time Razor was telling the truth. He really did have a job. And, it was in sword forging? The watched in awe as the rock began to spin. Allowing him to sharpen the edges of the sword he was making. None of them had a single word to say. “What do you all need?” He suddenly asked snapping them out of it. “We....we though.” Sandbar began. “That I had lied just to get out of school,” He interrupted him as he set the sword back on the anvil, “I am used to it.” He added before taking hold of two pieces of brybark root in his magical hold. They watched as he used his magic to wrap the root around the end of the sword. They were shocked in disbelief once again. He had used his magic in a way; that the blade part of the sword looked as if it had grown from the wood of the root. He then made small openings in the handle. With his magic he levitated a small pouch in front of him. From the patch he pulled out five different crystals. Three of them were rubies. One was an emerald. The third was a sapphire. Razors parents watched with smiles from their home. They felt so happy for their child. Yes, they had been to multiple schools. But, he would never make any friends. So to see a group of creatures watching him as he made a sword. After a few minutes they watched a small cloud of magical smoke fly off from the forge. Meaning he had just completed an order. They watched as the group talked with him for a little bit. Just before they began to walk away. The parents looked at each other and hugged. Happy that their son was making friends. Author's Note As I said last small chapter. after this chapters will be longer. hope you all enjoy. and I thank all of you for commenting and leaving likes. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 6 Saturday //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 6 Saturday Razor wiped the sweat from his forehead as he closed his forge. Today, he had just finished four different orders. Profiting a little over seven-hundred bits that day. He felt proud of himself. Once he had locked up his forge; he walked into his home. The moment he stepped in he heard the voices of his parents. He moved slower; so that his steps were softer against the wooden floor. When he reached the door to the kitchen. He pressed his ear against the door. He could hear his parents on the other side. “Must we have this conversation, now?” The voice of his father asked. “We have to make sure our son is taken care of when we are no longer around,” The voice of his mother responded, “We know how to take care of him. But, there are not many who understand his condition. We know it; only because we've gone to group meetings and we have books on it. But, other ponies,” She paused for a moment, “Other ponies think colts and fillies that are like him. Are nothing but brats.” She finished. Razor was silent as he listened to his parents talk. He agreed with his mother; many ponies did not understand him. He also knew it wasn't his fault. But, it didn't stop him from feeling like it was. There were many times they had conversations like this. They would think he was not there. When really he was listening in on their conversation. He heard them when they talked about how difficult it had been at times. How because of his disability it was costing them a lot of bits. That was what influenced his decision to use his fondness of swords and sword making; to help his parents with the bits. He knew he was different, he knew his disability was challenging and hard to understand. But, that was not what made him feel sad or upset. No, it was the fact of his complete existence as a colt. Who by sheer bad luck had to be born with a mental defect. He sighed before setting the bits down and walking back out. He had a feeling his parents could do without him for an afternoon. Or, maybe a night. Maybe even the remainder of their lifetimes. “They wouldn't miss me,” He said to himself as he walked away from his home, “After all they could make more.” He finished as he continued to walk; heading in the direction of the Ponyville lake. (Location:Castle of the two sisters) The students were gathered at the castle of the two sisters. Ever since their first visit to the forgotten place; it had become a nice place for them to get away from the world. A way for all of them to relax together. And, after the week they had each of them needed to be here. Ocellus, Smolder, and Silverstream were each resting on a bean bag chair they had brought. While the others were playing a game of catch. Gallus seemed to be really focused on the game. For, there were times he would throw the ball to hard or suddenly start giving off competitive grunts. Sandbar caught the ball and held onto it, “Gallus,” He spoke causing everyone to look at him, “Are you still upset about Tuesday?” He asked. Gallus snorted loudly as he looked down to the floor, “Yeah.” He answered. Silverstream then spoke, “I though you and Ocellus let that go,” She said as she looked towards said Changeling; who looked away from her, “Both of you know he didn't mean to embarrass both of you.” She finished. To that Ocellus replied, “We know,” She sighed heavily, “It's just......you don't say something like that out loud.” She finished. Everyone knew exactly what the two were talking about. It was on Tuesday; The two were horribly embarrassed by him. He had told both of them to stop staring at his flank. He embarrassed Gallus again in the locker-room. Where Gallus had pushed him against the shower wall; trying to threaten him. But, during that time also he reminded him of certain affect combat had on gryphons. He thanked Sandbar up and down for saving him. “Don't forget about what he did to me on Wednesday.” Yona commented. None of them had forgotten what happened that day. How Razor had insulted one of Miss Fluttershy's birds. Had a tantrum as Yona tried to make him listen to birds song. He then threw her across the room. Screamed and moaned annoyingly; only to end up getting both Yona and Gallus thrown in detention. Which was completely unfair to the two. He was the one disturbing the class. And, yet, those two were punished. “At least he didn't embarrass you both in front of your leaders.” Smolder spoke. All of them knew what she meant. It was when her dragon lord had visited Ponyville. It surprised her for Ember had not informed her of a visit. And, when Yona had told her Razor was talking to her. Well, she flew like Quetzalcoatl was on her tail. She had tackled the colt and tried to apologize to her lord. But, Razor had to point out a group of ponies had seen the position they were in. She felt embarrassed and flew as far away as she could. It was later that day she had found out about why Ember was in Ponyville. Apparently, Razor had asked Twilight about her connection to the dragon lord. He then asked Spike about it; then through Spike he had set up a small meeting. He was making a deal with dragon lord Ember for the trade of five hundred crystalline ingots and three hundred metal ingots. She did not know why he need those but she really didn't care. He embarrassed her in front of everypony. And, she was not going to forgive that......freak for that one. All of them sat in silence for a little bit. None of them wanting to talk anymore. Each of them were wondering; how long were they going to have to put up with Razor. Would he ever get in trouble? Would the school change again because of him? Would he get them all expelled? Silverstream shook her head and flew up. “Hey, guys?” She asked causing the group to look up at her, “How about we all head to the lake. We haven't been there for awhile and I think we could use a visit.” She suggested. Her friends looked at one another; they smiled and then nodded. They got up from where they sat and made their way to the castle exit. Silverstream was right; all of them could use a visit to the lake. It was a place where they all really got to know one another. A place where they could actually have fun. A place where all of them felt at peace. (Location: Ponyville lake) The students sat calmly along the water-banks of the Ponyville lake. Silverstream, had a very good idea. Because the lake was a very good place for all of them to relax. Which was what all of them were doing. Smolder and Gallus rested against Yona; who was napping on a blanket she had brought with her. While Ocellus and Sandbar were skipping stones. Silver stream had turned into her sea-pony form and enjoyed a swim in the lake. “Ha,” Ocellus laughed as she flew into the air, “I win again.” She finished as she landed back down on the ground. Sandbar laughed along with her before he asked, “How do you make the stones go so far?” He got his answer when Ocellus held up a very smooth and flat small rock. “You want to find a small rock about like this,” She began before bringing her right hoof back, “You also want to angle your throw a little bit. That way your not throwing it directly at the water.” She finished before she threw the rock. The rock skipped off the lakes surface about five times; before finally loosing its momentum and sinking below the waters surface. At the time Silverstream had propelled herself out of the water and turned back into her original form. She flew just above as she flew back to the shore. When she was close enough she landed on the beach. “This is nice,” She said as she looked out across the lake. Smiling happily as the suns light reflected off the waters surface. Making it sparkle like the stars at night, “I'm glad I thought about coming here.” She finished. The others agreed before they joined the other three. All of them rested against Yona; who was smiling happily in her sleep. It was a good day to be at the lake; it was nice and warm with a cool breeze blowing through. It was a day where everything was just perfect. Ocellus began to yawn a quiet yawn. Her eyes blinked a couple of times; before she saw a figure sitting along the edge of the lake. When she focused her sight on the figure her eyes went wide in surprise. “Razor.” She said in astonishment. What she said woke Gallus, Yona, and Smolder from their peaceful slumber. While Silverstream and Sandbar focused their attention on their classmate. He sat there at the edge of the lake; looking out at its surface. Just staring out at its beautiful surface. They looked at one another before they each got up and began to walk towards him. Razor focused all his attention on the waters surface. He could hear the sound of multiple footsteps walking towards him. But, he did not care. He was there to clear his mind. When the steps had come to a stop; he looked over to see who was near him. He saw his classmates standing next to him. But, he did not care. He turned to look back out at the lake. “Hello to you too, Razor.” Gallus said in a sarcastic tone. He hated it whenever Razor would do that. “Hello to all of you,” Razor replied in his typical robotic-like voice, “Now, please. Leave me alone.” He finished. Three of his classmates gave off growls of irritation. While the rests just shook their head. All but Ocellus started to walk back to where they were. She did not know why; but, for some reason she she felt there was something Razor was not telling them. Slowly, she walked around him and sat down next to him. “I asked nicely to be left alone.” Razor said while keeping his sight on the water. Ocellus nodded, “I know,” She replied while moving close to him, “Are you okay?” She asked. “No.” He answered. The others stopped and turned back to look at the two. Ocellus had a look of concern appear on her face, “What's wrong?” She asked. “I am a burden on my parents,” Razor answered which stunned everyone to silence, “They would have an easier life if I was never born.” He finished. Everyone gasped at what he had said. Never, had they ever heard any-creature say such a thing. They others had started to walk back to them. While Ocellus had shot to her hooves. “Razor!” She began, “Why would you say that? Your parents wouldn't have an easier life! They wouldn't have you; their child.” She finished in a voice filled with shock. “And if I had not been born or had not been born with Asperger's. They would not be having a hard time,” His vision was focused on the lake still as he continued, “I've been to three different schools. Gotten into fights with other students; simply because of my condition. Teachers and principals have written me up on multiple occasions.” He stopped to take a breath while the others stood next to him and Ocellus, “I've been called a freak, bastard, idiot, retard, moron, son of a bitch, and a motherbucker,” If he was looking at his classmates; he would have probably been laughing. For, everyone had their mouths open and eyes wide in shock. Who knew he had such a colorful vocabulary, “I was six when I finally said my first words. They had to hire a specialist to teach me how to do everything a normal filly or colt could do. It cost them around six-hundred bits a session.” He took another breath; the more he explained. The more his words affected his classmates. Gallus and Smolder slightly gritted their teeth; not angry at his story. But, at their own ignorance; for they gave him some trouble in school on occasion. While the others were saddened by his story. The group sat in silence for a couple of minutes. That was until the silence was broken by Sandbar who asked, “Razor,” A silent pause passed before he continued, “What are you looking at?” He asked hoping to change the subject. “Nothing. I am just thinking.” Razor answered. “What are you thinking about?” Sandbar asked with slight hesitation. Razors' reply was one they did not expect, “If I should drown myself today or not.” Razor responded. All of them gasped in horror; each of them not believing what they had just heard. Ocellus moved in front of Razor. “Razor, why would you even think about doing that?!” She almost yelled in anger, “Your parents would.” “Probably, celebrate with a glass of white wine,” Razor interrupted her, “White wine is their favorite.” He finished. Smolder unintentionally released a growl, “Razor, are you out of your mind?” She mentally kicked herself for the poor choice of words, “Your parents would never celebrate your death. They would miss you.” She finished. “I repeat things, I hate certain noises because I find them annoying, I hate the color blue for some reason,” He listed off his faults, “Their is nothing good about me.” He finished. “What about your talent for making swords?” Yona asked. “That is the only good thing about me,” Razor responded, “There isn't anything else.” He finished. Sandbar spoke, “That's not true,” He argued, “I'm sure that there are ponies who would do anything to have a talent like yours.” He said. Razor looked at him, “And I would do anything to be normal like all of you,” He said causing all of them to flinch, “Did your parents have to go to special meetings to learn about you? Do your parents spend hundreds and hundreds of bits on doctor visits? Have you ever been hated and disliked. All because you were born the way you were?” He finished. All of them were shocked into silence. When he had said the last question; each of them had one word pop into their mind. Yes. Yes, when all of them had first attended Twilight's school. A member of EEA had called them dangerous creatures. Who should just stay with their own kind and stay away from ponies. Yes, they knew exactly how Razor felt. Because, just like Councilor, Neighsay. They treated him like he was a dangerous creature. All of them then saw a tear fall from his eye. “I need to leave,” Razor suddenly said as he tried to walk away, “I need to be somewhere quiet.” He finished. Silverstream suddenly moved in front of him, “No!” She said as she wrapped her front legs around him. Capturing him in a comforting hug. “Let me go.” He said. “No,” Silverstream repeated while making him look at her, “Razor, you don't need to suffer alone,” She spoke hoping that she was getting through to him, “You don't need to be sad.” She finished. “I'm not sad.” He replied. Gallus then spoke, “Razor,” He placed a caring claw on his shoulder, “Silverstream is right,” He continued as the others stood beside them, “We're here for you. There's no need to be sad.” Before Razor could respond he was captured in a large group hug. Although, many would already be overcome with emotion. He continued to have the same stoic expression as before, “I'm not sad,” He spoke but the hug only intensified, “I'm not sad,” he repeated again before his head dropped a little, “I'm......I'm.......I'm,” A single tear fell from his eye, “I'm sad,” he finally said. Although he did confirm his sadness; his stoic expression told a different story, “I don't like being sad.” He finished. Sandbar replied, “Razor,” He began, “All of us have been treating you poorly,” He admitted, “I know it may not mean much. But,” He looked at everyone who just nodded at him, “Razor, we're all very sorry. We promise to you; each of us will try and be better friends to you.” He finished. Razor looked towards him, “We're......friends?” he asked. His answer was a nod from all of them. They also smiled happily at him. “I've,” He began before he paused for just a second; allowing his brain to process the information, “I've never had friends before.” He finished. Smolder then spoke, “Well, you do now,” She then extended her claw to him, “What do you think about that?” She asked. It took Razor a moment to respond, “I.......I.......I like having friends.” He finally finished before reaching out to grab her claw. They had a small handshake and the group-along with Razor- walked back to their spot on the lake. As they walked; none of them-not even Razor himself- noticed the smile that had appeared on Razor's normally stoic face. Author's Note Chapter 6. It was covered by the dark of Luna's night. When it was close enough; it knelt down and took out a pair of binoculars. Through them they could see the house. It scanned every window slowly; searching for something or somepony. As it scanned the window; it eventually saw his parents. Both of them were sitting together happily in the living room. “Two traitors located,” It whispered to itself as it moved to another window, “Will deal with before moving on to target.” It finished. It scanned all the rooms of the house; once done it moved to another position. Giving it a clear view of the forge. When it looked through its binoculars again. It had a clear view of Razor; who had just finished what looked like a scimitar. But, the blade of the sword was covered in scales. A small pinging sound was heard. The creature put away its binoculars and pulled out a glowing white crystal. It placed it on the ground; from the crystal an image appeared. It was the image of a mare; who had a snow white coat and red mane. “Have you located the target?” The mare asked. The creature bowed before it answered, “My queen. Alpha target has been located. Along with the two traitors who had stolen him from us,” It informed before looking back up, “Give the word. And, I shall remind them what happens when they cross the Sabers.” It finished. The mare shook her head; before motioning for the creature to turn the crystal around. The creature did as it was instructed. When her gaze fell upon Razor a smile formed on her face. Followed by a single tear falling from her left eye. “After all these years. I have finally found you,” She said in an icy calm voice as a sinister grin stretched across her face, “We have finally found you,” She paused for a moment, “My dear.” She finished before the crystal stopped glowing. The creature picked the crystal up and shattered it in its grasp. It brought up its binoculars again; watching as Razor locked up his forge. Before, he walked into his home. Ready to turn in for the night. The creature released a silent breath; before it moved away from the home. Heading back towards the Everfree forest. (Location: School of Friendships' library.) Razor along with his new group of friends sat in the library together. Razor was currently drawing in his journal. Earlier that morning he had gotten and order. It was for a double bladed custom bastard sword. The customer wanted her name etched onto the blade. As for the hilt; she wanted it to be made out of metal. The color she chose for the hilt was black with white pearls. He was adding the last bit of shading as Gallus sat next to him. “Hey, Razor.” He greeted him Razor had ignored his friendly greeting, “How's your day going?” He asked. “Good,” Razor replied, “Yours?” He asked. Gallus sighed as the other joined them, “Hard, Professor Applejack had a huge test for us today.” He explained. “Ponyville colonization or Equestrian agriculture during the winter of wendigos?” Razor asked as he started to add the shading to the blade. “The later.” Gallus answered. Razor nodded his head; before finally looking up from his journal, “Difficult to understand. Books written on the subject are rare to find. Our school only has one copy of it.” He explained. Silverstream noticed the blade he was drawing, “Is this another order?” She asked. Razor nodded, “Yes, Ocean breeze wanted a bastard sword,” He began to explain while Ocellus gasped. He looked over at her, “What's wrong?” He asked. “Razor, language.” Ocellus warned him; while looking around to see if their Professors had heard him. “That is the name of the sword,” He explained, “Here we call them long-swords. From, where the clients from. The sword is called a bastard sword,” He got a nod from her after finishing his explanation, “She also wants her name etched onto the blade. And, the hilt, she wanted it to resemble a starry night sky.” He finished telling them how the customer wanted the sword made. “Dang,” Smolder commented, “How much does that sword cost?” She asked. “Seven-hundred.” Razor answered causing the dragoness to whistle at the price. “Do you have any other orders?” Yona asked. “A few,” Razor answered, “Do you all want to see?” He asked receiving nods from all of them. He passed the journal to Yona who flipped through the pages of the journal. One by one each of them saw the orders he had. There was a total of seven orders he had to complete. One of them being for three different daggers. And, another order being for two swords that would connected to one another. They were all amazed by his ability to draw the swords. But, what amazed them more was his ability to make the swords he had drawn. All of them were amazed by the images on the paper. But, it was when he went to forge the swords. That was what really impressed all of them. “Razor?” Sandbar asked. “Yes, Sandbar.” He replied. “How did you get into sword making?” He asked the others nodded at his question, “How did you discover your destiny?” He finished. Razor was silent for a moment. He took a deep breath and slowly exhaled, “It came to me in a dream.” He answered. “A dream?” Silverstream asked. Razor nodded, “Yes,” He responded as his horn lit up, “Allow me to show you all.” He finished before the library faded away. Surrounding all of them in nothing but darkness. They then heard the sound sound of metal hitting metal. Looking around their surroundings; trying to find where the sound was coming from. They got their answer in a matter of seconds. Two humans were fighting just a few feet away from them. One was holding a typical double edge sword. The other held a double edge as well. But, something looked different about it. The sword seemed to have a dark aura coming from its blade. They watched in awe and in fear as the two fought. Ocellus screamed in horror as the human with the dark sword; killed the other. Did Razor really have a dream like this? About two creatures killing each other in a duel. It was then another human stepped up. This one held a sword that was curled back. But, this human was different from the first one. It wasn't because it was holding a different sword. No, this human seemed younger; almost like a teenager. The fight continued; they watched in horror as fight after fight passed. Sometimes, the human with the dark sword would win. Other times the another human with a different blade. They began to wonder; why would Razor have a dream like this. Another human was about to fall to the wielder of the dark sword. The poor human was on its knees; possibly begging for its life. Oh, how they wanted to help it; but, that was when something amazing happened. A spark ignited on the humans sword. The blade was engulfed in a mighty flame; which slowly spread to the humans body. They though for sure the poor human had just lost its life. But, what happened next was something amazing. The human had gotten to its feet; its sword held at the ready. It looked as if it had more power than ever before. Then, from behind the human another appeared. This one looked like an adult female; who wore a hood over her head. She was also engulfed in the fire; her sword looked like what Razor had called a katanna. Another human appeared then another and another. Each one engulfed in the flame. What were they seeing; because this felt more like a message than a dream. It was then all of them caught sight of multiple familiar creatures. The first was a unicorn stallion; who carried a claymore on his back. The second an earth mare; who held a large dagger in her maw. The third a Pegasus mare; who carried a double bladed ax. A dragon was next to appear; he had a broadsword. A yak soon followed the dragon. Then a gryphon, a changeling, a hypogriff, a breezie, many other creatures of Equestria followed. Each one carrying a flame passed on from the others. It was at that moment they found themselves engulfed in the flames. In that moment Razor had stopped his spell. Bringing them out of the dream he had so many nights ago. The dream that somehow inspired him to forge swords. All of them were panting and breathing heavily. Before they looked at Razor; who stared back at them. His head fell a little. “I'm sorry.” He apologized. All of them shook their heads; before they reassured him he did nothing wrong. When the bell rang each of them got up and moved on to their next class. As they all entered the hallway; all of them were suddenly stopped by Councilor Starlight. “Razor,” She said, “You need to come with me right now.” She said. “Why? Is something wrong?” He asked. Starlight had an uneasy look on her face, “Just, come with me Razor,” She said, “Twilight will explain once we get to her office.” She finished. Razor nodded and followed her; while his friends looked at each other in worry. Once they had turned the corner. They began to follow them at a safe distance. They ignored the bell for their next class. None of them were worried about being absent. They were more worried about Razor. What was going on? Had something bad happened? Was he actually being expelled form the school now? They hoped it was nothing wrong. All of them were really hoping everything was okay. It didn't take any of them long to reach the door to Twilight's office. Inside Razor sat before Twilight who was staring down at her desk. She looked unsure; almost like she was in deep thought about something. He was about to ask her what was wrong. But, she stopped him by looking up at him. She then walked over to him and wrapped a caring wing around him. “Razor.” She spoke. “Yes, Twilight.” He responded wondering why she needed to speak with him. Twilight took in a deep breath and exhaled, “Razor, there's been an accident,” She informed him before he could ask what it was. She was already ready to tell him the news, “Razor, at your home there was a fire.” The moment she had said that he had bolted up and ran. “Razor!” Twilight and Starlight yelled as he ran out of her office. (You were the one who ignited the flame.) “Razor!” His friends yelled as they watched him run. All of them ran after him. (While the world said my life would be full of shame.) Razor ran as fast as his legs would carry him. He had to get home; he had to make sure his parents were okay. (You helped me stand tall. You caught me when I was about to fall) He almost ripped the schools doors off their hinges with his magic. He had thrown them open so violently; everyone in the school could hear them slam against the walls. (When I was pushed against the wall. You were there when I would call.) His friends could not believe how fast he could move. The speed could possibly impress Coach Rainbow dash. (But, now I am all alone on my own.) Razor ran through Ponyville; not caring who he would almost run into. Or, what he would almost crash into. Home was the only thing on his mind. His parents were all that he was worried about. (Can't remember half of what I was taught or shown.) “Razor, Wait!” Smolder yelled. All of them were having trouble keeping up with him. (Who will come and save me? Who will tell me everything will be alright?) As Razor neared the hill before his home. He saw something that made him gasp in horror. It was black smoke. Smoke, Black smoke it meant one thing. Fire. (If this is meant to be. Then its time that I learned how to fight.) When Razor reached the top of the hill. He saw something that terrified him. His home was engulfed in flames. (It's time for me to stand on my own to feet. Prove to the world I cannot be beat.) “Mom! Dad!” He yelled as he ran towards his home. (I won't die here on the streets. Listen to these words that I speak.) “Razor!” His friends yelled as they watched him run towards his burning home. (I will not fade or expire. I will survive that is my desire.) A firefighter stopped Razor from charging into the home. He had to use his magic to push the colt back. Razor screamed at the top of his lungs for his mother and father. Tears ran down his face like rivers. Before he could run towards the house again. He felt a pair of claws wrap around him; holding him back. “No!” Razor screamed, “No, let me go! Mom! Dad!” He screamed. (This is my trial by fire.) As his friends got to his side. Razor had turned around and started crying into Gallus's chest. Gallus held him close; just before his friends hugged him also. All of them were crying with him. Eventually, the fire was put out and Razor had heard the fate of his parents. Both of them had burned to death in the fire. Razor had stayed glued to Gallus. And, Gallus let him hold onto him. He knew his friend needed this. He just needed someone to hang onto. Just, someone to help him cling onto reality. A little later that day; after he managed to salvage what little he could from his home. Twilight, had helped him move into one of the vacant dorms in the school. She knew apologies and words of kindness would not do him any good. But, some time alone may do him good. Razor was now lying on his bed. His face stained with tears and his eyes read and swollen from crying. He lay in silence; his mind having a difficult time processing what had happened. He was so caught up in his thoughts; he never heard the door to his room open. Razor jumped when he felt something touch his shoulder. He turned his head and saw Gallus standing behind him. He didn't say anything; all he did was stare back at the wall in front of him. After a minutes he could feel Gallus climb into the bed with him. He put a claw around him and pulled him close. Gallus also wrapped a caring wing around him. Just as Razor started to quietly sob again. “It's going to be okay, Razor,” He said trying his best to sound reassuring, “It's going to be okay.” He finished. Razor had ended up crying himself to sleep. Gallus stayed with him and had even fallen asleep while holding him. Gallus may not have known what it was like to lose parents. But, he did know what it was like to be alone. It was a feeling he would never wish upon any creature. A feeling he had known for far too long. Author's Note Chapter 7. Dragon out. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 8 Forging Bonds //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 8 Forging Bonds A painful wail echoed through the Everfree forest. Before a stallion was shown falling hard against a tree. The stallion was beaten and bruised badly. One of his eyes was swollen shut and bleeding. He gasped in pain as he looked up at his attacker. A pleading look of mercy was on his face. His attacker on the other hand had none. His attacker was a dragon; who took out a glowing white crystal. The dragon sat the crystal down in front of the stallion. The crystal glowed brighter and the image of a pure white mare appeared from the crystal. “You stepped out of line.” The mare said in an icy cold tone. The stallion fell to the ground; burying his head in the dirt below, “My Queen,” He began as the dragon growled loudly, “Please, grant me mercy. I only did what was best.” He was stopped by the dragon. Who had grabbed him by his throat and pinned him against the tree. The pressure that the dragon was applying to his throat; almost cut off his oxygen supply. “You stepped out of line,” The mare repeated her gaze looked like death itself, “It will never happen again,” She continued just as the dragon brought up his other claw. In his claw he held a sinister looking dagger. The blade of the dagger glowed a sickening green. From it the screams of multiple souls came, “Kill him.” The mare commanded. Another scream echoed through the forest. Multiple animals were shown either looking, listening, or running from the scream. The stallion lay at the roots of the tree; his body rapidly decaying and turning to dust. While his scream echoed inside the blade of the dagger. Along with many other countless screams. The dragon had a look that showed no remorse. It then turned to look at the mare. Who smiled up at him. “You,” She began as the dragon waited for its command, “Are of no more use to me. You, pathetic lizard.” The dragon lifted the blade again; this time it stabbed itself into its chest. It didn't scream it kept a stoic expression. As it slowly dragged the blade through its chest. The dragon feel to the ground; its body also decaying rapidly. The mare looked over to the left. Resting against the tree was another mare. This one had a light brown coat with a yellow mane and matching tail. The mare was a pegasus; who pulled the blade out of the dragon. She put the dagger away before turning towards the mare, “I am ready to serve you my queen.” She said with a bow. “Keep a close eye on Lamina,” She instructed the mare, “When I arrive that is when we will strike.” She finished just as the crystal stopped glowing. The mare crushed the crystal and began to walk in the direction of Ponyville. As the mare walked away; she did not noticed the small figure perched on a branch above. It watched as the mare walked out of the forest. While it disappeared deeper into the forest. As the creatures moved away from each other. The outside of the friendship school came into view. Gallus sighed gently as he woke from his slumber. He looked down; seeing Razor resting his head on his chest. Gently, he rubbed the back of his friends head. Two days ago he had lost is parents. Since then Twilight had given Razor a week off from school. But, even she knew it would take longer for him to heal. Gallus had stayed with Razor since. He could feel him starting to wake. “Morning, Gallus.” Razor said. “Morning, Razor.” He replied as he began to get out of bed, “How did you sleep?” He asked. “Nightmare of my parents; followed by me being abandon by all of you,” Razor answered, “I woke up earlier.” He finished. Gallus sighed as he pulled Razor into another comforting hug. Razor said nothing all he did was let his friend hold him. He knew his friend was trying to show him he was not alone. That, they would not abandon him. He knew it was true; after all they had been making greater efforts to understand him. It even inspired him to try and be better himself. “Razor,” Gallus began, “You know that dream will never come true.” He said trying to reassure him. Razor nodded, “I know,” He replied, “I need to go shower.” He said Gallus released him from his hold. Allowing Razor to get out of bed; before he walked out of his dorm room. Walking towards the School's locker-room. So, that he could shower and get himself ready for the day. Gallus sighed and walked out of the room and began to walk back towards his. As he walked he had run into Sandbar. “Gallus.” Sandbar greeted happily. Gallus smiled, “Morning Sandbar,” He greeted happily, “Heading to the cafeteria?” He asked. Sandbar nodded, “Yeah, the others are there already,” He turned and walked a little ways forward, “Come on. We've got something planned.” He finished which confused Gallus. It didn't take long for Razor to finish washing his body. As he dried himself; his stomach had alerted him to his sudden hunger. He slowly made his way to the cafeteria for breakfast. When he arrived; he grabbed a tray and grabbed a small carton of milk. Before grabbing some haycon and some pancakes. He then walked around trying to find a place to sit. He was flagged down by Ocellus; who waved him over to a table where her and the others were sitting. He smiled, walked over and sat in between her and Gallus. “Good morning, everyone.” Razor greeted. “Morning, Razor.” All of them replied. For a moment all of them just sat and ate. Sometimes they would talk to one another. While the majority of the time; they just ate in silence. Enjoying the company of their friends. By the time they had finished eating. The bell for the first class had rang. “I will see you all later.” Razor said as he began to get up. “Razor, wait.” Silverstream said causing him to look at her. “Yes?” he asked. Silverstream smiled, “Twilight, is letting us spend the day with you today,” She informed him before handing him a rolled up scroll, “Take a look at that.” She finished. Razor used his magic to unroll the scroll. His eyes quickly scanned over it; as he read a smile stretched across his face again. He set the scroll down on the table. Allowing him to see the smiling faces of his friends. “I can go to my forge today.” He said happily as the others got up from the table. Each of them smiling happily; for the last two day he had really wanted to go to his forge. But, the royal guards who were investigating the fire. Would not allow him anywhere near the scene. Not because they were mean. But, just to keep him from contaminating the scene of the accident. Just in case they were looking into an arson case. From the cafeteria they walked to the entrance of the school. Once outside they began to walk in the direction of his home. Razor felt a single tear roll down his face as he stared forward at the burned remains of his home. His friends stood at his side; neither of them saying a word. They just simply stood there at the ready. Ready, to be strong for him. He walked forward towards the area that would be the front the door. Now it was just three burned planks of wood. Barely, keeping itself up as it balanced itself onto of a pile of ashes. He then looked over to the left of his home. “The living room would be there.” Razor said as he scanned his home. None of them said a word as he listed off the various rooms and their locations. All of them just listened to him. When he was done he walked over to his forge. It had no signs of damage; it made him smile. He then began to charge up a magical spell. “What are you doing, Razor?” Smolder asked as a magical aura began to wrap around the forge. In a flash of light his forge was gone. Or, so they thought; in Razors magical hold he held a miniature version of his forge. When he turned around; he saw his friends looking at him in shock. He wondered why they were staring at him like that. “What?” He asked. “Where did you learn a spell like that?!” All of them asked. After explaining where he had learned the spell; all of them made their way back to the school. He spoke with Twilight before placing his forge behind the school. When he found the perfect location; he used his magic to restore his forge to its original size. He smiled as he walked in; making sure everything was in its proper location. His friends smiled happily when they saw how happy he was. A few of them laughed as he immediately started getting to work on a sword. Before, he even began to heat the metal. He paused for a moment and then looked out towards his friends. “Do you all wanna help?” He asked. They looked at one another before they nodded. Each of them walked into the forge; ready to help him create the sword. They watched in awe as he heated the metal to a glowing yellow. Once it was heated to the necessary temperature. He showed them all how and where to strike the blade with the hammer. After a few hours all of them had finished the sword. It was a masamune blade with floral pattern etchings on its hilt. The blade was forged from pure steel. But, the color was a setting sun orange. The color was thanks to the crystal he had melted onto the metal. All of them smiled happily as he wrapped the blade for delivery. He then sprinkled magical powder on the package; before he had Smolder breath fire onto it. In a flash of orange color smoke; the package flew from the forge and to the sky. Heading to where the customer lived. A few minutes later; the customer had sent payment. A total of three thousand bits. Which he divided evenly among all of them. “That was fun!” Yona yelled, “Yak like sword making! Sword making is best!” She finished causing everyone to laugh. “Yeah,” Smolder agreed with her before looking at Razor, “Thanks for showing us how to do this.” She finished receiving a nod from him. Razor stayed silent as his friends talked to one another about what all of them had done. At all the other schools; the other students he would meet. None of them had expressed any interest in what he really liked doing. He smiled again as he looked at them all. He looked up at the sky; he saw there was they still had some daylight left. “Hey, guys.” He spoke causing all of them to look towards him, “Do you all wanna go to sugar cube corner?” He asked. They didn't need to be asked that question twice. All of them then started walking towards the towns favorite sweet shop. Each of them had a smile stretched across their face. Not only because of where they were going. But, also from a sense of pride. A pride that came from doing something none of them thought they could do. Razor, he was happy, very happy. Although, he missed his parents greatly. He was thankful for having friends like them. Friends, that made him feel like he was normal. As the group walked through the streets; none of them noticed a shadowy figure watching them from an ally. It watched as each of them entered the sweet shop. Once the door closed the figure retreated into the ally. It pulled out a yellow crystal and held it close to its maw. “The child is uninjured,” It said into the crystal its voice so low nopony would be able to tell if it belonged to a mare or stallion, “Project 'Eternal Flame' will proceed as planned.” It finished. Author's Note Chapter 8 had a lot of fun making this chapter. also again thank you all for the likes, comments, I really appreciate them. also take a look at what I am saving up for. https://camo.fimfiction.net/8luNw8OffUjgSWqQhALiD-_KW0zPikhbAW0wn2JaLRQ?url=https%3A%2F%2F4.bp.blogspot.com%2F--Dnstu_HpgI%2FXBl-LWoB6MI%2FAAAAAAAAAm8%2FJK4up4Nzg5Euvyh-9LZ0KSxSpeorXhDZQCLcBGAs%2Fs1600%2FCopy%252Bof%252BCerberus%252BScale.jpg Cool huh. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 9 Bonds of time //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 9 Bonds of time Smolder tossed and turned in her bed. Sweat rolled down her scales; her breathing rapid, and her eyes clenched shut. She was having a dream and by the looks of it. It looked like it was a bad one. She was not the only one suffering from a nightmare. The others were also suffering from a nightmare. Each of them tossing and turning in their sleep. “What is this?” Smolder asked as a growl escaped from her, “What's going on?” She finished. In the dream she was in the dragonlands. But, the terrain was different. The land was lush and green; the air free of smoke and volcanic ash. Around her she saw multiple dragons; each of them were running past her. She could hear herself breathing heavily. As her body slowly moved around. She noticed she was in the middle of a walled city. A muffled voice then called to her. She looked around; trying to find who the voice belonged too. The voice echoed again; her gaze eventually landing on a dragoness that resembled Ember. But, her scales were dark red. The dragoness was roaring at her. “What?” Smolder asked herself. Her body then turned on its own and she saw herself locking swords with another dragon. It's scales a dark yellow; while its eyes were clouded with black smoke. She then saw who was fighting the dragon. It was a dragoness with silver scales; the sword she held was a katanna. The dragoness lifted her leg and kicked the dragon back. Before running up and stabbing it through the stomach. She almost puked as the dragoness pulled it out from the side. Slicing the dragon wide open. “Zobens!” The red dragoness roared as she got closer to her. “What is it Rain?” She asked as a distant explosion was heard. “The Sabers have breached the walls,” A roar interrupted her; both of them entered combat with a large orange dragoness. Both of them defeated her quickly, “We need to find Lamina and get her out of here!” She finished. Zobens nodded, “I'll find Lamina,” She said while unfolding her wings, “Keep the Sabers at bay for now. Once Lamina is safe we'll drive them out of Talon!” She finished as she took flight. Smolders eyes went wide in shock. Talon was an ancient dragon city that vanished thousands of years ago. It was written that the city was the jewel of the dragon kingdom. And, that it had somehow vanished during a massive battle. Was this that battle? How was she seeing this? Was this even a dream? Zobens flew high above the city; watching as the cities citizens fought to protect their home from the intruders. She eventually flew down and landed on the protective wall of the city. Her blade drawn and at the ready. She began to run along the wall; defeating any enemy that dare crossed her path. Smolder watched in complete awe at the fury of the dragonesses attacks. But, what amazed her more was that the dragoness fought with a sword. She never heard of any dragons fighting with swords; it would always be with their fire breath or their claws. Zobens suddenly caught sight of another dragoness heading into the western tower wall. “Lamina.” She whispered to herself before she roared out in pain. Smolder screamed as she watched Rain had suddenly sliced open Zobens back. Zobens roared in fury; before turning around slicing Rains head off. Her head feel to ground and rolled off the wall. Dropping down into the battle below. Zobens growled in pain mixed with sadness before she continued on. By, the time she had reached the western tower. Her entire body was a bloody mess. Smolder wondered who Lamina was; and why was she so important. Zobens saw another dragon standing over Lamina. His scales black as night and sinister grin on his face. In his claws he held a massive broadsword that pulsed with dark energy. He brought it up; ready to deliver the final strike. “No!” Zobens roared. Smolder watched as she charged forward and got in between the two. A look of horror appeared on her face again; as Zobens brought her free claw up in front of her. The dragons blade had cut through her claw like it was nothing. Separating it from her body as she roared in pain. She began to fall to the floor. But, as she fell she through her katanna up into the air. Allowing Lamina to grab it. The black dragon in front of them had no time to react. And, in one quick move Lamina had cut off his head. His blade and head both landing on the floor before his body. “Zobens.” Lamina said before running over and lifting her up a little. Zobens looked up and smiled a little, “Zobens.” She said again her voice on the verge of breaking as tears fell from her eyes. “You're okay,” Zobens said in a voice just above a whisper, “I'm so glad that you're okay.” She finished. “Don't talk. Save your strength,” Lamina said as she gently lowered her back down, “I can save you. Just,” She was stopped by Zobens placing a gentle claw on her. “It's to late for me, my friend,” She said a tear falling from her eye, “I'm sorry. But, Bahamut has called me to his kingdom.” She finished. Smolder cried as the dragoness took her final breath. While Lamina stood over her; roaring loudly in emotional pain. Tears falling heavily from her eyes. It was then both doors on the sides of the tower flew open. Multiple dragons walked in; each of them controlled by a dark cloud. Lamina looked around in anger as they moved closer and closer to her. Her body began to glow brightly and in one final roar. An explosion of power came from her. Smolder had to shield her eyes due to the intensity of the light. When the light dimmed she found herself standing in the dragonlands that she knew. The one where everything was barren and void of life. “What was that?” Smolder asked herself just as everything around her began to fade to black. Yona was also witnessing something in her dream. She watched as one yak carried another on his back. He breathed heavily with each step he took. Both of them were walking through the snowy hills of Yakyakastan. Which were normally calm and peaceful. But, right now a massive blizzard was blowing through their hills. “Just hang on, Mina,” He said as he continued to push himself through the storm, “We're almost there.” He finished. The yak on his back groaned a little before she fell off and onto the snow covered ground. The yak who carried her came to an immediate stop. He turned back around and got next to her. “Mina, please, just hold on,” He begged as he tried to pick her up off the ground, “We are almost.” “Just go Lamina,” Mina said her voice very weak, “I'm only slowing you down.” She finished. “No,” Lamina said as he tried again to pick her up, “No, no, no. you can't give up now,” He continued almost having her on his back, “Were so close.” He groaned loudly as he was dragged down; the last of his strength finally leaving him. Both of them lay on the snow covered ground. They looked at each other and then hugged. Just as the blizzard buried them underneath the snow. Yona had heard of this story from Prince Rutherford. A story of two friends being lost in the blizzard of blizzards. How they tried to find their way home; only to end up being lost forever to the mountains. Did she just witness what had happened? As she wondered the area around her also began to fade to black. Gallus had witnessed a love story that was told amongst his kind. Ocellus had witness the fall of queen Wasps' hive. Sandbar witnessed the battle of the Badlands. And, Silverstream was witness to a simple tale of friendship. But their dreams had one thing in common. One single name, Lamina. When their dreams faded to black. All six of them were united in the dream realm. “Smolder?” Ocellus asked as they walked to each other, “What's going on?” She asked. “I don't know.” She answered as the other gathered round. Just as they did a flame suddenly ignited just in front of them. All of them looked towards it; in the Flame stood Razor. Slowly, he was walking towards them. While they began to walk towards him. “Razor?” Gallus asked but Razor did not respond, “Lamina?” Razor smiled just as the Lamina's each of them had seen appeared around him. From behind them a bright light appeared. They turned and saw the creatures that had been with Lamina. Zobens stood in front of Smolder. Mina stood in front of Yona. The Changeling called Beetle stood before Ocellus. Sandbar had Morning dew. Gallus had the gryphon who's name was Star. And, in front of Silverstream stood Sand-dollar. The creatures slowly walked around them and towards the Lamina they each knew. Then, one by one the Lamina they knew vanished into Razor's flame. While they walked back to the ones they had appeared in front of. Each of them smiled down at the children in front of them. “Take care of Lamina.” They each said as they disappeared into them. All of them looked at each other; their eyes wide in shock. Everything began to fade to black again, “What in the world?!” All of them said before each of them finally woke up. All of them panted heavily from the dream they had. After a few deep breaths; all of them felt the need to go to Razor's forge. One by one they each got out of their beds and walked out. When they met at the entrance; none of them said a single word. They only stared silently at one another; before walking out of the school. When they reached Razor's forge; they saw him sitting out in front of it. Watching as the moon was slowly lowered. “Razor?” Gallus called out. Razor turned to look at everyone, “Guys, Morning.” He greeted them just as the moon was fully lowered. One by one each of them sat beside him; watching as Princess Celestia began to raise the sun. it warming rays slowly stretching across the ground. Burning away the darkness of the night. They sat their until the sun was raised fully into the sky. Once it was; they looked at one another and walked back into the school. None of them said a single word. But, strangely enough, they felt as if they had just met up with a long lost friend. Author's Note Chapter 9 never thought I would get the story this far. but, I do apologize for the shortness of this chapter. this chapter is just mainly a filler chapter. Anyway all of you get ready for Chapter 10. and, get ready for the surprise. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 10 The Eternal Enemy //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 10 The Eternal Enemy The bell of the school rang loudly; signaling the end of the students long school day. One by one the students left the school. Razor began to walk towards his forge. He had his journal floating in front of him. He looked at the image of a large mace he had drawn. The customer who ordered the mace; wanted it to mirror a weapon from a fantasy based board game. He sighed a little in frustration. Although he had no problems with making fantasy based weapons. He would feel like the creation was not original. To him it would feel like he had stolen someone else' s creation. “Razor!” The voice of Sandbar called out. Razor jumped a little as he turned around. He saw both Sandbar and Ocellus walking up to him, “Hey.” He greeted with a smile getting smiles back from them. “Hey, Razor,” Ocellus greeted him happily, “Are you busy?” She asked. Razor nodded, “I have a mace to build for a client from Las Pegasus and double-bit ax for a client in Manehatten,” He answered, “Why do you ask?” He asked. Sandbar answered, “We were wondering if you wanted to come to the lake with us,” He said as Ocellus nodded, “We haven't hanged their in a while.” He added. Razor was silent for a moment; his mind processing the decision he had to make. After a moment he put away his journal and smiled again, “I would like to join all of you.” He replied. The three began to walk to the lake; they met up with the others when they reached the lake. Smolder and Silverstream swam in the cool water. While Gallus and Ocellus were sunbathing. Yona, Sandbar, and Razor were trying to build a large sandcastle. Until, Silverstream and Smolder used their wings to send a waterfall raining down on them. All three of them were drenched; Yona and Sandbar glared at the two. Who were laughing loudly at them. While Razor simply stared at them. “I have an idea.” He said causing the two to get close to him. Smolder and Silverstream were too busy laughing at them. They never noticed Razor using his magic to slowly hover Yona over the water just in front of them. Yona was doing her best to keep from laughing. Sandbar, was eager to see what was going to happen. Razor, well he was wondering what would be the most optimal drop height. When he found it his magical hold on Yona was released. “YAK!” Yona yelled causing the two to look up at her, “SPLASH!” She finished as she crashed into the water. Smolder and Silverstream screamed as a wave of water crashed onto them. Both of them were pushed under the water; only to break the surface of it a second later. Both of them gasping for air as they tried to steady themselves. Their friends laughed loudly at them; both of them joining in on the laughter soon after. The three then swam up to the shore. Shaking off the water once they were fully out of the lake. They then rested in a shady area on the shore line. Their friends joining them as they rested in the cool shadow of a low hanging tree branch. “It feels good to get together like this,” Gallus commented, “We should do this more often.” He finished getting nods from them. “If we did this more often I would get no work done.” Razor commented causing his friends to roll their eyes, “That was not funny?” He asked. “Um,” Silverstream began as she looked at the others for an answer; all of them shrugged causing her to sigh, “Keep working on the jokes, Razor.” She finished receiving a nod from him. The group of seven rested peacefully on the shoreline of the lake. Yes, each of them wished they could do this more often. But, even they knew good thing unfortunately had to come to an end. What they didn't know was how it was going to come to an end. For a certain white unicorn was walking up to them. “Razor.” Rarity called out causing the group to look in her direction, “Razor, are you here?” She called out again. Razor stood up and waved at her; once she saw him. She quickly made her way over to them, “Is everything alright, Professor, Rarity?” He asked as she stood before them. “No,” Rarity answered as a stern look appeared on her face, “You forgot that I needed your help after school today.” She finished. “Ma'am?” Razor asked confusion laced in his voice, “You never informed me.” “No, darling. I spoke with you after my class today,” She explained to him, “I asked you to come by.” “I did not have your class today,” Razor interrupted her, “What is going on?” He asked. Rarity released an irritated growl, “Razor, I do not have time to waste on you,” She said as she began to use her magic, “Now come with me.” She said as her magic wrapped around his front right hoof. Pulling him forward a little. “I did not have your class today,” He repeated his voice getting louder as she dragged him, “Let go of me! I did not have your class today! Something is wrong!” He began to shout. Smolder jumped to her feet, “Hey!” She shouted as she ran up and stood in front of Rarity, “Let him go! You're scaring him!” She finished but Rarity ignored her. She growled and grabbed her shoulder, “I'm talking to.” Smolder yelled in pain as a magical bolt struck her chest. Pushing her back hard; while her friends looked on in horror. Rarity stood over the shocked dragoness; a look of anger etched onto her face. While Smolder looked up at her with a look of fear. “You dare touch me lizard!” Rarity growled out as she began to charge up another magical attack, “I will put you in your proper!” Rarity was interrupted by a rock being thrown hard against her head. She fell to the ground unconscious; while Smolder and the others looked at Razor. Who was panting and sweating heavily in fear. While Rarity was distracted he had picked up a large rock with his magic. He used it to knock her out cold. Smolder quickly got to her feet and got to Razor's side. The others followed closer behind her. “Razor, are you okay?” Smolder asked as they checked him over. He didn't respond at first; all he did was just stare forward at the unconscious mare. He then slowly nodded at her question. All of them then stared forward at Rarity. They could hear a small groan escape from her. While Razor shook a little out of the sudden shock. After a minute he finally spoke. “What is going on?” Razor asked. “I don't know,” Sandbar answered, “but, I think we should go see, Twilight,” He continued before walking a little ways forward, “Come on. Lets.” Sandbar was suddenly interrupted by a Timberwolf suddenly tackling him. It jaws snapping just inches away from his neck. Both Gallus and Smolder ran up to help him. As they tried to get the Timberwolf off of him. From the lake a Cragidile crawled out; releasing a loud roar as it charged the small group. Silverstream and Yona barely had enough time to escape the creatures attack. Ocellus had changed her form into a mouse. For, the Cragidile had caught her and had almost chewed her into bits. Razor focused his magic on another nearby rock; ready to chuck it at the Timberwolf. “Razor!” The voice of Fluttershy shouted from behind him. He turned around just as she ran up to him; grabbing hold of one of his forehooves, “Razor, come on! It's not safe here!” She screamed in fear as she tried to pull him away. “But, my friends!” Razor replied. “Forget about them,” She responded, “Come on! We need.” She was stopped by him using the rock he had picked up for the Timberwolf. Which was now burning to death thanks to Smolder. The Cragidile was scared away by Ocellus. Who had changed herself into a giant squid. The group regrouped on the lake shore. “What's going on?!” Silverstream shouted. None of them had an answer; why did two of their Professors suddenly attack them? Why were they only after Razor? Why was the weather team closing in on them? “Wait, what!?” All of them said at once as they looked up. “There they are!” One of the pegasus stallion's yelled. “Run!” Yona shouted. The group did not need to be told twice. All of them had began running as fast as they could towards the school. As they ran they were ambushed by a group of unicorns. Who tried to throw a net over them. They began running into the center of town. Where a group of earth ponies had attacked them. One of them had almost knocked Smolder out. But, thanks to Yona she was okay. The group ran and ran; until they were completely surrounded in the middle of town. It citizens slowly closing in on them. “What do we do?” Ocellus asked. “No idea.” Sandbar answered. Gallus growled, “Well can someone thank of a plan?!” “We're all ears Gallus!” Smolder hissed at him. The mob was getting closer and closer; only to stop just in front of them. From the crowd walked the Princess of Friendship herself. Her students sighed in relief; only to gasp in horror as she began to charge a spell. “Get close to me now!” Razor suddenly shouted. His friends did as they were told and gathered around him. By the time Twilight had shot her attack; The group had suddenly vanished in a bright flash of light. The group reappeared inside of Razor's forge. He quickly walked to the front and put up a protection spell. While the others looked around. “Razor, what are we doing here?” Asked Ocellus as a magical shield covered the front of the forge. “This place is safe for a moment,” Razor responded before walking over to a wall. His horn glowed removing a concealing spell he had on the wall. Revealing a number of swords he had made for himself, “Arm yourselves.” He finished. It didn't take long for the residence of Ponyville to reach the school. They stopped just in front of the entrance; the only ones to continue were Starlight, Twilight, and a white mare. They walked around the school and right up to Razor's forge. Starlight's and Twilight's horns glowed with magical energy. And, in a single blast they destroyed the shield. Sending a large amount of smoke and dust into the air. The mare smiled wickedly as she walked forward. “Come out Lamina, my dear,” She said in a voice that sounded like ice, “I have been waiting for this day.” She finished. One by one the students exited the forge; each of them holding a weapon Razor had forged. Razor held a simple double bladed sword. Smolder had chosen a ninjato he had made. Ocellus brandished what appeared to be and edged shield. Gallus carried a large double-bit ax. Silverstream was armed with a halberd. And, Sandbar was using a broadsword. Yona carried a sword known as a cutlass. All of them stood at the ready; prepared to enter a fight. The mare in front of them only laughed out of pity. “Now, put those down before you hurt yourselves.” She said. “Who are you!?” Smolder yelled in anger. The mare laughed again, “Since all of you are about to die. I guess there is no harm in knowing who your destroyer is,” She replied as the two beside her readied another magical attack, “I am Apani chosen wielder of the soul blade.” She finished while the group in front of them looked at each other in confusion. Apani smiled and in a flash of light; the two launched their magical attacks. The group braced themselves for the attack. But, all of the sudden both beams were launched back at the two; knocking both of them out. Apani brought up a sword that pulsed with dark energy. A metallic clang came from it; almost like an attack had been blocked. The group looked forward and saw something small standing in front of them. It looked to be like a large mouse; except it was covered in armor and carried a small double-edged blade. The blade glowed a feint blue light. “Ah, Matthias Unidostres,” Apani spoke, “The chosen wielder of the time blade.” She finished as he tightened his grip on his sword. Both of them stared at each other for a few seconds; just before Matthias had suddenly vanished. Apani then brought her sword up; blocking an attack that seemed like it had come from no where. The group watched in awe as the two fought; Matthias then locked blade with Apani. “Evening! Get them out of here!” He yelled. “I'm on it!” A voice from the left yelled. The group looked and saw an earth mare running up to them. The mare was a light pink color with a white mane and tale. A dark blue streak ran through her mane. She stopped just in front of the group, “We need to get out of here! Come on follow me!” She yelled before running off; the group following close behind her. Apani saw the group escaping, “Do not let them escape!” She yelled causing the ones she had under her control to follow the small group. The group ran as fast as they could through the streets of Ponyville. The could hear the crowd behind them. They ran as fast as they could; but as they rounded a corner. Evening was suddenly tackled by Applejack. “Evening!” Yelled Ocellus. Evening kicked the mare off of her, “Run! I'll hold her off!” She yelled as she tackled the mare in front of her. The group was tempted to help her. But, once they heard the crowd of ponies closing in on them. They quickly took off running again. As they began to run away from the crowd again; they were blocked by Rainbow Dash. The came to a stop as she stared at them in anger. But then she was hit by a magical beam. The group looked up only to see a yellow colored pegasus; wearing magical armor. The group swore he looked like an alicorn. “Hunter, keep them busy!” Yelled another male voice. In front of the group another male stallion appeared this one was an earth stallion wearing a dark cloak. Concealing what he looked like, “Come with me!” He yelled. “Who are you!?” Yelled Gallus. “Anonymous, now come on Bumblebee and Hunter will keep them busy.” He finished. “What?” Ocellus asked as a magical bolt shot over her head. She screamed as they ducked down. Another bolt was shot at her; only to be blocked by another unicorn who was purple in color. They figured that was the one who was known as Bumblebee. The group followed Anonymous all the way out of Ponyville; they ran and ran until they came to a stop at the edge of the Everfree forest. All of them were panting loudly as they tried to catch their breath. Anonymous looked back towards the town; only to sigh in anger. “They're still coming,” He whispered to himself as he turned back towards the others, “Head for the castle of the two sisters,” He then gave Silverstream a blue glowing crystal, “Break this crystal when you get into the castle. And, wait for three days to pass. On the fourth day help will come for you all.” he turned back towards the town, “The castle go now!” He yelled before running back towards the town. The group nodded and ran into the forest. Listening as the sounds of battle echoed around them. None of them knew for how long they had ran. All they knew; was that they had to get to the castle. Normally what would take them about ten minutes of walking. Took them only five minutes of running. All of them were panting inside the main lobby of the castle. Some of them had collapsed from exhaustion. While others were looking out the windows towards the bridge. Like she was instructed; Silverstream crushed the crystal and a bright flash moved through the castle. To them nothing happened; everything seemed the same. But, on the outside the castle had been replaced with more woods. Ocellus gasped in horror as she watched a small group of ponies approach the castle. They stood just in front of the bridge for a few seconds; only to turn and head deeper into the forest. She sighed in relief before falling down to the floor. All of them panted heavily for a few seconds; until Gallus growled loudly and stood up. “What in the buck was that!?” He yelled as he turned to look at his friends, “Why did out teachers and the ponies we knew; suddenly attacked us?!” He finished. “Calm down, Gallus,” Razor spoke, “Clearly that mare did this to them.” He finished. Smolder spoke up, “Yeah, what was her name again? Apani, right?” She asked receiving nods from them, “How could she control them though? She wasn't a unicorn.” She added. Sandbar answered, “That sword,” He said causing the group to look at him, “Didn't she call it the soul blade?” He asked. Ocellus nodded, “Yes, but, I've never heard of a blade that can control others.” She said. The group talked amongst themselves for a little while; until they moved deeper into the castle. Finding the room which they had made for all of them to sleep in. The first time they had run from their kingdoms. Each of them fixed a place for them to lay their tired bodies on. “How long are we going to have to stay here?” Yona asked. “Until three days pass; the fourth day someone comes for us.” Silverstream answered; while Sandbar looked back towards Ponyville. “Sandbar, are you okay?” Razor asked. “Do you think they are alright?” Sandbar asked. The group knew what he meant; he was worried about the ones who saved them. All of them looked out the window he was staring out of. Each of them looking back towards Ponyville; hoping that the hero's who saved them were okay. Said creatures are shown on their knees in the middle of Ponyville. In front of them stood Apani; who glared at them with a cold look. She stopped just in front of them; her blade at the ready. She then slowly raised it up only to immediately bring it down onto one of them. A few seconds later she was walking away from the center of the village. While a group of ponies cleaned up the mess. “You will be mine Lamina,” She spoke, “You will be mine, blade master.” She finished as she walked to the castle of friendship. Author's Note Hope all of you like the surprise. Wow chapter 10 I am eager to write the next three. I thank all of you for the likes and comments. they mean a lot. I really hope you all enjoy this chapter. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 11 Tales from the Everfree part 1 of 7 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 11 Tales from the Everfree part 1 of 7 A large storm unleashed its fury down onto the forest below. It's lightning striking the ground below. Followed by the mighty roar of thunder. Inside the castle the small group rested; each of them staring up at the ceiling. Thunder echoed through the crumbling walls of the castle. Ocellus shook a little out of fear from the sound. Smolder noticed and put a gentle wing around her friend. “It's messed up about what happened yesterday.” Gallus muttered. Sandbar looked at him, “No kidding,” He replied, “Friends, Ponies we knew, even our own teachers attacked all of us.” He finished. “Not their fault,” Yona quickly defended, “That mare Apani's fault. When Yona get hooves on her! I will SMASH her!” She finished. Silverstream shook her head, “Yona, That mare is somehow able to control minds. If you get close to her; all shes gonna do is turn you against us.” She said receiving a glare from Yona. “You have better idea, fish-breath!” Yona yelled back at her. As the two argued Razor had separated himself from the group. He walked to the main hall of the castle; where he then walked up the stairs. After walking through a few hallways; he found himself standing inside an old look-out tower. He walked over to a open window and looked out. He saw a group of ponies searching for them in the distance. But, thanks to the camouflage crystal they were given. The group moved on; never seeing the castle they were hiding in. He then gazed out towards the horizon. Looking in the direction his home would be in. For a few minutes all he did was sit and stare. “I need to go get my forge.” He said to himself before he began the long walk back down. When he reached the main hall again; he could hear his friends yelling at each other. It bothered him not only because of the echo in the castle. But, also because he hated it when people would yell or speak loudly. With a sigh he walked towards the large double doors of the castle and walked out. The rain immediately drenching him; almost like he had just stepped into the shower. He slowly walked across the bridge. Looking back only for a second before he walked through the magical field. He looked to his left and then to his right. Once he saw everything was clear; he began to walk into the forest. Flashes of lightning illuminated the darkness of the forest. Followed by the thunder that roared loudly. Razor was unfazed by both of them. He just kept walking through the forest; a single thought was on his mind. Get to his home and get his forge. He came to an immediate stop when he heard the breaking of a branch. He stayed completely still; listening for another sound. Only to get dragged down behind a tree. “What are you doing?!” Gallus yelled in a hushed tone as he pressed Razor against the tree he hid behind. “I was going to get my forge from home.” Razor answered. “What?” Gallus replied as he shot him a look of confusion, “Razor, your forge is at the school.” He finished. “I have a second one at my home,” Razor responded, “Now, please, let me go. I have to go get my forge.” He finished as he pushed Gallus back. Only to be grabbed by him again, “Let go of me.” He said. “No,” Gallus said sharply, “You're not going anywhere near Ponyville,” He added as he began to pull Razor back, “You're coming back to the castle now!” He nearly yelled. “No! I need to get my forge!” Razor yelled possibly giving away their position. The two were locked inside a pulling match. Razor trying to pull himself free from Gallus's hold. While Gallus tried to keep his friend safe. A bolt of lighting struck a tree near them; it ended up falling towards them. Sending both of them running and falling into a small ravine. Both of them rolled on the muddy ground. They came to a stop at the bottom of the ravine. Gallus had landed on top of Razor. Both of them were panting heavily; as they lay there. Gallus looked down at Razor while he looked up at him. They stared at each other for a few seconds; until Gallus suddenly kissed Razor. Who kissed him back. They held the kiss for a few seconds until they broke it. “Razor?” Gallus asked. “Yeah.” Razor replied. “Please,” He begged, “Please, lets go back to the castle,” He continued before he gently nuzzled him, “Please.” He finished. Razor was silent for a moment as he gently wrapped his hooves around the gryphon. He then slowly nodded his head. The two then got of the muddy ground and began walking back. The rain helping wash the dirt off of their bodies as they walked back. It didn't take them long to reach the castle. Their friends were very happy to seem them both; alive and unharmed. Razor apologized to everyone for leaving. But, they quickly forgave him. The group then moved back into the castle; just as it began to rain hard again. The group rested inside their room; each of them laying next to one another. Providing each other with a sense companionship and warmth. Both Gallus and Razor are shown resting together. Gallus had Razor snuggled into his chest. He had a smile stretched across his face; before he wrapped a gentle wing around him. He then moved his mouth close to his ear. “I love you.” He whispered to him. “I love you, too, Gallus.” Razor whispered back. Author's Note Chapter 11 now I am really, really, really, really, really, sorry for this chapter being so short. this is just the first chapter of a seven part event in the fic. so yeah this is just an ice breaker chapter. hope all of you do enjoy this short chapter. but, now we are getting into the main parts of the story. so anyway, again, thank you all for the likes comments and everything else. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 13 Tales from the Everfree part 3 of 7 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 13 Tales from the Everfree part 3 of 7 Smolder sighed sadly as she continued to rub Ocellus's back. Last night her friend had just latched onto her and refused to let go. She really couldn't blame the poor changeling. After all last night she had killed another living creature. Last night she had taken the life of a Timberwolf. Last night was the night she had made her first kill. And, she hated it and herself for it. Smolder knew the feeling of it all too well. “The first kill is the hardest.”. Those words floated in her mind and stayed with her. Her grandmother had told them to her; the first time she had killed another living creature. “Ocellus?” Smolder spoke to her friend only to have silence answer her back, “Ocellus, please, just say something.” She spoke again to her; receiving silence as an answer again. She frowned as she continued to comfort her friend. Although, she was a dragoness and seen as an uncaring brute half the time. She cared deeply for her friends. A trait she had learned thanks to the school. She looked up from her friend and gazed at the others. Silverstream, Yona, and Sandbar were currently playing a game of cards. Gallus was currently helping Razor in his forge. All of them were doing something to keep their minds off one certain subject. All seven of them were being hunted. And, the only thing stopping the hunters was just a simple camouflage spell. A spell that could be broken just by walking through it. “Bahamut, damn that mare!” Smolder growled quietly. She sighed heavily as she leaned back against the wall. Her mind racing with many thoughts and outcomes. Everyone here was vulnerable to attacks. None of them, except for her, Gallus, Razor, and possibly Yona. Had experience in an actual fight. And, right now her friends mind is possibly shattered from the guilt. That comes when another creature ends another creatures life. All of it was too much for her mind. And, soon she found herself falling into the arms of sleep. A nap may be just what her mind needed. Smolder found herself walking up in the middle of a black void. She gasped in fear as she stood up and began to look around. She called out only to hear her own voice back at her. Fear began to set itself into her mind. Her body began to shake a little in fear. Wondering and imaging what was possibly about to happen to her. “Calm yourself, my descendant.” A calm feminine voice spoke to her. It caused her to turn around; allowing her to see Zobens slowly walking towards her. “Zobens?” She asked clearly confused at what she was seeing, “What? How are you?” She was stopped by the dragoness slowly lifting up her right paw. “You called out to me,” Zobens explained, “You're worried about your friend, Ocellus, right?” She asked. Smolder could only nod as the area around them suddenly transformed. She saw them standing in the middle of a large room. She saw Lamina resting on a bed; a pillow was hugged close to her chest. As tears slowly fell from her eyes. Smolder wondered what was going on; until she heard the door open. She turned and saw a concerned Zobens walk in. She walked towards Lamina and gently sat herself on the bedside. Before placing a caring claw on her shoulder. “This is the day Lamina made her first kill,” The voice of Zobens spoke from behind Smolder. Smolder turned and looked at Zobens who stood beside her, “I remember it almost like it was yesterday.” She finished. Smolder watched as Lamina looked up at Zobens. Who face stained with dried tears; she was looking up into the gentle and caring eyes of Zobens. Who gave her a caring smile. With a small whimper; Lamina sat up and hugged her. Zobens hugged her back. “What happened?” Smolder asked. “As I said this was the day Lamina made her first kill,” Zobens answered, “I knew what it was like already. Just, like you do,” She then looked down at Smolder, “But, Lamina was afraid.” She finished. Smolder grew confused, “Afraid?” She asked, “Afraid of what?” She finished. Zobens sighed, “She afraid of becoming her parents.” She answered. “Her parents?” Smolder asked. Zobens nodded, “Yes,” she began in a voice that was filled with slight sadness, “You see her parents were Fang and Talon.” She finished. Smolder gasped at that; Fang and Talon were a mated couple that terrorized the early dragon kingdom. Apparently, the two had murdered a total of fifty dragons; before they were eventually executed for their crimes. It was never written in the old stones; that the two had a child. But, apparently Lamina was that child. Zobens then turned towards her. “Your friend Ocellus is a lot like her.” She said as the area around them shifted; showing the inside of the castle they were in. Ocellus was resting her head on Smolders lap. While Smolder was propped against the wall. Her claw gently placed on her sleeping friends shoulder. Smolder grew confused again, “What do you mean?” She asked. “As I recall your friend is technically a child of Chrysalis,” Zobens replied, “Am I correct?” She asked. Smolders eyes went wide; she had completely forgotten that fact. Ocellus was a descendant of Queen Chrysalis. Like in the caves under the school. She was afraid of becoming the changelings old queen. Ocellus hardly spoke about their old queen. But, seeing how she reacted after killing the timberwolf. She figured it was the “First time” guilt. She felt it when she made her first kill. But, now, now she realized this wasn't that guilt. No, this was fear of becoming someone. She felt Zobens touch her shoulder. It caused her to jump as she looked up at her. “Take care of your friends,” She said as she began to fade away along with everything else, “Take care of them, like I took care of Lamina.” She finished as everything faded away into black. Smolder woke with a start as she looked around. She saw still inside the castle with the others; the only one who was absent was Yona. She looked down; Ocellus was still asleep. But, she could see a small amount of tears falling from her eyes. She sighed and gently rubbed the side of her friends head. Ocellus released a small groan as she began to slowly wake from her slumber. “Ocellus?” Smolder talked. “Hmm?” Ocellus replied as she released a gentle yawn. Smolder sighed, “Ocellus,” She began, “I know you think that you'll turn into, Chrysalis,” She could feel her friend shift a little, “But, Ocellus believe me when I say. You won't become like her.” She then gently held her friend closer, “You're kind, you think about others, you worry about us,” She then sighed one final time, “You're nothing like your old queen. And, you never will be. You are Ocellus nobody else.” She finished. Ocellus slowly got up and looked at her; tears were still falling from her eyes. But, they were tears of happiness. She then gently hugged Smolder. Who smiled and gently hugged her back. As they hugged Yona had walked back and sat down. Everyone noticed the stunned look and blush on her face. “Um, Yona?” Sandbar began, “Is everything okay at the forge?” He asked. Yona was silent only for a moment. Everyone stared at her waiting for an answer. The answer was not something they expected though. “Yes, everything is fine,” She answered as her mind tried to process, “Yak, just didn't know gryphons could bend like that.” She finished. Author's Note Chapter 13 finally got it cranked out. serious writers block. please review and hopefully I made you all laugh at the end. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1 Enrollment and First Impressions //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1 Enrollment and First Impressions Principle Twilight sat at her desk as she read the form in front of her. It was enrollment form for a new student. She scanned the form carefully; reading over every little detail. She smiled as she sat the form down. Before she looked at the mare and stallion in front of her. Both of them had nervous smiles on their faces. “Well?” The mare asked. “I believe your son will be a perfect addition for our school.” Twilight answered with a happy smile. Both the mare and stallion sighed in relief; as they smiled back at her. “Thank you, Principal Twilight,” The stallion thanked her, “Thank you.” He repeated in very grateful voice. “No problem.” She replied. As the three talked in her office; just outside her office a young unicorn colt sat. He had a solid white mane and matching tail. His body color solid yellow. His eyes were solid blue. On his flank was the image of a sword, knife and a dagger. He stared at the wall in front of him with a stoic face. He breathed gently as he waited for his parents to come back out. But, after the thirtieth minute had passed. He had grown bored of just sitting still. He got up off the chair and began to walk down the hall. Eventually, he came to the entrance of the library. It made him smile before he walked in and began to search its many shelves. He eventually found a book that perked his interest. His horn glowed and he pulled it from the shelf. Before walking over and sitting at one of the many tables. The book he selected was a book about the history of equestrian swords. He smiled again as he used his magic to flip from page to page. He read every word and studied every image. He even brought out a small journal from his saddlebag. He placed it next to the book he was reading; writing in it every now and then. By the time he had reached the middle of the book. A group of six creatures had walked into the library. The group consisted of a dragoness, a hypogriff, a griffin, a yak, a changeling, and a earth pony. They were talking to each other; a few of them shaking their heads at a comment. While a few of them chuckled at it. “So,” The dragoness began getting everyone's attention, “Who else almost fell asleep through miss, Applejack's. Founding of Ponyville lesson?” She asked. The changeling in the hypogriff lifted their respected hoof and claw. While they chuckled. “Yak history better than pony history,” The yak of the group spoke, “More stuff gets smashed rather than built.” She finished. The changeling then spoke, “At least your yak history and pony history; dose not have your kind leeching off other species.” She commented on her kind. As the group spoke to one another it was the griffin who took notice of the colt. He motioned his claw to gain everyone's attention and then pointed towards the colt. When they looked at the colt they asked each other who he was. How long had he been sitting there. Eventually, one of them was selected to go talk to him. It was the dragoness. Slowly, she approached the colt who continued to read the book in front of him. When she reached his side; she though he would look at her. But, he didn't even glance at her. Smolder wondered what should she say to him. Figuring, that he was so into the book he was reading. That she may spook him if she touched his shoulder. So, with a deep breath she prepared herself to speak to him. “My name is Razor,” The colt suddenly spoke as his gaze shifted to his journal, “It is not polite to stare.” He finished before taking a pencil into his maw. Allowing him to write in his journal. Smolder's mouth hung open; she was just about to say hello and introduce herself to him. And, he just spoke to her in a voice void of emotion. “If your mouth stay open long enough; a fly will fly in it.” The colt suddenly spoke again. Smolder immediately snapped into reality. Her mouth snapping shut as her senses finally returned to her. She unintentionally growled at the colt; she caught herself mid-growl. Worried about how he would react. For, a single minute both of them were completely silent. The colt reading the book and writing in his journal. While Smolder wondered who was going to break the silence again. “I have introduced myself,” He spoke up breaking the silence again, “You should introduce yourself. Unless you want me to call you by your species name.” He finished. Smolder shook her head in both frustration and annoyance. The colt sounded like some stuck up kid; probably wondering why some dragon was speaking to him. Just the very though made her want to growl again. She was about to speak to him; but she was stopped when he suddenly reached into his saddlebag. He pulled out a small pencil sharpener and began to sharpen his pencil. Razor didn't care about the dragoness he was annoying. All he cared about at the moment was was finishing the sword he was drawing. Once the pencil was sharpened to the tip. He put the finishing touches on what he was drawing. He smiled when he he had finally got the shading right. “Better.” Razor suddenly spoke as he looked over to the book. Smolder released an irritated sigh as she brought her claw up to her face. She rubbed her forehead as she tried to calm herself down. She took in a much needed breath; and slowly exhaled it. Calming herself down before she spoke again. “Hello,” She began keeping her claws at the ready just encase she needed to defend herself, “My name is Smolder.” She finally introduced herself. “Nice to meet you,” Razor replied as he focused on his journal again, “Now, can you please leave me alone. You are annoying me.” He finished. The others knew that the colt had just dug his own grave. Smolder had just introduced herself; politely. Well, in dragon standers of politeness. And, he had just said that she was annoying him. Each of them knew how this was going to end. So, before the fight had even started they had to make sure it was already finished. Ocellus and Yona were the ones to hold Smolder back. While the others gave threatening glares at the colt. Gallus got next to the colt and turned him to look at him, “Listen,” Gallus began in a angered tone, “Who do you think you are!?” He growled out. “You're feathers are blue,” Razor responded as he turned back to the book, “I hate blue.” He finished. Gallus growled louder as he made the colt look at him again. The colt showed no emotion. No fear or anger. He just stared forward at him. Gallus brought one of his claws back and balled it into a ready to punch the colt. While the others looked on in worry and horror. “If you are going to punch me,” Razor suddenly spoke, “Are you going to attempt to knock me out?” He asked. Gallus stopped for a moment; for that was a first for all of them. The colt had just asked if he was going to knock him out. Which at the time seemed like a very good idea. He nodded at the colts question. “Then you are aiming wrong,” Razor replied as he looked at the fist, “You want to aim for the jaw or the carotid artery. That will cause instant knockout if struck hard enough.” He finished. “What?” Gallus asked confused entirely on why the colt would help him. “There is another way to bring an opponent down,” Razor spoke again, “Would you like to know?” He finished his question. Gallus nodded but his answer was not words. No, it was a huge jolt of pain that shot right from his groin. He released the colt from his grasp and fell to the floor. Groaning loudly in pain as one of his friends got to his side. He couldn't believe it. The colt just kicked him in his crotch and had gone back to what he was doing. “What is your problem!?” He heard his friend Sandbar suddenly shout in anger. “He left himself open,” He heard the brat reply, “It's his own fault.” He finished. “That was low and you know it!” Silverstream shouted at the colt. Razor looked at her, “Your coat is blue. I hate blue.” He spoke to her; repeating his dislike of the color blue. Now Silverstream was angry; she was about to say something but she was interrupted by a familiar tomboyish voice. “Hey!” The voice of coach Rainbow dash shouted, “What's going on here?” She asked before seeing Gallus being helped up off the ground by Silverstream, “What happened to him?” Each of them looked towards the colt; who was already back to reading the book. Rainbow dash immediately got in front of the colt; making him look up at her. “Well,” She began, “What did you do to Gallus?” She asked. Razor's answer was one he would repeat for a third time, “Your coat and feathers are blue. I hate blue.” He finished. Rainbow dash was angered by what the colt had said to her. She was about to say something back to him. But, by then Twilight and Razor's parents had walked into the library. “Rainbow!” Twilight shouted. “Twilight!” Rainbow replied. “Principal Twilight!” The six suddenly spoke “Razor!” Both of his parents yelled but he did not reply to either of them. “What's going on?” She asked. By the time everything was explained to her. Razor parents had grown worried for not only their son. But, also his enrollment into the school. Twilight, she was stuck in between a rock and a very hard place. Her only student had just met the schools new student. Not aware of his condition that she was just recently informed of. Taking in a deep breath; she prepared herself to explain to her students Razors condition. “Everyone,” She began getting everyone's-aside from Razor's- attention, “The colt at the table,” A small hint of worry entered her mind; knowing that she was probably about to ignite a very volatile situation, “His name is Razor edge,” she continued allowing everyone aside from Smolder to know his name, “He's going to be one of our new students.” She knew this was going to probably set everything off. So, before anyone could voice their disapproval to his enrollment. She brought one of her hooves up. Allowing her to keep everybody quiet, “I understand that your first impression of him wasn't exactly a good one.” Smolder spoke up after that, “He said I was annoying.” Gallus was the next to speak, “He got a cheap shot on me and he said he hates me.” He finished. Before anyone could say anything else; it was Razors' turn to speak, “I do not hate you. Just the color of your feathers.” He spoke. As Razor's parents began to speak to their son. Twilight led the student's to the other side of the library. So, that she could possibly inform them about their new classmate. “Alright,” She began as she looked at her students, “I can safely assume none of you like Razor at the moment?” She received a nod from all of them. It made her sigh out of despair. This would probably be harder than she thought, “Well, Smolder, Gallus. I'm sorry if he hurt both of you and you have a right to be mad at him. But, understand this everyone; he didn't mean any of what he said.” She finished. “Could have fooled me.” Sandbar replied getting the others to agree with his comment. “Listen,” Twilight did her best to try and help them understand, “Razor has a mental condition known as Asperger's syndrome,” She continued as everyone looked to one another. Clearly confused by what she just said that he had, “It's a condition that is subtype of a autism spectrum disorder. He didn't mean to hurt anybody with what he said or did. He just speaks what's on his mind.” It was then that Gallus had interrupted her, “Then can you explain why he kicked me.” He finished still feeling a twinge of pain. Twilight answered, “When you replied to his question he answered. Yes, he did attack you. But, in his mind he did nothing more than answer your question.” She finished. Silverstream spoke up then, “Then, why did he say he hated him, me, and miss Rainbow dash?” She asked with the others nodding in response. “He's very honest,” She replied, “He does not like the color blue. So when he hates the color of your feathers,” She pointed towards Gallus, “Your fur and Rainbow's fur,” She continued, “He only saw the color blue. Which is a color he does not like for an unknown reason. So, he was not trying to be disrespectful or mean. He just says what's on his mind.” She finished. Her student's were more confused now. How could anypony say something like that and act normal about it. How can anypony hate just a single color and say that to another creature. How can a colt see causing bodily harm as an answer. “I know you're talking to them about me,” Razor suddenly spoke causing everyone to look towards him. His parents were trying their best to move him along, “They now know I have Asperger's; and they probably do not understand it.” The way he spoke was calm and contained. While the others felt it was more of an icy calm, “I don't think I'll make any friends in this school. Tomorrow I may make them hate me again,” He turned to leave the library as his parents tried to explain to him this may be different, “I am used to it. It does not affect me anymore,” He turned to Twilight and the others, “Goodbye.” He finished as he and his parents began to walk towards the exit of the school. The group was left in complete silence; they were left completely speechless. He was expecting to come back tomorrow; and he was expecting to make them hate him again. Sure, he did cause them to feel some anger towards him. But, they did not hate him. As he left each of them looked towards Twilight. Who looked at them with a concerned look. “I know what I'm about to ask is going to be very difficult for each of you to do,” She began as she looked at her students, “But, can each of you give him a chance. He's had a very hard time at other schools,” She continued before walking towards the exit of the library. Before walking out she looked back towards her students, “Please......just give him a chance.” She finished before walking out of the library. Her students were left to their own thoughts. Just a little while ago each of them were introduced to Razor. A colt with something called Asperger's syndrome. A colt that just attack Gallus and insulted Smolder, Silverstream and coach Rainbow dash. Yet, he didn't mean any of it. Hopefully tomorrow it would be easier. But, at the same time they wondered just how difficult it would be to get along with him. Author's Note My Oc Razor Edge is based on my little brother who has a an autism spectrum disorder. he is very brilliant in what he does. Both of them scanned the area around them. Looking for anything out of the ordinary; both of them then met on one side of the bridge. They nodded to each other and began to walk back into the town. That was until a small splash caught their attention. They walked back and looked down at the river. Lyra had used her magic to summon a magical light. They scanned the waters calm surface; searching for whatever had made the sound. Her magical light slowly moving closer to the underside of the bridge. A loud croaking sound came from the left. Lyra immediately fired at the sound; killing a random frog. With another nod the two walked back into the town. From beneath the bridge Smolder slowly swam out. Behind her were the others; each of them-aside from Razor- had a look of worry on their face. As all of them slowly swam up to the shore. They gently climbed up and out of the water. All of them having to resist the natural urge to shake the water off their bodies. Razor looked around a little. “Looks clear. We should move.” He said causing the others to nod. All of them were heading towards his home. Earlier that day he had tried to go and get his back up forge. Thankfully Gallus had manged to stop him. But, getting his forge was still on his mind. So with careful thought each of them chose to return to Ponyville with Razor. So that they could help him get his forge back. They figured out a way to sneak into Ponyville; a way that would possibly allow them to remain undetected. They carefully made their way through town and to Razor's home. Smolder, Silverstream, and Yona stood guard. While the others helped Razor search for his forge. After a few minutes a searching Razor had stopped. “She destroyed it.” He said causing everyone to look at him. All of them could see his second forge in his magical hold. It caused all of them to sigh heavily. All of this way for nothing is what they all thought. He then dropped his destroyed forge to the ground. As he began to walk back towards the town. Gallus quickly moved in front of him, “Where are you going?!” He asked. “To the school.” Razor answered earning him a glare from Gallus. “Are you insane!” Gallus growled in anger, “Your forge is back the school!” “I know,” Razor replied as he tried to walk around him. Only to have Gallus step in front of him again, “Gallus, please move.” He said kindly only to have Gallus shake his head in response. “Razor, all of us including me; only did this because. You said, you said,” He brought his claw up and gestured towards him, “That this would be a safe get in get out mission. Where there would be no chance of us; running into that crazy mare or the mind controlled inhabitants of this town.” He continued while the others nodded in agreement, “Now, you want to go to the school. Which is on the other side of town. Where the river; which we need to use for cover. Does not flow near or around. All because you need to get your forge.” He finished. “Yes.” Razor answered simply. Gallus wanted to disagree with him; but his brain denied him, “Okay,” He said while turning to the others, “We're going back to school.” He finished everyone shook their heads; nothing is ever easy with Razor. A fact that each of understood with time. A fact each of them knew they were going to learn to hate. The group slowly made their way through the town. They had to use the ally ways in order to maneuver around the many patrols. It took them a while to reach the school; which surprisingly had no patrols around it. They moved around the school and saw his forge; which was surprisingly still standing. Sandbar smiled as he began to walk towards the forge. He was suddenly stopped by Smolder. “Smolder, What?!” He was interrupted by her throwing a stone towards the forge. The stone flew through the air for a few seconds; only to be destroyed by a magical beam. “Traps.” She said as they looked towards the area where the shot had come from. On one of the walls of the school they saw some type of strange crystal. The crystal looked like a diamond. But, it was shining with a magical aura. It was more than likely enchanted with a sentry spell. A spell that would automatically attack any unwanted guests. The only problem was with one sentry there was probably five or six more of them. “Great,” Gallus said in a rather annoyed tone, “So how do we get rid of them?” He asked. Ocellus spoke up, “We need to destroyer each one. I think Twilight said that you can send the magic back by.” She was interrupted by multiple loud explosions. Everyone flinched at the sounds as they looked at the source. Silverstream had walked forward and help up her piece of the pearl. Which when it was fired upon reflected the beams of light back. She turned back to the others who looked at her in horror. “What?” She asked just as a red orb shot into the sky. It exploded just like a fire work, “What was that?” She asked. “Magical flare,” Razor spoke as he walked up to his forge, “They know we are here. We need to leave now!” He finished as he walked up to his forge; he used his spell to shrink it down to size. The group could hear the sound of many hoofsteps approaching. They began to run through the streets of the village again. Like before the ponies they all knew were chasing after again. Some of them shooting magical beams at them. While others were throwing nets or setting traps up ahead. And, once again the group managed to narrowly escape the village again. But, what they did not expect was an ambush in the forest. For, the moment they entered the forest they were attacked by a large timberwolf. The timberwolf growled and chased after them. Snapping at one of them; whenever it was close enough. Razor saw that it was going for Ocellus and in a magical flash. He had summoned a blade from his forge. “Ocellus!” He shouted as he chucked a large dagger towards her. She caught it in her magical hold; just as the wolf had pounced her. With a scream she brought the dagger in front of her. Watching as the wolfs body slammed down onto her and the blade. It released a yelp of pain as it landed. The group watched as Ocellus crawled out from under the injured animal. With a scream she plunged her dagger into the wolfs hide again. She screamed every time she would stab the animal. Listening as it yelped and whimpered every time. By the time she had finished; she was covered in the wolfs yellow blood. She was panting heavily as she looked at the now dead animal. “I,” She began her voice sounding very fragile, “I did it.” She said her tone shifting to that of one that was very calm. Smolder winced a little at the way she sounded, “Um, Ocellus are you okay?” she asked. Ocellus looked at her with a grin that seemed forced. Her body trembling a little, “Me, Fine. I'm perfectly fine, I just managed to defeat my very first timberwolf. Why wouldn't I.” She was interrupted by Smolder suddenly hugging her. Her hold was gentle and comforting, “Smolder?” She asked. Smolders hold only tightened around the changeling, “Ocellus, it's okay to cry. I cried my first time.” She said. Ocellus had a face that showed no emotion, “What are you talking about?” She asked as her brain started to slowly process everything, “I'm....I'm not,” She began to sniffle a little; while tears started to form at the edge of her eyes, “I'm....I'm not going to.......I'm not going to cr-.” The flood gates opened and she began to sob heavily. Her hooves wrapping around her dragon friend. While the dragon held onto her, “Great scarab what have I done!” She screamed. “It gets easier, Ocellus, “Smolder said trying her best to sound reassuring, “It gets easier I promise.” She finished. Author's Note now this chapter is short because I'm actually about to start breaking the young six into sword using. and, I also wanted to try and do something that....well....actually happened when I was out hunting with my father for the first time. no I did not kill a wolf. but, I was eager to prove my self to my father. (what son isn't.) so, out on my first hunt with him. I got my first deer. but, well, what happened with Ocellus actually happened to me. I cried after my first kill. But, what my dad told me was true. it got easier. no, it does not mean I go out and kill animals for fun. my father raised me to respect the rules and laws of hunting. so, yeah, I am not gonna lie. I cried and cried because well. couldn't believe I could do it. anyway that's it. sorry for the short chapter again. but, this was something I've been really wanting to type.
