Chapter 1: The Fiery Start
A small group of four young women stood in front of Crystal Prep High School. The oldest, looking to be in her late twenties, was the shortest of the group standing at only 5’2” (160 cm). The woman was dressed in a skirt suit that went down to her knees, dress shoes, and dark stockings. Her dark purple hair with a strip of pink and magenta was put up in a ponytail. A long package was strapped to her back.
The first teenager, standing to the woman’s left, looked like a carbon copy of the woman except the large rimmed glasses, her hair being tied up in a bun, and being two inches taller than the woman. Instead of a business suit, the teenager was dressed in a school uniform consisting of a purple vest over a light blue dress shirt, a purple tie, a purple and black plaid skirt, blue socks, and black loafer shoes. She also seemed more nervous than her older doppelganger.
The second teenager, who was standing on the woman’s right, was the tallest of the four standing at an impressive 6’5”. Her red and yellow hair was free flowing, going down to the middle of her back. Like her purple skinned sister, she wore same uniform but having the vest open and no tie. She wore small rimmed glasses.
The last teenager, who stood in front of the red head teen and the older woman, stood at only 5’4” the same height as the first teen. Like her sisters, she wore the same uniform except no vest and had the shirt untucked. She also wore a pink beanie on her head, covering some of her purple and green streaked hair. All three teenagers had some kind bag, whether it is a satchel (the girl with the beanie), a one strap shoulder bag (tall red head) or a backpack (the nervous girl) filled with their school supplies.
This is the Sparkle family; the elder Twilight Sparkle, aka WA2000, Twilight Sparkle II, Sunset Shimmer-Sparkle, and Starlight Glimmer-Sparkle. After a few seconds of silence, Sunset smirked and yelled, “Get ready bitches! The Sparkles are in town.” After the strange vocalization, Sunset runs into the school laughing. Seeing this, Starlight smirked and ran after the more athletic of the sibling trio. Twilight II squeaked and nervously ran after her sisters. WA smirked before pulling her face into a neutral impression and calmly walked into the school.
What small amount students that were in the hallways this morning frantically moved out of the way as two blurs, one red and yellow and the other purple and green, blazed through the hallways. The students looked on stunned and then saw a third teen trying her best to catch up and a shorter woman casually walking behind the teen with no problem.
The red and yellow blur was able to see the principal’s office in time, skidding to a halt. This blur was revealed to be Sunset. However, before she can retain her balance the purple and green blur, Starlight rammed into her causing both to fall onto the floor. Twilight caught up with them a little bit later. As she reached the pile of limbs, she came to a stop hunched over so she can catch her breath. Not even a second later, WA was there looking down at the three. “Ok, you three. That is enough,” WA said, sounding bored before she walked into the office. The door closed as the three sisters stared after their adopted mother. Realizing the time, the three scrambled into the office after their adopted mother.
“…expect excellence in your teaching abilities as well as…,” the principle was saying before being cut off by the sudden barging in of Sunset, Starlight and Twilight. The principle, who was a woman of average height, glared at the three for rudely interrupting her. Principle Cinch glared at the three freshmen before continuing, “…excellent performance from your daughters.”
WA’s eyes narrowed slightly at the condescending tone of the principle. It went unnoticed as Principle Cinch went to a filing cabinet and took out four pieces of paper, three class schedules and what looked like a list of classes. Without saying anything, Principle Cinch handed the three class schedules to the three teenagers and the list of classes to WA. All three sisters noticed that they have at least three of all classes together and then have another three where at least two of them will be together. They all had a different seventh period. WA looked at her class list, seeing that it was all history classes. “You will find the rest of the details for the classes in the faculty office on your desk. Dean Cadance will lead you to there,” Principle Cinch said in her most pleasant voice.
As soon as that was said, a young woman with yellow, purple and pink hair walked in with a smile. “Ms. WA?” she asked. WA turned to the newcomer and nodded. “Please follow me. You three are free to go and explore. There is still an hour before classes start,” Dean Cadance said they walked out of the Principle’s office.
As the dean and WA walked to the faculty office, the three sisters decided to wonder around in order to explore their new stomping ground. As they were walking down the hallway, looking for their locker, they heard a loud and brash voice call out to them, “Hey there, newbies!” They turned around and saw a group of five girls.
The one that called out had goggles perched on top of her two-toned blue hair that was slicked back. She was smiling broadly with her hands on her hips in a wide stance. Standing to her left was a girl with white and blue hair in pigtails and wearing wide rimmed red glasses. She had a bored look on her face and her arms crossed over her chest. Next to her was another girl with purple and blue hair that seemed to be in some kind of hime hair style. She had a smirk on her face that showed she had a slight superiority complex. Like the girl next to her, she had her arms crossed over her chest. To the first girl’s right are two other girls. The first girl to the right had pink and green hair in a high ponytail and freckles on her cheeks. She stood with her hands behind her back. The last girl had two-tone long green hair and pink headphones over her ears. She was bobbing her head to whatever she was listening to with her eyes closed. Twilight let out an eep, before hiding behind Starlight. Sunset stepped up and slightly in front of her sisters before saying with a raised eyebrow, “Can we help you?”
The girl with the superior-like smirk moved forward a little bit before saying, “We just wanted to help you darlings since it seems you are lost. By the way what are your names, Hun?”
Sunset looked at her deadpanned before saying, “Isn’t it polite to introduce yourselves before asking for someone else’s name?”
The girl looked slightly taken back before quickly recovering, “Oh of course. How silly of me. My name is Sunny Flare. The girl with pigtails is Sugarcoat, the girl that yelled out to you is Indigo Zap, the sweet looking one is Sour Sweet and the idiot with the headphones is Lemon Zest.” As they were introduced, they each made a small gesture: Sugarcoat nodded, Indigo Zap gave a wide grin and a peace sign, Sour Sweet gave a small wave and small grin, and Lemon Zest gave a quick rock on sign.
Sunset looked at each one before nodding, “My name is Sunset Shimmer-Sparkle. The girl in the beanie is my sister, Starlight Glimmer-Sparkle. The girl behind her is my other sister, Twilight Sparkle II.” Starlight didn’t show any outward emotion as she was introduced, and Twilight gave a nervous wave from behind her sister.
The five other girls gave each confused looks about the last bit but decided to drop it. “Sweet, so what do you say to a tour of the school, huh?” Indigo Zap said as she suddenly appeared next to Sunset with her arm around her shoulder and started to lead them down the hall without allowing the new students to answer.
It was quiet in an abandoned convenient store in the ghetto area of Canterlot City. Suddenly, one of the windows shattered as a dark clad figure jumped through. The figure was in a black shirt, pants, gloves and boots. The person’s face was covered by a black bandanna over its mouth and sunglasses covering it eyes. Gunshots can also be heard as the figure recovered from the jump and started to dash through the small store.
As soon as the figure was halfway through the main store area, two more figure jumped through the window in hot pursuit. The first of the new figures stood at 5’7” (170.2 cm) and had shoulder length brown hair. She wore a police officer uniform that was modified with a Chinese like skirt. She also wore black leggings.
The second new figure stood at 5’1” (154.9 cm) and long black hair. She also wore a police uniform, but the only modification was that it is black instead of blue. The second police officer growled in annoyance and frustration as they continued the chase. The first one noticed her partner’s frustration and said, “We will get him sooner or later Laura.” The newly dubbed Laura looked at her partner and nodded.
As the Shadowbolt 5 was giving the Sparkle sisters a tour, Dean Cadance was doing the same with WA. The two faculty members stopped in front of a door labeled 215. “Well, this is your classroom. My office is across the hall from Principle Cinch’s office. If you need anything, just come on in,” Dean Cadance said before she walked off, leaving WA in front of the classroom. Without skipping a beat, WA opened the door and walked in. Since it was still early, the classroom was empty except for desks, the necessary equipment like a whiteboard, a teacher’s desk and a few classroom decorations that was history related. She puts her long package in the corner that was behind the door before walking to her desk and started to look through paperwork.
Third period just ended and all the students are doing their own thing while on break. The three Sparkle sisters and the Shadowbolts 5 were hanging out on the soccer field playing a little game of soccer. Well, it was more of 2 v 2, Starlight and Sunset against Indigo and Lemon. Everyone else was on the sidelines watching the game. A few other students were spread out in the outdoor quad, just a little bit closer to the school buildings. The four students playing soccer were so focused on the game, they almost didn’t hear the loud scream from the sidelines. The game immediately stopped and everyone looked in the direction of the scream. What they saw made them go white with fear.
A person in all black was holding Twilight at gunpoint and in front as if she was a human shield. Everyone else was slowly backing away and staying behind two female police officers. The two police officers had their own pistols drawn and pointing at the person in black. Even more yelling can be heard from other students that are also witnessing the hostage event. The person in black is yelling for the police officers to put down their weapons or else the hostage dies. The police officer with short brown hair starts to slowly put down her pistol when a gun shot went off. A soft thud was heard as the other policer officer’s pistol falls to the grass. Angry, she clinches her functioning hand. The first police officer hears a slow but subtle sound. Without taking her eyes off the person in black, she puts her hand on her partner’s shoulder to try to calm her down. The person in black puts the gun back to Twilight’s head. Tears are streaming down Twilight’s face as her life is flashing before the eyes. Without warning, another gunshot goes off and blood splatters onto the grass.
