Unknown arrives at CHS during the Sunset She-Demon incident and merged with the crowd. As she joins the onlookers she sees six teenage girls, all glowing with elongated hair and similar attachments on their bodies. On the other side was a fiery red-skinned creature akin to a devil. It has sharp, pointed fingers and appears to exude an aura of power with it’s very presence.
Unknown has never quite seen something like this before. After the battle was over, next to a beam of rainbow light, although concluded the whole She-Demon incident.
Unknown decides to act. She asks in a voice just above a loud whisper, "What is going on?"
"They saved the school from Sunset," a girl said, “Queen Bee, she was the Apex predator, not sure what she is now though…..”
Unknown continues to ask questions and she soon came to learn the names of the six girls; and the apparent she-demon's name. The name is Sunset. This school was odd form the get-go. Unknown was genuinely interested. Magic, odd aesthetics and a former top dog? She had to know more. You know they say curiosity killed the cat. Luckily for Unknown the cat had nine lives.
Afterwards, she meet with Principal Celestia and Vice-Principal Luna in their office and got straight to the point. Unknown took out her transfer sheet and handed it to Principal Celestia while expressing her reasons for attending the school, listing a few merits she would hope to strive for as well as just a general like of the school.
As per usual with transfers she was asked basic questions relating to her health, any disorders, school history and the like and before the night ended she had gotten the green stamp.
“You’ll be starting tomorrow,” Principal Celestia cooed warmly as she walked to the door, ”Don’t be late and remember, my door is always open,”
Unknown nodded with a smile on her face and exited the room, then the school. She had quite a bit of preparation to do.
//Give or take a few months//
Unknown practically skipped to school, excited at both the day before her and a bit anxious. What she was doing to the five girls could be called borderline stalking, buuuuut it was interesting so why not. She wasn’t harming anyone.
Unknown sat in her classes, hand supporting her head as she stared dumbly at the board, her mind revisiting events that transpired the night prior. She a string of drool impacted her book and she was jolted back to the world of the living by a slight sting on her forehead.
“Oh? How was your dream Ms. Known?” Ms. Harshwhiny asked, her tone rock solid and face rigid as she glared daggers at Unknown, tucking away her long-ruler back into her drawer, “I’d like a full length essay on it by tomorrow morning, am I clear Ms. Known?”
The class giggled at her expense and she sheepishly replied, cheeks flushing pink in embarrassment, “Yes Ma’am.”
Dear Lord she slept through five periods! And recess! Luck was on her side as the bell rang for lunch. Unknown stashed a it of money in her pocket and walked to the cafeteria, taking a fruit salad, apple and bottle of Pear cider. She then walked over to an empty table and placed her tray down, munching on the sweet apple.
She spied from the corner of her eye the girl they called Sunset Shimmer gravitating towards her table and indeed the bacon-haired girl took a seat across form Unknown.
Sunset smiled and spoke in a soft, approachable tone, "Umm. hello I'm Sunset Shimmer, what’s your name?" Unknown continued to munch on her food, the only acknowledgement of Sunset saying anything at all were sparse glances in-between consuming food and simply staring at the broad.
"Um, are you shy," Sunset asked, a bit of sympathy staining her voice.
Unknown raised an eyebrow and responded snarkily, "I'm not shy, I don't talk,"
And just like that started a chain of conversation between the two. It was filled with short answers and many dead ends but nonetheless by the end they had both introduced themselves and Unknown was opening up a tad bit.
"Why did you come to CHS?" Sunset asked while attempting to rid an apple skin from her teeth.
She said, "Some weird stuff happened in my former town. Not the best of things really….” Unknown gulped and continued, the strain clear in her voice, “We were good at first, me, mom and dad. Then some people came in. They pulled bags over our heads and before I knew it I was in a cage, crying my eyes out as someone shot me with a tranquilizer,”
//Flashy flashy flashy back//
"DADDY!!" a smaller unknown cried as she was hauled over the shoulder of a burly man dressed in black. Her limbs became numb and refused to respond she couldn’t even resist, though she knew it would be pointless.
"LEAVE MY FAMILY ALONE!!!" Rogers shouted angrily as he body slammed one of the men, only to be shot with multiple tranquilizers as a group of them dragged him and his wife out the door, the latter kicking and screaming on the way out.
Unknown and her family awoke in large cages,, the roar of a transport vehicle doing nothing to quell their growing anxieties. They pressed their ears to the driver’s side and to their dismay it was a most unpalatable outcome. Science experiments. They were going to be used for military grade experiments and ‘best of all’ they had no immediate family, therefore less bridges to burn. Unknown’s body began to shake as a panic-attack washed over her.
Her father grabbed her shoulders and embraced the crying child, "Everything will be fine sweetie," Rogers whispered
"You need to be strong, brave, and we always stay together," Serena added as she too joined the embrace, her eyes glistening, her fear for her child was apparent.
"Promise?" Unknown asked sheepishly as she sniffled, the rivers of tears abated.
"Promise," Serena and Rogers replied in unison, warm smiles on their faces.
