My Brave Pony: Power Rangers Starfleet

Sunday morning, Sapphire woke up to Snowflake and Midnight licking her face. "Morning you guys." She climbed out of bed and exited her bedroom, encountering Striker. "Hi Striker." The Triple Stryke roared a greeting. She entered the bathroom, washed up and put her clothes on.

Right then, she noticed how quiet is was in the huge mansion. Usually she would hear Luna, Celesto and Celestia in the kitchen along with the children babbling. This was... odd. ".... Hello?" she called.

No response.

She walked all around the mansion and didn't find any sign of them or the servants. On the ground was a small substance. It was orange and smooth to touch but hard when she pressed down on it. Midnight, Striker and Snowflake appeared at her side. "I feel like I've seen this before... but where." She exited the mansion and found Flamestripe and Smoke and Fire. "Flamestripe, Smoke, Fire, have you seen Mr. Grandruler and the other?"

The two dragons shook their heads.

"Weird."

"Maybe there's someone in the city that can help us."

Sapphire mounted Snowflake and they all flew over the city. Surprisingly, there was nobody in the metropolis either! No children running around and no parents going to work. She went to her friends respective homes and found... nothing. All that was found was the same orange colored substance she found at the mansion. "Alright, this is weird. There's nobody in the mansion and there's nobody in the city."

Walking through the ghost town she looked around for anything that would help her figure out what happened. Suddenly, she was grabbed by something and pulled into an alley. "Wah!" The dragons dashed into the alley and snarled at whom grabbed Sapphire. Sapphire got free and turned around. ".... Marla, Bronc, Keto?!"

It was true. Vulcan's minions were there in the flesh. "What are you three doing here?"

"What did you do with our master?" Marla asked.

"Huh?" Sapphire replied.

"When we woke up he was gone and all there was was this orange stuff." Keto claimed holding up the same orange substance. Sapphire gasped, "That's the same stuff I found throughout the city!"

"You did?" Bronc questioned. "Then, if Vulcan wasn't taken by you. Then... who did?"

"Looks like we have a real mystery on out hands." Sapphire said. "We have to figure out who took everyone."

The minions were taken aback. "I'm sorry. 'We'? Oh, no, we're not working with a ranger. Forget it!" Marla scoffed. Bronc and Keto weren't too keen on the idea either. "Please, we're the only ones left and my dragons."

The minions still weren't interested. "If we save everyone then maybe Vulcan will respect you a little more." The minions perked up a little. "... Fine, we'll help." Bronc replied gruffly.

"Great!" Sapphire cheered.

The four of them went to the soccer field near Canterlot High to review what they knew. "So when you three woke up, Vulcan was missing?" Sapphire started

"Yes, usually he's screaming at us to wake up." Marla responded. "But today he wasn't"

"All that was there was this orange stuff." Keto added.

"Is there anything else that happened?" Sapphire asked.

"Well... there was this weird noise we heard last night." Bronc added.

"What did it sound like?" Sapphire asked.

"It sounded like a badly written song." Keto answered. Sapphire thought for a moment. There was no animal that could have captured everyone just over night. If there were, there would me lots and lots of footprints on the floor and signs of a struggle. But the fact that there weren't meant that if wasn't an animal that done this act. "Hmmm.... sounds like some kind of dragon to me."
"You think a dragon could be responsible for this?" Bronc inquired.

Sapphire nodded, "There's one dragon in here that can make this substance." she started looking through her Book of Dragons. "Where is it."

Just then, they all hear loud song echoing across the island. "That's it! That's the song we heard." Marla exclaimed. "It sounded like a siren song." Sapphire's dragons seemed to be in a trance for a moment. Their eye pupil's turned small but it was only for a second.

"It came from the far side of island." Sapphire replied. "Come on." Sapphire mounted Snowflake and flew off followed by the other dragons and the minions. The followed the song to a large cove. They all landed and entered the cove.

They all gasped in horror. There were a lot of people trapped in the substance. They struggled to get loose, but the substance was too strong. They all walked into the cove. "This is bad." Sapphire said.

"But what is this stuff?" Marla asked. She went over to one person and tried to pull it off, but it was in vain. "This stuff is thick." she commented. Sapphire looked around and gasped again. "Guys!" she cried. She ran to her friends all trapped in the same substance. They all gasped in joy. "Sapphire!" Lightning cried.

"Thank goodness, you're here." Celesto added.

"Get us out of this stuff." Fluttershy whimpered.

The minions looked around and saw not too far from the rangers was, "Master Vulcan!" The three of them race over to Vulcan who was trapped against a wall. "Are you alright?" Marla asked. Vulcan grunted, "I'm fine." he replied gruffly. "Sapphire, please tell us you know what this stuff is." Lightning pleaded.

"I've seen this before with a dragon-"

"A dragon?!" Rainbow cried.

"Yes, but I can't remember the name."

Just then, they all heard several roars in the air. That's when they appeared.

Three 75 feet long dragons with striking and bright colors of blue, yellow, and orange along with colorful wings , fins on the heads. Long spines along the back and long horns and barbles.

The landed on the top of the cover and roared loudly. Sapphire and the others hid behind some rocks while the dragons snorted and flew off. They came out and went to their friends and master. "What... was that?" Luna questioned.

"Just as I feared... Death Song Dragons."

"Death Song Dragons?" Celesto said, not liking the sound of the them. "Yes, they're part of the Mystery Class of dragons. Very dangerous. They use a siren-like song to lure dragons and in this case, people in their territory and then traps them in an amber like substance that really hard to break."

"You're telling me." Buddy added.

"So, will since they usually lure dragons into here, they're safe right?" Marla asked. Sapphire sighed and shook her head. "Death Songs will prey on anything, but other dragons are their favorite food."

"So those things will..." Celestia started.

"Eat you when they come back... yes." The rangers and the Grandrulers' were horrified. "Get us out here, NOW!" Rainbow screamed.

"Is there any weakness to this amber?" Keto asked, trying to wack the amber off of Vulcan.

"It's weak to dragon fire." Sapphire replied. "Flamestripe, use your-"

Before Sapphire could finish the command the Death Songs came back and roared at Sapphire, the minions and the other dragons. "Aww geez!" Bronc whimpered. They fired the amber from their mouths. "Watch it!" Sapphire shouted. The minions screamed in fear and rushed out of the cove followed by Sapphire and the dragons. They roared loudly, establishing their territory and went back into the cove.

Sapphire, the dragons and the minions caught their breath. "Talk about a close one." Keto said.

"You're telling me." Marla agreed. "We need a plan to get those Death Songs away before Vulan becomes their next lunch."

"And my friends." Sapphire added.

"Whatever."

"Anyway, how are we gonna lure them away?" Bronc questioned.

"We can't battle them, there's too many. Our only hope is for someone to act as bait and lure them away from the cove so someone else can get in a free everyone. But who's gonna be the bait?" Sapphire asked. Then she gave a mischievous smile to the minions and they caught on to what she meant. "Us, bait. No way, No How!" Keto stated. Marla and Bronc agreed.

"Oh come on, you three are the only ones who can lure them while me and my dragons free everyone." Sapphire explained. "Vulcan, may respect you more~"

That convinced the minions, "Alright." they all said.

Back in the cove, the Death Songs approached the people and the rangers, ready to grab them and eat them. "What are we gonna do?" Fluttershy whimpered. Just then, lasers came and hit the Death Songs and they roared in anger. They all saw Bronc and the minions in the air, "Hey lizards, come and get us!" Marla taunted. The Death Songs roared and flew after the minions and thy flew away from the cove.

This gave Sapphire and her dragons the oppurtunity to rushed back into the cove. "Guys."

"Sapphire!" Sunset cheered. "Get us out, quickly!"

"Right, Flamestripe, Smoke, Fire, Striker, Fire!" The three dragons blasted the amber, breaking the cocoons holding the people and the rangers. They set Vulcan and the other wild dragons free. The wild dragons roared and flew away from the cove. "Come on!" Sapphire snapped. Everybody rushed out of the cove and into a field. "We're free." Celestia said.

"Thank goodness." Celesto added.

The minions saw everyone was free and blasted the Death Songs creating a large smoke cloud. The Death Songs were distracted and when the cloud vanished they found the field and the cove empty. The dragons growled an decided to find food somewhere else. There was too much trouble here for food.

The minions and Vulcan went back to the tower while the people and the rangers went back to the city and cleaned up all the amber. "You saved us again, Sapphire." Sunset said.

"Yeah, you and your dragons... and the minions, which is weird." Rainbow said.

"Maybe there not so evil after all." Sapphire smirked. Lightning rolled his eyes, "Yeah, yeah, yeah, but they're still the enemy."

"I know." Sapphire replied. Celesto and Celestia watched all of them with smiles on their faces. Sapphire had really stepped up and became a leader during a crisis and they were most proud of her.
